My newly purchased ringtones do not show up on my second phone

How are you trying to get them onto it ? Ringtones are a one-time only download, so if you want them on it then you will need to connect the device that you downloaded them on to your computer's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases to copy them over to the Tones part of your computer's iTunes library, and you can then sync them to your other phone - is that how you're trying to do it ?

In iTunes, Click Edit --> Preferences --> General Icon Ensure that Ringtones is checked. If not, check it then click OK

I purchased some ringtones, they disappeared (don't know why) and I can't download them again. Usually it wil show a cloud to show I purchaed them but for ringtones this does nto seem to be the case.

Ringtones (and audiobooks) are a one-time only download from the store. Where have they disappeared from ? If your iOS device then do you have copies of them in the Tones part of your computer's iTunes library or on your backup of your downloads/library so that you can sync them back to the device ?

Why can't I sync my music without erasing my entire current iphone library???? Newly purchased MP3s don't transfer from my (authorized) laptop itunes.

My desktop no longer works where previous MP3s and CDs were downloaded. I currently use my laptop now and cannot get recently purchased MP3s to sync on my iphone 4 without erasing my current iphone library and replacing it with what is on my laptop. I've searched and experimented with every possibility (it seems) without taking the "big step" of syncing my entire library. My current iphone library has 990+ songs and my laptop itunes library only has 381. I don't want to lose what I've got already. Anybody????

There are third-party programs like those discussed here that can transfer non-iTunes purchased music to a computer.

Why are my purchased ringtones and alert tones being removed from phone?

I Have brought a ringtone and two alert tones twice and both times all have been wiped from phone and default tone put back???

I purchased ringtones from i tunes and sync with my computer at home i lost my ring tones i paid for, how do i get them back on my phone

I purchased ringtones from i tunes on my i phone 5, and when i hooked it up to my laptop at home i lost my ringtones. i can go to i tunes and see them but i cant figure out how to get them to my phone. any ideas?

You can re-download the ringtone but it will not be free like apps.

Iphone 4s purchases don't showup on itunes

I just upgraded from iphone 4 to 4S and I notice that it shows up as a device but any of my new itunes purchases dont show up in the "Purchased on iphone4S" nor does the phone even show up.
When I go to "Transfer purchases to Iphone 4S" itunes says "Waiting for synch to start" and then "Waiting for changes to be applied" but the phone or songs don't showup under Itunes Store as "Purchased on...Iphone 4S."
The songs have been transfered to my Ipad and to the computer that the phone is synched to and play just fine.
When ever I click on Itunes>file the transfer purchases still is bolded.
I am using Itunes 10.5.1 have icloud and Itunes match.

The phone will not show up under Purchased. If you have made purchases on the new phone, iTunes should create a new playlist when it is sync'd and the purchases are transferred back to iTunes.
However, seems to me this may have changed recently, possibly with iCloud/iTunes Match being released. And it's kinda irrelevant anymore with the ability to download purchases on any/all devices and computers.

You should have transferred them to your computer and backed up your computer.
Sync them from your computer to your iphone.
You only get one download.

now I m regretting it. Plz fix it soon. I m not upgrading 2 iOS 5.0.1 as it may further affect my battery life. The battery is draining at a phenomenal rate. Within HDTV 5 minutes if use it was down to 95% 4m 100% :( plz release the new version or I vil b in a great trouble.

If you are so unhappy take it back to Apple and either ask for your money back or for them to repair it. There is no other way.

My purchased ringtones are not showing up on my iTunes account?! Where are they??

The screen on my laptop has an internal crack so im using my mom's laptop for now. When I connected my iPhone to the computer, I couldn't do anything without syncing my phone which meant everything got erased! I wasn't too upset because I backed up everything on iCloud. Well for some reason, it didn't back up anything and I lost all my media. No biggie. I added most of the songs and apps back. I tried to add the ringtones I've purchased from iTunes but they're not showing up under the "purchased" section of my iTunes account. I don't know why they're not showing up. It's at least 20 ringtones that I've purchased at $1.29 each! Please help!!

I purchased three ringtones on my iPhone 5. They installed quickly and I was easily able to assign them to contacts. The next time I connected my iPhone to iTunes on my computer the ringtones disappeared from my iPhone. They were still showing in iTunes ringtones section on my computer. They showed up on my iTunes accounts page as being purchased too. I tried everything suggested on the forums to get my purchased ringtones to show on my phone again, with no success.
I started trying different things out of desperation and finally lucked upon a solution. I opened iTunes on my computer. Under the Library section I opened Tones (left side of screen same section as music, movies, etc.). When the tones section opened it showed my three ringtones. I dragged the three ringtones to the desktop. I then deleted the three ringtones from the tones menu. It asked if I wanted to delete them from iTunes completely or just from the tones section. I chose to delete them from the tones section only. Once they were deleted From the tones section i went back to the desktop and dragged the three ringtones from the desktop back to the tones section. The computer automatically synced to my phone and VIOLA! the three ringtones appeared on my iPhone again.
Extra suggestion. I have been using an app from the iTunes Store named Ringtone Maker Pro. It takes songs from my iTunes library and converts them to ringtones. It does a great job. There is a video attached that shows exactly what to do step by step.

You can only sync with one iTunes library. If you sync with another one the iPod will be erased and its contents replaced with what is in the library of the second computer.
However, you can manage music among multiple computers. See:

All of my purchased ringtones and songs dissapeared out of the blue. How do I get them back without having to buy them all over again?

Out of the blue, all of my purchased ringtones and music aren't displayed anymore on my iPhone.
I went to iTunes to see if they were stored there, but the downloads folder also appears to be empty. If I try to select a ringtone I've downloaded before, a popup appears saying that I've already purchased that item and asking if I want to cancel or buy. If I click on buy, then I pay for the item again even if I already have it! The only place I can still see my purchased items is in the iTunes application on my computer, but even though I've already selected sync, the ringtones and songs still won't appear on my iPhone.
What happeneded and how can I get them back without having to pay for them all over again?

I'm having the same problem on an iphone 4s running iOS8; when i updated to iOS8, all my ringtones went missing, and when i got a £50 gift card for christmas (2014), I purchased some songs from the iTunes store on my iPhone. i downloaded songs from paramore, panic! at the disco, coldplay, and imagine dragons, over wi-fi, and they went into my iphone music library; but when i re-opened the music app a few days later, in a place where i had no wi-fi, except for my 3G phone signal, some cloud icons appeared next to my newly purchased songs, telling me to re-download them from the cloud, when i haven't even deleted them. this has happened twice now, and i had to use up some of my 5GB data allowance to redownload them from the cloud. This is annoying and i need to fix this issue ASAP.

Oh, don't worry. I know exactly. I'm a retired law enforcement officer after 30 years. I didn't mean for them to allow you to use the Internet, I meant for them to assign an officer to try and track the device for the victim. Again, that would require the victim to provide their Apple ID and password, which most would not want to provide.
Pinging the phone as you mention is only when there is probable cause and that is done through the carrier.
I'm glad to see someone also understand that a stolen cell phone is not as important to law enforcement as it is to the victim. It is unfortunate as smartphones get more expensive. Hopefully as iOS 7 makes it debut later this year, the work Apple has done will have some impact on smartphone theft. Other manufactures and carriers are starting to improve here in the states. It never was something carriers worryed about with blacklisting. This is where they were a step ahead in Europe.

I don't know where you live or what you're talking about being sent from one address to another. Your iMac has a 90 day warranty with tech support and service, if needed. Apple has toll-free phone numbers in the US. You call that number, get to speak to a tech, give that person your computer's serial number and describe the problem. I suspect that there are similar arrangements in other parts of the world. That is "direct contact" with Apple. Have you tried to do that where you live? Wny are you trying to communicate in writing (by e-mail?)? In addition, if you don't have Apple Care you should immediately purchase it if you're still eligible. It'll extend your warranty to 3 full years.
