There are many threads about ear phones, these one have been covered before here but i suggest having a search through the forum there are quite a lot of suggestions, especially for the canelphone type thing.

it sounds like you all have a broken headphone jack socket. it would certainly seem so if other headphones don't work. this is caused by soldering on the socket being broken. creative will repai it for you. in the uk you have year parts and labour warranty, but in the usa you have year parts warranty but only 30 days labour (I'm not entirely sure, i am in UK). you will need to contact support to get a relacement or repair. if you can return it to the shop, try that first

  • Earphones/headphones for the zen mic

anybody can recommend a good brand/model for earphones/headphones to use with my zen micro?

Take a look here for a couple of links to good review sites.
Headphones are very much a personal thing in both style and audio response, so it depends what you like.

  • Whar are th earphones to buy for my zen mic

the ones u recieve dont stay in my ear to welll, wat are cheap and work well with the micro?

<EM> I used to use the sony range of in ear phones but find that they broke a long time ago after not much use. I now have for my Zen touch a pair of JVC big cans which give a decent sound but only cost about ?30. I am also in the process of saving up for a pair of Bose Triport cans which should give good bass but are very expensi've (around ?20).</EM>
My husband is a hi-fi nut. His religion is the constant search for the perfect hi-fi system matched by the perfect headphones to hear it out of. He will not touch/consider any in-ear phone thing. I have taken his advice and stuck to the JVCs but am going to save for the Bose ones. My advice is, try something a bit more than you would normally pay like Sennheiser or Bose (who are supposed to have a good reputation) and don't touch Phillips (2 year built in obsolence) or (approach with caution) Sony.

  • Accessories for Zen Mic

I'm sure this question has been asked a million times, but I'm wondering what is taking so long for a decent array of accessories to show up for the Zen Micro. Is there a Micro-specific FM transmitter? Armband Carrying case? Cassette adapter? Jogging-friendly earphones (the ones that come with it are great for everything but jogging). I'd rather get accessories that aren't generic, but I'd also like them soon, so if anybody can enlighten me, I'd appreciate it. Thanks

No to all of the above. There are a lot of accessories compatable with the zen micro, but none made specificly for it. Creative E-mailed me that there may be new zen micro accessories this month. It's just a matter of time.
In the future, if you know that these questions have been asked, look for the thread that already has these questions.

  • Is there a driver for the ZEN Mic

ok so like my friends Zen Micro died and i offered to take a look at it, i beli've its the?5 GB one it could be the 8GB but its not the photo one, when i connect it to my computer it says it needs to find the driver, so i say it can look through the internet for the driver but it does not find it so for fun i try my CD that came with my Vision:M as they might share a driver i dunno it was worth a try but nope nothing, so i have been googling the driver and cannot find it, so my question is where can i download the driver or software or whatever i need cause obvioulsly this MP3 player is not plug and play so yah a link would be nice thank you so much.

ok so i finally found the driver and my computer finally recognizes it but now my computer is lagging it took forever for the media organizer to finally open and anything to do with the player takes a long time to load up, im trying to fromat the player to start from scratch any idea i downloaded the firmware thingy and i choose english and ten nothing happens....

  • Earphones Volume Control, Mic

My earphones that came with the iphone are not working properly.  The volume control buttons, the middle switch, nor the mic are working.  The only function that seems to work is that you can still hear the earbuds.  Any suggestions; think Apple will replace them?

I'll leave this open in case of a miracle, but I now think the set's damaged.  The mic also doesn't work:  no Voice Control or Voice Memo, after all.
    Still good earphones, though.

  • Plugging in earphones causes zen vision: m to shut do

i've never mis-treated my zen, always taking great care with it. but lately i've stopped being able to use it, because just plugging in the earphones will cause the 'shutting down...' message to appear, and it's bye-bye music.
one thing i've noticed is the little black ring inside the earphone part has gone missing. I've asked creative if they could perhaps send a replacement part out, but they refuse as i'm outside the warranty (I bought it from them refurbished). but even if i cover up the part that's now 'showing', it still does the same...which strays me away from the whole shorting out theory
?has anyone had this problem? how do i fix it's

  • Armband for Zen Mic

I've noticed looking around the site, that for the Muvos and all, you can get armbands. And also over at the Apple website, you can get armbands for the Ipod Mini. I was wondering if there will be an armband for the Zen Micro...Message Edited by Quickening on 03-2-2005 2:56 AM

tganani wrote:It doesn't look to me like that Tunebelt case would fit, not attracti'vely at least. If it's exactly the size of the Mini (looks like it is) then there should be a good deal of empty space on top/bottom. Can anyone post pics with a Micro inside?
I hear what you're saying about the space given the picture. However, the description on the TuneBelt website lists the pocket dimensions as: H - 3.6", W - 2.0", D - .5" and says "This also fits Creative Zen Micro." According to the specs on the Creative website, the dimmensions are listed as: H - 3.3", W - 2.0", D - 0.7". So it seems like it would be a nice match (aside from the .3" on height).. But only seeing one in person will we know for sure.

  • Is this true? (about zen mic

my zen micro (5gb) has a problem. I can only transfer about 85 songs onto it, then the software and the player both freeze. I tried every options in the "rescue mode", but didn't work. Today I called the customer support. The person I talked to was very nice, but what he said confused me. He suggested that I should put no more than GB of songs onto the player!! How weird, if so, why I purchased this 5GB one?
Does anybody have the same problem? Any solutions?

OK, I tried another PC and this time I was only able to transfer 63 songs. (My previous PC can transfer 85 songs). I have been struggling with this zen micro for one week and I don't want to suffer any more. I will call the customer support on Monday and send it for repair.
I have to say, I am very disappointed with this MP3 player.

  • Suggestion for new mp3 player (had a creative zen mic

Well time for me to get a new mp3 player. Because Creative wasn't very good at honouring my warranty (four players didn't work properly and they wouldn't replace the fourth) I am reluctant to get another creative. But if you guys tell me they have come along way AND I can use my previous charger with a new player, then I'll consider it.Suggestions?

i have the zen v plus and i am quite happy with it, i just updated to the latest firmware, it charges by plugging into your computer USB (cable provided) its a budget nano competitor that has great user interface and i personally thing the design is really cool and it plays videos, but im trying to get creative to include compression video support in future firmware cause the video it supports is like 4 MB to 8 seconds of video :| the sound quality is pretty good, but then again i dont know your standards it has an inbuilt FM receiver and line in/mic recording
    im really happy with it.

  • Can I transfer Music from One Zen Micro to another Zen Mic

    Hello,
I've had my Zen Micro (Green) for 3 weeks now and now my girlfriend wants one a Zen Micro too, which she'll get in the next few days. I was wondering if there's any way to transfer mp3s from my Zen Micro to hers?
I was thinking if I plugged 2 Zen Micros into my PC and then load up the Nm=oman Player and just drag the songs from one Zen Micro to another......will that work. Or is it best to just drat the songs onto the PC and then transfer them onto my Girlfriend's Zen?

I would imagine you can do that .... although you may need the latest firmware 2.xxxxx which would mean you have to use WMP 0 ...
I should wait until she gets hers then plug it into your PC and see if it recognises it .... if it does you have no worries .. if not post again and everyone will do there best to help out

  • Bug in contacts? (Zen Mic

    Hi!
I was looking for a way to save some lyrics in my Zen Micro, and I thought that would be a good idea to save them in the "Notes" area of the contact. You know, Start > Run > wab.exe, create a new contact, and in the "Other" tab, you write whatever you want in the "Notes" box. Then you can sync the contacts with Creative MediaSource.
But (there's always a but) the Zen Micro does something wrong, and from a point of the lyrics it shows lots of "\n", characters that look like boxes, and some other rubbish.
For example, I tried to copy the lyrics of "Vertigo", that song of U2 ( http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/u2/vertigo.html ) but from "But you give me something" it shows those strange characters. Could somebody else confirm this? Could this be a bug?
I know that using Contacts to store lyrics is a bit weird, but what do you want? I can't store text notes directly in my Zen Micro! ... *hint* *hint* Creative? Are you there?
    Thanks!
    EDIT:
I'm editing to correct someting. For synchronising the Zen Micro I use the option "Sync music and Outlook data between PC and the device" (or something like that, it's in Spanish) in the Zen Micro Media Explorer. I guess it's the same.Message Edited by melado on 02-06-2005 :53 PM

Following your advices (thanks!), I wrote some text in the "Other" box of a contact, but the same thing happened. The text appears correctly until a part, after there it appears with \ and strange things, and it doesn't appear complete.
Maybe I could try with "Tasks"... but I don't have Outlook
    Any idea?
Btw, I have seen that program in the forums of Nomadness.net, but I don't think it's a solution.

  • A few questions regarding the Zen Mic

. Should I take off the sticker in front of the Zen Micro's buttons and screen that it came with?
    2. Why can't I listen to the radio while browsing the menu items?
    3. There's this radio station: B00 who's # is 99.7 But whenever I go to this other station 96.5 it's all staticky and its playing B00 in the background even though that station is called Mix 96.5

. Yes, it makes it hard to use otherwise. I cut the protector in half and left the other half over the screen.
    2. This is the way the firmware is designed.
    3. Sounds like bad reception.
