NFS Resharing, and secondary groups

Hi there.
This might get a bit wacky, so bear with me...
Anyway, I'm trying to reshare an NFS export from an AIX cluster in order to do away with a Helios EtherShare install that is causing much grief with our designers. I have the re-share set up, and you can see the shares there, but I can't see any files or folders inside them unless I change my primary group ID from 20 (Staff) to one of the GIDs in use on the AIX system.
I have created groups in Open Directory with GIDs that match what is in use on AIX for those share points, and assigned them to my test user, but it doesn't seem to be working as it should.
Am I going to have to have the AIX admin repermission a couple million files, or is there a way to make his group IDs work through the re-share?

The oinstall group adds an extra layer of security and allows the separation of the installation groups from the DBA. This is useful if there are separate groups that maintain the software and the database. You could use DBA for both if you do not have such a requirement.

TRM - Post both to group ledger and secondary local ledger

Dear All,
While executing TBB1, in order to post the commercial paper paper to accounting , I noticed that it is going to only one ledger.
The group ledger, does any one know how to post both to secondary local ledger and group ledger please.

can you clarify what you are expecting by way of Group Ledger and secondary local ledger with an example.
TBB1 will be supported for posting at two level @ Customer Level and GL Level. This can be performed for multiple valuation area if required.

Secondary group authentication

We have an Open Directory server populated with a couple hundred users and a few dozen groups. Users have primary groups assigned as well as secondary groups. Using WGM's Inspector, I can see the primary group ID number but do not see any of the secondary group IDs.
We are using the Authen::Simple::LDAP perl module to authenticate users against open directory as they browse protected web pages. This module's filter command allows us to specify uid or gid numbers. The authentication works when we specify the users' primary group but I don't see any part of the user's record listing the secondary groups.
Is it necessary to specify a new directory attribute, something like "secondary group membership" that would list multiple group IDs? Since use of secondary groups works fine for AFP shares, I don't understand why this would be necessary. If it is necessary, what documentation do you suggest to understand the newly assigned Attributes and Values?

WebAnalyticsServiceApplication_ReportingDB log file and secondary DB files issue

Hello everyone,
So we have a problem, a customer has a SP2010 farm, SP on one server and SQL 2008r2 on another. Little (read none by the looks of things) maintenance has been applied to the server (both SQL and SP other than patching and windows backups) over nearly a year
and we are here now to upgrade to SQL 2012, found the current state and the situation is as follows (up-to now):
The SP install was done from the search server binaries to give better search options (thought this may be prudent to disclose)
The WebAnalyticsServiceApplication_ReportingDB log file is HUGE and will not truncate, Ive done the following:
backed up (full) the DB for web analytics
backed up log files for same DB (with truncate selected) (both through gui in SQL MS)
Tried to shrink log file (this told me through the gui that 99% was free in the log file, but it freed up only 1%, even after trying again and selecting 'reorganise pages before releasing unused space' and selecting 0MB for the 'shrink to' size)
Also, there are over 30 secondary DB files for this database, Ive seen other threads about these files but am stuck as how to do the following...
no one uses the web analytics
the data is not needed
I understand it maybe needed in the future
we do not need the data
how should I get rid and stop future log file and secondary DB file growth?
Anyone's help would be greatly appreciated.

For reference, you can control how long SP keeps the Web analytics data (which does generate one extra .ndf per week).
To set the limit on the data retention period:
On the Central Administration Web site, in the Application Management section, click
Manage service applications.
Click the Web Analytics Service Application row to select it and in the
Operations group of the ribbon click Properties.
In the dialog box, in the Data Retention Period section, set the data retention period, which can range from 1 month to 25 months.

Can we reconcile secondary group name from unix server using some own Customise code?

Using JNDI this should not be very hard.
Are you planning to store the secondary groups as a child table to a unix RO?
Int hat case It might actually be easier and quicker to sidestep the recon system entirely and interact directly with the child form.

A difference is made between Primary & Secondary indexes to a table. the primary index consists of the key fields of the table and a pointer to the non-keys-fields of the table. The Primary index is generated automatically when a table is created and is created in the datebase as the same times as the table. It is also possible to define further indexes to a table in the ABAP/4 dictionary, which are then referred to as Secondary indexes.
Always it is not mandatory that an index should have all the key fields of a table. To see the index of a table
goto SE11->specify table name->click on the indexes... button on the application toolbar.
Based on your requirement you can you any of those index fields in the where clause of your query. Always its a better practice to use the index fields in the order specified. While selecting the records from a table it is always better to select the fields in the same order as specified in the table.

Need help with sorting records in primary and secondary databases

I would like to store data into primary and secondary db in different order. For the main primary, I want it to be ordered by login_ts instead of uuid which is the key.
For the user secondary database, I want it to be ordered by sip_user. For the timestampe secondary db, I want it to be ordered by login_ts.

The DB->set_bt_compare() is used to compare keys in Btree database. In the callback function, both the DBTs are key, but not data. Please refer to http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/berkeley-db/db/api_reference/C/dbset_bt_compare.html.
If you want any field in the data to be sorted, you might create a secondary index on it and define the compare function as you wish.

Using Open DNS etc with a Verizon and secondary router

I have a Airport Extreme Base Station setup in Bridge Mode to the Verizon router. How do I add or replace the DNS server to Open DNS etc?

You need to set your desired DNS servers in the Actiontec since that is your DHCP server. When the AEBS is in bridge mode, its DHCP server is disabled.
Login to the Actiontec
Click on the My Network icon
Select Network Connections from the left menu
Select Broadband coax or Broadband ethernet as appropriate.
Click on Settings
Across from DNS Server, select "Use the following DNS Server addresses" from the pulldown.
Enter the primary and secondary DNS Server addresses for OpenDNS.
Click Apply.

Excise modvat accounts not defined for DLFC transaction and excise group

Dear Experts,
Iam raising this question after checking all the contents related to Sub Transaction type in SDN.
My prob is: for raw material sales scenario i have created order delivery and invoice. For Invoice i have done account determination with a different G/L in VKOA. Now i have to create an excise invoice and the accounting entry for central ED on sales should go to different G/L account. for account determination i have done the following settings:
Maintained Sub transaction type in
IMG -> Logistics - General -> Tax on Goods movement -> India -> Basic Settings
->Maintain Sub Transaction types
IMG -> Logistics - General -> Tax on Goods movement -> India ->
Account determination -> Specify Excise Accounts per Excise Transaction.
Here against DLFC sub transaction Type is maintained..
Also
IMG -> Logistics - General -> Tax on Goods movement -> India -> Account determination -> Specify G/L Accounts per Excise Transaction
Here maintained Excise group with DLFC Company Code subtransaction type, chart of accounts and all required GL Account .
But when the iam creating Excise Invoice in J1IIN and clicking on Subtransaction type-F4, no entries are shown. No values found is the message in green. Message no. DH801
If i use subtransaction type and enter billing document and enter, the following error message comes:
"Excise modvat accounts not defined for DLFC transaction and excise group"
Iam unable to understand why the subtransaction type maintained is not showing in TCODE J1IIN?
