Nike+ and the polar wearlink

So if I'm reading correctly, the polar wearlink will only work with the 5th generation nano and the 6th generation nano with the adaptor. I can't find anything written on the 4th generation Ipod touch. How is it possible that the new touch does not have this function or am I missing something

I'm also wondering why it dows not work on a iPhone 3GS. The app does not see a heart monitor, but the instructions mention how to remove it from one.

You do need to plug in the receiver in the 6G Nano iPod to use the Polar Wearlink+.
I just bought the iPod Nano (6th G, touch nano) and I coupled the Polar HRM Wearlink + in the Nike+ iPod settings. It was actually a non brainer. Plug the receiver in, let the iPod link with the HRM, and done. Same with the sensor in my Nike+ shoe.
Both of them work. I'm so glad to have this come together. The Polar Wearlink+ is cheaper then buying the whole Polar package (with watch etc). Of course, the iPod costs you also 159€, but then you can beam your workouts to the Nike+ website, which is very nice to follow your workouts. When you did the workout, what you did at the moment (run your longest, run the most calories etc).
Now that I tested it just by walking around and have a little run for a few meters, I cannot wait to get it to work.

Ipod nano & Nike Polar wearlink (+ also shoe band?)

To monitore while running the heartbeat using my ipod nano, is it enough to buy and connect the Nike Polar wearlink to Ipod Nano (5° and 6° gen.)?
I don't understand if it also needs the shoes band. Before to buy Nike Polar wearlink I'd like to be sure.

Yes, you need the Nike+ kit to connect the Polar Wearlink.
Pay attention buying the Polar Wearlink, there are many different types. Be sure to chose the ones for Nike+.

Seriousely? The Wearlink+ Nike+ heartrate sensor belt is incompatible with the iPhone 4S?
The iPhone 4S is probably the most evolved smartphone on the market and it can't deal with the Polar wearlink+ sensor? Seriousely? We have a state of the art GPS in it, we could have a heartrate monitor and have one of the most complete and modern training system but we should buy the iPod Nano 6th gen for that.
You must be kidding me! You guys at Apple sometimes must be REALLY walking on your heads!!! That's probably a sign you become too big and start missing the small details that were once part of Apple's DNA.

New nano's & Polar Wearlink+

Will the new nano's still be compatible with the polar wearlink+ chest strap that's being sold through the Apple online Store? I just bought a new strap and am itching to get a new nano (so I don't have to worry about losing the dongle any longer ;-) but it'd suck to spend 140 Euro only to find out it won't talk to my new strap ...
As a side note - do any current Wearlink+ users know if the strap is compatible with other Polar gear? I tried getting a straight answer from Polar themselves but the reps I spoke to either didn't know or weren't sure.

If you need to load a special app, yu are probably out of luck. You can't add apps to the new Nano.
If there's an Apple store near you, you could always take the chest strap there and try it out.
You could also call Apple Sales - they would be able to tell you.

Acquisition of heartrate from bluetooth polar wearlink

I'm trying to build a VI that recieve the heart rate from the polar wearlink bluetooth device for heart rate acquisition. I have build a vi, but the data from it is just gibberish for me. So I don't know how to transform it to anything useful. I'm using labview 2011. So far this VI looks like:

Nike+ and new Timex IControl Ironman watch

Does anyone know if there is a way to use the new IControl watch with the Nike+ sensor? It looks like the remote for the watch goes in the same slot as the Nike+ sensor so I'm thinking there isn't a way to use both at the same time.

I have had the watch for quite a while. I got mine early from the factory and there is not a way to use both the nike+ and the watch at the same time.

Is new software around for Ipod Nano 5G with the Nike sensor and Polar wearlink HeartRateMonitor to get spoken feedback on heartrate-zone, so you get a warning if your heartrate is higher or lower than the predefined range.

works fine, linking is easy, but....
Software is rather minimal: Heartrate is on the screen and you get feedback when the center-button is touched.
To get better results, more functions would be useful, like defining a heartrate zone (like Polar`s own-zone) and automatic spoken feedback if the heartrate is out of the pre-defined range. Also automatic spoken feedback on actual and average heartrate every pre-defined time-interval would be very useful: like the spoken feedback on distance and actual pace I get on my Iphone with Nike+GPS
Anyone have any suggestions ?

Ipod nano 7g and Polar Wearlink+ Nike+ Heart rate receiver

Hello to everybody, I am struggling in finding information about the compability between Ipod nano 7g and Polar Wearlink+ Nike+ Heart rate receiver without using any additional receiver.
Documentation posted on Apple, Nike and Polar websites only mention ipod nano 6g.

When LR's HDR merge brings a photo back into LR's library, the stack number does not change and the DRG version isn't included in the stack.

The Ps CS6 public beta version contains the same camera support as found in Ps CS5/5.5 compatible CR 6.6. There will be future updates to CR 7 for Ps CS6 to pick up more camera support. The Nikon D800 NEF files are not supported, yet.
If you like to work with your D800 files in the public beta build now, you'll have to get the DNG Converter 6.7 from here: http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/cameraraw6-7/
and convert your files to DNG.

I was wondering this too. Did you ever get an answer? I just bought a non-nike pair of sneakers and have a pod pouch now on my laces. I have it tight, at the lower part of the laces so its flat. When its on the left side my time is very similar to what it was when I used the nike shoes. When it is on the right side, my time is about 35sec/mile higher. I wonder which is more accurate and if you are supposed to have them on the same side. If so, then that is as accurate as with my nike shoes. Hope we get an answer soon. Im about to return everything its so frustrating.
