Nik Plugins - msvcp110 dll fixed, but now CS6 crashes

I know a lot of us had that problem with Nik autoupdating that removed msvcp110.dll. I did as recommended and reinstalled and while the filters reappeared, now they crash once I try to confirm a style and exit. For a while they worked in CS6 32bit but not 64bit, but as of today it crashes in both. Has this happened to anyone else? Any ideas how to fix it? I've tried a clean install and running that Redistributable that's been going around. Stumped on what's causing it, but I suspect somewhere something is getting leftover in uninstall.

Check in with Google's Nik support forums too. They may have thoughts, given that it is the Nik plug-in that's performing worse than the previous version.

When I use find file http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30073/find-file (which does tend to find files that "Finder" can't), it's not coming up with any other itunes library files that have been modified in the past week, which I know it would have been - unfortunately, I don't have a very recent backup of the hard drive. It would be a few months old so it wouldn't have the complete library on it....any ideas? I'm wondering if restarting the computer might help but have been afraid to do so in case it would make it harder to recover anything...I was looking at this thread https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4211589?start=0&tstart=0 in the hopes that it might have a helpful suggestion but it's definitely a different scenario.

None of the 'fixes' Adobe or Firefox have, 'fix' anything. Mine crashes once every 5 minutes... this is bulls#!@ guys. I've sworn by FF for years, but I can't get any work done with this... I'm dumping FF

Broadband Dropping connection, fixed but now gamin...

Last Sunday our broadband connection was dropping every 15 or so minutes, I called BT and reported the fault. The lady asked me to remove the cover from our BT wall socket and plug the ADSL modem into a diagnostic socket but there was no socket visible after removing the wall plate. She then did a line check and confirmed a problem with the line at the house and an engineer would call me at 9am the next day.
9am on the dot I got a call from the same lady asking if the problem still persisted as they had made some changes. I left a ping test running which gave me a 100% success rate over 20 or so minutes (previous day it was 19% success rate over the same time). So she said they think its fixed and to keep an eye on the line over the next few days.
So, I think the line noise has been cleared up (about 8 months ago I asked for interleaving to be disabled), so the broadband isn't dropping it's connection but now my gaming pings have gone up and latency is awfull, I play Call of Duty Black Ops almost every night so any change in my connection is quite noticicble. People kill me before I even see them and its so frustrating that I can't play like this, not good when your in a clan.
I assume they put Interleaving back on to fix the problem of dropping connections? but now the older gaming problem is back.
Any help is much appreciated.

your noise margin is still a bit high at 12 as normal is about 6 and when the margin drops you should be up to 8mb being max for adslmax

Messed up permissions, then fixed but now disk utility repair perm greyed..

So I had changed ownership and permissions on an eternal drive, then couldnt see it so I typed the following in terminal to fix:
chmod 775 "/Volumes/volumename/"
That worked, but now when I go into disk utility, both the verify and the repair disk permissions are greyed out on that drive.
Any ideas?

Those commands will only be available if the drive has a bootable Mac OS X system. If the drive is set to ignore ownership or permissions, select it in the Finder, choose Get Info from the File menu, and turn the option off.

I've done every single "fix" but none of them prevent shockwave from crashing.I's been a year now and still no progress. the answers on here are redundant and just plain wrong.

I recently got my GPU error fixed, but now my MacBook Pro shuts down whenever I close the lid.

I bought my computer in July 2010. After 3 and a half years I finally discovered there was and an issue. GPU error. Fine. ok. I went to the store and even though they were nice enough to fix it for free, I'm now having another issue. Whenever I shut my computer lid, the screen and keyboard doesn't work. I can hear the computer fans but no matter what I do I can't get the keyboard or screen to work. In order to get it to turn back on, I have to hold down the power button until I hear the inside turn off. Then I have to hold the power button again to turn it back on. DId they give me a faulty part when they fixed it? Or is there something I can do? My computer is in great condition. No scratches, never been dropped, etc. HOW DO I GET MY SCREEN AND KEYBOARD TO WORK?

Invisible user folder fixed, but now its a package?

I ran the chflags nohidden ~/ command and now my user directory is visible again, but the Finder identifies it as a package rather than a Folder. How do I fix that?

Hi Recently My Iphone 4S Warranty Expired the screen got cracked but then i fixed it my self now it has a tone of faults i allways have No Service no matter were i am and My iphone is 64gb and the website doesnt sell them anymore Would Apples Out Of Warranty Service still replace it?

Because you opened it and replaced the screen using non apple parts. Apple does not sell parts. They won't touch it now. Buy a new phone.
If you had not done that, you could have had it replaced for $199.

IOS 6 Firewall temp Fix but now can't get YAHOO mail ***?

I spent 1.5 hours last night at the "Genius Bar", only for them to tell me that the issue with a firewall for the wifi wasn't an issue seeing as i just upgraded to ios 6, so got 2 new replacement phones to "fix the problem". I got back into our secure network only to find the issue still existed. This AM we removed the password on our firewall but kept WEP key in place. We can't track usage untill Apple come up with a fix that worked just as well as IOS 5.
However after re organising all my email accounts, i can now no longer get my YAHOO mail. Keeps asking for the password even though i input the correct PW.
Ideas welcome people!
PS.... lets go apple, love your stuff but you have tech friendly people that can't do what they are asked to do..... Hmm here's an idea, maybe keep it longer in BETA????

All we asked for is the phone to function as it should. Not a big ask to have it work as it would on previous operating software. This may not apply to you unless you were in the similar situation.

Boot Drive fixed but now is not bootable

First let me say DiskWarriar is an amazing program.
I had some major issue with my boot drive and DiskWarriar fixed the structure so now I can access the files etc.
However, the drive is no longer bootable.
Any suggestions what I should do from here?
I can see my user folder etc.
Is there a way to make the disc bootable and all will be as it was before?
If not, am I going to need to back up certain files and then erase the drive and reinstall the OS?
Any help would be appreciated.

I got my Ipod (3rd Gen) screen fixed, but now it wont turn on!

I connected it to my computer to go to Itunes, but It only shows the "Z" charge sign and wont turn on. I'm charging it, and it still is not turning on! Its the 3rd Generation, is their something wrong with the screen still? Or did they mess up the internal stuff?

It was fine when I turned it in, and ive been charging it in for a while now and It only shows the charging sign for a few seconds when I PLUG THE CHARGER IN, then it doesnt appear.
