News Videos will not play just get black Screen

I have IE 11 and FP12. When I click on a news video get black screen with message need FP 9.0.115. Why does the video not work?

Video does not play just a green screen

help.
i built a dvd project with several video (m2v) files.
then i did some changes in fcp and re-exported the files, same names etc.
then in dvdsp - some of the video files will not play, or play 2 secs only, or play as a green screen...
tried re-exporting, that worked twice, tried rebooting that worked about twice too, but now nothing works.
anybody had this problem?
btw the software is all up to date, fcs 2.

the bitrate is just from a dvd setting in compressor - i think i've eliminated that though, since this only happens to some files, whereas all the files are from the same compressor setting. i think it's 90mins draft qual.

HT204382 Telestream finds the plugged in HDVR file but will not play..blank black screen no sound or picture. DivX will not download. Error report sent to Apple. Any ideas how to import / play AVI files?

Downloaded VLC and can play, trying now to edit clip and put it into a keynote presentation. Bought Mac as got fed up with windows but still not got used to it!

Many times the Yahoo news videos will not play.

Many of the headlining news stories have accompanying videos. When I click on the video, I get a black screen with an never ending rotating blue circle in the middle of the field, as if it is looking for the video, but it never starts up. I can open other website videos, for the most part. But, for some reason, the Yahoo videos cannot be viewed.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

Yahoo odd news video will not play,

When I try to watch odd news video all I get is a blank screen with a revolving circle. Other videos are fine.

Some Songs and Videos on New Itouch Will Not Play

Itouch 3g, 64g, firmware 3.1.2; running Win XP, Itunes v9.0.25; only one computer and one account. All songs and videos purchased from Itunes. Upgraded from an Ipod Classic to the Itouch.
Some songs and all videos will not play on the Itouch (they all work in Itunes and on the Ipod Classic). On the Itouch, hitting play on the songs just toggles between the play icon and the pause icon with nothing happening with the song; other songs work as advertised. Hitting play on the videos results in the message "This movie could not be played."
I have searched the posts and faqs and tried the solutions suggested in the apple support faq: tried resetting, deauthorizing/authorizing, etc. Nothing solves the problem.

I went back and made a list of all the songs that would not play on the PC and Ipod Classic but not the iTouch. I then turned on the "Kind" column in iTunes to compare the list. It appears the songs listed as "Protected AAC" are the ones that are not playing on the iTouch. All songs that are "Purchased AAC" seem to be the ones that work.
All of the videos are "Protected MPEG-4 video file(s)" and none work on the iTouch.
As noted earlier, all songs and videos work on the PC and the Ipod Classic.
Is this a DRM issue? If so, is there a legitimate fix available?

Video will not play, yet audio does.

Like the header says, all of a sudden I go to work on a project I've never had trouble with and the video will not play; it is frozen wherever the cursor is. Yet the audio does play. I've tried clearing cache, clearing premiere cache, gone all over the internet to try and find an answer, of course India is closed right now, so no help there, not that they really give it anyway. So I'm asking if anyone might have experienced this one and figured it out despite Adobe. I'm on a PC with Windows 8 and terabytes and terabytes of storage; plenty of space left on disc, too. As I said; this has never been even a hint of a problem Just started up today. This even beats most Adobe "beta testing" problems they heap on us unsuspecting sheep. So I'm completely flummoxed. A prize to whoever knows what's up with this! It's a new one on me... Thanks in advance to whichever genius knows the answer! :-)

OK, I found the answer by myself and wish to share it with those having the same issue. It turns out that the saved workspace can corrupt allowing audio to play, while video remains frozen. The fix is to change the workspace. Go to WINDOW, after creating a new style workspace and save the new workspace. Problem fixed. Also, if there are already a number of other saved workspaces that involve video you can simply change to that one and it will be fixed. Delete the corrupt workspace. That's it! This was discovered through a simple process of elimination which proves that bugs really can surface anywhere for no intuitive reason. Hope this helps you!

Some videos will not play in FF 4 (and earlier versions) particularly on facebook. I have the latest version of shockwave flash. Here's what I've tried and has not worked: disabled ad blocker, turned hardware acceleration on/off, installed WMP plug-in, installed VLC multimedia plug-in, installed quick time plug-in, changed plugin-container.exe compatibility to win98/ME. Samething in Win 7. Thanks.

My iPod turns off automaticly. It is not just locking it fully shuts down. And videos will not play.

Try Hard Reset > Restore > Contact Apple for service.

ITunes videos will not play

Ever since I've updated to the newer iTunes version, my videos will not play correctly. Any video I bought on iTunes will not work. Also any video previews or trailers from iTunes will not work. Any other video from online or ones that I've recorded work normally. When I try to play a video, this is what it looks like:
The picture does not show, but the audio plays perfectly. Quicktime and every other software is updated. I've tried to find the answer on the forums but couldn't find one similar to my problem. Also, I cannot contact any apple support by phone because I'm currently living in China and this or e-mail is the most conveinent.

I have tried to open files by opening itunes or quicktime or media player. I have been able to play the videos broefly but then they typically freeze.

Uninstall Quicktime, Then reinstall it.

For some reason, I have quite a few videos that do not play in the public site while other videos play just fine. When selecting a video, the player opens but the video never starts.
Any ideas?

Some videos will not play (blank screen).

Some of my videos will not play. I select the video and a "Play" arrow shows in the upper left portion of the screen, but the screen is dark (blank). I can press Menu and return.
I don't believe it's a size issue because certain other larger videos do play. Nor do I think it's a format issue because all of the videos are the same format (*.m4v). It also doesn't appear to be a time/sync issue because some videos added after others do play and some don't.
I really don't have a problem reformatting and starting over if that is the best or only solution as I only use iTunes and don't have calendar, notes, etc.

Where are these from? Are they from the iTunes Store or where they downloaded elsewhere and then added to your library? Perhaps you can try restoring your iPod to factory settings and then resyncing the videos back over to it.
If the videos are not from iTunes, perhaps you can try and re-convert them using a third party utility such as Handbrake or MPEG Streamclip.
