Nike+Connect Mac Wants To Open w/Quicktime?
Hi there,
I just got off the phone with Nike support and they weren't able to help. I'm trying to open the Nike+Connect software, I first get the message want me to confirm that I want to open the application downloaded from the internet, I click "OK", but then I get "The movie could not be opened, the specified file fork does not exist." It seems my computer wants to open the Nike+Connect with Quicktime for some reason. Nike said "call apple".
Any ideas why clicking to open the Nike app isn't working...in twenty-four years of using a Mac, I've never had this problem! Installing is usually very easy. TIA JRS69

How many MB's is the file? How did you get it uploaded to your server?
Without knowing what video codec was used I'm just guessing. The only reason OS 9 would get involved is if you somehow used a very old (OS 9 only) video codec.

I converted from a PC to a Mac Mini. I have my PC documents backed up on a DVD disk. I have an external DVD drive connected to the Mac Mini. I want to open these documents up from the DVD storage and save them to the Mac, BUT....when I put the DVD disk in the Mac is NOT reading it!

Thanks for your quick response. I should add....it worked before. When I previously inserted the two DVDs into this remote drive, and I went into finder, I could click on the "remote device" line and see all my saved documents (excel, word, etc) on the DVD and open them on the Mac. Now I cannot see them, when I try to open them on the Mac, nothing happens, nothing is displayed. I just re-tested the remote DVD drive with a CD and, no problem, it opened up the CD via iTunes and I cold play the CD. SO......I know the remote DVD drive (it's an LG by the way) is fine, it's something to do with some settings on my mini mac,especially where I could open it previously. I do not remember changing any settings since then.
When I go into system preferences and click on CD/DVD it gives me options of how to open up a music CD (default is iTunes), a DVD (default is iMovie), etc. The problem is my DVD is all miscellaneious files/documents. I just want to be able to see them in the finder. I also tried to open them via microsoft word, from the remote disk and again, it could not open the drive, even though some of the documents were microsoft word documents. Again, I was able to open them previously and the DVD is not corrupted in any way.
Any additional advice?

Could be many things
Some details on your system would help
Some possible things - in the system preferences iPhoto oculd be set as a start up program
If you click and hold on iPhoto inthe dock chect to see if it is set as a start up item
Do you have any FAT formatted storage devices on your system (if you do they will cause iPhoto to launch - to stop in the iPhoto preferences set the action when a camera is connected to do nothing)

I am connected to the internet, but all tabs are closed. Now I want to open a new tab, But Firefox pops-up with "Firefox is already running, but not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system". Does anyone here know how to fix this? Thank´s, BL.

A few times a weekFirefox is shutting down windows I want to remain open. Example: I am done viewing one window. I click the X to shut the window and it shuts two windows. Every single time, attempt to close one windows, two windows close. Lately, I have been opening several windows with nothing but google search, just so it will shut that window and not something else I want to remain open. I could understand this if I was using tabs, but I am not. This has been going on for over two weeks. I don't like going back to history to open a window, I did not want closed in the first place. Isn't that what 'Windows' is all about? Any ideas?

The easiest way to use it is to install the 'Real Media' player:
1. RealPlayer BBC.app
2. RealPlayer 12.app
I have both installed & use them sometimes.

i am sick and tired of mac's safari and firefox window popping up when i want to open my mail. what the **** is going on, because no matter where i look i cannot see any 'download' "thing/button" to do so. STUPID, STUPID STUPID!
How can i get rid of this iidiotic pop-up. allple is changing for the worst. you have to buy a new macpro in order to upgrade to a higher system, sounds like obamacare.You have probably clicked on a mailto: web link which directs links to send e-mail messages to wherever the webmaster chooses. Go to the View menu -> Show Statusbar if it available, and then make sure the bottom of your screen is visible. When you hover over a link, if it says: mailto: it will open in your default e-mail reading application set by your browser or your e-mail program preferences.
Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Software Update lets you change how often you see the software update window.

I want to open a project from premiere pro on my mac,the project was edited on a different mac originally.
Some of the sound from the clips are missing and all the clips are there but when go to a clip in the timeline and press enter it is just black.

P.SIt also askes for RENDERED MFX FILES????You may have to go to the original computer and go to the project manager which will let you gather all media to a single folder. Then take that folder to a new computer and edit away.
As far as black clips. If the media IS located but it shows up black during playback this might mean the file is damaged. This happened to me yesterday and when I opened the file outside of premiere it would not play at all. -
