Nikon D40 and/or Sandisk Mobilemate SD+ work with camera connector?

Wondering if anyone has successfully dumped images from their D40, or via the afore mentioned SD card reader, to their iPod using the camera connector. The D40 is not on the list, and no mention of card reader either, but I've read other places that some devices work even though not listed.

Im using the connector with my D40 - but there are some odd quirks that keep poping up. The photos are fine on the ipod when you use it as a HD - but sometimes the photos dont show up under "photo-import"... not sure why. I restored and it worked... occationally you have to hard-boot reset your ipod and then it is ok. download frequently to avoid long 200-photo transfers (try 100 or less). Each D/L will create another roll to browse (even if its the same photos you just D/L'd)

FYI: After playing with the Camera Connector I have been able to connect USB recording gear for use with MultiTrack DAW app on the iPad. The Blue Yeti, Samson's GTrack and Roland's Cakewalk Audio Interface all work for inputting audio. All three have internal headphone jacks which work for monitoring both the input and multitrack recordings.
One caveat with the Yeti: it appears to be almost at the limit of the power that the iPad's USB Camera Connnector can supply. Some headphones and earbuds shut down the mic. Sennheiser HD280 phones work fine, but some of the Sennheiser buds don't.

OK, but seriously, I was at Surplus Computers in Santa Clara yesterday, and they have all kinds of weird parts 'n stuff. I picked up an OLD Belkin Dual USB Media Reader for CompactFlash & SmartMedia (toldja it was old!)
When I got home, I hooked it up and successfully transferred some pix from one of my CF cards. The thing was only ten bucks!!
I tried to look on Surplus Computer's website to see if it was listed there, but no dice. Guess you gotta hit the store in person.

Just discovered today - a Compact Flash Media Card Reader that connects to the iPod Photo (30 gb) with the Apple camera connector. Best of all is that it only costs $15 Canadian.
Thank you to The Source (used to be Radio Shack in Canada) and London Drugs computer department employees who let me bring in my iPod to test on all their Media Cards.
And the winner is:
London Drugs - Simple Perfection Card reader/Writer Model CR-T2-UC. This is a USB 1.1 device that comes with a cable (not required). Supports both Type I & II Compact Flash cards or IBM MicroDrive. Plug & Play.
Procedure - CF card into Simple Perfection. Turned on iPod and plugged in Apple camera connector - iPod reads "Connecting". Plugged in Simple Perfection - iPod reads downloading or some such comment. 2 Menu selections and download begins.
Results/specifications:
Sandisk Ultra II 512 mb card with 100 images totalling 260.74 mb (each image about 2.33 mb) took 9 minutes. These images are 3008 x 2000 in size (Fine). Perfectly acceptable. iPod still at about 3/4 power which is where I started.
Sandisk Type I 512 mb card with 20 images of about 2.33 mb each took 1 minute (very close to 2 minutes). Also acceptable. Same resolution. Still 3/4 power left in iPod which is were I started.
iPod to Mac computer and all downloaded perfectly.
The reverse side of the Simple Perfection case shows that this device is available in 10 countries - sorry but I don't know all the flags - NOT USA but Britain, Australia, France, Japan, Italy, + + +. CD in the package too but I won't be setting up on a computer as I already have card readers on my computers.
By the way I use NIKON 5000, 8700 and D70s (SLR) and all 3 download to iPod with the camera connector - make sure you have PPT enable.

Does iPod Nano work with Camera Connector?

Is the iPod Nano able to work with the Camera Connector? How about the Belkin Camera Connector or Belkin Media Reader?

6GB nano we might see in a year, a 20 GB nano is presently only a fantasy and while eventually possible, we won't be seeing it anytime soon. To my understanding the belkin media reader uses firewire to communicate among other things so no it wont work with the Nano. And of course the Nano is windows preformatted windows compatible.

I dismiss the message, but the remote no longer works with it and the music is too quite to the speakers. The remote works fine with my Macbook Pro. I tried a restore on the iPhone and started from scrach, but the same problem exists.

In the CC Desktop app, click the gear > Preferences > App tab > choose Application Language, then install Photoshop CC
Once the install finishes, Photoshop Preferences > Interface > UI Language, change to French, Restart Photoshop.

First, no, it is not showing orange. I checked the silent button immediately. Then I checked the sounds section of my settings, but all is good there. When I get a phone call, it rings fine. Alert and typing sounds are not working.
Second..., yes this was a technical point (in which I was hoping someone else might have had the same problem, with a solution), as well as a complaint (definitely one worth making as it is not a minor issue - it is important to hear text alerts when you have children).

If iMessage has become deactivated on your iPhone, which, apparently it has, the phone will need to send an SMS to activate it again. Therefore, you'll need a cellular connection.

Try resetting your iPad bu holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen. Let the iPad start up and see of you can connect.
Go to Settings>WiFi>Your network name and tap the blue I>Forget this network. Restart the iPad and go back to Settings>WiFi>Tap your network name, enter your password and tap Join.
Or try Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. Restart your iPad. Go back to The WiFi setting and try to join your home network again.
