NI-488.2 software for MacOS 9.1

I have MacOS 9.1, LabVIEW 5.1, and PCMCIA-GPIB card.
Also I have NI-488.2 Software for MacOS, Version 7.6.5
problem is that this software cannot be instoled on MacOS higher than )9.0x.
Where can i get NI-488.8 software for MacOS 9.1?

All the available drivers for GPIB hardware and MacOS are located at: http://www.ni.com/support/gpib/versions.htm#mac
The lastest version for tha PCMCIA-GPIB card is 7.6.6. There is, however, a note that states that the drivers are not for MacOS 9.1.

NI 488.2 software failing Troubleshooting Utility

I am unable to control my instruments using my known good software and a known good GPIB-USB-HS controller. I am using Teststand to call VB6 and VB.NET code which is working on other PCs. I am running Windows 7 and using NI 488.2 version 2.8.
NI MAX identifies the controller and my instruments. I am able to communicate with my instruments through NI MAX. However, the Troubleshooting Utility shows that the software is failing.
The "Help" button provides the following:
Unknown NI-488.2 Software Error
An unknown NI-488.2 software problem has occurred. Try the following to resolve the problem before calling National Instruments:
Restart your system.
Run the NI-488.2 Troubleshooting Utility again.
If you still have the problem, try the following:
Repair the NI-488.2 for Windows software.
Restart your system.
Run the NI-488.2 Troubleshooting Utility again.
Obviously, these steps did not solve the problem.
My software is unable to get a handle to the controller and my function calls do not populate anything in NI-SPY.
I tried installing the latest 488.2 version (3.1.1) which did not help. I tried uninstalling all NI software and then re-installing only the 488.2 software. That did not help either.
Any thoughts?

I found the solution to this problem.
We are using an ICS Electronics modbus to GPIB converter to talk to a Watlow F4 thermal chamber controller. The ICS module comes with a utility and drivers. We don't need that software but our technician installed it anyway. Part of that install includes a file called "gpib-32.dll". The NI software also uses a file called "gpib-32.dll". Our NI software was failing because it was accessing this library and finding something completely unexpected. I replaced the .dll with one from a working install and that corrected the problem.
Interesting that neither the "Repair" nor "Uninstall/Re-Install" could correct this problem.
By the way, gpib-32.dll is not in C:\Windows\System32 on my Windows7 installs. It is in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\.

Free anti virus software for nokia 5530

Does anyone know where you can download free anti virus software for the 5530? i've tried a few sites (even trend micro) but none of the software i've downloaded is compatible with my phone

The security model of SymbianOS 9.2 and above simply does not allow software to install without the user specifically allowing it and without the software in question being signed with a valid certificate. A phone running S60v3 and above simply cannot be infected with a virus.

The phone therefore needs no protection against viruses.
It may, however, need protection against the user! If you accept and install anything sent to you via bluetooth, MMS or e-mail, or if you make a habit of installing cracked warez from dubious sources, them your phone almost certainly will become infected with some form or other of malware, although it will not be a virus. It might be a worm or a trojan. In any event, it's up to the user to behave responsibly.
Another risk is that the phone may carry Windows or MacOS malware that was copied to it when it was connected in mass storage mode to a computer that was already infected. While such malware will be absolutely harmless to the phone (because the phone runs a completely different operating system on which the malware simply won't run), it could certainly be harmful for the next copmputer to which you connect the phone. The solution here is to scan the phone's mass storage with normal antivirus software on your computer.

Oracle SOA Suite 10g Release 3 (10.1.3.1.0) currently only supports Windows and Linux, Is there any future plan to include support for MacOS 10.x.

Hi all,
Just got the OfficeJet Pro 8100 without realizing its features were crippled by me having the latest MacOS.
I can work around not being able to use this machine as a wireless printer for now, but if there isn't an update coming in a reasonable time, I should probably just return this thing and look for something else. It's been almost seven months since Mavericks came out, after all. I doubt there are many Mac users still using Snow Leopard.
Anyone have any idea?

I can't exactly answer your question about the ETA for software for the 8100 that is compatible with Mac 10.9, but I might have a possible solution to get your wireless working.
You can use the WPS (WiFi Protected Setup) option as described on page 125 of the user manual.
If this is not an option for you, you could also try resetting the network defaults so that the printer will broadcast its own network, put your Mac on the printers network, access the EWS (Embedded Web Server), then run the wireless setup wizard from there. To try this approach, please complete the steps below;
To reset the administrator password and network settings, press and hold Wireless button and Cancel button for three seconds.(If the wireless light is no longer lit, press the Wireless button again to turn on the wireless radio. The light should be blinking to tell you it is on but not configured.)
Put your Mac on the network you see that is some variation of the printer name, it might take a couple of minutes for the network to be seen.
On the printer control panel, press and hold the Resume button, and then press the Wireless button to print the Network Configuration page.
Get the printers IP address from the Network Configuration page.
Open an Internet browser on your computer (remember you are not on your own network; therefore, you will not have Internet) enter the IP address from step 4.
Go to the network tab along the top of the EWS.
Click on Wireless Setup Wizard along the left hand side to begin configuring the printer.
You have now completed the Wireless configuration, follow the next 3 steps to start printing.
The blue wireless light will go solid, put the Mac back on your own network.
Add the printer to the System Preferences.
Print

DVR Software for Video Streaming

Subject: DVR Software for Video Streaming
I can purchase 4 video cameras. I can purchase a DVR.
However, I do not know who makes any software to take 4 video streams into the DVR and either
(1) write them on a DVD which can be viewed on my G5, or
(2) provide a LAN interface from my G5 to the DVR to download the files over the LAN to my hard drive and view (and potentially edit) them on my Apple G5 and monitor system.
The PC world requires a PC software with ActiveX which of course is not available on Macs.
If my need can't be fullfilled, then is there any reliable way of getting ActiveX operational on a MacOS 10.4 G5 system?
Will this become easier when Apple fully migrates to Intel chips. Can any of the Intel chip Mac systems sold by Apple today using MacOS 4.X be used with ActiveX (or equivalent)?
Now, aren't these interesting questions. Will Apple move into 2006 with a bang and provide a wireless DVR????

Windows vista, Ipod shuffle 4th gen. Computer cannot find device driver software for ipod.

After several hours trying the troubleshooting options provided by the apple support site, I have come to what I think is the issue here. My girlfriend recently got an ipod shuffle and when plugging it into her computer the dialog pops up saying it is installing device driver software for the ipod. Eventually it asks me to insert the CD that came with the ipod. No CD came with the ipod, so I click the option that says "I do not have my cd". Then it gives me the option of searching automatically or manually for the driver software. The automatic way can't find it. Doing it manually, with the help of the troubleshooting page, didn't work either. google search can't seem to help me on this one. Also, I tried plugging the ipod into my computer (not hers) and it worked fine, it was able to install the device driver software on its own. Does anybody know the issue here? My computer has windows 7, and hers has vista. Hers is Serice Pack 1. When I tried installing service pack 2 it wouldnt work. I don't know if that is the issue though. I have tried just about everything, I think the issue is finding the device driver software. When I do a google search nothing comes up, so I have no idea what to do at this point. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Well its surprising to know that! But even have an ipod shuffle 3rd gen n dint face any problem like that. FYI no cd comes with the ipod jus take ur ipod to an apple exoert n he will solve ur problem .

Software for HP Color LaserJet CM1312nfi MFP is not currently available from the Software Update server.

I recently upgraded to Mountain Lion, and found that I could no longer print to my HP CM1312nfi.
This is usually a problem with HP at every upgrade, but this time, they appear to have offloaded the driver download process to Apple.
My printer is connected wirelessly through a time capsule by IP address—the physical, not the virtual, e.g: 169.254.xx.xx instead of 10.0.1.x.
When I try to download the driver by bonjour or IP, I get the following error message:
Can't install the software for the Hewlett-Packard HP Color LaserJet CM1312nfi MFP because it is not currently available from the Software Update server.
Is this truly a Software Update server error, and if so, any clue when it will be resolved?
I am able to print with the generic driver as of now, but fax and scan capabilites are gone. The add fax dialog lists no devices.
Scanning is not supported on my printer model with the Hewlett Packard Print 2.12 driver. Will support be forthcoming, or did Mountain Lion brick my scanner?

Problem with Adobe Creative Cloud software for PC

I have a problem witg Adobe Creative Cloud software for PC
I have Windows 8.0 x64. I downloaded few apps using the Creative Cloud software and had to restart my computer due to the pending windows updates. After I restarted my computer, the software didn't work proprely. When i launch it, the cloud icon is gray and when i click on it i can only see the title and nothing else (white space) Each time i close it, Windows says that application caused an error and it need to be shutted down. I tried reinstalling the Creative Cloud software multiple times and it didn't help. Is there any other way to install the software without using the app ?

I can print - the drivers downloaded automatically when I plugged the printer in - but I need the HP Solution Centre Software - I do a lot of scanning and need it for that.
I have still been unable to install the software. It took over a day to download/save the installation file (AIO_CDB_NonNet_Full_Win_WW_140_408), which is supposed to be 412 MB. Only 358 MB downloaded. When I run it, it says file corrupt. I am running windows 8 on a brand new, top of the range Dell How can I get this software to download? Thanks!

Disabling the computer's antivirus and firewall during the download and update usually resolves the timeout error.
