Next events in the hub display hidden calendars

Hello,
I have a problem to completly hide some calendars.
I have an Zimbra email account and add the calendars as CalDav. In this account, I have a lot of shared calendars. Some are not mine. I found the option to hide or show calendar in the Calendar app.
But on the lock screen and in the Hub, I see event of hidden calendar.
it is a bug ? how can i resolve this problem.

When using the Calendar on the BlackBerry Z10, you can choose whether to show calendar events in your main calendar. If you choose not to show the events, it doesn't hide the calendar, it only stops the events from showing in your main calendar view in the Calendar application only.

Sounds like a different problem but:
Since these threads aren't merged, I'm posting the same in several threads.
I've had the screen blank problem, the sound and copmputer were still on. I took the IMac in twice, got home, still not fixed.
But they used their own keyboard in the shop and couldn't reproduce the problem. I switched keyboards and so far so good. It's been 3 days now.
I'll keep folks updated. Don't get a new graphics card before you try a new keyboard.
Be sure to take the batteries out of your keyboard when testing another one as the board does not turn off if it is like mine.

"Misc" section in the

Edit the line as follows: 

i18n['def date order'] = 'D/M/Y';

yes, it is possible. In Calendar Express under
"Options | Settings -> Date"
"Show brief dates in the following order: Date, Month, Year".
BTW.: iCS 5.0 P4 is out since August, 2001. It's worth upgrading!

Sounds like a major stuff up on apple's behalf as this feature has been announced widely (incl their own webpage) sand is even included in the official release notes of the install file(!!)

Is it possible to create floating events on the iPad iCal?

iPad's ical recognizes floating events transferred from a desktop, but it does not allow create floating events on the iPad iCal.
The only way is to create those events in the default time zone calendar, which is very confusing,

This might work. Create a whole lot of floating events in iCal on your laptop / desktop and put them at the end of your day. You can do this quickly by creating one event in iCal that is floating and then copying it. You do that by dragging the event with your finger on the Option Key. This gives you floating events in your iCal which you are not using yet. Then when you want to use your iPad just drag one of these events from the end of the day to where you want it and use it.
It should work. I tested it just now on my iPad and laptop and it worked perfectly. I use Lion as an operating system. I don't know for Leopard. I use a weekly view. On Lion you cannot drag from the end of one week into the next. This has been corrected in Lion. I use ONLY floating events as I travel a LOT. It is the best way for me.
For creating floating events on my laptop I don't create new events, I always copy an existing event. This way all new events are automatically floating. It took a little while to get used to it. Now it is second nature to me. Since many events are the same as past events, it also saves time not typing in the event details.
For example I might schedule playing badminton at irregular times in a week. I simply create one event and then drag a copy to the new event's locaiton. It is already floating and named correctly. Otherwise I drag a different event and just rename it.
This does not work on the iPhone / iPad / iPod as you cannot copy events. That is why you need to create extra floating events on your laptop at the end of the day so that you can drag them down when you want to use them.

Thanks so much for wading in. I did exactly what you suggested - glad you gave me the hint about how to access my library files. There was only one document that seemed to have anything to do with cache, and that was called Calendar Cache. (I've attached a screen capture of all the files incase I should have deleted something else as well.) I deleted Calendar Cache then restarted iCal, but after updating I was still unable to add new events.
Is there anything else you can suggest?

If someone changes the date on an iCal event should the date change for the invitees if they accept the change?

My wife's calendar schedule is pretty hectic and prone to date changes. If I accept the initial invitation it appears correctly in my calendar and syncs correctly to all my devices but I find that if she changes a date and I accept the new change, the event stays the same in my calendar.
Is this correct or am I having problems?

Thanks - I did get the event to go back to 2008, but should the individual clips move to the correct spot in the timeline also? I need to go back and play with it a little more - I would guess you might have to look at the length of clips on either side of where you want the new clip placed for it to work correctly.
So, I guess my 2nd question is if you can get the new clips that were added at the end of the event to move into the correct position within the event.

Display month of the next event as default

Is there any way to make the event calendar display the month of the next upcoming event when the event calendar loads, and not the current month as default?

If not, post your best attempt, along with a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements, relevant columns only) for all the tables involved, and the results you want from that data. Sinmplify the problem. For example, even though you're interested in all days of the month, post a problem that only involves, say, days after the 26th of the month. We'll help you find a solution that works for all days.
In the case of a DML operation (such as INSERT) the sample data should show what the tables are like before the DML, and the results will be the contents of the changed table(s) after the DML.
Explain, using specific examples, how you get those results from that data.
Always say what version of Oracle you're using (e.g. 11.2.0.2.0). This is always important, but even more so with pivots.

STOP showing hidden calendar entries in the Hub.

Following up on this request from a year ago. This is supposed to be a device and operating system built for productivity, but is completely USELESS if I have to see every single one of my coworkers' calendar entries in my Hub, even when their calendars are hidden in my calendar app.
The early builds of 10.3 don't show any difference here. PLEASE GUYS, PLEASE FIX THIS. You're an enterprise company now. I'm a business user. You have no idea how much time I waste by having to manually check coworkers' calendars from a desktop browser because I can't link them up to my phone.

Just wanted to provide input in clarifying some of the original posters ideas:
-In addition to hidden calendar entries not being shown in the hub, I think they (and I, and I'm sure a lot of other people!) want to be able to configure in the hub which calendar entries appear there based on calendar i.e. you shouldn't have to hide a calendar in the calendar app to stop the entries from appearing in the hub. It would be great to have all calendars showing in the calendar app but only calendar entries for the ones I choose in the hub
-Further to this, there should be something like a Calendars section in Hub Management. The reason I mention this is because for services like GMail which are configured in one shot, even if I select "Show in Separate Account Only" in the hub settings for that account, it will still show calendar entries (but will not show e-mail messages)
This is kinda a pain right now as I'll just have to disable those other calendars from showing on the phone (way too many entries being passed to the hub and cluttering it up), but I hope this is fixed soon. Loving the Passport, prior phone was a Bold 9900 and just trying to help you guys out! Thanks!

How does iCal, or Calendar, order the display of multiple events for the same time?

I can't for the life of me figure out how iCal orders the display of multiple items at the same time. Does anyone have a clue? It's not alphabetical. It's not according the the order of the calendars in the left pane. Is it just random? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In the focus lost eventhandling start a thread which does

realy good, because it kind of relies on the ordering of threads ... but maybe it still works for you?

HI Jason269. Thanks for your reply, however I wrote that I already have "All events" checked. If All Events is checked and it doesn't diaplay all events, how do I fix? It seems this is a common issue, as I have read many others on here state the same problem.
I believe my problem occurred when I synced my iMac calendar to my iPad calendar using yahoo. Yesterday, I unsynced them on my iMac controls. When I checked my iPad calendar, all of my old entries reappeared - but only for five seconds and disappeared again. So, the data is saved and still there but cannot be displayed, even when I have All events checked. In fact, it only shows my individual entries for the last two months, but does show all my recurring entries. If I switched to last six months, I will see everything for the last six months. If I switch back to all events, it is only for the last two months.
As I mentioned, others on here have expressed exactly the same issue, including the two month example and having used yahoo.
For legal purposes, I need to be able to use the information from my indidual calendar entries in an upcoming court case. So I really need to fix this ASAP!

Sorry, missed that fact. My memory is good, but short.
Try moving the "Calendar Cache" file to your Desktop. Quit iCal, and find the "Calendar Cache" file in your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Calendars. Move that file to your Desktop. After that, (I remember that I recommended this before), as long as you are moving files to the Desktop, repeat the plist removal procedure once again, log out/in or restart.
You should also consider removing the "To Do's" from Mail before restarting iCal. When you open iCal turn off "Show Birthdays calendar" in iCal>Preferences...>General.
Are you syncing any data? If so, what method(s) are you using?

I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. I can only see a couple events in notification centre. I was hoping there is a way to show all the events for the day in notification centre.

I can't be the only person who has this problem - when a month ends on a Saturday I can't drag events into the next month and instead have to cut and paste - a real pain in the butt. I thought there was something called "scroll" but I can't find that

Yeah that works, but, it involves a click on the event, a click on edit, a click on the date, keystrokes, plus, since you can't see the next month you have to have a calendar in front of you so as to put it to the right date. It's easier just to cut it and advance the month and paste it, once you are in the right month you can move it around helter skelter willy nilly no problems. Although now that you mention it I will try it, maybe it is easier than cut and paste as I don't really care about the date, as long as it gets moved into the right month I can drag it around all I want.

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
