The remaining old topics will be moved whenever they appear. With the newly posted topics, to avoid confusion especially among the new users, wrongly posted topics will be tagged with [MVE] and moved later when the issue is resolved or no longer active.... appx. after one week.

and i assume you have removed some post lately as my post total dropped by about thirty or forty yesterday? (thats one thing post counts are good for to see if you mods are doing yer jobs )

It sounds like either your hard drive or the SATA cable that connects it to the motherboard are failing. This could be heat related in your case, which is why you see it after it runs awhile. You can take it to the Genius Bar for a free evaluation. If you decide to test it yourself, I usually suggest moving the hard drive to an external enclosure. If it works there for awhile, the cable is probably the issue.

Users added to a Task AFTER the BPM process has started

Does anyone know of a way to assign users to a task AFTER the BPM process has started?

Hi Craig,
whenever a Task Instance gets created, the assigned roles and groups are resolved into individual users. This means that changes to the roles and groups do not affect existing Task Instances.Then the only way to assign additional users is via "nominate" operation from the NWA or "delegate" from the Task UI. Such changes in the roles and groups will only take affect for newly created Task Instances.

I want to added a menu under 'File' menu after the plug-in has started.
Through the shell example in SDK, i am able to add menus on plug-in startup but cant figure out how to add menus after the plug-in has started.
Is it possible to do so? If yes, then how to do it?

The suites should be the same, namely AIMenu.h's AIMenuSuite. The calls are fairly self-explanatory I think, though if you have questions fire away & hopefully I can help.
The only thing that might be tricky is that it wants a reference to your plugin. Typically you'd do that in response to a selector/caller combination that included a message -- the message always has such a reference. If that's the only thing you're missing, the simple answer is to grab that from one of the early messages and stow it in a static variable somewhere so you can use it later; it won't change, so that's perfectly acceptable.

Are you using WiFi? if you are this will take a long time, switching to a wired connection will go much faster but as you have started I would not change now.

GoLive wirste wohl gar nicht zum laufen kriegen. ohnehin würde man es nicht mehr verwenden, weil es noch nicht mal CSS2 voll unterstützt geschweige denn HTML 5 und andere moderne Webstandards. Wenn überhaupt, dann findeste vielleicht noch 'ne OEM CD von Strato oder 1und1 bei eBay. Die haben das damals mit jedem neuen Hostingvertrag rausgehauen. Aber wie gesagt, es ist den Aufwand nicht wert. Illustrator sollte sich durchaus installieren lassen. Eventuell einfach nochmal die Installer im Win XP Kompatibilitätsmodus laufen lassen...

I am not sure wthr the user who started the instance will be traced you can also try and trace database log files . I am not sure of the path

When using yahoo mail on firefox, when replying to emails the first letter has started to not record/appear. not an issue with my clicking, rather firefox recording the letter/digit. this does not appear to be an issue on Safari or Chrome.

I believe that our “Werbung problem” adds an additional second hyperlink to the pop-up window. This second link is activated whenever you trigger a saved hyperlink to a Mail.com site.
I had the same problem and eliminated it by deleting all bookmarks, hyperlinks and automatic links that take firefox to a mail.com address. So I just deleted all bookmarks I had saved for mail.com. I also changed my home page link because it also went to my email at mail.com. I then did a warm boot, opened firefox and re-saved my bookmarks and homepage to the desired addresses. Good luck.

Today, the Apple TV has started to hiss with s's.

We've used Apple TV for over a year with few problems. But, today we suddenly are getting bad audio. The actor's speeches have pronounced and annoying s's like hissing. It doesn't have this sound for regular cable TV. Only on Apple TV shows.

the way it works is buy design. it's not meant for permanent storage of media... think if it as big video iPod... that's how it works. permanent storage is the iTunes Folder.
you can put your entire iTunes Folder onto the time capsule or just put some of your media there (maybe just movies) and just press and hold ctrl as you drag them into iTunes and they won't be copied into the iTunes folder... just the path to them will be added to the iTunes library.. or you can add a USB HDD to the time capsule or plug into powerbook (1TB is about $60 these days if you look) and then back up to the time capsule.
the other thing is that appleTV cannot be backed up so if you were to store things there... one HDD failure there, or error requiring a restore and boom all your stuff is gone..

My ipod has completly knackered it's self and the touch screeen has completely packed in, wont work on the computer when i plug it in also i cannot switch it off or on standby. What should i do?

IN THIS ORDER. plug in the ipod, turn the ipod off, open itunes, press the sleep button (top) for 3 seconds, continue to press the sleep button and also (at the same time) press the home button. Contunue to do this until 3 seconds after the screen flashes. Then release the sleep button and continue to press the home button until the ipod shows up in itunes. do a factory reset.

-Set the antTasks.compiled property if the flexTasks have already been compiled to avoid having a failure when calling ant main checkintests package

Somewhere in your pom.xml where you are configuring your build dependancies there will be a line <scope>caching</scope> this line is configuring the build to use a flex runtime shared library. This line is generating the error because caching is not a valid dependancy scope in maven 3 however mojos uses it anyway. There was a defect opened against flexmojos; I've linked it below. Froeder's response to the issue was that it was not fixable, that the warning is expected and that we'll have to live with it for now.
