Well you see i downloaded this new version and i dont use
flash to put stuff on the internet i use it to veiw the internet i
saw some topics over this already and that it is somthing with the
internet explorer window. Can someone tell me what i have to do to
be able to veiw flash on the internet is there a patch i need or do
i just need to use a different browser for a while until they put a
new patch or version of IE. Any help will be greatly
apriciated
Where are you getting the installer file from? Try getting it from here. It should be only 15MB.

A lot of people are reporting this today. Can you check whether it works in Firefox's Safe Mode (with add-ons disabled)?
First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
Next, try starting Firefox in
[https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode Firefox Safe Mode]. Be careful not to "reset" anything permanently if you didn't back up.
Does YouTube work in that mode? If so, one of your add-ons, particularly one in the Extensions category, is a prime suspect. -
Downloading newest Flash Player, facing problems with "Spotify Helper EH."
I keep trying to download the newest Flash Player but each time I try to do it, it says that the program is having trouble installing the program due to "Spotify Helper EH." I have disabled everything within Spotify minus of uninstalling the program but it keeps popping up. Has anyone ever dealt with something of this nature, or know how to get past this issue?

Locate Spotify Helper in the Processes list. Click it and click the Octagonal icon at the top left to terminate the process. -
Problem downloading newest Flash player
I've been having issues just trying to get the updates that come out, so I decided to uninstall my old Flash player and install the newest one (which is what the Help section tells you to do). However, the intaller stops working when the initialization starts, and gives me the message "Installation encountered errors Actionlist not found". My computer satisfies the system requirements listed under that section, and the 10.3 version worked fine. Any ideas?

Newest flash player installed but window keeps popping up saying I need it installed
I have tried over and over again, installing, uninstalling the Newest Edition of Adobe Flash Player. Even though the icon shows up in my programs listing saying its in the computer and that the installation was complete, I still get these small windows showing up stating I need to install the latest flash player when I want to view certain videos. Is it in the computer or not? Help!!
I have a Compaq Presario F700 32 bit computer with Internet Explorer 9 as defaullt browser. I have been having issues getting the flash Player to work....it keeps coming up that I need to download the Flash player when I try to view a video online,like off the weather channel or You tube. It IS in my program list when I open up Programs. sometimes videos come up, other times not. I uninstalled it, reinstalled it, uninstalled it again and again, the screen says that it installed successfully but the window still pops up saying I need to install the newest edition. I have been having issues with my computer after updating a PC cleaner ARO2012, but this download is taken out now, Also when I put a recent update on the Weather channel, the computer froze up, otherwise it was doing pretty well yesterday. It seems like I have a problem with updates from companies, I noticed it twice that the computer froze up soon after.
Also I removed recent downloads thinking that was the problem but the issue still remains. I have done everything that Adobe had instructed in regard to trying to fix this. Even my Microsoft Fix it comes up with errors and I cannot run it. I am beginning to think that my computer is just old(over 5 years) and the downloads are being affected by my hard disc drive not working properly. I did a disc check and one time it stated I had a corrupted Disc C. But then on Startup repair it claimed to have deleted or fixed the problem. I get blue and black screens popping up on my computer often, saying that the program had to close to protect the computer. So I don’t know...I did everything possible. when I go onto the Adobe website.....that little screen they ask you if anything shows up on it to determine if Adobe is installed? After installing the newest version of Flash Player, on most YouTube videos I try to play the message, "An error occurred. Please try again later." comes up. Also, on websites like Tumblr other media, like audio and videos uploaded there, don't play at all - it's just a blank white space where it should be. This all works fine in Chrome.
I've tried everything I can think of - I cleared the cache and removed cookies, updated all plug-ins, uninstalled and reinstalled both Flash and Firefox, disabled Ad-Block, ran it in Safe Mode and private browsing, restarted my laptop a couple of times - but none of it worked.Thank you, fixed it.

Why can't I access the download link for the newest Flash Player build?
So I want to update my Adobe Flash Player...
If I head over to Adobe.com and go to Download > Adobe Flash Player, I am sent to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/?promoid=JZEFT
Then, if I click "Install Now" (also my anti-virus does accept software installations) I am simply directed back to Adobe.com
It's an infinite loop and no matter where I look for alternate downloads I am sent back to the same place with the "Install Now" button, again directing me to Adobe.com

This comment applies to malicious software ("malware") that's installed unwittingly by the victim of a network attack. It does not apply to software, such as keystroke loggers, that may be installed deliberately by an attacker who has hands-on access to the victim's computer. That threat is in a different category, and there's no easy way to defend against it. If you have reason to suspect that you're the target of such an attack, you need expert help.
All versions of OS X since 10.6.7 have been able to detect known Mac malware in downloaded files. The recognition database is automatically updated once a day; however, you shouldn't rely on it, because the attackers are always at least a day ahead of the defenders. In most cases, there’s no benefit from any other automated protection against malware.
Starting with OS X 10.7.5, there is another layer of built-in malware protection, designated "Gatekeeper" by Apple. By default, applications that are downloaded from the network will only run if they're digitally signed by a developer with a certificate issued by Apple. Applications certified in this way haven't actually been tested by Apple (unless they come from the Mac App Store), but you can be sure that they haven't been modified by anyone other than the developer, and his identity is known, so he could be held responsible if he knowingly released malware. For most practical purposes, applications recognized by Gatekeeper as signed can be considered safe. Note, however, that there are some caveats concerning Gatekeeper:
It doesn't apply to software that comes packaged as an installer. Treat all third-party installers with caution.
It can be disabled or overridden by the user.
It can be bypassed by some third-party networking software, such as BitTorrent clients and Java applets (see below.)
It only applies to applications downloaded from the network. Software installed from a CD or other media is not checked.

Notwithstanding the above, the most effective defense against malware attacks is your own intelligence. All known malware on the Internet that affects a fully-updated installation of OS X 10.6 or later takes the form of so-called "trojan horses," which can only have an effect if the victim is duped into running them. If you're smarter than the malware attacker thinks you are, you won't be duped. That means, primarily, that you never install software from an untrustworthy source. How do you know a source is untrustworthy?
Any website that prompts you to install a “codec,” “plug-in,” or “certificate” that comes from that same site, or an unknown one, is untrustworthy.
A web operator who tells you that you have a “virus,” or that anything else is wrong with your computer, or that you have won a prize in a contest you never entered, is trying to commit a crime with you as the victim. [Some reputable websites did legitimately warn users who were infected with the "DNSChanger" malware. That exception to this rule no longer applies.]
“Cracked” copies of commercial software downloaded from a bittorrent are likely to be infected.
Software with a corporate brand, such as Adobe Flash Player, must be downloaded directly from the developer’s website. No intermediary is acceptable.
Java on the network (not to be confused with JavaScript, to which it's not related) is always a potential weak spot in the security of any operating system. If a Java web plugin is not installed, don't install it unless you really need it. If it is installed, you should disable it (not JavaScript) in your web browsers. Few websites have Java content nowadays, so you won’t be missing much. This setting is mandatory in OS X 10.5.8 or earlier, because Java in those obsolete versions has known security flaws that make it unsafe to use on the Internet. The flaws will never be fixed. Regardless of version, experience has shown that Java can never be fully trusted, even if no vulnerabilities are publicly known at the moment.
Follow these guidelines, and you’ll be as safe from malware as you can reasonably be.
Never install any commercial "anti-virus" products for the Mac, as they all do more harm than good. If you need to be able to detect Windows malware in your files, use the free software ClamXav — nothing else.
Remove ANY Antivirus software you have because YOU DON'T NEED IT WITH OS X.

Unable to load GUI error when trying to download newest flash player
I had deleted the older flash player , 10.0.42.34 and tried to download 10.0.45.2. Went to the adobe site, clicked the link for "get adobe flash player" from the ADOBE home page .
Got the "Unable to load GUI" error message, so I just went to the bottom of the download page and installed from this link here

I am participating the the original thread, but "eidnolb" suggested i start a new one since my setup is slightly different.
To sumarize, I have turned off my anti virus, unistalled the latest version, rebooted, installed the latest version from the desktop Adobe installer, rebooted and checked for the latest version at the Adobe site and found that it was not installed at all, although the Adobe Flash Player 10 ActiveX shows as an active program on my Control Panel. No error messages either in the uninstall or install. Also, Shockware Flash Object does not show on my Manage Add In Tool. I have done this same process many times with no success. Additionally, i have looked in my Registry and the Kill Bit Key posted in the other thread by eidnolb (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\ActiveX Compatibility\{D27CDB6E-AE6D-11CF-96B8-444553540000}) is not there.
System specifics. VISTA OS. McAfee Anti Virus and Firewall. IE7 but I also dowloaded IE9 with the same negative result. I went back to IE7 with the idea of resetting the system in it's original form which came with the HP computer. (is this a good idea)
I believe this started when my system was contaminated by the E-Set Antivirus 2011 malware. This nasty beast hijacked my IE and protects itself so that I could do nothing. Used my laptop and Googled the malware which resulted in several sites offering solutions. I went to bleepingcomputer.com and followed their instructions for getting rid of the malware. This included starting in "safe mode with networking" downloading a program call RKill to temporaily disable the malware and then downloading and running Malwarebytes Anti Malware. This program cleaned the malware from the PC. However, i don't know what it did to the registry, but I believe that's where the problem is. There is a paper published by Adobe at http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/494/cpsid_49419.html which describes the symptoms i've encoutered and describes a Microsoft process to reset the registry. i'm hesitant to try it since an error would likely cause some really serious problems and i'm not an IT guy

Mp3s playback broken in newest flash player
Hi
I've been developing flash sites for many years. Many of them
are dynamic.
Recently since upgrading the Flash Player (9,0,115,0
installed) in my Firefox browser, a flash site I've built for my
university work has broken. But the same site works fine in IE with
Version 9,0,60,235 installed.
Mp3s that are loaded dynamically from a separate folder do
not play. They worked fine before christmas, they played fine; the
swf has not changed; the files have not moved; the code is the
same. They simply do not play.
Have there been changes to the flash player security that
would disable playing mp3s that exist on the same server?
Do I now need a crossdomain file for my own mp3s on my own
server?
I feel strongly that Adobe must begin to respect and ensure
backward compatibility or risk losing its customers. I will have no
interest in developing in Flash if my sites could all suddenly

Very basic setup.
Since I want the capability of using the page locally (not
always on a server with php) I generate a list of mps and write
that to a txt file using php once.
Then each time page loads, read in the mp3s.txt file and
assign a property "mp3" to a button-movieclip, then use a hitarea
rectangle mc within that button-mc to call on the first press of
the rect button :
this._parent.son.loadSound("mp3s/"+this._parent.mp3, true);
Since the buttons appear, i know the txt file is being read
correctly....
Since the sound plays in IE browser with the other version of
player i know the basic setup is correct.

Hi, I have an iMac OSX 10.4.11 & everything I used to use won't work because it tells me to update my flash player to version 10. But when I try, it says that it's not supported by my operating system. I can't upgrade the system, I have no budget for that. I don't know what to do. I need a flash player that will make things work for me again, but I can't upgrade, what do I do?
The last really supported Flash for PPC was 10.1.102.64, but if it's for like Facebook or such, people have been fooling FB to think they have a later version installed.

Installed newest Flash Player, "An error occured" message on Youtube videos not working
I have the latest version of Flash Player (12.0.0.70) and Firefox (27.0.1) installed but I'm getting the "An error occured" message within 1 or 2 seconds of playing a YouTube video. If I uninstall Flash from the computer it works perfectly. Why is this happening? This isn't happening on my other computer which has the same versions installed.
I tried disabling ProtectedMode for Flash Player, completely uninstalling/reinstalling, clearing the cache and cookies, etc. It just won't work if Flash is installed. I'm stumped. Help would be appreciated.Did you also try to disable hardware acceleration in the Flash player plugin?
