Nike+ Sensor won't connect to my iPhone 3GS (3G S)
Hi Guys,
I've got a 16gb 3GS and have just bought a new Nike+ sensor from ebay (model A1193).
When I follow the instructions to link it i hear "Walk around to activate your sensor" and see the pulsing blue searching logo, but nothing happens.
I've tried resetting my network settings, rebooting my phone, doing a hard reset (sleep+home button) but nothing seems to work.
I've also put the sensor to sleep (by holding the button in for 3 seconds) then waking it up (by pressing the button once.)
Any Ideas?
I had the same problem with my sensor and iphone 3gs. It would work for one workout then not for the next. I called Apple and they told me to go into settings, turn off Nike + then back out of settings, then immediatly go back into settings and turn on Nike+ and link sensor with phone. I did this and it worked but then the next day it was off again on again. I finally figured out the problem, which may or may not be your problem. I was putting my iphone onto airplane mode when working out to save battery life, which was told to do in a CNET article on saving iphone battery life. Well I figured that in airplane mode, all ports are turned off, phone, bluetooth, wi-fi and of course the Nike+ sensor. Since I stopped turning on airport mode it has worked every time. Don't know if either of these will work but it worked for me.

Just bought macbook pro retina. have had iPhone 4s for two years and use it to tether my iPad to regularly no problem. however the macbook pro won't connect to the iPhone via bluetooth. it recognises it's there and a connection code is displayed, but when I enter the code it won't connect and the phone insists that I agree to 'forget this device'. how do I enable tethering so I can use the 3g signal to browse on my laptop whilst travelling please?
Only thing I could suggest would be to "Reset Network Settings" on the phone (Settings> General> Reset>) . Of course, this will forget and delete any saved Wi-Fi or network configurations, but if that's not a problem for you then, maybe worth a shot.
Although saying that, I think iCloud remembers old settings (if you are connected and sharing network configurations), so may not be a total loss. -
Microsoft Exchange won't connect with my iPhone (it's saying the password is incorrect, but it shouldn't be), now I can't delete that inbox on the phone. Help??
Turn off wifi. Use wireless signal. reenter password at settings. This should work. Turn wifi back on if you wish. Wait for next occurrence within hours or days. Have not found a permanent preventive solution. Thinking of replacing my four year old wireless router.

MY home wifi won't connect to my iPhone 4S. It connects to every other device besides my phone! I've tried everything from troubleshooting! It can't find the wifi and when I reset network connections it now won't even let me turn it on! Pleaseeeee someone help this Is driving me crazy!!!!!!!! Thanks!!!
Try erasing your network preferences again from settings-about-reset and erase or something like this and try reconnecting if the problem persists try changing the name and password of your router and if you it keeps not connecting you will have to try restoring your iphone through itunes on your PC.

Trying to connect my replacement Iphone 3GS to my windows 7 laptop but it is not recognised at all, my ipod can connect no problem, my iphone can connect to my windows vista computer no problem. Any ideas?

Not living in US I am indeed able to Tethering Internet with Bluetooth. At least I suppose, because my iPhone asked for it few time but I never did it.
I feel frustrating if the function of Bluetooth on an iPhone is locked to do that only.
Then I would say Bluetooth is much more easy to use for a short document transfer (like a single picture) then Sync which has anyway an other goal.
I find the Sync function via iTunes far from satisfactorily. It still impossible a.e to choose a direction for the Sync function. In consequences, most of the time, some data will be erased though you want to keep it too.
By putting unjustified limits Apple encourage the jailbreak. -
Some songs that I've bought on iTunes won't play on my iPhone 3GS even though they used to and they will still play on iTunes. Anyone know what I can do to get these songs to play on my iPhone again? Please help!
No, I haven't figured it out. And no one from Apple has contacted me to help. Very frustrating. Sure makes me want to not buy music on iTunes and just buy CD's.

Nike+ Sensor needs continous connection?

I'm planning to buy a nike+ sensor. do I have to keep it continuously connected to my device (iPhone 5s) or will it also track my running (soccer) and upload it into my device when I connect it later?

Messages Beta won't connect to my iPhone number
My iphone message app seems to be connected to my iphone mobile number. Messages in beta for my Mac is connected to my icloud (.mac) account. They don't talk to each other - ie, they are two separate accounts, so I can't see threads initiated on my computer on my iPhone and vice versa. How can I make them talk to each other?

Itunes 10.1 Freezes when i connect my 32GB iPhone 3GS
Ever Since i updated my iTunes this morning it freezes when i connect the phone. When i unplug it it comes back. There are times that when i re plug it after a bit it works. My phone was acting up so I decided to restore it. But then i get the same problem again so i couldn't restore from back up. I been trying to figure out the solution to this problem since 7 AM in the morning EST. I been looking around the forums for similar problems but it didn't help. That didn't help either. I been repeating all these steps plus more multiple times and nothing solved it. It just keeps freezing. I even Called out of work today just trying to Fix this dumb issue cause i can't be with out my phone PLEASE HELP!!I'm not sure what's causing this, but it has just started happening to me too. It has been happening with both my iPhone 4 and my wife's iPhone 3GS, but more with the 3GS.
I thought rebooting the machine had fixed the problem, but it happened again this morning.
A workaround that has worked successfully for me is this:
With iTunes not running, plug in the phone. iTunes should then start on its own and start syncing properly. If it doesn't start automatically, start it manually (with the phone already plugged in) and the sync should start. But starting it first and then plugging in the phone doesn't seem to work.
I'm running iTunes 10.1.2.17.

Okay, I think I just got lucky with the suggestion above to plug in the phone with iTunes not running. That's not working for me anymore. What does work pretty consistently (though not always) it starting or restarting iTunes manually after the plug has already been plugged in. This may mean killing it from the task manager if it's frozen, or waiting for the freezing to wear off (which it does eventually, even though it never recognizes the device or starts a sync).

IPad Camera Connection Kit and iPhone 3GS
I just got home with a Camera Connection kit and while it works with an iPhone 4 and even with an old iPhone 3G I had lying around, it doesn't work with my iPhone 3GS, giving me a "The attached accessory uses too much power" error. Both the iPad and the iPhone work normally (and the iPhone's warranty expired 5 months ago). I have already tried to reset settings, reboot both the iPad and the iPhone and still couldn't getit to work. Is there anything I need to know to make it work with the 3GS running 4.2.1?

My volume won't work on my iphone 3gs
Please help... I took my iPhone 3GS to the Genius Bar on Monday because my volume won't work at all on any part of my phone. They said it was dust in my ports and they blew some air in the ports and it worked again. Unfortunately, it didn't last. I certainly didn't get my phone dusty. Any ideas what is going on? Thanks
You can go again Genius Bar and tell them about previous repair attempt, they can check if still same problem, or it was something else.

After I connect my iPhone (3GS 5.0.1) to any Ad-hoc wireless Network then walk away out of the reach of my wifi network, my iPhone can't find any wifi Network afterwards, only by turning off the iPhone completely and turning on again.
switching off wifi and on again or going into airplane mode did't help!
This problem happens only with ad-hoc wifi networks not with normal ones.

Sorry, but the 169.x.x.x IP address is internally generated by the iPod (and iPhone) and indicates that a network has been detected but no IP address has been issued. Your friends iPhone was not connected to your ad hoc network either - it connected to the internet through the 3G network.
You should read through the Vista help screens on ad hoc networking for some insight how this works. You should be able to get some ideas there.
In the mean time, $40 or less will buy you a very capable wireless router with four Ethernet ports and will simplify your network tremendously. Having used Windows ICS for a long time, the addition of a router and a real network simplified things so much. -
I recently downloaded both "Planes" and "Cars 2" from iTunes (available via the digital downloads included with the blu-ray discs of each) and neither will upload onto my iPhone 3Gs. The phone has other movies on it (and has plenty of room for new ones), but for some reason it completely ignores these 2 movies and won't upload them.
If you had a backup from before your old phone died, try using the backup (though if they are different models that probably won't work). Also, under the "Music" tab for your phone, make sure your choices are set so that they aren't excluding those songs. DRM might also be causing a problem. Finally, make sure the songs will play in iTunes and that they haven't been lost or anything. If you see an exclamation point by the song, it means iTunes can't find it. You'll have to manually tell it where the song is.
