News and other story videos will not play in Firefox for Yahoo v20.0.1,adobe and java are current. All I get is a circle going around, videoes work fine in IE9.

All plug-ins are up to date and current, have disabled and checked for problem plug-ins with no results. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, Adobe Flash Player, Java, Real Player multiple times with no results. Have also uninstalled my antivirus program temporarily with no results.

Do you have that problem when running in the Firefox SafeMode? <br />

• Video will not Play in Firefox 7.0.1

I was getting a blank screen and video would not play. I tried URL Below in IE Explore 32bit and 64bit and video played fine.
I first disabled Flash Player in Firefox went to http://www.weather.com/weather/videos/news-41/top-stories-169/cat-stares-down-mountain-lion-22257 video !
Video would still not play. So I went to control panel in Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit Programs and Features and removed Flash Player, Note there where several version, one was 10. something and the newer one 11.0.1.152. After renewing I again went to link above and was advised I needed to install Flash Player. I re-Installed from Adobe and verified that it was installed in Windows and received no video again. Note there are 2 versions installed one for 64bit and one for 32 bit but both have almost the same name. One has X64bit and the other has 64 bit. It is noted at Adobe the 64 bit contains both 32bit and 64bit install. I still can view video after re-install in IE 32 and 64 with no problem. Same thing happens at this URL that I view all the time http://www.ky3.com/weather/ video is under Latest Video Forecast. It plays in IE fine.

• Netflix and Youtube will not play on Firefox but I can still hear sound and can pause with the space bar. Works fine on Internet Explorer.

All of a sudden last night after Firefox restarted after an update I am no longer able to play Netflix or Youtube. I can hear the sounds from whatever I select to play but the browser is black and I can even pause using the space bar but no interaction with the cursor. Both Netflix and Youtube work fine on Internet Explorer... I tried updating plug ins, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling plug ins and I even uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox itself but nothing has helped. Not sure what steps to take next...

Hello,
Some problems with Flash video playback can be resolved by disabling hardware acceleration in your Flash Player settings. (See this article for more information on using the Flash plugin in Firefox).
To disable hardware acceleration in Flash Player:
#Go to this Adobe Flash Player Help page.
#Right-click on the Flash Player logo on that page.
#Click on Settings in the context menu. The Adobe Flash Player Settings screen will open.
# Click on the icon at the bottom-left of the Adobe Flash Player Settings window to open the Display panel. <br/> <br/> <br/>
# Remove the check mark from Enable hardware acceleration.
# Click Close to close the Adobe Flash Player Settings Window.
# Restart Firefox.
This Flash Player Help - Display Settings page has more information on Flash Player hardware acceleration, if you're interested.

• I have purchased a few albums recently and some of songs will not play as it comes up with a pop up saying they are not authorised to play on this computer. However, when I fill in my Apple ID and password, it says it is in fact authorised...

Therefore, I seem to be going around in circles with it and I'm stuck with half albums and they won't play on my iPod. I don't know what to do about this. Maybe it's something really obvious that I'm missing??

Delete the tracks from the iTunes library, allowing iTunes to move the track files to the Trash. Then download the tracks again from the iTunes Store via this procedure:
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519
That fixes the problem for many people. If problems with the tracks persist, go here:
iTunes Support
and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store.
Regards.

• Many youtube videos will not play in Firefox - I get the error message - "no video with supported format and MIME type found"

this is a recent problem - the videos play in Chrome and Explorer, but not in Firefox

This happens if Firefox uses the HTML5 media player and can't play the media file.

• I noticed after switching from IE9 to Firefox that some website videos will not play. How is this corrected?

I sometimes want to look at how-to videos. Some play and some do not in Firefox. When a message does come up on the screen it says someting like 'sorry, but the video will not play...do you wish to download the plugin?'. Because I am very catious about what I download, I am not confident about downloading a plugin. Does anyone know what I need for Firefox to play all website videos?

• Certain website's videos will not play, MLB and Jay Leno's garage. Why?

Not sure when this started to happen - perhaps the last update but now the Baseball website and the Jay Leno's garage website's video will not play. They appear to go to sleep while loading. (The little circle goes round and round but never stops.) Other sites seem to work fine.
== This happened ==
Not sure how often
== Since the last update??

Try these steps, taking the next one if a previous one didn't help:
*clear cookies and cache (usually helps with site specific issues),
*test it in safe mode (usually helps if a recently installed addon is troublesome;
**start it in normal mode again then,
**disable all add-ons in tools - addons,
**then re-enable them by halves to find the culprit),
*remove and re-add Firefox to your firewalls trusted lists (helps if you can't access the web after an update).

I updated to IOS 7 on my Ipad 2 and now videos will not play, they freeze and skip and will not play.  Can anyone help?

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
