NI IMAQ - Windows 7 64bit

Hi,
I wonder if anyone can shed light on a error we are experiencing. We are running pretty old NI IMAQ-1411 Image acquisiton devices on windows 7 64bit.
We have install the very latest driver package from NI, i think dated Feb 2015. And also flashed the bios of the dell optiplex 7010 to the latest version. a20.
Every 2-3 days the PC will BSOD whilst acquiring images.
BSOD indicates its the niimaqk.sys driver being the culprit. I have attached the mini dump, any ideas?

Bob_Schor, has asked some very vital questions to troubleshoot this problem further. If you could provide us answers to those maybe we can try to get to the bottom of this issue.
Also, have you ever had this issue before or have started experiecing this issue recently? If the latter is the case, what are the changes in software and (maybe also hardware?) that you have made?

I have a brand new HP laptop windows 64bit that is having issues installing Itunes 10.6.3. Whenever attempting to install, I get the error message : "THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE WINDOWS INSTALLER PACKAGE. A PROGRAM REQUIRED FOR THIS INSTALL TO COMPLETE COULD NOT BE RUN CONTACT YOUR SUPPORT PERSONNEL OR PACKAGE VENDOR." I thought this was an issue with the new version, and attempted to retrieve/install older versions of Itunes and same issue occurs. I have tried other forums and resolution tips from : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3551 and nothing still. It appears that apple installs bonjour and nothing else. I have tried extracting the itunes package and installing the executables seperately, but everytime the error stil arises. I cannot repair the apple software update as it cannot install from the error mentioned above. Looking through the logs, it shows error : 1721, problem with windows installer package.Does anyone have any suggestions on what to try?

I updated to itunes 11, uninstalled it according to directions, and re-installed itunes 10.7.021 for windows 64bit. Now Iget the message itunes library.itl cannot be read because it was created by an earlier version of itunes

I re-installed Itune10.7.021 for Windows 64bit, but now I keep getting the message "The file itunes library.itl cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of itunes. How can I resolve this problem?

Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!

Getting the position of the cursor in an IMAQ window

I am currently working on a project using LabView 6.0 and IMAQ Vision. I need to get the instantaneous coordinates of the cursor in an IMAQ window, without clicking the mouse button. The purpose is to let a laser beam follow the movement of the cursor.
The coordinates are in the toolbox as shown in the attached diagram. Is there any simple way to get these coordinates, preferably without using external code? Thanks!

You can't follow the mouse cursor natively in LabVIEW unless one of the mouse buttons is down, but I've attached a VI that will trace a freehand draw operation - maybe that will help?
PS: This is an example VI from my upcoming book "image Acquisition and Processing with LabVIEW" - would you mind if I used your image in my book as an example?

Oracle 11G Express Windows 64bit Version

There is a known issue with Dbcontrol when try accessing the URL via Internet Explorer
Can you check by accessing the Dbcontrol URL via a different browser like Firefox or Chrome

Log in to Enterprise Manager Console using Internet Explorer 7 and higher fails with "Internet Explorer cannot display this page" or with Security Certificate Error (Doc ID 1498203.1)
If still an issue then check the status of Dbcontrol to ensure its working fine

Thank you for you answer, but it isn't heart of the problem. The problem is that I don't have choose iTunes version manually, it's happens automatically, and start downloading iTunes for Windows 32-bit.

I definitely recommend 64bit Windows, the principal reason is memory addressing limitation.
In my standpoint do not exist benefits to use Windows 32bit with Oracle Clusterware/RAC.
32-bit processors have address registers that are 32-bits wide (can address up to 4GB physical RAM).
You can to use a workaround by enabling the addressing of more than 4GBytes using parameters in Windows (AWE/PAE). But if I want to use more than 4Gbytes, I'll go to Windows 64bit.
The 4GB addressable space per process is divided into system and user space. By default, the system space is 2GB and the private user space is 2GB. Each user process shares the same 2GB System address space.
The services of the Clusterware, ASM and Listener will consume at least 1Gbyte of memory initially.
If you create an instance to to use 1Gbytes and you have 50 connections you will have problems with connections to the database raising the following error.
TNS-00510: Internal limit restriction exceeded
32-bit Windows Error: 8: Exec format error
TNS-00507: Connection closed
32-bit Windows Error: 109: Unknown errorReason: Problems of memory usage. i.e. Out of Memory.
Another point:
With Windows 32-bit using Clusterware/RAC 11.1 you can set Automatic Memory Management(AMM) feature (MEMORY_TARGET) but you cannot use if you create 2 Instances on same Host.

I belive that is reason wich Oracle not support Oracle Grid Infrastructure 11.2 on Windows 32-bit. You cannot use ASM 11.2 on Windows 32-bit.
Definitely do not exist reason for me to to use Windows 32bit to support Oracle Clusterware.
There are lot services involved wich require memory and a big limitation of memory on 32-bit.
At present all latest CPUs support 64bit. Then install Oracle Clusterware/RAC x64, even when you are use less than 4GBytes memory, you only have benefits.
Benefits of Use 64-bit are:
64-bit versions of Windows have implemented up to 16 terabytes of virtual address space
64-bit programs use the 16 terabyte tuning model (8TB user / 8TB kernel)
No performance penalties for large memory
Unlimited user connectivity
64-bit Windows versions allow addressing of large physical memory sizes without using PAE

GUI of Minefield for Windows 64bit (4.0b13pre and earlier) is "corrupted"

The GUI of the Windows 64bit version of Minefield (4.2a1pre, 4.0b13pre and earlier) is somehow corrupted. The tabs and the address bar contain vertical left-out spaces as well as other parts. The browser itself works pretty good.

Yes. The GUI irritations have gone after applying the recent update 4.2a1pre (2001-04-12). Many thanks to the community!
PS: after applying the update of 2011-04-14 the version number has changed from 4.2a1pre to 6.0a1. What does this mean exactly? Won't there be a released Firefox 4-x64 version anymore but instead this is already an alpha for a future release?

Not only on Windows: 64bit software requires 64bit OS, but 64bit OS does NOT require 64bit software. So you don't need to install 10g 64bit on windows 64bit, but you cannot install 10g 64bit on windows 32bit.

ODBC Driver at Windows 64bit 2003

Dear All,
I tried to install the Oracle ODBC driver for the windows 64bit 2003 but the driver did not added to the ODBC drivers list in the "Data Sources (ODBC)" at the Administrative tools in the control panel.
This is a big problem for me because I need to add Oracle database at the SQL server as a Linked Server and the SQL server need the OLE DB Provider which comes with the ODBC driver
Please provide me with ODBC driver or direct me to the right direction

ITunes & Apple Mobile Device Driver Not Compatible w/ Windows 64bit Systems

In short, I spent over 2 hours on the phone tonight with Apple Support. The call was elevated to a software engineer. After several minutes he apologigized and state the Apple Mobile Device Driver is not compatible with Windows 64Bit systems.
Therefore I can't activate or do anything for that matter. I effectivly have a $600 paper weight. I asked the engineer if they have any intention fixing it and never received a direct response.
None of the documentation that I have found states 64bit Operating Systems are not supported. The support rep stated nor he or his collegues were unware the mobile device driver didn't support 64 bit OSs either. I consider this to be really misleading and a huge oversight on Apple's part.
I wrapped up the call by asking him how I go about returning the device without being struck by the 10% restocking fee. He didn't know.
Anyone have Steve's number? I sure would be nice to get at the minimum a full refund.
I just thought everyone else should know so you don't tie up support lines and waste your time trying to find a resolution.

Yes you need to do a Homogeneous system copy.
Installations and Upgrades -> Entry by Application Group -> " SAP Technology Components" -> SAP SOLUTION MANAGER" -> SAP SOLUTION MANAGER 7.0 EHP 1 -> Installation and Upgrade -> Choose OS and DB.
