Next photo not being selected

Question

When using Auto Advance in the Grid or Loupe, when finished and press Enter the next photo is not being selected. I have to select the photo by clicking on it. Any suggestion as to why?

I'm using Smart Collections in my workflow. The photod are in a Smart
Collection titled Title Missing. It checks each phot to see if there is a
title. If not it selects (highlights) the photo and waits for me to place a
title in the title box. When finished I press the "enter" key, then the
next photo is brought up (displayed) .
This is my complete workflow:

Condition Pick Flag is Reject
After I complete one step, then I move onto the next. I depend on the Auto
Advance to move the photos along and to select the next photo. The "Pick
Flag is Reject is to allow me to reject a photo during the process and
not just at the beginning of the workflow.
I'm sorry for the confusion and the long reply. I figured that the problely
was something I missed. Please take a look at the workflowand if you see a
better way to improve, please let me know and if you have any ideas on why
the next photo is not being highlighted.
