NF750-G55 - BSOD from any enabled network adapter

Hello MSI community,
I am posting this from my phone as my system is BSOD if I enable my network adapter...
I've done multiple troubleshooting restarts disabling and enabling differant components and from I can discern it's the network adapter(s) causing it...
I'm using the built in NVIDIA nForce 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet device.  I've updated all system drivers (as far as I can tell) from the Nvidia site. But if this device is enabled I'd get BSOD every 5 mins or so..
I disabled the NForce adapter and tried using a Belkin N Wireless device... But I'm also getting BSOD when that is enabled (which is using a completely different driver).
Has anybody heard of this problem?  I'd be happy to upload more system info if needed, as long as my system stays stable long enough to transfer the info. >.<
Info I can provide:
BlueScreenView shows the crash as a UNEXPECTED KERNEL MODE TRAP in address ntosknl.exe+70740
this happens every 5 mins almost exactly.
Mobo: nf750-g55
CPU: AMD Phenom II x4
Memory: 4096mb Corsair DDR3 1333Mhz

The new installation that you did with the new motherboard seems to have a problem.
When you then install the motherboard drivers, try SafeMode.
Have a look in Windows' logs, under Admin..., for errors.
Please mention PSU and Windows version in the list of specs.

  • In Order to Configure TCP/IP, You Must Install and Enable a Network Adapter Card

I get this message when I try to TCP/IP settings in any network card.
"In Order to Configure TCP/IP, You Must Install and Enable a Network Adapter Card"
    What I have tried:
    1. Removed card, did not click on "Remove driver". Then re-scanned in device manager. This usually leads to the network card showing up with a yellow exclamation mark, and I can not get it work again (have to use system restore).
    2. Removed card, deinstalled driver, re-installed driver.
    3. Rebooted a thousand times.
    4. Used the Lenovo drivers.
    5. Used the Intel drivers.
Doesn't matter what I do, I'm stuck with yellow exclamation marks in the end for the LAN and WLAN card, with not hope to repair them.
Driver version for the Intel 82579LM is 12.9.15.0
Driver version for the centrino advanced-n 6205 is 15.10.4.2
I'd really like some help on how to fix this so I'm able to configure my network manually.

For clarity, as your machine MTM number lists it with another type of WLAN adapter, and apparently, therein lies your problem.

  • Enable and Disabling the Network Adapter with domain user (Standard User)

    Hi Guys.
We setup a active directory in our organization. Added client systems(Windows 7 and Windows 8) to the Domain. Domain users are accessing the system with standard users permission. I don't want to give Administrator permissions. But user should able
to Disable and Enable network Adapter without giving the administrator permissions. Please suggest .
Thanks in advance for the help :)

    Hi,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want the standard user has the permission to disable/enable network adapter.
I recommend you to implement this function by group policy:
User configuration - Administrative Templates – Network - Network connections
    Enable this policy:
Ability to enable/disable a LAN Connection
Besides, you may consider of joining users to Network Configuration Operators Group, detailed information you may reference:

  • Z87-GD65 Network adapter issues

Several times each day I encounter a BSOD relating to the network adapter/drivers (e22w8x64.sys) and from a cursory search on here it seems I'm not the only one.
Advice seems mixed and I'm yet to see anything definitive from MSI but the common solution adopted by others seems to consist of using "Killer cleaner" and then installing "Killer Suite" direct from Qualcomm's website but this just makes things worse for me at least.
I assume the purpose of killer cleaner is to remove all traces of the previous driver and I assume killer suite contains the latest and most up-to-date drivers but once I restart the system, as prompted, I have internet connectivity for about 3 seconds before it changes to "limited connectivity" and stays like that. Device manager assures me that the NIC is working correctly but it simply refuses to change from "limited connectivity" regardless of what I try.
    Any suggestions?

If only I could stop the BSOD's.
One of the perks of 'killer networking'
Kill your lag, kill your system.

  • Wanted: 3com (Etherlink XL 10/100 PCI nic) network adapter driver

    Hello.
I would like to get help for my problem.  I have an old PC (Pentium III clone)that I'm trying to revive. It does not have any onboard network adapter but has a pci 3COM etherlink XL 10/100 .  I tried getting the driver throught the internet but no luck.  And a number of sites that I went through has an external download site and when I clicked it directs me to HP.  I finally found a site that said that HP has acquired 3Com last 2010.
So my question is: does HP have a driver for my network pci adapter for Windows XP?  If yes, can you possibly direct me the download page?  thank you for any help on this request.

    Hi:
    See if this one works...
    http://h20566.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=PSG_I17919_100969#tab1
    Or this one...
    http://h20566.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=PSG_I6782_8315
You may have to manually install the drivers.
I haven't disassembled the files to see how one needs to install the drivers.  A lot of those old drivers don't automatically install and you have to install the drivers from the device driver update tab.

  • G4 Won't Boot after Tiger install and Belkin USB Network Adapter install.

I'm sure this would apply to my G5 as well.
I installed Tiger on my G4 and it restarted and opened to desktop. Great!
Next, installed software drivers from Belkin USB Network Adapter.
    Restarted computer,
Screen has firmware 'like" look asking me to type mac_boot.
I do this and the next screen is all grey with two small purple folders in the corner. I believe one was flashing!
    Nothing happens just stays there.
How can I get back to normal boot mode?

    tigerswim, welcome to Apple Discussions.
Did you already have Tiger installed or did you have Panther 10.3 installed? Tiger is not a free upgrade; you have to buy it & then update (for free) using the download updates from Apple. Also, you have to use a universal/retail install DVD (or CDs) to install Tiger. You cannot use the install DVD from another model Mac.

  • Boot Camp Network Adapter Driver

I boot camped my mac successfully but couldn't download Apple's Support software(Not big enough flash drive). I thought I was fine but it turns out I need a Network Adapter Driver. Is my only solution getting a bigger Flash drive?
Or is there a place where I can get it seperatly as that is all I need I believe.
    Thanks in advance.

I just bootcamped mine to windows 8 last night.  It ran OK apart from the missing network adapter issue which I then re-ran bootcamp assistant with only the "download the latest Windows support software from Apple" checkbox ticked and saved it to a USB.  The bootcamp files it added to the USB were in a folder that was only 512MB.  Started up bootcamp Windows. ran the setup.exe from the USB and it fixed the network adapter issue no problems.

  • VPN server does not work when a second network adapter is enabled

I have an Xserve providing DNS, filesharing, and VPN services on an office LAN. The server sits behind a gateway router and is set as a DMZ host.
VPN has been working absoluely flawlessly on the server for some time. However, I've recently discovered that this all changes when the Xserve's second ethernet adapter is enabled.
    To illustrate:
    en0: static IP 192.168.2.250
    en1: disabled
    VPN works perfectly
    en0: static IP 192.168.2.250
    en1: static IP 192.168.2.251
DNS settings unchanged, DMZ host unchanged
    VPN doesn't work
The above is even true when attempting to connect internally.
VPN is configured for L2TP, and when the second NIC is connected the VPN server logs the following (below). There are a number of other users of Lion Server users that seem to be experiencing the same log pattern, but there doesn't seem to be a definitive solution.
I was wondering if anyone has any advice on how I could solve this problem? Is it possible to bind the VPN server to a specified network adapter?
Thanks in advance for any help or ideas.
(And to preempt the question of "why do you need to use both NICs", the two interfaces are to be used for load balancing. See https://discussions.apple.com/message/17655599?ac_cid=142432)

  • Wireless adapter not showing any available networks

I've recently discovered that my Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235 wireless adapter in my Asus Zenbook UX32VD running Windows 7 64 bit is not working as it won't show any available networks while my phone can find plenty in the same area.
    So far I've:
-Re-installed the driver. Before I did this the adapter wouldn't even show when trying to change adapter settings. When I looked at the adapter in device manager I found an error code 52 which disappeared after I re-installed the driver.
-Re-installed the client for windows networks installed for the adapter which did not make a difference.
-Temporarily turned off my AVG-free anti-virus which did not make a difference.
When looking at the adapter after clicking change adapter settings in the networks and sharing center it says it's not connected, but as stated above it doesn't show any networks to connect to.
Also, when I try to use the networks diagnostics tool I get the following error message:
    Windows cannot find
    '::{26EE0668-A00A-44D7-9371-BEB06...\resultPage?keywords=+Network;NetworkDiagnostics'.
Make sure you typed the name correctly, and the try again.
Any possibly solutions I've not already tried are welcome. Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi,
Locate to Services and check all services relating to wireless and network are enabled: Wireless Zero Configuration and WLAN AutoConfig, etc.
Also, make sure your NIC is working correctly from device manager.

  • Unable to access the internet on windows xp using bootcamp. I installed the bootcamp drivers ( from snow leopard) but it still doesn't work. I have parallels 6 also installed and IT works fine. I am missing a rtl network adapter-thanksr

    Hi
I have a new 21 inch imac oct 2011 version. I installed bootcamp and windows xp on my machine and i also installed parallels 6.
Paralleles works great and i can open any program with it. But bootcamp also works EXCEPT it refuses to give me access to the internet. I installed the bootcamp drivers from my snow leopard disk, it did not make a difference. All the drivers installed but still no internet. I then installed the bootcamp drivers from the gray mac osx disk (#1) but it stopped installing with an error number ( 2753) and it said that the package was damaged.
I have tried everything; i opened each disk and trieed installing the files separately. Nothing.
What i see missing in my devices screen in XP is the network adapter.
I have a router (dlink-dr615) and it is connected by ethernet to my imac. I wonder if THIS might have anything to do with the problem. Any guidance would be much appreciated.
    Thank you

I'd recommend reposting in the Boot Camp forum, that is where the Boot Camp and Windows gurus hang out.
    Good luck.

  • Atheros AR5007EG Wireless Network Adapter - With any driver: "The device instance name is invalid"

    Hello there,
I was trying to install various "Atheros AR5007EG Wireless Network Adapter" drivers, with versions ranging from 2007 to 2010, both from the manufacturer and specifically for this computer (a Fujitsu Siemens Esprimo Mobile) and others from here:
    http://www.atheros.cz/atheros-wireless-download.php?chipset=22&system=3
All of them are for Windows Vista 32bit.
The computer had previous drivers installed and working, but also had a network problem. In the process of figuring out what was causing it, I tried to install newer drivers to see if that was the problem. It turns out the network problem was due to a different
thing that is now fixed (some dependencies of the WLAN Configuration service were turned off), but I'm still stuck installing the new drivers.
    TL;DR:
However, every time I install new drivers, after install, Windows says that
"The device instance name is invalid", regardless of what drivers I install. I even tried to install drivers for different hardware in that slot just to see what it told me and IT STILL gave me the same error. I also tried to uninstall the
current driver, checking the box to delete the driver's software, running CCleaner and then deleting
"athr.sys" from the Windows/Drivers folder and
"oem8.inf" from Windows/Inf as those files were referenced in the driver's properties. The install still gives me the same error.
The fact that it gives me this error with any driver leads me to believe it's Windows' fault and not the driver's.
Note: I am translating from the original in Portuguese. "The device instance name is invalid" is the closest/correct translation and seems about right with the info I find online regarding the english version of Vista and how it refers to devices.
This (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/microsoft.public.development.device.drivers/yFa_XnlcLJQ) and this (http://finderr.net/windows/pt-PT/O-nome-da-inst%C3%A2ncia-do-dispositivo-%C3%A9-inv%C3%A1lido-/2082573452) also seems to confirm that, though it
doesn't help me. It may be that the text is actually different in english Vista but I also searched for driver instead of device or stuff like "The device instance name appears to be invalid" and can't find anything either.
I also did SFC /SCANNOW a while ago and it found no errors.  I then repeated it again after this problem and this time, SFC found errors BUT it couldn't repair all of them. Here is the CBS log:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/bayum2rsezxpmre/CBS.log
    Thank you for the help!
EDIT: The Notebook model is a Fujitsu-Siemens ESPRIMO Mobile V5535 and their support drivers can be found here (after specifying the OS and model):
    http://support.ts.fujitsu.com/download/ShowFiles.asp
    EDIT2:
The last SFC /scannow scan repaired everything left to repair. The system restore option can't be used because the earliest one still has the (suposedly faulty) drivers installed.
This computer has a Win Vista serial number, but no CD and the second partition doesn't have any kind of backup. The second partition is empty though. So, as a last resort, if I really don't have a choice, I'll try to do an upgrade install to see if that fixes
it and if that still doesn't fix it I'll have to move everything in the users folder to the second partition and format the first which is a bummer :/
EDIT: Here is the setup.api.log that was inside C:\Windows\Inf and details the instalation process of all the drivers:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/tyxs1e4r7rxofch/setupapi.dev.log
I'm still trying to read into that setup.api.log file.

So, can I assume that the only way to fix this error is to download an iso of Windows Vista, unninstall my service packs, upgrade install Vista, run Vistalizator to change the language to Portuguese and then install Service Pack 1 & 2?
EDIT: Alright, so I formatted the thing since the driver bug wouldn't give me a break. The details on that can be found searching for the same thread title either on tomshardware or vistaforums if anyone happens to find this looking for the same error.
I have a real knack for bumping heads with errors that nobody else gets that somehow turn into unfixable bugs. At least if someone else searches for this problem they'll know what to do.

    Hi there,
As an update, AtomicDate ([atomicdate.sourceforge.net|http://atomicdate.sourceforge.net] ) is a clean and flexible Java implementation of the NTP/SNTP protocol. It's main features are integration with the Spring Framework and a network time enabled version of java.util.Date. Cheers!
