News iviews in business package for CRM

Hi ,
I have uploaded the standard business package for CRM . In the first workset for "Home" the page for "news" has ivews like
1) press releases referring to the path /sapcrmnews/Partnernews/PressReleases
2) partner news referring to the path /sapcrmnews/Partnernews/PartnerNews
3) success stories referring to the path /sapcrmnews/Partnernews/SuccessStories
etc ...
All of these iviews do not display the content and show an error message "Item not found . The item you are attempting to access is not available. Check that the name or link is correct. You might also check whether the associated repository is currently accessible."
When I go to the KM content I can only see the folder /sapcrmnews but the directory structure that these iviews are looking for cannot be located . Should not the directory structure required by these iviews get created automatically when the business package is uploaded ? If not then do we need to manually create the directory structure ? How does the content get displayed in the iviews for the standard business package ?

We are on CRM 2006s (5.2) and aside from the Best Practice (BP) for CRM 5.2 (v1.52) where can I download Business Packages for CRM 2006s (5.2)?

Check, if your S-user has a connection to the CRM 5.2 System.
If you have this connection, you should be able to download the BP's.
I had the same problem - and I found out, that our CRM 5.2 System was not visible in my S-user System overview...
I added the system and found the related Business Packages...

as far as i understand the objects for this business package are located in PCD under "Migrated Content->EP 5.0->*".. there are hundred's of objects here.. and you are saying that i need to delete each and every object under here manually? there's no other better way? or would it be wrong if i delete folder by folder??

Attachments in Business Package for CRM

Hi together,
have anybody an idea what the reason is, that I can't open attachements (pdf, bmp) which I have assigned to a business partner in the business package for crm? I have the link but nothing happen if I click on it.
Inside the SAPGui it isn't a problem to open or download the attachement.

Search documents with Business package for CRM 4.0 in EP

Hello!
I configured the business package so that I can browse through the different crm folder, but I can not add them to a trex index. When I add the folder "sapcrm" (described in the install guide) to an index, no documents are found.
I am using Business Package for SAP CRM 4.0 60.2.3

Installing the Business Package for CRM 4(60,2_3)

I am importing the BP for CRM 4 and getting some errors while importing it.
Error 1:
I get a lot of errors for the profiles that is not deployed... Like the profile navigation, default, xmlform and so on.. I.E:

Hope you have raised an OSS message side-by-side so that SAP can help you out if there is something very basic missed during installation.

Portal Content - Business Packages for CRM 7.0 and IC Webclient

We are looking at CRM 7.0 and SAP Netweaver Portal 7.0 integration. 
I've noticed that the Business Package (BP) for CRM 7.0 contains very limited business roles for: 
Channel ManagerChannel Manager 
Partner Manager 
Channel Manager (Telecommunications) 
Partner Manager (Telecommunications) 
Customer 
Digital Asset Management 
Incentives and Commissions 
only.

In the past, there the BP for CRM 5.0 contains a lot more roles including customer service representatives and managers. Given that the standard business role export (from CRM 7.0) and import (EP 7.0) does not work for IC Web client business roles, is there a standard way for functionality delivered in IC Webclient like Customer Service to be integrated into EP 7.0?

Otherwise, if we were to configure each BSP page individually for IC Webclient, will there be functions that do not work? eg: alerts, manager realtime view of CSR activities, call tracking, telephony integration etc..

There are two approaches (that I'm aware of):
- install external authentication (such as an LDAP which can be populated from the R/3 backends)
- install an additional Java instance
I would go for both of them because
- it will make things easier if you implement other functionality that is in the portal (non-ESS)
- it will avoid patching one portal and to keep the SPs of both backend systems in sync with the portal

Business Package for CRM 4.0 EP 6.0

When i set up a user with a role of "Sales Manager", I see the "Activity Management" tab up the top.The sub navigation "Activities" displays an itemized listing of the activities with a "start date", "start time","end date" and "end time" in the columns.However when i double click on a line item to display the details, the date and time get wiped out and reset to zeroes.
Has anybody come across this issue? Any help would be appreciated.Thanx

How to install Business Package for CRM 4.0

Hi,
I have downloaded the same business package but I don't know how to install it on EP6.0 SP16.
The business package is a .zip file and I don't think it would be accepted by the Portal Import or by SDM for deployment. Correct me if I am wrong.
Can you please list down the steps to install it on Portal ?
Any help on this would be appreciated. And points would surely be awarded.

Thanks for a prompt reply.
The business package is a .zip file and it contains the following files and folders:
1) Two folders namely global and roles
2) .ivu, .pag, .par, .pkg, .tpl are the file extensions inside the zip
I don't think it would be accepted by the Portal Import or by SDM for deployment. Portal Import needs .pkg for EP5.0 and .epa for EP6.0. SDM needs .sda or .sca files for deployment.
Do you remember how did you deploy it or import it ? By the way, did you import it or deploy it ? Looking at the par files here, I am sure it has to be deployed. But I have never come across this .ivu, .pag and .pkg files for deployment. Secondly, I have never come across .par file in Portal Imports.
Any clue ?
Let me check if SDM accepts this .zip file.

Installing Business Packages for CRM 5.0

Hi Experts:
We had recently installed CRM 5.0 with CRM-APP, JCRM with AS ABAP, AS JAVA, EP, BI JAVA.
I had wanted to know if you guys knew of the SAP guide that would let me install BP-CRM on the same system.
I know it requires AS-Java and EP to work and both of those NW components have been installed.
The sytem is a test environment (App Server and DB on the same box) At present we haven't configured any CRM solution.
Any and all help is really appreciated.

Hi,
this applys for a separate Portal installation, but sice you have usage type EP maybe it also applies to you:
download the BP CRM 5.0 from the portal content studio on SDN. It's global available now.
Deploy it using the SDM of your portal installation.
(Add a substitution parameter to the SDM repository tab before com.sap.cm.share with value of your installation server e.g. D:\usr\sap\<SID>\global\config\cm )
This deployment takes some time as the package is quite big!
Afterwards you will find the new content in the Portal content directory. It is now in another path than BP crm 4.0. Now you find it under "Content provided by SAP / Specialists/"

ECM: Business Package for Compensation Specialist

Hi,
so the last ECM project I worked on, the portal resource installed the compensation specialist business package.
But now I am having trouble confirming exactly what should be installed.
On sdn, there is a great excel sheet that is recently updated, that has all the expected business packages we need and helpful information on each package (mss, ess, tms, erecruiting, etc)

However, to my surprise nothing was in this list for Comp specialist.
Through various searching - i am really only finding this compensation specialist business package, which looks more like ECC 5.0, but I guess it must also work on 6.0, ep4??

HIi Siddharth, thx for confirming, this was my guess.
It also appears that much of the new ECM analytics integrated with BW in EP5 is being moved under the TMS 1.51 (Talent Management Specialist) Application.
If they are moving ECM reports there, I don't understand why you would not just incorporate all the BSP links / folder structures so that 'BP Compensation Specialist 60.2' could be officially retired.

ICSS , Is it part of business package for Portal

Hi,
ICSS - Internet Customer Self Service.Role customer has related ivews.That doesn't require IC webclient.
If you need interaction center ie customer support or call center there are two roles available for that.
Interaction center agen and interaction center administrator.
