Nidaqmx base linux example and utility

I have a problem, i currently do not have labview installed on my labview, instead i have installed nidaqmx base in order to use the c api for my usb-6218. However, last time i had labview installed on ubuntu, labview could not detect the device. So, first is there any programs (free) out there which can tell me what labview devices are connected to my computer so i can debug the connection?
Also, are there any examples of the nidaqs base c api? I dont have labview installed so i cant access any examples in the program help.

Seems like the installation of the DAQmx Base Driver has not gone according to plan. What Linux distribution are you working with? Does it meet the outlined driver requirements for kernel inclusions?

NIDAQmx base linux install help

hi
i'm trying to install NIDAQmx base v1.5 in RH fedora core 4.
FC4 does not automatically install the kernel sources/headers. so i
downloaded those and followed the instructions to get them into the
/usr/src/linux-2.6.11 directory. i did a kernel build and compiled +
installed the modules using the make modules/make modules_install. i
rebooted with the new kernel so that all the environment variables are
in correct. i was not too attentive to the kernel option when i
compiled but it booted up and linux ran. now in the updateNIDrivers
script the make install line creates compile time errors which cause
the instalation to fail. i have no idea how to fix this. any ideas?
is there a kernel option i missed? does NI KAL not work with FC4 only with FC3? or do i have to get RH Ent Linux WS3 instead?
is there anyway to install the kernel sources into the default directory and not require a kernel build.

Unfortunately, KAL will not build on FC4. Red Hat
changed too much in the 2.6 kernel. This also applies to Red Hat
Enterprise WS 4. The latest version of Red Hat Linux we officially
support is WS 3. I'm glad you were able to get it to work in 8.0. I
would stick with that. To get your VIs to show up in LabVIEW, try
reinstalling the driver (I'm assuming you installed the driver before
LabVIEW). Please let me know if you need any more help.

How to restart base station from airport utility? I used to be able to do it remotely
I currently use a Mac Pro 10.8.4 and have a time machine for wireless 6.3 (630.34). Sometimes I cannot connect to the internet and use network preferences to diagnose the issue. This results in being told to restart the wireless. The airport utility includes the drop down option of restarting but is not clickable so I can't choose it.
With my prior macbook and same time capsule, etc if i had problems connecting to the internet I would run network diagnostics to help out. This included clicking on the airport utility ---> base station --> restart. This worked most of the time.
Bottom line, is there something I am missing in not being able to restart the wi-fi remotely? ]

You are likely forgetting a step.
Open AirPort Utility
Click on the Time Capsule icon
Click Edit in the small window that appears
Now click the Base Station menu.....top of the screen....not the Base Station "tab" in the center of the screen
Click Restart

Old AirPort base stations and Time Capsules aren't compatible with AirPort Utility 6.2, so you have to use AirPort Utility 5.6. As you have already updated, you can't install AirPort Utility 5.6 by the normal way.

In my Airport Utility a read the following message:

I assume that your MacBook Pro is running OS X Mountain Lion ... correct? If so, version 5.6 can run just fine on this version of OS X; it just can't be installed in the traditional way.
Here are the basic steps to install version 5.6 under Mountain Lion using CharlesSoft's Pacifist:
If you haven't already download the AirPort Utility disk image file directly from Apple Support Download
Place the resultant AirPortUtility56.dmg file onto your Mac's Desktop.
Run Pacifist.
Click on the Open Package option. Find the disk image file that you just placed on your desktop, and then, click on Open.
The utility is located as follows: Contents of AirPortUtility56.dmg > Contents of AirPortUtility56.pkg > Contents of AirPortUtility56Lion.pkg > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility 5.6.app
Drag AirPort Utility 5.6.app to your Mac's /Applications/Utilities folder.
You can now run the AirPort Utility from the Utilities folder.

Je n'arrive pas a faire tourner la carte PCI 6014 avec le driver Nidaqmx base 1.4 sous Linux (Suse 9.0). lsdaq reconnait la carte mais le programme d'exemple acquire1point renvoi une erreur de timeout. Le driver prend-il bien en charge cette carte ?

Does this combination exist? Is linux great in this role?

This contradicts the information in the Oracle® Database Release Notes 10g Release 2 (10.2) for Linux x86-64:
In Oracle Database Oracle Clusterware and Oracle Real Application Clusters Installation Guide, Chapter 2, "Preinstallation," in the section "Oracle Clusterware Home Directory," it incorrectly lists the path /u01/app/oracle/product/crs as a possible Oracle Clusterware home (or CRS home) path. This is incorrect. A default Oracle base path is /u01/app/oracle, and the Oracle Clusterware home must never be a subdirectory of the Oracle base directory.
A possible CRS home directory is in a path outside of the Oracle base directory. for example, if the Oracle base directory is u01/app/oracle, then the CRS home can be an option similar to one of the following:
u01/crs/
/u01/crs/oracle/product/10/crs
/crs/home
This issue is tracked with Oracle bug 5843155.

are there any plans for supporting the PCCARD boards (as my DAQCARD 6062E) by NIDAQmx base for Linux in (near) future? I have built a measurement software in C++ combined with a Java surface that I also would like to test on Linux. It runs fine with MSWindows.

I have a scenario in which the inpur credit is taken at the time of the creation of the GR. The Credit is declared to the authorities on a monthly basis. The goods are to be returned to the Vendor once the Excise is declared to the authorities. In this case there is a problem that I can not Cancel the excise invoice as it has already been declared.
Can anyone please explain the process flow for this ?

HTTP 401 error in CSADMIN for SAP content server on Linux OS and MaxDB

We have installed content server on Linux OS.and DB as MaxDB.
I created the repository using OAC0. The with same tab I went to CSADMIN.
When I try to create repository with executing it , it ask for user name and password.
I mentioned the SAPCS admin user name and password, but i got HTTP 401 error. Unauthorized user.
Even i tried with prefixing domain name and with root user ID and password.
But got the same error. Please help

Base Retina iMac and Photoshop CC 2014

I just picked up the base model iMac and am not very happy with the way Photoshop runs on it. For example, when using any of the blur filters I get a status clock with the percentage running along. This happens every time I move the center point. When browsing the filter gallery, it draws in in chunks. When using NIK filters, it again, comes in in chunks. Is this a PS issue, or is the iMac not-so-ready for primetime?

Java FX linux Firefox and browsers

I am new, and i has installed Netbeans on linux, all work good, i has tested an example and run correctly outside the browser
My problems begin when i try to run the example on the browser, do not work, continue to load ... but nothing happen, so i has tried
to test the JavaFX on javafx.com and also this examples die on loading...
I has tried on a Fedora 12 32 bit Ubuntu 9.04 32bit, OpenSuse 11.2 32bit , and all die on loading, so on standard Java installation, JavaFX do not wotk into the browser, and this is not good because an user probably choose another site.

On the second question: the answer is no, so obvious (?) reasons. (You are not the first one to ask it...)
The contract with Java applets is that they are inherently secure: they won't erase files on the hard disk, they won't read sensible information (on disk, on clipboard...) to send it to some insecure site, they have minimal interaction with the system (and the rest of Internet) in general.
Java allows to go beyond these restrictions, eg. to allow user to select a file on their disk and process it, or just to paste some text in the application.
But this breaks the contact above, and the user must be warned there are some potential risk to run such script.
Perhaps a more detailed message would be useful (this app will access your clipboard, etc.).
Perhaps such message will be some common that users will blindly always say yes, reducing the usefulness of the warning.
But removing totally these messages seems worse...
Another solution, but perhaps more convoluted/harder to implement, would be to show the warnings only when some features would be used: eg. if the user wants to save a high score, load a personal file, use their webcam or microphone, etc. Normal behavior for simple operations, warning on first use of sensitive functions...

PXI-4472 compatibility NIDAQmx base 3.4.0

I have labview 10.0 in opensuse 11.4 and apparently there is no NIDAQmx support for labview 10.0 so I ended up installing the NIDAQmx base 3.4.0.
I have a PXI-4472 card and it is not detected with the apparent reason that the NIDAQmx base.does not support the PXI-4472.
Is there someone who has had a similar problem and is there any solution of working around this issue?

This reply is for anyone who got this far but couldn't get further, becuase their setup was similiar and the above didn't work.
I have an Airport Extreme which I wanted to extend with a new Airport Express (2G). I first connected with a network lead and then decided I wanted to extend wirelessly so I could use the lead for my Samsung Smart TV - for Netflix. I clicked "forget" and then couldn't see the Airport Express to reconfigure it to extend my network wirelessly. Resetting the Airport Express is fine but it still doesn't appear in AirPort Utility.
You must switch ON Wi-Fi in System Prefs, Network. I didn't have it switched on because my Mac Mini is connected to the Airport Extreme with a network cable. The newly reset to Factory settings Airport is now available in AirPort Utility to select under the "Other AirPort Base Stations" button. Be careful of the default setting during setup. You do not want to use the AirPort Express instead of the AirPort Extreme (which sets the Extreme back to Default settings)
Connecting a New AirPort Express to a wired AirPort Extreme by first switching on Wi-Fi (which I wasn't using) was not intuitive. Remember to switch ON the Wi-Fi then switch it OFF after setup if you don't need it. And honestly one less thing in my living room broadcasting radio waves everywhere has got to be a good thing.
