Ni xilinx compile tools 14.4 Error

Hi all,
I tried to compile my LabVIEW FPGA VI with the last version of xilinx compile tools 14.4
I got the following error
I re-installed the ni xilinx compile tools 14.4 TWICEn and the the result is the same.
Help.... please.
Thanks,

I would bet that this is an issue with a botched UNINSTALL of Xilinx 11.5. To fix:
Go to 'C:\NIFPGA\programs'
Do you have a 'Xilinx11_5' folder? If so, I bet it's empty/corrupt. Move it to another directory for this test.
If you don't have one... well then I'm wrong and the issue is elsewhere
Do you expect to have/need Xilinx 11.5 on the system (for compiling with LabVIEW 2010)?
Cheers!

Please check out that when you tell compiler the location of the include files (for RW) with -I option, you dont give /rw.
    for eg., it should be
    -I/opt/SUNWspro/SC4.2/include/CC/rw7
    and not
    -I/opt/SUNWspro/SC4.2/include/CC/rw7/rw

  • Grrr... Xilinx compile failures

I appreciate the effort NI has put into making FPGA programming available to the unwashed masses.  When things work correctly it's slicker than a greased seal in an oil factory.  When things go bad it's extremely frustrating with few clues about how to fix the problem.
I've been struggling with intermittent compile failures on a cRIO-9074.  The latest problem when I added code to make the fpga LED flash while the fpga is running.  That generated a compile error, so I removed that code.  Now it still won't compile, even though it's the exact same code as before.
I've attached the Xilinx log file.  There are several different types of errors, each of which is repeated multiple times.  Links are to the Xilinx KB articles:
    ERROR:coreutil - ios failure
ERROR:sim:928 - Could not open destination 'PkgBeatleTypedefs.vhd' for writing.
    ERROR:ConstraintSystem:58 - Constraint <INST "*oInputFalling*" TNM =
       "CcInputFallingRegs";> [toplevel_gen.ucf(141)]: INST "*oInputFalling*" does
       not match any design objects.
    ERROR:ConstraintSystem:59 - Constraint <TIMESPEC "TS_AsynchMite30"= FROM
       PADS(mIoHWord_n) TO PADS(mIoDmaReq<*>) 0 ns;> [toplevel_gen.ucf(703)]: PADS
"mIoHWord_n" not found.  Please verify that:
       1. The specified design element actually exists in the original design.
       2. The specified object is spelled correctly in the constraint source file.
According to Xilinx, the first error should be ignored--the design will load and run fine.  Is that possible when compiling within Labview?  Is there a way to run the compiler tools directly, and would that even help?  The second error requires modifying the UCF file, and the third requires various tools and options not available (afaik) to LV developers.
I've been fighting the FPGA compiler for about a month.  Its unpredicability is deadly for small businesses trying to deliver something to a customer.  I'm about ready to throw the whole thing in the trash and go in another direction, simply because I can more accurately estimate how long it will take me to implement on a different platform.
    [Edit]
I just tried recompiling the fpga vi again.  This time I receive a new error:
LabVIEW FPGA:  An internal software error in the LabVIEW FPGA Module has occurred.  Please contact National Instruments technical support at ni.com/support.

I'm using a 9237 in slot 3 and setting the sample rate to 1.613 kS/sec.  Slots 1 and 2 have a 9411 and 9422 that I will read using the scan engine.  (Some of my RT test code uses the 9422, some doesn't.  It doesn't seem to be related to this problem.)
Interestingly, I added a small bit of code again to try and get the LED to flash while the FPGA is running.
...and I got all sorts of new compile errors, such as...
    ERROR:HDLCompiler:806 -

At the very end of the log it says, "Sorry, too many errors.."  I guess it just gave up.  I know the feeling.
I tried deleting that code and recompiling the vi, and it still won't compile.  I assume if I create another new vi via copy and paste it will work again, but something weird is going on.

  • Error compiling movie. Unknown error. In both Premiere and Media Encoder

I am trying to export a a batch of six sequences, out of Premiere Pro CC to my internal hard drive using the Apple ProRes 422 Quicktime setting. All of the sequence exports are failing in the first couple of seconds. This happens if I do them individually directly out of Premiere and if I export them out as a batch to Media Encoder. All get the same "Error compiling movie. Unknown error." error message. I have tried restarting the computer, that didn't fix it. I had the same problem with some other files yesterday but I was able to export them out individually OK. But with this batch, no dice. The sequences are all fully rendered. There aren't any problematic clips in the sequences, not that I can tell. None of the sequences is very long, only about 1-2 mins each.
    Any ideas?

  • "Error compiling movie. Unknown error" while rendering a .PSD or .PNG

    Hi,
I have this problem: When I try to make a "Render Selection" or export my video, everything is ok until I reach a .PSD file I've placed almost in the end of the clip.
The same is for .PNG file, a dialog appears saying "Error compiling movie. Unknown error".
I've tried to delete the effects, but it's the same. To be more specific, I've applied a simple "Cross Dissolve": Until the transition is working, and the picture is not entirely visible, the rendering works. When the picture is "complete", the render stops and the error appears.
When I tried to delete the transitions, the error appeared in the beginning of the .PSD picture.
    Any help?
    Thanks

Are you stills in RGB format? what pixel size are they?

    Error:Error compiling movie
    dvinfo.net
Thanks for the help evry one...

That error can happen for many reasons...one of the reasons that I occassionaly get it is because I try exporting a movie to an external drive that has been formated in the old FAT32 instead of the NTSF standard.  FAT32 only allows for file sizes up to 2 gigs.  And as soon as it reaches that...I would get that error.  I don't know if that is why you are getting that error...but it would be easy to check.  1) are you generating a file that is over 2 gigs?  2) is your drive that you are exporting to FAT 32 (just right click the drive in My Computer and select "properties" then just look for what it says next to "file system".

  • What to do if Add Header/Footer tool and Bates Numbering tool both get error message? File too big?

    Hello,
I'm working with a 700 page / 103 Mo PDF that I need to put page numbers on. Both the Header/Footer tool and the Bates numbering tool result in error messages.
'An error occurred while retrieving the contents of the page.'
I suspect this is because the PDF was made by assembling 30 smaller PDFs via Preview and never down-sized during the process. I would imagine that would create a kind of clunky file. Or maybe it's simply the size that is overloading the software.
Does anyone have any advice on a fix or a workaround for this? I need to put page numbers on. I really want to put them on the composite PDF (going back to the 30 original PDFs would be a real headache for a lot of reasons.)
    Thanks!

    Hi Eliza,
Your suspicion is right. It might be possible that assembling different pdf's together created from different applications might be the issue.
Try printing the pdf to Adobe pdf printer and then try adding the page numbers and check.

I have my Clips recored in MXF and I have this error(Export Error Error compiling movie.)

  • Can't EXPORT or RENDER in PREM CC!! "Error compiling movie. Unknown Error."

I am using PMW200 MXF files alongside 5D MKiii files - I finished the edit and went to render/export and it won't let me do either! I can't get the edit out of the software and I have a deadline in an hour.
I only bought the software today (have been using the trial version and I am just coming from FCP 7 - I get this error:
    "Error compiling movie. Unknown Error."

    Hello Bill
The Adobe KB Article (http://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/kb/error-compiling-movie-rendering -or.html ) does not answer the question asked, because the end of the error message is "Unknown error" which is not listed in this article.
I often encouter this error which is a RANDOM error which occurs only with pictures (4256x2832 .jpg or more when I use panoramic pictures with more than 50 MPx) but never with video (1920x1080 HD .m2ts) from my camcorder. The only way I found to do a complete render is :
    - save and close the project without editing it,
    - close Adobe Premiere Pro (CS6 or CC, same error),
    - reopen Premiere Pro and reload the project,
    - resume the render.
If I render WITHOUT Mercury Playback Engine : all is perfect, no error but the render needs very much more time.
My own conclusion : this render crash might be due to VRAM oveflooded during render with Mercury Playback Engine (this might be checked and monitored with the freeware GPU-Z).
My GPU is GTX 570 with 1280 MB VRAM and the render are only full HD (H.264 1920x1080i).
If you have a solution except remove the GPU and purchase a GTX 770 OC 4 GB VRAM, I am waiting for it.
    My actual system :
    - CPU Intel core i7 970 (6 cores, overeclocked to 3,9 GHz),
    - MoBo : Intel DX58SO2,
    - RAM : 24 GB,
    - GPU GTX570 with VRAM 1280MB (Nvidia driver allways up-to-date),
    - HDD : RAID 10 with four WD 1002FAEX (7200 tpm, 64 MB cache),
    - OS W7 64 SP1, 64 bits (allways updated)

  • "Error compiling movie.  Unknown error" - my solution

I was trying to encode a project to mpeg-2 DVD yesterday, when I repeatedly received the message "Error compiling movie.  Unknown error."  I had had this happen before and I can't remember what hoops I jumped through to fix it.  But yesterday, I found a simple solution that may work for someone else in the future should they ever search for this problem in our forum.
The problem turned out to be with some .wmv files mixed in with all the other .avi files I was using.  And the solution was to right-click on the .wmv clips in the project bin, choose "modify," then choose "interpret footage.  From there, I changed the frame rate choice from "Use frame rate from file" (which was 30.00) to "Assume this frame rate" and entered a value of 29.97.  Voila!  Everything rendered without a hitch!
    Hope this helps someone.
    J. D.

I agree, Jim, but my train of thought was that a lot of people were changing and replacing and taking out effects and clips from their sequence to see if it was the components in the sequence that was causing the "unknown error." However, I had the same "unknown error" and was able to export in Premiere anyway by just practically "telling" Premiere that it's a new project, when I'm importing an old project to do the same task. Which makes me think that maybe Premiere doesn't have a problem exporting the specific files that most people thought were the problem, maybe it was just a glitch somewhere in Premiere that made the software think there was a problem after a certain amount of time, when there really wasn't. I don't know, I'm not a coder so that's just my layman guess. I did notice that Premiere was exporting/rendering fine when I was just beginning my project, but after it got to a certain length, that's when I couldn't render or export anymore. It honestly baffles me too. It would be useful to see what the results are if other people tried this simple switch-a-roo so possible issues can be narrowed down.

  • Error Compiling Movie.  Unknown Error.  Premiere Pro export failure

Error Compiling Movie.  Unknown Error.  I get this message when trying to export my timeline to any format.  It exports for a while then I get this message.  When I try to export using media encoder it just gives me the sheep sound.  I'm starting to hate that sheep.
Does anyone know how to figure out why it throws up this error message and what the solution is to get around it?  I've wasted countless hours trying to figure out a work around.  I can't just scrap this project it's taken me weeks.
I've been able to export just fine dozens of times prior to this so I'm not sure it matters what my specs are but here goes:
custom built PC with windows 7pro SP1
    Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600K CPU @ 3.4GHz 3.7 GHz
    16GB ram
    64-bit OS

After implementing many suggestions here I was able to export the 9min project successfully.  I need to take you all out to dinner.
I'm not sure which suggestions did the trick but I have a feeling it was a combination of ideas that did the trick.  Here is a breakdown of what I did to modify the project in order to get it to successfully export:
1.) Reset all stills in the motion tab to original settings & then right clicked on them in the timeline and selected "scale to frame size".
2.) Replaced all nested files with the original tracks.
3.) Changed the sequence settings (changed Editing Mode to Custom and Under Video Previews Section > Select Preview File Format as Microsoft AVI, Codec Uncompressed.
I had to re-render all previews after changing the sequence settings and I got I/O errors during that process but restarting Adobe Premiere CC somehow solved those errors.  Many times during the process of modifying the timeline (based on items 1-3 previously mentioned) I had to restart Premiere due to a loss of preview screen and inability to render things out.  In the end I was able to get it to successfully export so again I thank you all.  This was a VERY important project for me and I'm serious about taking you all out to dinner

  • "Error Compiling Movie. Unknown Error" tip

I feel like I can contribute something worthwhile after asking many questions.
Today I got the dreaded error message "Error compiling movie. Unknown error."
    Maddening.
After trying to figure out which step in my editing caused this, and being unable to reverse it, I created a new sequence with identical settings to the one that I could not render and then copied and pasted the clips from the old sequence to the new.
    It works fine.
So clearly something has gone screwy with the sequence.
So if you get the warning dialogue, see if this works. I hadn't seen this solution on the boards anywhere.

Error compiling movie. Unknown error is a big pain in the but.
Creating a new sequence does not work for everyone.
You have to try all sorts of things to narrow the problem down.
I once had that error and after messing about a whole afternoon i found a falty clip.
Anyway thanks for reporting your solution.

could you please let me know whether we have any
automated error monitoring tools to track errors in sales orders
    Thanks in advance

I wont recommend turning off cookies in production.
Turning off cookies was only from a Performance
Testing perspective, Not using cookies for a performance test but using them in production, sort of invalidates the test, since much of the issue I had was the testing tool waiting for data to be returned to the cookies so it could be used to move to the next page.
Partner Management uses all of them. I uses iStore for its external launch page, OA framework for its functionality, but then links to Sales online for Opportunities, and Quotes which I believe is AK framework. so you have a mixture of several
    frameworks involved...... plus Discoverer Viewer...
