NI-6561: Continous and Synchronos Generation and Acquisition ?

Hi,
I could need some help: I like to use a PCI-6561 HighSpeed Digital IO Card for continous and synchronos data generation and acquisition, but I did not found any example.
The only examples from the example finder are "Continuous Generation - Stream From Memory.vi" and "Continuous Acquisition - Stream to Memory.vi", but I need an example that is a kind of mergence of both examples.
My application requirements are:
- streaming a 8bit wide pattern continously (onboard clock)
- acquire a 8bit wide pattern continously (synchronous to generation -> same clock)

Hi Blur,
Some bad news I'm afraid. The 6008 does not support buffered output. There is no hardware clock on this device and so the only way that you can actually output values from the 6008 is point by point.
If you are using a square wave then it may be easier (if your device supports it) to use a digital signal and simply toggle that.
The frequancy of the square wave would obviously be half the speed that you are toggling the digital signal and will be a maximum of 5V and a minimum of 0V (not guarenteed, you might like to look at the data sheets to get a better understanding of the likely voltage values).
I hope this has shed some light on the subject.

Safari, iTunes and Acquisition won't open

Hi everyone - hopefully someone can help.....
About a week ago, I was having problems connecting to my wi-fi through my airport. I reinstalled OS X, I was able to get the airport working and go online w/ Entourage but when I click on Safari, iTunes and Acquisition, nothing happens - Safari, the icon bounces, then the black triangle appears underneath it and no window appears, I can't even select anything from the dropdown menu. iTunes, I connect my ipod, it doesn's start open it up like it usually does and when I click on it, it bounces, no triangle and nothing. Same thing with Acquisition. I was having problems w/ my ipod about a month ago, I couldn't reset it and all of this happened after I completed one of the software updates - I'm thinking it might be music/software related? I did a hardware test and it found no problems. Please help!!!

How to Calculate Freight and Acquisition Overheads on Material Price

Hi Gurus,
currently i am working in Product costing. my requirement is to calculate Freight and Acquisition overheads on Material Price.i have maintaind rates for condition types ZFRA , ZA2H and ZAOH by using MEK1 transaction code. eventhough system is not calculating this overheads while running CK11n. system showing only material price no other oveheads.
my intension is to estimate the cost for Purchased parts not for Manufacturted parts. for that i have given the priority in the Valuation Variant is Price from purchase record.
can anybody resolve my problem?

Thanks for your reply.According to my clients requirement i need to do material cost estimates for purchased materials thru ck11n.for this i have given priority as price from purchase info record in the Valuation Variant. my mm friends maintaind price in the purchase info record ME11.
In additions to this i also maintained rates for Freight,Acquisition and Customs condition types in MKE1.
Now if i run CK11n, system showing only Material Price which is in the Purchase inforecord but system not calculating any required overheads.
I need to calculate Overheads thru Condition types not thru Costing sheet.
If you see Price Simulation system calculating the Overheads accordingly.but same is not getting populating while running the CK11n.
In Valuation Variant under the Deivery Costs tab I have assign all required Condition types to Valuation Variants and Controlling area accordingly.
I hope that i explained my current problem clearly.can anybody give me the solution

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely. Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again.

Report that shows Asset number with acquisition year and acquisition month

This reprot gives you the calender year dates but we are actually for for fiscal year date and period.
Example
asset acquired on 05/01/2009 calender year
our fiscal year will be 02/01/2010. ( April to March).
we need to generate reports that shows second dates ( fiscal year 02/01/2010) and your mentioned report shows only caldender year( 05/01/09). advice if know any report

Control and acquisition (events) 2

I have questioned :"I need to control a stepper motor and at the same time to acquire signals (voltage of the motor). When I control a stepper motor it works perfectly, it responds inmediatly, but if I try to control the motor and acquire signal at the same time, the motor not respond inmediatly.... How can I control and acquire the signals at the same time? and the motor respond inmediatly."
Jonnie5 responds me.. and he said that if I´m using buffered types, there should be no problem in simultaneous acquisition & control...
I don´t know what does he mean with buffered types, also I need information about events, and which is the utily of the events?

First of all, we will need to know what hardware you are using. I hope you've got the NI Motion controller and an NI DAQ board. If so, you're looking good. Jonnie5 was talking about continuous buffered acquisition. There are several examples at your fingertips that ship with LabVIEW. Under the Help menu, go to Find Examples. On the dialog that appears, select Hardware Input and Output -> DAQ -> Analog Input -> General and then whichever "Cont Acq .... (buffered)" example you like.
Run that example in parallel with your stepper motor routines and you've got a prototype. If you do not feel that your LabVIEW skills are developed enough to integrate the two functions in parallel, there are LabVIEW experts waiting to help at a nearby Alliance Member co

Asset Retirement and Acquisition

Hi All,
I need a report where in i can get all additions made to all assets and than differentiation between different type of additions to the asset like acquisition external or intracompany transfer.
How can i generate such a report?

The following reports can be used:
Acquisition - S_ALR_87012050
Retirement - S_ALR_87012052
Intra co transactions - S_ALR_87012054.
Using S_ALR_87012050, one can view the various types of additions by using transaction type in the selection criteria. However, all the above reports are as on a particular reporting date and not for a period. Only changes to a fixed asset can be viewed for a period using Tcode S_ALR_87012037. This provides all changes to the assets for the stated period. However, this is not in a user-friendly manner.

My Bold 9900 is typing "nmnmnmnmmmmn" continously and the keypad and screen torch is disable.

Please kindly help me, my bold9900 is not responding, it writes "nmmnmnmnnnm" on search space itself continously. Whenever the screen ligth is off I'll have to reboot it again to on it. Sometimes it switch off itself. I have upgraded it recently and it work normal for two weeks but it faulty again with the same problem. Kind tell me what I can do.

Difference between 'Continent' and 'Country' when ...

I couldn't find an answer to this on either this forum or on another medium.
My phone is C5, I live in the Netherlands and I use the most recent updates of my firmware, Nokia Maps and Nokia Suite.
On the Maps-tab in Nokia Suite (also in former Ovi Suite), we can download:
-map-data country per country;
-every country in a continent by clicking 'Download All' in the top of the screen;
(with both of these, the countries indeed are downloaded separately when I check the "downloading"-tab)
-the whole continent at once by dragging-and-dropping the name of the Continent to the "On device" part of the screen (then, I see only e.g. "Americas" in the downloading-tab)
It all starts downloading, works perfectly.
Sometimes I noticed a difference between the data in the application when downloading the continent-at-once and downloading country-by-country (or clicking 'Download All'). However, I can't pinpoint it. There's also a difference in the total amount (MB's) of data stored extra on the device.
Is it that some countries (say, "Nepal" or "Ecuador") are not included in the country-by-country, but are in the continent-download?
Is it that the continent only downloads all the low-detail info (so until you zoom in), while the separate country-by-country gives me the exact opposite; High detail but no 'terrain-view' if I zoom out?
Sorry for a lot of text... , and thanks for any advice!

Just to add to the confusion there are anomalies with some island(s) which neither seem to be included as a country's dependencies nor are included with the nearest land mass, but yet data is present if World map data is downloaded; whether the reasoning is that as probably small amount of data it can be downloaded with Ovi Maps in "Online" mode if needed I know not.

When I turn on my laptop, the screen remains black and only the Caps lock LED blicks continously. Please help me solve this problem.

IQ rate setting and acquisition time using 5641R

Hi,
I am doing some signal recording using the 5600 down converter and 5641 IF transceiver. I am having some strange timing issue with my signal acquisition. I am using an IQ rate of 1.5625 MSamples/sec and recording 2500 data blocks continuously and 6250 samples in one data block. With the said setting, I am actually recording 6250*2500=15625000 IQ Samples. The issue is that the acquisition time is supposed to be 10 seconds but it is taking 20 seconds time. If I change the number of data blocks, then the time is also changing but I am always having double of the expected time.
As the IQ rate is in Samples/sec so why it is taking double of the time. Any body can comment on this issue!

Actually I am using the instrument driver interface programming. I am using external clock for the IF transceiver. By using Configure Ref Clk.vi, I am setting the clock source as Clk In and it is actually causing the problem for me. If I use the Onboard Clock, then there is no timing issue. Can some one from National Instruments advice me that how can I handle this issue with the instrument driver interface programming.

Continously and waveform graph

Hi!
In my program Im recieving sampled data from hardware
via COM port.
If I want to display the data (voltage values) in
"realtime", continously, Is it possible to use
"waveform graph"? It seems to me that only "waveform chart" can be doing that. Can "waveform graph" only handle "finished" arrays(finished means "loop is done" and no more data to enter the array)?
The reason I ask this is that I want to have a correct timeaxle according to samplerate from hardware.
To be able to have correct time between the plots I am maybe forced to read data a certain time and when this time is reached the array is done and I can use the "waveform graph with bundle"?

A waveform chart is used to append te data as it is acquired, the graph collects the data and then graphs it at the end. And yes you can collect your data and then output it to a graph when you are done sampling.

On connecting to itunes or charger iPhone 5 beeping continously and I am unable see anything on display. In itunes I can see everything when I connect to computer. What could be the issue with my display and how to fix it.

My iphone power button is not working so today I decided to replace it, on opening few screws I was unable to continue as I was not able to open all the screws on the iphone. So far I had managed to disconnect display panel & battery only. So I decided to not to replace button myself and I closed it. After closing I am able to see iphone 5 connected to itunes and I can see all my data, however it continuesly beeping when connected to charger or computer. Also I do not see anything on display. Before opening the iphone everything was working fine now I can't see anything on screen.
I do not see any hardware demage or anything like that, can anyone suggest what could be the problem?

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.
Everything that cames in the box is included in the 1year warranty, unfortunately you're just outside of that warranty. Regardless, if the above troubleshooting does not resolve, take the device to Apple and they can determine if the issue is the device, the charger(s) or something else.

Firefox 3.6.7 crashes continously and sends error report to mozilla

I am wrinting this from IE8 as its the only broswer that works for me, FF 3.6.7 opens for 30 seconds and closes say " Well this is embarassing firefox has closed" well damn right it is.. FF just keeps onpening and crashing and opening and crashing. this is on google firefox start page too, OS win x64 Enterprise version . 2x xeon E5450 @2.0 ghz = 8cores
I used to be a chef and , too many cooks spoil the broth, this can clearly be said about the coders at mozilla, too many coders spoil the software. I have been aloyal fan of FF since v2.0 but Ive had enough of the messing around trying to get this to work. this thread will never be responded to or if it does it will be so out of date by the time someone answers that Windows will have win 10 out. keep it simple like back in the day, to many opinions to many individuals to many coders with there own way of doing things. times up mozilla. either sort it or your going to the bottom of the browser pecking order.
