Nice display to fit small space

I'm recommending several Macs for a customer. One workspace has an overhanging bookcase which leaves about 18" usable above the desk. The new 21.5" iMac is 17.75", which is too close for comfort (it might fit, but probably wouldn't pivot). The base on the 21.5" isn't replaceable with a VESA arm, so it's out. The next option is a Mac Mini with an external monitor - again Apple's 24" is too big (not sure about size without the stand - looking into that). Apple's old 20" would probably fit if I could remove the base, but again no VESA there.
So I'm looking for a recommendation for a display in the 19-20" range that:
-Looks really nice (ie, fits in a nicely designed area with other Macs and Apple displays)
-Is under 18" in height
-If it doesn't fit with the included stand, has a VESA mount adapter, so I can remove any base and mount it to the wall
I wouldn't say money is no object, but it's not a primary concern. I want to maximize the use of the space with a really good display.
Most other displays have ugly black plastic bezels, which I want to stay away from here.
Any recommendations greatly appreciated.

Thanks Pawan,

this is a very rare feature to know i believe since most of the people havnt faced it i guess.

    Hi TKCDM1!
You should try to get this purchase onto your iOS device by using the suggestions in the following article:

  • Remote Desktop Connection/RDC display is too small on my MacBook screen

I use the free download from MS, RDC version 1.0.3 on my MacBook - to connect remotely to a PC network at my job from home. When I connect remotely the RDC display is very small on my MB screen. Is there anyway to enlarge the display or am I locked into the small size?

Thanks, Garreth. When I connect remotely with RDC, I only see "RDC" and "Help" along the top of the screen. The 'Options' link is nowhere to be found; even under each of these two tabs. Is there more than one version of RDC for Mac? It would be great if I can fill my entire MB screen (given it's already 13") with the RDC connection display.

  • Mail Composed, and incoming messages displayed Font too small.

Most emails I receive and my outgoing composed messages use a font size around 12 point. People who receive my emails see a normal size, but while I am composing or reading incoming messages the font displayed is too small and difficult to read.
When I use other applications where I also use or view a 12 point font, and have the viewing magnification set to 100%, the displayed font is just fine. I think this is due to my screen resolution which is set to 1280x800 on my 13" MacBook.
When I change my screen resolution to 1024x768, the mail displayed 12 point font becomes readable, and in other applications the 12 point font at 100% magnification is the same as when I was using the 1280x800 screen resolution.
I have tried entering Command-Plus to magnify the displayed mail message, it actually increases the font size in the message rather than magnifying the message and keeping the font the same.
Is there another way I can magnify just the displayed message without magnifying the whole desktop/screen?
    Thanks in Advance.
    Jeff Cameron

Yes, setting the monitor to the default resolution, it does look fine. But for applications like Word, Pages, Preview and many other when you set the display zoom magnification to 100.00 regardless of the screen resolution the text seems normal, but in Mail, there is no screen zoom magnification, and so the higher the screen resolution, the smaller the text in composed and received messages is.

  • Photoshop CC displays images 25% smaller than other apps?

Why is Photoshop CC displaying images 25% smaller than my other applications? If I open a 72 ppi square pixel aspect image in Photoshop, I have to zoom to 125% for it to be the same size on screen as in my browser or any other image viewer. Photoshop reads the correct pixel sizes, but displays it smaller.
I design and build websites and have been using Photoshop for over 15 years and haven't noticed this until CC. If I save the images and build out the site, or even just drag the image into a browser and then overlay that browser window above the Photoshop window to see both images side by side, I can clearly see a 25% difference in size.
If I zoom in Photoshop to 125%, then the sizes match. So, the problem is when designing a website, everything looks smaller in photoshop. Then when I build it out, everything is way too big.
My browsers are definitely at 100% zoom and I can open the image in any other image viewer at 100% and the affect is the same.
Is there a setting that can be adjusted in Photoshop to correct this?

I also have the same issue. I can reporoduce exactly what Roger2012Jr mentions above.
I have Photoshop CC, Windows 8.1, screen resolution 1920 x 1080. Files look really sharp in Photoshop, but when the file is exported (for web or not) the image is blurry and about 125% the size it was in Photoshop. Also, when I bring an image from the web, tried with a random image it still looks perfectly sharp in Photoshop, just about 80% actual size. That same image exported still looks perfect in the browser, same as it was originally.
So starting from scratch with an image, there's no way to guarantee the quality when exported and quality looks really blurry. I can't use the program with any sense of confidence.
Can someone from Adobe shed any light on this?

  • How to scale my stage to fit smaller screens?

I'd like to resize the whole stage (while keeping my width/height ratio) to fit smaller screens until it reaches its minimum dimensions (let's say 75% of the original size). I thought of using the css property "zoom" but nothing have worked yet. My default stage dimensions are set to 1024px by 728px.
    Thank you very much!

It works great but it seems like we can't set a maximum width/height... I would like my stage to "grow" until it reaches its maximum size (1024 x 768) even if the screen is larger than those dimensions.

I believe the problem is with the JMenuItem, not the JMenuBar.

  • Resizing a table to fit smaller screens

Hey everyone; so I am building a site for my photography and
I want the images to be quite large, but I want people with small
monitors to be able to see the site automatically resized so that
the browser doesn't crop the site any.
Is there a way to make the tables to automatically resize the
contents to fit the given browser window (the way a .gif or .jpg
would if viewed on its own)?
    thanks,
    Danny

This would depend entirely on the type of image. Even a
    little upsizing can
    destroy a photo.

  • A new display was put on my macbook pro.  Display is too small to read

My 2011 Macbook Pro was just serviced for having intermittent pink lines in the display.  They put a new screen clamshell on it.  The new display has the text so incredibly small I can't even read it with my reading glasses on.  The menu bars are small, everything is small.  I'm having to hunch over the screen WITH glasses and still can't read it. I can't seem to find where to adjust it like last time.  I can't read the email, etc.  BTW, the vertical pink lines did NOT get resolved with a new clamshell.  As soon as I got home, it did it again so if anyone has any suggestions on that, I would be appreciative as well.
    Thanks.

Not sure about the text on screen but that sounds like they replace the standard display with a High Resolution model.
Open System Preferences and the Display section. Make sure it is toggle to Best for built in display and then change it to scaled and see wha the resolution is set to. Then toggle it back to best to Best for built in display.
As to the lines it sounds like the Logic board will need to changed.

You may need to set the viewport in a meta tag.
    http://developer.palm.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1574&Itemid=26
The webOS browser supports the viewport meta-tag, which allows sites to control the rendering width, initial zoom factor, maximum/minimum zoom factors, and whether zooming is allowed.
