Nexus 7K F2 modules Multicast support

I have some questions related to F2 multicast support:
Cisco multicast configuration guide says that “F2 modules do not support any form of IPv4 or IPv6 tunnels” what dose it means? Are they referring to MDF and GRE tunnels?
I know PIM-BiDir is not supported, so what is the support multicast protocols?
What is max number of (*,G) and (S,G) entries the line card can allow?
Dose both ingress and egress replication supported?
Can I enable multicast on VRF-lite on F2 module? Especially is the SVI VRF is associated to vPC
Could you please list all multicast limitations on F2 module?
Can anyone provides a configuration template for SVI VRF is associated to vPC with multicast enabled on F2 cards?

Hi,
Please refer to the below for vPC peer link on the mixed module:
vPC Peer Link and I/O Modules Support In Cisco NX-OS Release 6.2
Beginning with Cisco NX-OS Release 6.2(2), mixing I/O modules on the same side of a port channel is supported when there is an F2 Series module and an F2e Series module, or when there is an F2e Series module and an M Series Module. You can configure F2E VDCs. The VDC type for two vPC peer devices must match when the F2 Series module and the F2e Series module are used in the same VDC or system. For an F2 Series module and an F2e Series module in the same topology, the features related to the F2 Series module will only apply. After ISSU to Cisco NX-OS Release 6.2(2), F2 VDCs will automatically change to F2 F2E VDCs, regardless of the existence of an F2e Series module.
Table displays the I/O modules that are supported on both sides of a vPC peer link in Cisco NX-OS Release 6.2.

vPC Peer Link and I/O Modules Support In Cisco NX-OS Release 6.1 and Earlier Releases
In Cisco NX-OS Release 6.1 and earlier releases, only identical I/O modules on either side of a vPC peer link are supported. Using different I/O modules on either side of a vPC peer link is not supported. Mixing I/O modules on the same side of a port channel is also not supported.

  • Wireless Module Not Supported...in the manual it is?

    HP maual located here: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02770268.pdf
    Page 20 Chapter 3 it lists:
    Intel Centrino® Wireless-N 1000 (802.11b/g/n) 593530-001
    So I ordered this from the HP parts store and received it today and the laptop posts with a Wireless Module Not Supported. WLAN Module ID 702 message.
    So how do I proceed from here? Laptop came with an ralink card that only connected at 72Mbps, the atheros AR9285 constantly connects at 65Mbps unless I reset my router every time I connect.
    My laptop is a HP Pavilion g6-1a40ca
    Help please!
    Marc

    Thanks for replying
    Looks like modding the bios is the only way I'll get something better into this laptop. All I know is that the two officially supported cards I have right here are terribly slow/flaky. Going by the manual I really don't have any other choice in wireless cards. This is a great laptop for the price, just wish it didn't come crippled.
    Oh I know...lol...I'll buy a usb one and soldier it onto one of the usb ports internally. j/k
    Thanks again for clarifying for me. If anyone has anything additional to add to this thread in future about adding support official or unofficial, please post it here.
    Thanks,
    Marc

  • Wireless module not supported

    I have a DV6Z-6C00 CTO laptop notbook and I recently had to install a new wireless card but I keep getting a Wireless module not supported error. I checked with the manual and I ordered a Intel Centrino-N 1000 WLAN Module (593530-001 replacement #) and I checked on the actual card (and they match). So why am I getting this error, and how can I fix it?
    Btw I have Windows 8

    Is the wireless card an actual HP card? It is not enough that it be the same Intel chipset card.

    modules: added support for automatically adding "use namespace X", depending on the -target-player value
    * similar to how we add "use namespace AS3"
    * symmetric with ASC's -use feature, however we don't have equivalent commandline support yet
    Bugs: n/a
    QA: Nothing in particular, except for testing the new functionality of -target-player (email me about this)
    Doc: Maybe: If we doc about "use namespace AS3" being added to all Flex compiles, we may want to talk about this.

  • Menu Module v2 support for selected state?

    I can't figure out if menu module v2 supports the selected state. I remember reading somewhere that it was slated in the future, but it seems the file /ModuleTemplates/Menu/Default/container.html has accommodations for it.
    A resource if so, would be highly appreciated.

    By default I does, the JavaScript is there in the layouts and no different to the normal version in that regard.

    No, closest thing is the 24 port FXS balde for the Cat6k, or the new IAD 2430 series routers, which have 24 fxs ports as well.

    labview Touch Panel Module can support Samsung S3C2440 cpu in wince  ?

    Hi Mohammed,
    Windows CE 6.0 is not officially supported by the Touch Panel Module (see this link for more info and what is supported). Other members on our forums (link) have tried working with CE 6.0 but since it isn't officially supported and you're still in the planning stage of your application, it might be better to choose a HMI that is directly supported.

  • Clustering Without IP Multicasting Support

    Is it possible to Cluster WebLogic Server 5.1 with out using IP Multicast? The current network does not support IP Multicasting, is there a way to cluster WebLogic without using IP Multicast?ThanksSean

              You may turn on multicast protocol on switch or router for certain ports if there
              has security concern.

  • Is UDP Multicast support in LV RT 8.6?

    Is UDP Multicast supported in LabVIEW Real-Time 8.6?

    No, this is definitely not "normal", it's an unfortunate example of mis-tagging the example VIs.  VIs are tagged in a number of different ways in the example finder, the ones you mostly see are:
    1.  Written specifically for RT
    2.  Written specifically for LabVIEW (Host)
    3.  Written for LabVIEW but could still work on RT.
    The multicast examples were tagged with the "Written for LabVIEW but could still work on RT" when they should have been tagged, "Written specifically for LabVIEW (Host)."  We apologize for any confusion, we'll try to make sure this is fixed in the next release of LabVIEW.

  • WS-X6848-SFP module are supported with LMS Prime 4.1 and 4.2

    Hi,
    I would like to know if WS-X6848-SFP modules are supported with LMS Prime 4.1 and 4.2.
    Thanks for your help,
    SILVIA

    It looks like they just added the WS-X6848-TX variant with the latest C6000IOS CiscoView package update (Version 37, dated 31 July 2012 - readme)
    I'd expect the -SFP variant should be in the next update.
    You should open a TAC case to make sure that it's brought to the attention of the dev team if they aren't already working on it. One of the tenets of Cisco Prime LMS is "Day 1 support" of new devices.

  • IPv6 Multicast support for service providers 6PE / 6VPE

    Hi,
    Can anyone comment on the current state of development for IPv6 Multicast support for Service Providers who are using 6PE or 6VPE in their MPLS core.
    (6PE - SP is running MPLS in its IPv4 core, it uses IPv6-enabled provider edge (PE) routers to transport IPv6 traffic over an IPv4-only enabled core. 6PE does not support VPN,s it just provides a mechanism for tunneling IPv6 packets from ingress PE to egress PE routers)
    (6VPE - refers to a PE router capable of supporting IPv6 VPNs. A 6VPE solution can be used to provide IPv6 based layer 3 VPN services in a similar way to IPv4 based Layer 3 VPN services.)
    My understanding is that 6PE and 6VPE solution are unable to support IPv6 multicast traffic.
    Any further information on configuration, design or development work in the pipeline would be gratefully received,
    kind regards John

    Hi John,
    From our question I understand you are sking about the MVPN support for IPv6 multicast. It is actually supported on the XR platform as of now. Please refer:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/routers/xr12000/software/xr12k_r4.0/multicast/configuration/guide/mc40mcst.html#wp2890031
    I hope this helps.

  • Whether I can use cluster w\o multicast support ?

    Hi.
    I want to use cluster of two server with static IP. But i can't use multicast support on network environment.
    Is it possible ?

    Hi Alex,
    This is supported; just place the following (adjusted appropriately) into your tangosol-coherence-override.xml file (located at the root of the classpath).
    <coherence>
      <cluster-config>
        <unicast-listener>
          <well-known-addresses>
            <socket-address>
              <address>192.168.0.100</address>
              <port>8088</port>
            </socket-address>
            <socket-address>
              <address>192.168.0.101</address>
              <port>8088</port>
            </socket-address>
          </well-known-addresses>
        </unicast-listener>
      </cluster-config>
    </coherence>If you'd like to use a different (non-default) port for each JVM, use the Java command-line argument <tt>-Dtangosol.coherence.localport=[port]</tt>. You should also disable auto-adjust of the port by setting <tt>-Dtangosol.coherence.localport.adjust=false</tt>.
