Newsstand Subscription Pricing - Are you bound by pricing tiers?

Hi,
I'm new on DPS Enterprise and want to know something about pricing Newsstand subscriptions.
Are you bound to Apple's Price Tiers as you would find when charging for Single-Ed Apps or are you, as the digital publisher, able to set your own prices?
So, for example, if I wanted to offer my quarterly digital publication for, say, $8 for an annual subscription to all the issues, could I do that?

That would give users access to all folios published between the start date and end date, plus the most recently published folio. Hi,
My subscription to Flying magazine is not opening properly.
I click the current issue from the newsstand and the Flying magazine logo screen appears then the page closes and returns back to the newsstand.
I should be taken to the My Issues page but it is failing lately.

Thanks for the question. I understand you are having issues with your Newsstand subscription. If you haven't already done so, does force closing the Newsstand application help the issue?

Did you download a 30-day trial of Acrobat? What are you trying to do with that trial? Did you want to convert PDF files to Word/Excel, for example? Or some other task? The 30-day free trial is just that, and there should be no prompts to buy anything. Once the trial is over, either you subscribe at that point if you want, or just stop using the software.

Newsstand Subscription - Publisher stop the publication

Hi there,
Do you know how Apple do or subscriber can do if the publisher stop the publication in Newsstand App and the subscription is still active?
Recently I just got this problem for MacPeople which is published by Japanese publisher.
I opened cases to Apple Support but either they said No Refund due to Apple policy or no response from support...
I just got 2 of 12 issues from the subscription and this really makes me lose the trust in Apple Newsstand ... :-(

Dun tink that creative customer support sucks cos I had been dealing with them in the past and I can say that their service are quite gd and fast. If you wanted a refund, I tink you need to contact the store that sells you the product. Dun tink creative will refund you though.

Do the following. I just did it succesfully: keep your finger on the Newsstand until it start wiggling. Then tap the Newsstand to enlarge/open it. And there you see the magazines you selected, all wiggling with a black cross. For each magazine you want to remove click the little black cicle with white x.
I think marketing rules should be more strict: a magazine should be free or paid. But it must be transparent, even if the first edition is free as a tempting marketing trick, it must be clear that only the first edition is free and info must be ginven what the price for updates are.

Are you drawing text at an angle with TextRenderer?

This is a question for folks that are aware of the difference in quality of output between TextRenderer.DrawText and (Graphics.DrawString + Graphics.TextRenderingHint = Text.TextRenderingHint.AntiAlias). It is an issue that has been discussed by others,
elsewhere, without resolution, and I'm simply asking if anyone has come up with a workaround.
I want to render text in the quality of TextRenderer.DrawText, at right angles or upside down. TextFormatFlags.PreserveGraphicsTranslateTransform ignores calls to RotateTransform on the Graphics object that exposes IDeviceContext to DrawText, and DrawText doesn't
play nicely with bitmaps.
Has anyone figured out a way to draw text at the same quality provided by TextRenderer.DrawText, at an angle other than 0 degrees?
(For those who need a back story to prove to you that I cannot use a Label or Graphics.DrawString for this, here you go.

This was mainly for info, but the OP did question the difference between GDI and GDIPlus methods of drawing rotated text. Your example only provides a GDIPlus method.
GDI does not respect the Graphics objects rotations, but so long as the PreserveGraphicsTranslateTransform flag is set it will respect Translations.
Here's a simple example to highlight the issue:

Here you can see the GDI string (red text) is rendered differently to the GDI Plus string (black text) i.e. the GDI Plus text is longer. Both strings have been rendered to the correct location as set by the graphics transformation:

that the text does not always fit on the tabs if we've used GDI+. using GDI the text fits perfectly, but when we side align the tabs the text does not rotate. We can, as the OP has done, draw unrotated text to a bitmap and then rotate the bitmap and this
works well if we have a solid background. If we have a textured background however, this method is not acceptable.

I'm interested to know who is using DPS - are you a designer or developer and do you work within a business or freelance/own business?
As well as working with DPS, do you also handle app submission through iTunes Connect and other distibution services?

Interesting question -- I'd put myself in the 50/50 category, and while I'll be heavily involved in the design & development of our organization's first app (or two), after that I expect to step back and just play the role of director (matching content to audience and meddling in the design process) while the kids do the real work.
Yes, I'll definitely have to learn the submission processes as well, as that seems to be crucial to project management -- a much larger part of the workflow than for print & web sites, and will probably be in flux for next year as Adobe makes change and as we go though single edition to subscription model.
This is going to be particularly messy as, in the medium term, we expect to be publishing to not just all three platforms, but also to PDF and (in radically altered and fragmented forms) to ePub and to our web site. In the longer term, I hope the app format will be all we need, and maybe PDF for archives.

If your Muse subscription lapses can you purchase it again for editing your old website in the future?

I am thinking of signing up to Adobe Muse as I am familiar with photoshop/indesign so it would fit me perfectly. However I only have 1 website so paying for months on end for the odd tweak seems excessive. Would I be able to join on a month to month basis and then buy the month to month subscription again on any months where I might need to update my website (this would likely only happen 1 or 2 times a year). I know it probably isn't the best option for me but I wanted to check before I go down a non-adobe route for my website. Thanks in advance!

There is no subscription promotion area in default Library view in V25 or V26

In the new version, there is no subscription promotion area. But we like the subscription promotion. How can we implement that with version V25 or V26? Is it possible to put that kind of promotion info into banner (left side)? and if I click the banner left side, it will trigger subscription dialog. I have no idea how to do it. Please help me. We are migrating our Reporting Server from 2005 to 2008 and we have around 3500 timed subscriptions which are scheduled daily/weekly/monthly.
It takes around 1 week to recreate all these subscriptions in 2008 reporting server as we are using C# Code (to get the new subscriptionID from 2008 for further use). In this 1 week the subscription emails will be duplicated as they are sent from both
2005 and 2008 (created) to end user but we can't disable the SMTP for the 2008 report server as there are other projects (separated at folder level) working on it.
The Question here is, "Is there any possibility to block emails of subscriptions we are about to create in 2008 (only to our folder) and enable back the emails once we are done migrating to 2008?".

Per my understanding that you are doing the migration from SSRS 2005 to SSRS 2008 and now you are re-creating the 3500 subscriptions in the SSRS 2008, so you want to the new created subscription in SSRS 2008 will be pause and not execute at this time, right?
Generally, we have several method to pause the subscription processing, please reference to details information below:
When you created an subscription, an new Sql Server Agent job will be created too, so you can you can just uncheck the 'enabled' checkbox in the job properties as below to disable the execution of the job,you can also stop the SQL Server Agent Services

Are You All Able to get the Output In EXCEL Format

Hi All,
I have one question. Are You All Able to get the Output In EXCEL Format?? I am working on Oracle Apllication 11.5.10.2 and my XML builder is 5.0.1. Problem which i m facing is this...... Whenever i am submitting a concurrent program with format type different from PDF i could not able to view the ouput in desired format. When i am pressing view output it gives me a file in XML and when i save that file with extention 'xls' or 'rtf' then i could able to see the saved file in desired format.
Can anyone tell me where is the problem??? Is it a bug?
I am using microsoft world 2000 sp-3.
Please give your valuable comments. May be your comments can solve my problem..
