Ni 488.2 cannot find gendrad digibridge.. incorrect protocol?

ni 488.2 times out during bus search for old genrad digibridge 1687b..
protocol incompatible, or hardware problem?

Hello,
To determine if your device is comatible with 488.2, you will need consult your instrument's documentation.
The correct way to find an instrument is to right-click on your GPIB card in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX) and select Scan for Instruments. If you are still timing out from here, make sure the instrument is turned on. You might also try using a different instrument to determine if the problem is with your GPIB Card.
Let me know if this does not work.

    I just upgraded my iPad from 4.3.3 to the newest - I think 6.1.3.  I cannot find my photos and videos.  I tried a restore, but after 3 hours, it's timing out.  Pardon my ignorance on asking this question; but is there a way to find my photos?  I do nto care about anythign else.
    Here are the steps I though I took this morning:
    Backup iPad
    Connect to iTunes and downlaod newest version of iTunes and then newest iOS
    restart Vista Laptop
    upgrade to newest iOS
    I knew somethign was wrong when it took about 6 hours to upgrade the iPad
    at the end it errored with this message error (-50), but the upgrade worked
    I was expecting to see all my photos but didn't see them
    I have tried a restore to a back up 2 times.  The first time took 3 hours and just sort of timed out - it kept saying that there was an hour to go
    I tried it again 2 hours ago and same message.
    They are very valuable to me and so now I am panicking
    Your help is much appreciated

    Hi Eric Ferguson,
    Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
    For troubleshooting on this, take a look at this article:
    iTunes: Specific update-and-restore error messages and advanced troubleshooting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3694
    Error 13, 14, 35 and 50 (or -50)
    These errors are typically resolved by performing one or more of the steps listed below:
    Perform USB isolation troubleshooting, including trying a different USB port directly on the computer. See the advanced steps below for USB troubleshooting.
    Put a USB 2.0 hub between the device and the computer.
    Try a different USB 30-pin dock-connector cable.
    Eliminate third-party security software conflicts.
    There may be third-party software installed that modifies your default packet size in Windows by inserting one or more TcpWindowSize entries into your registry. Your default packet size being set incorrectly can cause this error. Contact the manufacturer of the software that installed the packet-size modification for assistance. Or, follow this article by Microsoft: How to reset Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) to reset the packet size back to the default for Windows.
    Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, bypassing any routers, hubs, or switches. You may need to restart your computer and modem to get online.
    Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.
    Best of luck,
    Mario

    Thank you Garland_M for replying.
    I have since removed the Printer Server, and found that I can simply put the USB Cable from the Printer to Computer 1, and Computer 2 will see it on the Network..... so I didn't even need that Printer Server in my setup as I had been informed.

    In accordance with this solved topic for a similar issue, I have ensured that options=('staticlibs') is present in PKGBUILD:

    I have tried re downloading and compiling all the src but the same issue occurs.

    rkaufmann87,
    The printer that I have does not have network capabilities built in.... to have the network capabilities, HP says an additional piece of equipment must be used.... in my case, an HP JetDirect 175x Print Server... I found a used one on eBay that was inexpensive, so I purchased that, and have been trying to configure it to my computer and printer for about 5 hours now.... all I got were error pages.
    I have an older iMac (2008), and I wanted the ability of the use of one printer for the new and old computers.
    After I read your advice, I disconnected the HP JetDirect 175x Print Server entirely, and used just a USB cable from the printer to the computer.
    The printer worked great from my new computer, but I still wanted the ability of using the printer with the older computer (Wi-Fi). I went into the Print & Scan of System Preferences, and for the heck of it, I clicked the "Printer Sharing" box.
    I went to the old computer, and for the heck of it, I tried printing something.... LO & BEHOLD it worked.
    I don't know how it works, because as I said before, the printer is not network-ready.  When I bought the printer several years ago, there were two printers of that model on the shelf.  One was a HP 2015, and the other was a HP 2015n.... (n meaning network).  At the time I didn't think that I would ever need a network printer, which was more expensive, so I purchased the non-network one.
    Now I am truly bewildered as to how I am able to print from both computers without the HP JetDirect 175x Print Server.
    Do you, or anyone else have the answer to that????

  • DNG SDK build project cannot find the xml sdk

    On win7/x64.  Installed dng sdk and all dependencies per the readme files.  xml sdk built OK with vc10 express, as 64 bit static and dll.
    But the vc solution for dng_validate has incorrect names for the xml sdk build projects, so it cannot find those components.  Specifically it looks for "..\..\..\xmp_sdk\build\vc\XMPCore.vcxproj".  the actual paths in the xmp sdk are different and longer, like "..\..\..\xmp_sdk\build\vc10\dynamic\windows_x64".  Moreover there is no XMPCore.vcxproj there.
    I suppose the real problem may be that the dng sdk project is trying to build it as .net managed code, while the xml sdk was built as open code.  So I guess what I am looking for is a way to build the dng sdk open.

    I would confirm your post, but I have not found a solution. I wish someone at Adobe would look into this.

    Hi Spike,
    There could be a number of reasons why the PositionEmpHierarchy table has not been created. My advice is to run an extract and then run each line of your join statements in your DB. This will highlight where the problem lies.
    Good luck!

  • After scanning a picture, I cannot find it on my iMac.

    After scanning a picture i cannot find it on my iMac. the scanner says it was sent and to check my computer screen.

    Thanks, Tom.  As you can see, I was spelling it incorrectly!  Sorry for wasting everyone's time.
    Actually, I am interested in getting better with some command line work, although I have to admit I'm tremendously rusty.  My last work with Unix was > 10 years ago.
    Appreciate the reply.
    By the way, I'll also consider Carbon Copy Cloner.  Looks like a great program for point-and-click folks like me.

    Sagar

    Hi Sagar,
    Could you please check under data connection your connection string?
    It should be the SAP connection string.
    The format of the connection string:
    ASHOST=SAPONE SYSNR=02 USER=USERNAME PASSWD=welcome1 CLIENT=800
    SAPONE = SAP host name
    02 = system number
    USERNAME = username
    welcome1 = password
    800 = client number
    Also, maybe this is a permission issue, please double check that
    the user that you are accessing SAP with has the correct permissions.
    Give them SAP_ALL if nexessary to investigate.
    Hope this helps,
    kind Regards,
    Matthew

  • Cannot find the XObject named Fm0003.

    I am built a three page AOD report. When I run Test Presentment, the first two pages of the pdf display correctly on the screen, as I page down. When I page down to the third page I get the above message --"Cannot find the XObject named Fm0003". I click OK, and then get the following message --"Could not find font in resource library, using Helvetica instead". The font that I'm using throughout the report is a Times New Roman. The first two pages are in Times New Roman and the third page is in a different font. I welcome anyone who can educate me to what is happening in AOD. Thanks.
    Questions:
    * How do I find the XObject named Fm0003?
    * How do I determine what font is missing from the resource library?

    Found this post when troubleshooting the error message "Could not find Xobject named '3'". If anyone else runs into the same issue when creating a PDF by importing from a scanner, my issue was a bad cmos battery that set the incorrect date. I changed the date and time to current and was importing PDFs again.

  • JAVA_HOME: The system cannot find the path specified.

    Dear All,
    I installed Github  recently and in hadoop command line I get following error
    I ran into this problem couple of days ago and still not finding the way to resolve it.
    Whenever I open the Hadoop command line, I get JAVA_HOME not set error as shown below
    The system cannot find the path specified.
    Error: JAVA_HOME is incorrectly set.
           Please update c:\Hadoop\hadoop-1.1.0-SNAPSHOT\conf\hadoop-env.cmd
    Usage: hadoop [--config confdir] COMMAND
    Few options I tried
    1.Changed the Java_Home path to  C:\Hadoop\java\bin in my system
    Also changed in C:\Hadoop\hadoop-1.1.0-SNAPSHOT\conf\hadoop-env.sh as export JAVA_HOME="C:\Hadoop\java\bin"
    But this did not solve the problem
    2.I had local installation of Java.So I thought it could be the problem. I also tried pointing JAVA_HOME in both my system environment variables and in script as
     export JAVA_HOME="C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_40"
    But again this problem has not solved
    Am I missing out something here?
    Did anyone face similar problem? If yes what is the solution.
    Also note: entering java or javac in hadoop command line lists all the commands but none of the hadoop commands work

    Hi,
    Am facing the same error JAV_HOME not set properly. you said that i removed Emulator and reinstalled all over again,
    What is Emulator where it exists and how to remove please let me know how to resolve above error
    Thanks,

    Any ideas?
    BTW, this is using XE on WinXP. (I'd post in the XP forum but it seems to have disappeared).
    Thanks,

    OK, problem #1 solved:
    By default, XE on Windows sets up the scheduler service to disabled. Enable and start it, then we can move on to problem #2:
    ORA-27369: job of type EXECUTABLE failed with exit code: Incorrect function.
    See http://www.adp-gmbh.ch/blog/2005/may/27.html for a workaround using a .bat file which sadly doesn't help me. How do I pass runtime switches and parameters?
    DBMS_SCHEDULER is wonderfully powerful, but NOWHERE in the copious documentation can I find help on how to do something really SIMPLE.
    I just want to run an unscheduled, ad hoc executable job which runs an OS command with parameters, as in:
    'c:\mydir\convert.exe c:\mydir\test.jpg -thumbnail 155 c:\mydir\test.png'
    Can the job_action parameter include command-line switches and parameters or not?
    In the documentation for CREATE_JOB, 'For an executable, the action is the name of the external executable, including the full path name and any command-line arguments.', but this doesn't work for me.
    Elsewhere (Error running executable job I read:
    If the job_type is executable then the scheduler expects only the executable name and path as job_action (no command line arguments) e.g. ("c:\win32\cmd.exe")
    For commandline arguments you should be setting number_of_arguments to the required value and then doing set_job_argument_value for each argument. (e.g. 3, "/q", "/c", "script.bat").
    What's the real story?
    Any and all assistance much appreciated
    Thanks

  • "cannot find symbol" errormessage

    Hello
    I want to keep my ArrayList information private so I declared:
    private ArrayList<Integer> locationAddress;I created the ArrayList object in the constructor     public SimpleDotCom()
               locationAddress = new ArrayList<Integer>();
          }I was using a remove() method available with the ArrayList class.
    I decided to encapsulate the remove() method in
      public void removeLocationIndex(int index)
            locationAddress.remove(index);
          }but when I try to call the method by saying:   locationAddress.removeLocationIndex(index); I get an error message that says:
    cannot find symbol; symbol : method removeLocationIndex(int), location: class java.util.ArrayList<java.lang.Integer> at line 47
    Below is the class.
    Thank you for your assistance  public class SimpleDotCom
           private ArrayList<Integer> locationAddress;
         public SimpleDotCom()
               locationAddress = new ArrayList<Integer>();
          public void storeLocationAddress(int location)
            locationAddress.add(location);
          public void removeLocationIndex(int index)
            locationAddress.remove(index);
          static final int  INCORRECTGUESS = 2;
          static final int GOODGUESS = 1 ;
          static final int WIN = 0 ;
         public int checkIfGuessIsCorrect(int userGuess)
            int result = INCORRECTGUESS;
          /* find out if the user guess is in the ArrayList
          by asking for it's index. If it's not in the list,
          then indexOf() returns a -1 */
          int index = locationAddress.indexOf(userGuess);
          if (index == -1)
              result = INCORRECTGUESS;
              System.out.print(" The result is a " + result + "... an Incorrect Guess !");
          if(index >= 0)
            /* if the index is zero or greater, it's in the list
            so remove it */
            locationAddress.removeLocationIndex(index);
            /* if the list isEmpty() then
               that was the "WINning" ing guess ! */
            if(locationAddress.isEmpty())
              result = WIN;
              System.out.print("  you WIN ! ");
            else
              result = GOODGUESS;    // 1 indicates a "hit"
              System.out.print("  The result is a  " + result + " a GOOD GUESS");
          } // end outer if
          return result;
        }//end method
      } // end class

    locationAddress is of type ArrayList. ArrayList doesn't have a method called removeLocationIndex(). You can call that method on an object of type SimpleDotCom.
    In a member method (such as checkIfGuessIsCorrect()) you can call this.removeLocationIndex() or simply removeLocationIndex() - the "this." is implicit. Which you prefer is up to you - some people see an explicit "this." as improving readability in some cases, some feel the extra typing is a sign of a newbie.
