Newest itunes update wont load 2-22-06
I downloaded the newest update for itunes and now it will not open. Tried restarting. Tried deleting the program completely and re-installing using the disc that came with my nano and still....it will not load when i double click on it. What can i do?
I have had the same problem...I updated when told a new version was available and have not been able to open itunes since...I unistalled and then reinstalled with the original software and then transferred all of the itunes music saved in my documents back onto it but it still won't play...I went to the support site and did everything they reccomended and still no luck...hopefully someone will respond that can help here.

Although you're getting a different error message, I'd try the following user tip with that:

hi, i have an imac which i bought second hand but but the itunes store wont load up nor will me songs ect sync with the itunes on this comp? i have had no issues with this on previous laptops.... any more of this and i may move to samsung! please help!

Did you reformat and reinstall when you first purchased it?
If not I HIGHLY recommend you do that before you do anything else. -
Itunes store wont load properly after upgrading to 10.5
My itunes store wont load at all. Loads halfway, and stops.

I am looking for suggestions and possibly a solution to the following problem: The new itunes update requires at least a 10.6 os.x. My imac is a 10.5.8. I am unable to sync my iphone or ipad, which both have the update, with my imac. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
You need to buy a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD and run the 10.6.8 combo updater.

Macbook freezes with newest iTunes update
I have Macbook from late 2007 OS 10.5.8, and when I downloaded the newest update for iTunes 10.5.2, it installed succesfully. However, when I opened iTunes after the prompt of successful installation, it gives me an "Updating Library" load window. After completing about two-thirds of the library update, it freezes iTunes. I can't force quit, and if I try to get to the Finder to force the force quit, the whole machine freezes and I have to reboot. Should I dumb down the iTunes software so that my older laptop can handle it? Thanks for any advice.

HT1349 Itunes update wont let me edit song info ?
I go right click and get info on a track and it simply wont let me edit any info, it never did this before I activated the most recent itunes update. Please someone tell me how to fix this ? its driving me crazy
I had the same problem and I noticed that the songs that I could not edit were all ACC format. The Apple Lossless songs could be edited. To check to see if this is the case with your songs, right-click on a song, select "Get Info", and, under the "Summary" tab, the version is listed as "Kind".
To fix:
1. Highlight a song that you can't edit.
2. Under the "Advanced" menu at the top of your iTunes screen, select "Create Apple Lossless Version". This will create a duplicate song in your library.
3. Check to see if you can edit the new version.
I had to change the format of 6,000+ songs. If you have a large library (or even if you don't, I guess), here is the easiest way to change the formats of all the songs:
1. Highlight a group of songs (I have been choosing groups in alphabetical order).
2. Click on the "Create Apple Lossless Version" option in the "Advanced" menu.
3. When all of the duplicates have been created, the original "bad" versions will stay highlighted in blue.
4. Right-click on a blue area and deleted all of the original versions.
This worked for me but it may have something to do with my settings. You may need to experiment to see what versions of songs will allow you to edit them. Good luck! -
Itunes store wont load; bar loads half way then goes blank
For some reason, I cant access the itunes store. The loading bar will only load up to half way, then the page will stay white and the bar will disappear. I used to be able to before, but all of a sudden it just doesnt. I'll post the diagnostics that itunes gave me. Any help is appreciated. thanks!

How many of you use the gaming NICs from Bigfoot Networks like the Killer Xeno Pro and so forth? You can type: netsh winsock reset all you want, but when Windows 7 reboots, you get a message box saying the "LSP needs to be reset. Do you want to do this now?"
If you say NO, it will keep popping up and annoying you until you do. In the meantime iTunes Store loads perfectly. Once you allow that message to reset the LSP, the iTunes Store no longer loads. I have brought this up with the people at Bigfoot Networks by putting in a trouble ticket...for whatever good it will do.
These NICs are supposed to be fine tuned and tested for online gaming and I've never had an issue with it until now. My iTunes has always loaded just fine with it before iTunes 10.5. So, maybe it's an issue on Apple's end as well. I just wanted to post this an let everyone who owns these cards know what I found.

Everytime I try to install the newest iTunes I get the error message,
"There is a problem with this windows installer package A program required for this install to complete could not be run contact your personnel or package vendor"
halfway through the install. I have tried every troubleshooter that half relates to my problem on apples,and microsofts webites, as well as several I found using Google. I know I can't be the only one having this problem. I would be gratefulk for any help someone could offer. Thank you.I'm having a really similar problem but my error message says "installer has insufficient permissions to modify this file: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\dns-sd.exe."
I really don't have any advice except do NOT follow the 'general troubleshoot' crap on apple and delete your itunes. I did that hoping it would fix the problem and now I have the same problem and no itunes- it won't re-install.
Other than that I was hoping maybe if you figured anything out you could let me know and vice versa? Maybe we have the same problem somehow.

After newest iTunes update i cant sync music to ipod! erroe OxE800400C
I was having issues with my 3rd Generation iTouch, so I restored it. After having issues restoring it, i updated all the newest software (iTunes 10). Once I tried syncing it I realized something odd...my music wont sync! All of my apps synced perfectly but my music and podcasts arent. The bar at the top of the screen says "Copying 1 of 1: 'song name'" and the bar just wont move. My iPod says "sync in progress" and will sit there for a half hour or so before a box comes on and says the device timed out and error code OxE800400C. Also, everytime i try to sync it the whole iTunes program becomes non responsive and im forced to end the task and start over, only to have the same thing happen again. I have tried everything I can think of and i have found no solution to this problem. Can someone please help me im so frustrated and cofused!!
Interesting, I get this exact same error! And it's the music on mine as well -- however, it will copy SOME songs over. It still syncs with my older iPod, and my new iPod will work on my other computer, which it was never connected to before. I'm hoping you hear an answer soon!
