Newly activated Palm Treo 700wx unable to make calls

Just activated an old Treo 700wx and I am able to use the internet but unable to make calls or receive text messages. Just ends the call right after it began. Tried hard reset, soft reset, re-activating... nothing.

I suggest you go to the HP - Palm web site and to the community forums there. You will see a thread how Syniverse, a subsidiary of Altel, ATT, Verizon, et. al changed their coding schemes and that the Palm Treo 700WX can't accomodate the new scheme. I contacted the CEO of Verizon Wireless and they fixed it for me only.

Palm Treo 700wx sync with Palm Desktop

Newbie here, so please excuse if this is already in here somewhere! I've been using Palm Desktop (v4.0.1) syncing with a Sony handheld device (Clie). The Clie died, and I purchased a used Palm Treo 700wx (Sprint) for both cell phone use and as a PDA. Darn if I can find anywhere how to sync the Palm Desktop with the Treo 700wx. Am I missing something somewhere?

Hello melemiller and welcome to the Palm forums.
The Treo 700wx, running the Windows Mobile operating system, can only sync to Microsoft Outlook. You will need export the data out of the Sony edition of Palm Desktop and import it into Outlook and then install the Microsoft ActiveSync 4.5 software on your computer to sync the Treo to Outlook. If you are using Windows Vista, you need to use the Windows Mobile Device Center that is included as part of Vista to sync with Outlook.

Palm treo 700wx unlock code

I have Treo 700wx CDMA Alltel phone ( Softwre Version: TREO700WX-1.11-ROWEN runing on Windows Mobile 5.0 OS 5.1.195 ) and I want to use with Indonesia service providers. But the phone is locked can any one help me to unlock the phone to use in Indonesia service providers?

in my country use a RUIM, but somehow still able to input data from a RUIM card to the Treo 700wx.
and the issue is resolved.

Windows Mobile 6 for Palm Treo 700wx (Verizon)

I'm sorry if this is similar to other posts, but I didn't find any I was looking for specifically.
Up until Christmas Eve I had a Palm Treo 700wx from Verizon with WM5 on it update 1.22. On Christmas Eve my phone pretty much became useless. Verizon tech support could not resolve the problem so they sent me to a Verizon store to get a replacement. This phone now has WM6 (I use this term loosely I'll explain later) update 1.24.
Ok, so great WM6 I think. Need to learn new stuff some things are in different places and some stuff is just plain different and new GREAT!!! Then while surfing the web to get myself knowledgeable in the ways of WM6 I start finding myself to become very very disappointed. I find that most of the joys of WM6 are missing. Yeah great I think where are they. I see talk of a Task Manager that actually looks like the Windows XP Task Manager (I can't find this on my phone). I hear talk of these neat things called plug-ins (anyone know where they are?)... I hear this thing about My Desktop ummm is that supposed to have replaced the Today Screen, because I can't find that on my phone. It seems to me that Palm has rolled out a bastardized version of WM5/WM6 and labeled it as WM6 this is quite disappointing.
Can anyone tell me how to get on my phone what is seen is this video link: http://video.msn.com/video.aspx?mkt=en-us&vid=44589ab6-7674-4730-8fb0-ea730631fd77 this is supposed to be a video from Microsoft highlighting the features of WM6 with Microsoft engineers doing the highlighting. The guys in the video are talking about Windows Mobile 6.1. Your Treo 700wx now has Windows Mobile 6.0, the same as the Treo 750. The featutes of Windows Mobile 6.1 are not available in the 6.0 Professional release.

Palm Treo 700wx Anoying "W-Fi Warning"

I just purchased a wi-fi card for mPalm Treo and get this anoying Wi-Fi Warning message saying to disconnect the wi-fi when making emergency calls. Does anyone know how to turn this message off? It comes up when trying to type in the Network Key making it necessary to start over! It is a real pain.

The message you are receiving is not something you can disable, that I am aware of.
Try turning off the cell radio by pressing the red phone key until it turns off the cell service. Then try to setup the wi-fi card again.
If that doesn't work, you may want to contact Verizon. I found this on the internet regarding the wi-fi card in a Palm Treo 700wx phone.

I just found out that Verizon has managed to block the use of the Palm WiFi card in their 700 WM phones. Isnt that special?

Can't login to AOL - Palm Treo 700wx Verizon

It used to work fine, however recently it won't. Using Palm Treo 700wx, Internet Explorer - I go to m.aol.com. I put my username and password in. It says 'locating' and then does nothing. Screen stays the same. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to try? Verizon was no help. It's driving me nuts! Thanks in advance.

I would try clearing your cache and cookies in IE from menu, tools, options, select memory tab, delete files, on the security tab , choose to clear cookies. Try again to browes out to you AOL URL. You could also try a restart on the device using the following steps:

I can make calls if i used desk phone for calls but iam unable to make calls whet i turn the option use pc to make calls
p.s: i have set up CCMCIP (CUCM ip address) for all users.

Trouble with palm treo 700wx

hi new to forum and palm treo. i had a centro but wanted a windows software phone. anyway my phone on activation was working fine, the next day, i could make a call but i couldnt hear anything nor could anyone hear me. i messed with it and found that i could hear through the speaker, but cant even use it that way now. did both the hard and soft reboot, no help. any ideas, i was messing with the phone that night tryin to learn how to use. did i screw up a setting or something

thanks for the reply, the sprint store agreed with you that it was hardware related and exchanged it for a new 1. i had purchased it on ebay and got the insurance when i activated it, so i now have a brand new 700 for less than a hundred and no contract.
1 more question, is it possible to get stereo sound out of the 700 headphone jack?? i tried the adapter that i had bought for my daughters rumor, but only mono sound. what can i do??

How do I backup my contacts/calendar on my Palm Treo 700wx to my PC?

After loosing my entire address book this weekend due to something not working with my password on my device, I had to hard reset it which I am back at square one. To prevent this again can anyone tell me what I can do so that It will save my contact list and my calendar on my PC? I tried to select it on the Active Sync options but it will not check.. Any help is appreciated

Have you tried to do a regular sync from your palm to your computer?
After installing the Palm Desktop cd onto your pc, you need to click on the hot sync button (it is one of the applications you will find listed on your device) and then click on the middle hot sync icon. Your device will start to connect to your computer and all your info will be backed up on your pc when the hot sync is done.

My Palm Treo 700wx seems dead

Hi im hoping someone can help. This morning i found my son with my treo700wx and when i took it off him it now will not turn on or reset or anything, i plugged it into charge and nothing, no lights no noise ....nothing.
I had the keyguard on, if there are many failed attempts at that would it lock me out completely??
I have tried everything i can think of so any suggestions would be a great help please

Thanks for the suggestion, tried that just now and still nothing. It has me completely stumped!
It has been flashing on and off randomly last night, coming to the Treo loading screen then the windows mobile screen then seems to fizzle out again. I cant turn it on none of the buttons seem to do anything. Yesterday when the screen flashed on it also said that there were a few failed attempts to put in the keyguard code and to make sure it was just mistaken button pushing to enter the code A1B2C3, i did that and everything seemed fine, it went back to normal, i could go into messages and look around and then it has now gone back into hibernation never to be woken again!
It hasnt gotten wet so i have no idea what to do. Does anyone have any idea how long the warranty covers these phones??
Any other suggestions would be awesome

Palm Treo 700wx

I just bought a new Treo 700wx, and I'm wondering what (if anything) will be compatible with my mac. It said on the Palm website that it was only compatible with windows, but I liked the phone, and I prefer windows mobile to the Palm OS (I would have preferred the Mac software via an iPhone, but At&t has horrible service in my area). I know I can buy the "Missing Sync", but I wanted to know if that was really necessary.
Any tips from anyone?

While Missing Sync isn't required for a Bluetooth file transfer, I never had any luck transferring any files to/from my 700wx regardless of what Mac I was using.
