  • Is CS4 compatible with Dell Computers and GeForce Go 7400 video cards?

I have been told by this forum I needed to uninstall and re-install CS4 because Encore and the Media Encoder do not work even after the fixes and updates. I have two Dell computers with Nvidia video cards. Someone told me CS4 and Encore will not work with the GeForce Go 7400 and will not install correctly.  Is this true? Is there a site I can go to to see what cards are compatible?

  • Keep losing my secure wifi with iPhone and ipad with newest iOS update.  PC still connected

Keep losing my secure wifi on my ipad and iphone with newest iOS update. My PC is still connected to same secure wifi. Any ideas.

Contact xFinity (Comcast) to turn off dynamic channel switching if on and have it set to a fixed channel.
Usually WiFi routers will only change channels to the least busy when they are initially powered up.

Is MSI P965 Neo-F supports DirextX10 video cards?
what are the video cards supported in this board?
Thanks in advance for your reply...

"Any AGP card works in any AGP slot."
not exactly.. there is an exception with too old AGP slot which use 3.3V and too old AGP VGAs respective.
    @hackfinn
can you complete rest of your PC specification, e.g. CPU, PSU and so on.. and what VGA you are planning to get?

  • Issues with games, video card issue?

    Hi,
I have been having issues with games lately. Mostly they are hidden object games from  Big Fish, but they start up then minimize, it doesn't crash completely just minimizes, I click on it again and it works for a few seconds and minimizes itself again and again. I am unable to play the games because it keeps minimizing. could this be an issue with my video card? I have attempted updating it but it doesn't seem to help. Any ideas?

    Ok OK, Update...
the games work perfectly on my father's HP which runs windows 7...so it definatly is NOT because of not updated stuff....I really dont know what else to do at this point....no suggestions from anyone?!?!?!

Yes, you should be able to use a local SIM card from a carrier in Ontario. You should not have to do anything prior to doing so.

  • Genius needs to help! problems with my video card and system

Hey guys! I'm going to post my specs first so that you get a good idea of what I'm running on:
    MSI Neo2 LS 865PE.....MAT=Slow
    Pentium4 2.4C.....FSB=233=2.8C hyperthreading enabled ~>1.55V
Corsair TwinX 1gig PC3700.....memory on "AUTO" in BIOS with timings at 3,4,4,8 ~> 2.7V
    Radeon 9700NP.....stock speeds ~>1.7V
AlienX case with 2 fan400 watt power supply and 6 case fans
    Zalman Alum/Copper heatsink fan
1:I've had this motherboard for a few months now. I upgraded my video card from a nVidia Ti4200(128meg) to a Radeon 9800 a month ago, but I couldn't get it working at 8X AGP, no matter what voltages I threw at it. I returned it for a Radeon 9700NP hoping that it would work, but it still won't.
I'm using BIOS 1.9 and since there is no option to select your AGP speed, I could only try using ATI's drivers. Once booted into Windows, there is a slider you can move to select you AGP speed. On my machine It says that It has performed some tests and has concluded that AGP 4x is the best for my system....but my system supports AGP 8X!
I've moved the slider over to 8x (which requires a reboot) at least 5 times with each card but the slider refuses to move past 4xAGP after the reboot.
2: My second problem: I had an old stick of KingMax PC3200 and decided to buy 3 more sticks. Unfortunatly, the 3 I bought did not match the one I had, so I only put 2 of the new sticks I bought into my system. Immediatly, My system would crash, lock up, files were corrupt, and I got PLENTY of blue screens of death with a long message containing: 0x0000007  with all these other numbers and "0"s. I did a search online and found out I had a hardware incompatibility problem. I never got this with my old stick of ram.
I returned the 3 sticks of Ram and replaced them with the Corsair. Put my new Radeon 9700 in, formatted my hard drive....and within 24 hours, my system locked up 3 times, rebooted itself 5 times, and gave me the same BSOD as mentioned above with the same long message.
I didn't change anything except for the memory and the video card. I've been wanting to overclock, (thats why i bought the faster memory   ) but I'm not sure what to do at this point.
I have my FSB at 233 but I'm scared to go any higher because of previous system instability at stock speeds. My RAM was running on 400 and MAT=Turbo with the most relaxed timings at 3,4,4,8.
I've given myself hours of sleepless nights formatting when my system wouldnt boot into windows; overclocking....etc. I NEED HELP. PLEASE. PLEASE. Anything could work at this point.
I'm trying to get more info on how to run my system at a 5:4 ratio, also.
If anyone has problems like me or knows what could be the problem with my system, please reply to this post, it would help me a lot. I've been trying to fix these problems for a few months now so anything is greatly appreciated.

Thanks a lot to you guys that responded. I brought my computer home this past holiday and I want to let you know where I stand as of now. I guess this thread is like my blog for my computer. I want to clear some things before my first post makes everyone confused.
1- I have only 2 sticks of memory in my system: the Corsair PC3700 TwinX 512x2
I returned the 3 KingMax I bought, and still keep my old stick just in case.
2- I am using the 400 watt power supply that came with the case. I read some reviews of the case and I know the reviewer did not have problems with the power supply. In my BIOS, there are some voltages it is weak on. Lets say: it it should be 5.00+, my power supply will be feeding it 4.96v or something like that, but I dont know, or think, that is a major problem...
3- My computer will refuse to boot if memory speeds are set at anything below 400. SO....if I want to use a 5:4 ratio and have to set my memory speeds to "333" in BIOS, my system refuses to boot.
4- This morning, I did manage to overclock my FSB to 250. Specs are as follow:
Memory Timing @3,4,4,8,4.....speed set at "AUTO".....MAT at "SLOW"
    MY 2.4C's FSB was raised to 250 = 3.0gig
AGP/PCI frequency: 67.xx/3x.xx (cant go any lower)
    CPU voltage: 1.5500
    Memory voltage: 2.75
    Video Card voltage: 1.7
Everything was fine for the whole day until I heard something click in my computer around midnight, and then seconds later, my computer froze and made a continuous beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep. (you can imagine)
This "click" and system crash has been plaguing me for months now. I dont know whay it happens. I was just using AIM when I heard the click and my heart stopped.
My memory speeds have been set to "AUTO" even at the FSB of 250. But I don't know if this still means my system is at a 1:1 ratio. I know the BIOS then adjusts the memory to work at 500 if my FSB is 250...so I assume it is?    I love 3gig, but somehow I feel that 2.8 is faster, since the FSB=233 running parallel to my memory, also at 233
A FSB of 250 is good enough for me, that's what I've been waiting 6 months for. If anyone knows how to set other ratios to achieve a FSB of 250+, please let me know, but as I said, my memory won't boot if its set at "333"

  • [Solved] MSI GT60, Major Problem With Updating

Hi everyone, I've owned a GT60 since about January and I've had a few more minor problems so far, but now a rather annoying one.
I cannot update anything it seems, I've got numerous messages to install 8.1 for free, despite having downloaded and installed it a few times. When I download and install it no changes are made but it says the install happened and was successful. I now have this problem with a new version of Java, it asks me if the program can make changes to my computer once every session, even though I've downloaded it and clicked yes a few times.
On a side note, just today my audio stopped working. When I plug in headphones the audio comes in but all crackly. I uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them, still wont work.
    Thanks for any help

Can you be more specific with which upgrades I've installed, do you mean windows updates or every single update for anything ever installed? What do you mean by run the windows 8.1 upgrade from market? If you mean did I download from there and then hit run when the little pop up comes on screen, then I did that. If I restore the system, will i lose anything? I'll give those instructions a try then. I should also have mentioned that everything was installing properly, until the update was released and I tried to install it. It never worked and then Java was giving me problems, and I had the audio problem, so I finally decided it was time to ask for some help lol.
About the audio, I only get the crackling from my headphones, the speaker is dead silent. Its also not just pure crackling, like songs sound mostly normal and understandable but with some crackling. I found that if I turn my volume just a few clicks up from being mute, there's no crackling. Its almost as if my volume is too loud at a normal volume and its blowing the speakers.
    Thanks for the info
If you do a system restore, the system will be back to the factory settings which mean yes, you're personal data and self-install programs will be deleted.
*Make sure you backup all your personal data!
You can use F3 function to do the system restore and do the update after.
(Power on the notebook and press F3 after MSI logo shows up, and follow the instruction for the system recovery)
1.Execute MSI BurnRecovery Tool to create Windows 8 recovery discs.
    2.Back up all personal files
3.Uninstall both NVIDIA and Intel VGA driver.
    4.Uninstall touchpad driver.
5.Run Microsoft Windows Update. (Press WIN>search windows update>check for updates) *Make sure you install all important and optional updates.
    6.Restart you notebook.
7.Check again if there is any available updates in Windows Update and do restart after the installation. (Repeat the updates till you don't see any updates available.)
8.Press WIN key and choose Market.(You should see the big "Update to Windows 8.1 for free" button and click it to start the update.)
    9. System reboot after finishing the update
    10. Go to MSI website and download+install the latest drivers.(including vga drivers and touchpad driver..etc)
For the audio: Try to uninstall the audio driver and reboot the system and see if the speakers work without Realtek audio driver.

  • Msi 890fxa-g65 and two radeon 6950 video cards

    Hi,
So far I have the one radeon 6950 with the MSI msi 890fxa-g65 motherboard. I was thinking of getting another 6950 down the road and was wondering if anyone was able to fit two 6950 video cards on a msi 890fxa-g65 motherboard.
It seems a bit tight. Also I currently have an Ultra brand 750W PSU. Is that enough?
    Thanks.
    Mike

Thank for the response. The main impedance is on the motherboard connections for the front panel of the computer case. These pins are located at the bottom of the motherboard where the 6950 video card goes. The pin connections and the wire stick out quite a bit and the video card might crush them a little.
Is there some sort of adapter for those pin connections to make them go on a 90 degree instead of straight out. This is the only impedance to get that video card in really. The case is big enough even though its only a mid -tower.
    Thanks for any help.
Yes, those are you HDD, power and stand-by switch connectors I believe.  Yes, I have seen 90* adapters but I don't remember where.  It might come with the case attachments or a Mobo I put together about a year ago.  In any case, take your existing card and "gentaly" place it into that bottom slot without the pins inserted (mark or draw a little graph as to where those pins go).  See if you still have a little bit of room for your connectors.  Also, what kind of connectors are we talking here?  USB external pins are here to.  If you can live with just the MoBo USB ports, then forget the external USB connection then.  That way, simply put that card in and GO!  Try it out.

  • Is there a fix for MAC Pro with Dual video cards that randomly logs off and on?

From my readings on the Internet this seems to be a know problem.  That even furthers my frustrations with the latest OS X upgrades.  So far on both my MACBOOK PRO and my MAC PRO it has been a major downgrade as both systems are no longer stable.  Enough with my complaints...
Is there any plan to address this problem with the MAC PRO?  I can't believe 10.8.1 didn't fix it.  More can be read on it at:
    http://jvm-technology.blogspot.com/2012/08/mac-pro-users-experiencing-random-log .html
Does anyone have work around to use dual screen monitors with the system?  I have two video cards, the article says to remove one.  Has this worked for anyone?  Can I use dual screens with the one video card.  Before I go messing around with these type of things I just want to be sure that this is a real fix.  For the price of the cards and the system I really can't believe apple has this issue in the first place and has not fixed it.

Self-hosted add-ons have to be fixed for every new version of Firefox. Two to 6 months for updating an add-on is ridiculous for a program which has a new version release every '''6 weeks'''. If that extension was hosted at the official Add-ons website, Mozilla would take take care of "bumping" that extension, as long as it keeps working, for every new version of Firefox, as the new version is released.
See this thread from yesterday, I posted instructions about how to "bump" that extension for Firefox 7.<br />
    https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/884484
You can also use this extension to "bump" an already installed extension for compatibility with the currently installed version of Firefox. <br />

  • Macbook Pro with 128Mb video card and gaming

Everyone is saying that the Macbook is no good for gaming. Ok, I can see that. But how does the base model Macbook Pro do with games ? I'm in the market for a new notebook and it's either going to be a black macbook with 2Gb or a macbook pro 2.16Ghz with 128Mb video and 2Gb RAM. I can't afford a more expensive macbook pro with 256Mb of video ram since I'll already be stretching my budget with the 2.16 pro. I'm not a hardcore gamer (used to be, though) but I definitely enjoy gaming from time to time. I don't want to be able to play the lastest games at super high resolutions but I would expect a 2006/2007 computer to be able to run a two year old game like c&c generals without a hitch (which the macbook doesn't, even with the universal binary patch). Anyone have the baseline macbook pro ? How does it do with games (OS X, I'm not planning on forking out for a copy of Windows XP).

I'll second blamb327. I am playing World of Warcraft on my MBP C2D, 128MB video ram, 1.5GB ram. It runs extremely well, in full screen or windowed mode. I prefer to use windowed mode so I can see IMs coming in or email notifications. But it runs really well. It certainly heats up though, usually the high 140s, sometimes into 150. The fans run constantly at about 4000-6000rpm. It still runs cooler than it does when ripping cds or making iMovies. I may put a small desk fan on it for really long sessions, just to keep things running nice and cool.

  • USEING DUAL MONITORS ON MSI DKA790 GX PLATINUM WITH INTERGRATED VIDEO

I know that you can use VGA + dvi-d port or vga + hdmi port together. But manual shows note : dvi-d connector does not support d-sub to dvi-d converter and i haven't seen a hdmi to vga converter that is not 200 Plus Dollars. Is There An easy way to get dual monitor support on the cheap? Or is It Just Easier to add another video card?

Your going to want to just buy a video card. If you are some one who is a game you will want to go with a higher end card for instance I will use the Nvidia 8000 series. The 8200 and 8400 are lower end processors for that card while the more expenseive 8600 and 8800 are the higher end cards. Make sure they support dual out put. Make sure you have a good power supply for any of the high end cards. Some of there demands can exceed 200 watts. Most dual monitor cards will have the two DVI poets and one S-video. they will also come with adapters for HDMI and component id they support it.  I do a dual monitor display and love it. way better than the splitters. anyways hope this helps.
