Nike+ with Iphone 3G

I just bought a Iphone 3G and can't figure out how to set up my Nike+ that I have been using with my Ipod. Please don't tell me that I have to trade it in for a 3Gs. Help!

This is not okay............. Why won't they enable the Nike+ to work with all devices that are capable of using it? Concerned about people not upgrading to iPhone 3GS? This kind of attitude makes the other competing phones on the market warrant consideration. This is very unApple like. I would have expected this from the old Apple that burned up the first LiIon Batteries and blamed them on anyone else other than their own charging software.
Apple had come so far, why the digression away from making the users the best positive advertisers of your products?

  • Using nike+ with iphone 3gs

I really want to start running with nike+ I have an iphone 3gs and i would like to know what exactly i have to buy to get started?

    1) you need to buy the the thing that fits in the nike show and of course a Nike shoe that supports the sensor - i thinks its $19 US - I know you can buy it from the US Apple store - dont know about Norway - if there is an Apple store you can probably get it there or maybe some other electronics store or buy it online from Mike - the Nike+ software is included in the 3GS so you dont need to get that
Under Settings on the 3GS click on Nike+Ipod and then set it to on (there are some other things you can set) - but setting it to on will cause the Nike+ app to appear on your iPhone - if you set it to off the app disappears
once you have the sensor in your shoe the first time you use the Nike+ app it will pair the sensor with your 3GS - from then on clicking on the Nike+ app will give you choice of workouts you can chose from - when you sync your phone to iTunes (at least in the US) part of the sync process will ask if you want to upload your data to nikeplus.com - the Nike+ app on the phone also keeps a history of workouts - it looks like it keeps the last 5
you can also chose Calibration in the app and then walk around in your Nike shoe for a bit to calibrate the sensor

  • Can I use Nike+ with iPhone 3G??

  • Can you use nike+  sensor with iPhone 5

can you use nike+ sensor with iPhone 5. like the device you place in your shoe. Can it be connected to your phone.

However, you don't need the sensor if you use the Nike+ Running app. It uses the phone's built in accelerometer.

  • Nike+ For iPhone?

My wife currently uses the Nike+ system with her iPod Nano and we're getting new iPhone 3Gs (as soon as the AT&T store gets our order in), and I was wondering if there was any way for her to use the Nike+ system that we already have (for the iPod Nano) with the new iPhone 3G. Anyone?
    Thanks!
    Jim

It also is supported in the iPod Touch 2ndG. It uses a "proprietary low-power 2.4 GHz radio" not included in the iPhone 3G.
    Nike+iPod Won't Work with iPhone
However, the Nike + receiver in the iPod Touch may actually be a BlueTooth chip, raising some speculation that the iPhone 3G could be adapted to use Nike +.
iPod Touch has a Bluetooth Chip.

  • How Can I Use Bluetooth For Sharing With iPhones?

Hello, i have an iPod touch 3rd Gen. 32GB, And I'm Wondering How Could I Share Music or Photos With My Cousin's iPhone (Jailbroken iPhone), When I Turn The Bluetooth On, Nothing Shows Up On My iPod Or On Here iPhone,
So How Could I Share Things With Her I Have ''File Share'' And ''Bump'' Apps
    So what should I Do???

You can't share music over air or by Bluetooth because of several reasons of which is understandable by apple. Apple doesn’t provide any way for you to copy files from your iPod back to your Mac/ between iPods or iPhones. While there are legitimate reasons for blocking bi-directional copying— which again the word music piracy comes to the mind
The only thing that I heard that you could share with iPhone to iPhone/ iPod touch is photos&contacts an app called "bump" and "Bluetooth photo share". With those applications you and your friend can share photos/phone contacts and other kind of files.
    "Bump" application link below:

After ios 8 update I can no longer play music through my car. I have a 2012 Nissan Rogue - which has its own cable made to use with iPhone 4 - I use a apple adapter to converst to use with 5. Has been working fine up until update. Is there a fix for this? The car does not have usb

Here I come to save the daaaaaaaaaay!!!
Had the same issue with my Nissan Rogue 2011.
This listed below will fix it...
Go to General > Restrictions > CarPlay -- Make sure Carplay is DISABLED. (The new IOS 8 enables this on default)
Go to General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
The Nissan Rogue radio system was never designed to work with CarPlay. By default, CarPlay feature comes enabled when you install IOS 8. Suckz, right?
You're very welcome! Have a great day!
    Sincerely,

  • Wrong Photoshop Elements catalog in iTunes to sync with iPhone

    Hi,
I am using windows XP, latestversion of iTunes and Photoshop Elements 5 (PSE5).
I use several catalogs, one per each company I work for, and one entirely for personal pictures. The personal pictures catalog is the one I want to have automatically synchronized with iPhone, however, even though it is the "active" catalog that opens by default in Photoshop Elements, iTunes detects an other catalog and I want to change this so iTunes refers to the correct catalog. I tried restarting the PC after loading the desired catalog in PSE5 and closing it, and iTunes still refers to one of my work catalogs that I don't wish to use.
Any clue how to do this.
I could of course, have iTunes point to a specific folder, export the images from my personal catalog to that specific folder and do so every time I need to add pictures to my iPhone. This involves doing the image export and transfer manually every time, instead of automatically having the desired images added to the iPhone during sync, after they were tagged in PSE5 with the appropriate tag.
    Thanks!

    Hi there.
Thanks for the response. Just to clarify, what is this and where can I find it? Finder Help had nothing to say about it, and Google just led me to this page:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1865
which strongly recommended me not to mess with it.
I really do need to make this old email account go away, I just need to make sure that I don't make the problem worse in the process. Thanks in advance for any help, just want to be extra careful here.

  • I use a bluetooth headset with iPhone 5 but when I ask Siri to read my email she says I must unlock my phone first.  If I take the phone out of my pocket I might as well just read the email then.  Is there a way to fix this?

I use a bluetooth headset with iPhone 5 but when I ask Siri to read my email she says I must unlock my phone first.  If I take the phone out of my pocket I might as well just read the email from the phone screen.  Is there a way to fix this so the phone doesn't have to be unlocked?

Apple, as I'm sure you know, now manage official phone 'unlocks' directly rather than the Newtork doing so.
When a GSM Network Provider buys a consignment of iPhone's they are locked to that carrier and may only be officially unlocked if said carrier requests it. If so, it is Apple who do this, via iTunes.
I am therefore inclined to think that part of the any generic iTunes syncing process involves the transmission of key hardware data, including IMEI, to Apple whenever the handset is synced.
If this is the case and, as each iTunes account is linked to a credit card, were Apple to maintain a database of genuinely stolen phones (ones reported to Police) they could advise said Police force when a stolen phone stuck its metaphorical head over the parapets once again? They would be able to identify the name & address of the new user.
I have spoken to the Police here in Ireland today and they regularly engage with Apple on such matters.
This may not be tracking as we know it Jim, (not using GSM Triangulation or GPS) but it's arguably even more targetted and leaves an indelible fingerprint of guilt on the thief.
The laws here are simple in this regard, if you are in possession of stolen property, knowlingly or otherwise, you forfeit the goods once the Police show up. Whether you get prosecuted depends on whether you stole the goods or were duped into purchasing them.

  • Issue with Calendar not syncing with iPhone 3g

Issue with Calendar not syncing with iPhone 3g.
    Solution
Create backup of your entire mailbox before starting (THIS IS IMPORTANT)
Create offline folder (.pst file) Check windows help on how to do this for your version.
    Open folders view on Outlook
Right click on Calendar in tree view and 'copy to' offline .pst folder
Go back to main calendar view and delete all entries in your calendar.
Create simple cal entry and sync test with iphone
If this works then start dragging cal entries back from the offline folder into the main calendar then sync after each step....
I moved events in this order
    -Yearly recurrences (ie Birthdays)
    - Monthly recurrences
    - weekly recurrences
    - Daily recurrences
All appointments from the beginning of this year >> to the end of time!
If all these sync then the issue is with an older cal item and you have to decide if you actually need these in you current calendar.
I chose to leave these in the offline cal and if i need access them from there.
If at any point the sync fails then you know you have a corrupt cal entry in the block you just transferred. Move the offending items back into the offline folder and try again in smaller chunks until you identify the offending items and delete them and manually recreate them in your real calendar.
Also smart to run the inbox (.pst /.ost ) repair tools for your OS/Outlook version.
    Fixed so far
    XP Pro / Outlook 2008
    XP Pro /Outlook 2003

I just updated the firmware to iPhone 2.0.1 and the syncing works great both ways.

  • Not able to pair my sony DR-BTN200 with iPhone 5S

not able to pair my sony DR-BTN200 with iPhone 5S

    Hello rammail2u.
Greetings and thank you for your message,  in order to connect and pair both devices via bluetooth follow the next steps:
    1. Place the Bluetooth device within 1 meter (3 feet)
    2. Press and hold the POWER button for more than 30 seconds while the unit is off.
    3. Make sure that the indicator flashes in blue and red alternately after you release the button.
    4. Perform the pairing procedure on the Bluetooth device to detect the headphones by going to the bluetooth settings of your Iphone 5s.
    5. When the list of detected devices appears on the display, select the model DR-BTN200 to make the connection.
    6. If a passkey input is required on the display of a Bluetooth device, try using “0000” as reference.
NOTE: Every time you want to pair the devices don't forget to press and hold the power button until a blue indicator flashes on the set. The blue indicator means that the headphones are ready to be paired with an external device, also tells you that the bluetooth function is already on.
