NI-CAN Konfiguration in Max

Sehr geehrter Damen und Herren,
Mein PXI-System ist mit einer NI PXI 8512 ausgestattet. Über MAX wollte ich darauf zugreifen. Nach Anleitung sollte es dort die Möglichkeit geben, einen Bus Monitor zum Test zu verwenden. Der ist aber nicht auswählbar.
Über Werkzeuge / NI-CAN / RT_Hardware-Konfiguration erhalte ich die Meldung "Es wurde keine National Instruments Hardware Schnittstelle gefunden".
Allerdings kann ich sehen, dass NI-CAN 2.7.2 installiert ist und die Karte wird unter "Geräte und Schnittstellen" auch angezeigt. (Dort kann ich nur den "Selbsttest" durchführen, der auch erfolgreich ist)
Über LabView bekomme ich natürlich auch keine Verbindung. Auch die Beispiele funktionieren nicht. (Aber ist ja auch kein Wunder, wo ich ja noch nichts konfigurieren konnte)
Ich bin nun ein wenig ratlos. Können Sie mir helfen?

Dort ist genau beschrieben, welche Software und Treiber Sie benötigen.
Generell ist zu sagen, dass für die Verwendung von XNET drivers für PXI-851x Cards der NI-CAN Compatibility Layer installiert werden muss!

Crystal 2008: Text, Can Grow=true, Max Lines=0, truncated after 2 lines

I have a fairly simple, grouped report with a handful of fields in each Detail section, one of which is a note/text field. I put the text field on its own line and set Can Grow = true, max lines = 0 so that it will display what it needs to display.
This happens to be a crystalreports.com report using data coming from Salesforce, and I can see in the source report that I have about 7 lines of text for one of my groups, but crystal is truncating it after two lines, and in the middle of a word.
The word ('for') doesn't have any obvious special characters in it, so I'm guessing that there's some sort of character limit that I'm bumping up against.
I have another record that is returning more than two lines, though; are there particular characters that could cause this? I can scrub the data and/or put Salesforce Validation Rules in place to try and prevent them from getting in.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Help I can only have max. 3 apps. open at the same time ?
If I have 3 apps. open, and try to open a 4th. this message comes up :
The application "Mail" cannot be launched. -10810
Of cause if I'm trying to open up something else than mail, lets say iPhoto, it will say "iPhoto".
This is very weird to me, and I'm normally pretty good at solving issues myself, but I'm stuck with this one.
Please help out

I've had this quite a lot too. Do you find that under these conditions you can't load a disk image either?
At first I put this down to Rosetta taking up a lot of resources. I was running OmniWeb with a lot of pages open in the workspaces so I've switched back to Safari until OmniWeb is UB. This morning I read that having Windows file sharing switched on helps to cause this problem. I switched this off, rebooted and ran disk utility to repair disk permissions and I've been running OK since then. I've currently got 13 apps open plus Finder and Widgets. They include 2 bigguns, Eclipse/MyEclipse and Visual Paradigm for UML. It'll probably stop working now I've written that.
I run a MBP 17 with 2GB memory. My guess is that Windows file sharing does cause problems. I just hope Apple has resolved this in 10.4.7... whenever that is.

Can I install Max OS X Lion from Tiger 10.4.11? If so, how can I do it?

The questions is simple,
I want to buy Mac OS X Lion and install it on my macbook. I am using OS X Tiger 10.4.11. The problems is that it seems that in order to instal OS X Lion it is necessary to have the last version of OS X 10.5 (Snow Leopard).
So the question is, Can I install Max OS X Lion from Tiger 10.4.11? If so, how can I do it?

competitive solution instead recommends a distance variance of 30 meters or less among ISLs within a trunk. If the distance variance is greater than 30 meters, undesired and degraded performance will occur. For example, if a trunk has a distance of 100 kilometers, the competitive trunking solution allows a cable length variance of only 0.03 percent!

Pb of transmition of a message on CAN bus with MAX using a CANdb file (.dbc)

I tried to transmit a message on the CAN bus with MAX, I used a database.
I have tried to transmitsome datas with the "NI CAN channel test pannel" (right click on a channel of a message), I put my value i click on "start", then "send" and when I look at the "Bus Monitor" (right click on CAN0) I see messaged that are received but I don't see my message transmit...
Why my message are not transmitted?

No posting of code is needed, open the Help >> Example Finder.
Search for the example CAN Receive.vi, and Transmit Receive same Port.vi. Before running the CAN Receive.vi set the interface to CAN257, then run it. Then in the Transmit Receive same Port.vi set the interface to CAN256 and then run it. Now when you click Write it will send a frame out on CAN256. CAN256 and CAN257 are virtual loop back ports. What is sent on one is received on the other. So you should see the frame you wrote appear in the CAN Receive.vi which is monitoring 257.
Using this technique you can write code that monitors one of these ports, then reacts sending simulated data when requested, or set it up to just periodically send the data you want.

Can't reach max (also with fancontrol) and min fan speed manually

I'm using fancontrol to control my fan's speed. One thing I noticed is that maximum fan speed is never reached even when temperatures exceed max limit.
If I set max temperature in /etc/fancontrol to 55 and restart fancontrol, 55+°C will cause fan to speed only at ~5800 RPM. If I set min temperature to 60, fans will completely stop. 'pwm_enable' is set to 1 when fancontrol is running.
Now if I stop fancontrol, fan will speed up to ~6460 RPM while 'pwm' is at 255 and 'pwm_enable' changed to 0. I can't change 'pwm' value at this point. If 'pwm' gets set to 0, fan will completely stop.
At this point fancontrol is still not running. If I set 'pwm_enable' to 1 and leave 'pwm' at 255, fan will slow down to ~5800 RPM. If I set 'pwm' to 0, fan will not slow down completely, but will instead slow down to ~2080 RPM.
What's interesting is that although fancontrol can't reach max fan speed, it can stop fan completely, while I can do neither manually.
Any idea how to enable at least max fan speed for fancontrol?

T510 w/ NVS 3100m can't show max resolution for a dell 30Inch

T510 Docked
Windows 7 64bit
Dual-Link Cable attached to Dell 3007WFP monitor.
Max Resolution is 1280x800
Ironically, I have a second monitor attached on the DVI port 2 Single Link and this is 1600x1200
NVIDIA NVS 3100m
Why can't this display the max resolution for this monitor.

Can't rename can chassis in MAX (9188XT)

Hi community,
I am unable to rename my NI 9188XT chassis under MAX. I can change the hostname, but not the actual device alias. Its not a name conflict as I can not rename it to anything, whatever I type it changes back to cDAQ9188XT. I have restarted the unit several times. A screenshot is attached.
Any reason behind this?

I have the same problem.
I don't like to leave the default name in case I change chassis to run the same program. I would have to reconfigure max.

When you are about to edit the tab-bars (any level),
make sure you disable the tabbar generation (service-
level). Each uix-page calls this tabbar with a parameter
for selected-tab (0 to n). If you edit the *tabbar.uit
and for example, merge 2 tabbars into 1 (with a level 2
globalheader for further navigation), don't just delete
the code in the uit-file, but simply set one of them to
rendered=false (instead of
data:rendered=groupname@infoTable:something). This will
not screw up the selected-tab settings on all pages where
the selected tabbar is on the right (higher number) of
your merged one.

How can i write max and min data online during acquisition

I am not keen with programming and your help will be greatly appreciated.
I make temperature acquisition from an IR camera and I record online 38 different spots at a frequency of 10 samples/min.
I also record two temperatures from thermocouples at the same sampling rate.
I would like to make the acquisition during 5 sec every 20 sec and extract the max and min temperature from the thermocouples and write these values in a text file like show below :
Temp_max 5 sec 22.1
Temp_min 5 sec 2.1
Temp_max 10 sec 42.1
Temp_min 10 sec 4.1
Temp_max 15 sec 82.1
Temp_min 15 sec 6.1
I also would like to make the same with two or three different spots of the IR camera. I think that if I have a good solution for the thermocouple, I can make it for the camera.
I use LabView 8.2 with NIDaqmx acquisition.

Thank you for your advice. In fact, I have already attended to the training course you mentioned. I should think about going to the module Basic II. I do not have problem to connect/pilot various type of instruments but I am not very efficient with loop and arrays !
I am fine with the data acquisition and the timing and I can sort data during 5 sec with "Array max & min". Then, I can display all data. What I have problem to do is to extract the max & min from the array, keep these 2 values for being writtten in a file at the end of my loop and start again during the next 5-sec cycle. At present, I only have the last max & min results from the last acquisition !
Any example of how recording max & min online during 5-sec cycle acquisition will be welcome.

I have a real time target. Ii works well till today!
Its hour was incorrect and i change it from the Bios. I do not change anything else. I just correct hour form 15:00 to 14:30.
I restart to computer and ı recognıze that from my host computer ı can not see devices (cards) on RT from MAX.
In the deskop of the rt target the following writes:

Oh no! We'll get that up and going. What kind of target is this? PXI? Desktop ETS? It looks like changing the BIOS indirectly caused a corruption in the connection between the target and MAX. Did the crash create an error log file? You can find where the log file is located on a RT target here. If so, what does the file say? Have you been able to repeat this crash? If a file has become corrupt, we may need to reformat the target.
