NI-SCOPE Output on PFI0 or PCI1 for 5122

Hello,
I am somewhat new to NI-Scope.  I have a 5122 card and would like to output a single TTL pulse on either PFI0 or PFI1.  I don't want it to be triggered or anything.  Basically, on my front panel I'll have a button that says "Pulse" and when I press it the appropriate PFI will output the single pulse.  I've tried using NIScope Export Signal.vi but can't seem to get it to work.
Thanks for any assistance!

Mike,
Thanks for letting me know about the single pulse problem.  Unfortunately, a pulse train won't work for my application.  Let me explain a little more what I need to do.
I have a 5122 card and I would like to acquire data continuously.  There will be a button on my front panel that will say Acquire Data and when I press it the card will start taking data.  My data generation will need to begin with the acquisition, which is why I need the pulse.  The data generation board is configured to begin its sequence of data generation whenever it receives a trigger signal, so if I use the Probe Compensation vi's at 1kHz then my data will keep starting over until I call the Stop vi.  So, this pulse that I need will do two things - trigger my data generation and also trigger my data acquisition.  The data acquisition will stop when I press a Stop Acquisition button.
I had previously posted in the discussion forums about performing a continuous triggered acquisition with the 5122 card:  http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=150&message.id=2034#M2034.  As you see in the link (3784.vi) I can use this vi with a trigger pulse on PFI1 or PFI0 to start my continuous acquisition.  I was hoping to use this same trigger pulse to begin my data generation so that they would be timed together.
I'm not sure about this but it look like the Probe Compensation vi may also stop the acquisition.  Will the first pulse arm (start) the acquisition, and then the second pulse will be interpretted as the reference (stop) trigger?  Again, I'm still learning about NI-Scope.
Thanks for any guidance you can give me!

  • How to Schedule Report Output in EXCEL (.cvs) format for Planning 11.1.2.1

    Hi all,
I'm using Planning 11.1.2.1 for entering data and generating reports manually via Workspace. I wanna set up an automation process with a batch scheduler.
I've gone over the documentation. I've read about creating batches first then scheduling batches next.
However, the biggest issue I have is that I want to extract all my reports into EXCEL Spreadsheet (.cvs) format and according to the docs, it only supports output in PDF or HTML for 11.1.2.1.
Is this true? Is there a way to work around this by using Business Rules at command prompt?
    Thanks,
    N

If you have the Financial Report open there are two options:
    - in the bottom right hand corner of the report click the link: "Export In Query ready Mode"
(this opens the report so you can use it as an Excel retrieve)
    - from the Hyperion menu, select File>Export>Excel
(this exports the headers as objects and the data grid, so you can manipulate in Excel).
    Cheers, Iain

  • OutPut as a PDF doc for Output Determination process of a PO

    Hi
Can I get the OutPut as a PDF document for OutPut Determination process of a PO for a Vendor.
My schema should produce a PDF file and get transmitted to that Vendor as soon i save my PO.
Also can i get any SAP document on this.
Pls help me. Swifty reply me.
    cheers
    MaruthiRam

    Hi,
PO can be sent to using Outlook email or the Internal send within SAP.
    Message via E-Mail
    Use
You can send purchasing documents to a vendor by e-mail.
You can also send memos to an internal user from within the purchasing document, in which case the recipient can directly access the relevant document when processing the e-mail (executable mail).
    Prerequisites
    External Transmission
    Make the necessary Customizing settings
The SAP system is configured for the transmission of external mails.
The message determination facility has been set up in Customizing for Purchasing.
You have defined a communication strategy in Customizing under Messages Output Control -> Message Types -> Define Message Types for <Purchasing Document> -> Maintain Message Types for <Purchasing Document> on the Default Values tab page, so that if no e-mail address can be found, for example, the system sends a fax.
    The following information is necessary:
    1.Data
    2.Value
    3.Comment
    Message type:
    Communication strategy
    E.g. NEU
Choose a communication strategy or create a new one. Via the input help, you can branch to the maintenance function for communication strategies. Choose in the following window.
Enter the necessary data on the Default Values tab page on the detail screen for the message type ().
    Processing routines
    Medium
    Program
    FORM routine
    5 (external transmission)
    SAPF06P (e.g. for PO)
    ENTRY_NEU
The entries are identical to those of the print output.
    Partner roles
    E.g. external transmission/LF
    Maintain master data
Message records must have been created through master data maintenance (Purchasing menu). (See Creating Message Records)
Enter the necessary data u2013 for example, role LF (vendor), medium 5 (external transmission) and time spot 4 (send immediately upon saving).
SAP recommends that you work with time spot 4, so that the e-mails generated are sent immediately.
If you work with processing time spot 1 (send via periodically scheduled job), you must schedule the program RSNAST00 periodically for message output, so that messages are generated and e-mails sent.
An e-mail address is stored in the vendor master record.
An e-mail address is stored in the user master record.
Please note that you must also maintain an e-mail address for user IDs with which batch-jobs are carried out.
    Internal Transmission
    Make the necessary Customizing settings:
You have maintained the Customizing settings for Purchasing under Messages, Output Control -> Message Types ->Define Message Types for <Purchasing Document> -> Maintain Message Types for <Purchasing Document>.
    The following information is necessary:
    1.Data
    2.Value
    3.Comment
    Message type:
    Time-spot
    Transmission medium (output medium)
    Partner role
    E.g. MAIL
E.g. 4 (send immediately upon saving)
    7 (SAPoffice)
    MP (mail partner)
Enter the necessary data on the Default Values tab page on the detail screen for the message type ().
    Mail title and texts
    E.g. mail from purchase order
    Processing routines
    Medium
    Program
    FORM routine
    7 (SAPoffice)
    RSNASTSO
    SAPOFFICE_AUFRUF
    Partner roles
    E.g. SAPoffice/MP
    SAPoffice/LF
    Maintain master data
Message records must have been created for the message type MAIL through master data maintenance (Purchasing menu). (See Creating Message Records)
For more information on the internal and external transmission of e-mails, refer to the Basis documentation under Business Workplace (BC-SRV-GBT).
Further information on external transmission is available in the Basis documentation under SAPconnect and in the section External Sending in the SAP System.
    Activities
    External Transmission
If you have specified the processing time-spot 4 (send immediately upon saving), the system will immediately generate and transmit a message when you save the purchasing document.
If you have specified the processing time-spot 1 (send via periodically scheduled job), you must initiate the output of e-mails manually.
    Result
You see the documents generated in the SAP system under Office ->Work center -> Outbox -> Documents.
    Internal Transmission
On the message screen of the Purchasing application (e.g. in the purchase order), enter the message type, the medium (SAPoffice) and the role (MP = mail partner).
Choose Means of communication and enter your text on the following screen (<Purchasing document>: Send with note). Enter the useru2019s first and last names, for example, in the Recipient field.
    Executable mail
If you wish to insert a transaction (because you want the recipient to view a purchase order, for example), choose Goto -> Execution parameters. Enter the necessary data, such as execution type (T = transaction), execution element (ME22N = Change Purchase Order), execution system, and the SET/GET parameters (BES for purchase order).
    Result
If you have specified send immediately as the processing time-spot, the user will immediately receive a message or document when the purchase order is saved.
The user can view the message sent to him or her via Office -> Work center -> Inbox.
If the document in your inbox is an executable mail, you can click the right-hand mouse button and directly access the relevant purchase order, for example, via the menu thus displayed.
    Hope it works...
    Regards,
    Kiran

  • Config Scope of list ALV as default for reports ME5A / ME5J / ME5K

    Hi all,
We had performed configuration SPRO> Materials management-> purchasing> reporting>maintain pur.list->scope of list->define default values for transaction to set ALV as default scope of list for a number of transactions.
    It is all okay for transactions: ME2B, ME2C, ME2J, .... ME3B, ME3C, ME3J, ME3K, ME3L, ME3M.  But for ME5A / ME5J / ME5K, the default of scope of list became "A" (3-line + n special) instead of "ALV" even the configruation had been done.
How can we solve this?  Thanks.
    Regards,
    Donald

    Dear Donald,
For T-code ME5A / ME5J / ME5K Configuration path is Materials management-> purchasing> reporting-->maintain PURCHASE REQUSTION LISTS --->define default values for transactions to set ALV as default scope of list.
This will definately solve your problem.,

  • Output type not trigerring Automatically for inbound delivery

    Hi all
We have created a custom output type for Delivery idoc processing ZPOD copy of OPOD and maintained all the settings also condition record for the same has been maintained.
But when we are creating inbound delivery the output type ZPOD is not coming automatically.
In the Delivery document and in the Output screen i have checked  Determine analysis for output(VL32N -> Enter IBD No -> Select menu option Extras -> Delivery output -> Header
Go to menu option GoTo -> Determin.Analysis.)
It is showing me ->Message 502-Output ignored (requirement 017 not fulfilled)
Can u please throw some light so that in output message determination the Output type should come automatically for Proof of delivery
    Thanks and regards
    shailesh

Um... I think the message is pretty clear on this - the reason is "requirement 017 not fulfilled".
Requirements for output control may be found in VOFM transaction, under Requirements -> Output control. 017 is the standard one, the description says 'POD on goods issue'. According to the comments, the output is not issued if  "POD status is initial" or "No output, if no goods receipt".
Either correct the document or remove this requirement in output configuration, if it's not applicable.

  • Sample Command Output of show chassis inventory for CSS

    Hi,
I am trying to get a sample command output of "show chassis inventory" for:
    CSS 11501
    CSS 11503
    CSS 11506
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks in advance.
    Mike

    Hi Mchi,
When I use the command: show chassis inventory. I found :
    Slot  Module                           Serial
    1     CSS5-SCM-2GE F0   JABxxxxxxx
    2     CSS5-IOM-2GE E0   JAB08xxxxxx
    3     CSS5-IOM-8FE F0   JAB0xxxxxxx
    4     CSS503-SM-INT     JAB09xxxxxxx
this is the switch fabric module that connects the other modules.
This is an internal module and it can't be removed/replaced.
Use the show chassis command to display a chassis configuration for the CSS. The syntax and options for this command are as follows:
•show chassis - Displays a summary of the chassis configuration.
•show chassis slot number  - Displays the operational parameters for a slot in a CSS 11503 or CSS  11506 chassis. Enter an integer value for the chassis slot number.
•show chassis verbose - Displays detailed information about the chassis configuration.
•show chassis flash - Displays the operational and locked Flash software code on the CSS  11501, and the CSS 11503 or CSS 11506 SCM and I/O modules. An asterisk  (*) character before a Flash version of code and build number indicates  that it is active.
•show chassis inventory - Displays the physical configuration of the CSS including part and serial numbers.
•show chassis session-processors - Displays the weight and power summary of the session processors in the CSS chassis.
    CSS11506# show chassis inventory
    Chassis Inventory:

Even a "show chassis verbose" command does  not indicate the presence of a GBIC.  It shows the Operational Status of  a port as "online" whether there is a GBIC installed or not.  For  example, in the output below Slot 4 has a GBIC installed in port 4/1,  but 4/2 is empty:

All this sounds like you are confused about the general nature of MIDI Continuous Controllers (MIDI CC). The MIDI specification allows for 128 different CC's: CC0 to CC127. Some are typically "preallocated" to 'standard functions: CC1= Modulation, CC7=Volume, CC10+Pan, CC11= 'Expression'. Some act as switches such as 'Sustain' CC64.
    frodojon wrote:
Everything appears to be scaled from -63 to +64 if that's what you mean by scaling?  What do you mean by MIDI CC7?
Mainstage works with MIDI CC's generally in a number of ways:
Some standard ones are automatically passed through to all MIDI/Instrument channels unless you specifically block them. Others are not passed through unless you specifically map them to something.
This mapping can be done basically two ways (with MS 2.2):
    a) Make a Screen Control in Layout mode, and assign it to a particular incoming MIDI CC message. Then, you can map this Screeen Control to a variety of parameters such as the volume of a particular channel strip.
    b) With MS 2.2, you can do the above Assign and Mapping directly, without the need for Screen Controls as an 'intermediary'.
    frodojon wrote:

    Yes.
It sounds to me like you have an issue where you have several hardware controls on your Keyboard set up to transmit the same MIDI CC. This is probably not a good idea, and it would be much better if you assigned them to transmit different CC messages (CC1 for Modulation and probably CC11 for the Expression (though you may want to set the pedal to some other number instead.
Once you are transmitting different CC messages, you will be able to Assign and Map much more flexibly:
for example, you could one to control the overall output volume at Concert Level in MS, whilst the other controls the volume of a specific channel within a Patch.
Your issue of layered patches is one of "Scaling": one Screen Control (assigned to an incoming MIDI CC message) needs to alter the ranges of different channel strips to different amounts. You can set this up by using multiple mappings for one Control, each set to work over a particular range (for example a goes from -20 to 0 whilst b goes from -30 to -20 etc.).

  • Output ZTYP in lang EN for partner 0069000010 is deactivated

    Hi all,
The message "Output ZTYP in lang EN for partner 0069000010 is deactivated (for automatic proposal)" appears after I change the Language for the output.. The output ZTYP is configured and is automatically created when creating/changing PO. But it is deactivated once I change the language. What can be done to prevent the deactivation?
    Thanks,
    Eo

    Hi,
It seems, it is completely customized functionality.
Please check the partner functions and output types configured and the transmission medium in SPRO.
Also check the driver program, forcefully if they are restricting it for something or so...
    Regards,
    Santhosh.
