Nikon D60 won't upload to iphoto 9.6 Yosemite
When I try to upload my photos from my D60 into if 9.6.1 (Yosemite), all the thumbs are shown, but then the transfer get s stuck. None of the photos will import, and the upload just freezes. It really appears like the RAW compatibility isn't there, even though the D60 is listed in the RAW compatibility for Yosemite
As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?
Post back with the result.

My external hard drive won't upload my iPhoto pics to my mac mavericks
I uploaded all my iphotos onto an external hard drive recently, before I got a cable replaced in my Mac Mavericks (which would have deleted all my files/photos etc.) , but when I went to put all my photos back on to my laptop -it wouldn't let me.
When I plug in the external hard drive, the IPhoto app pops up and nothing else. It then says I need to quit the app and upgrade to the new iPhoto . The only way of doing this is to upgrade to Yosemite which I don't want after reading all the ghastly negative reviews about Yosemite!!
Also no one appears happy with the new "photos" app. One review stating, "it's one step backwards and one step sideways !!!"
It appears that Apple are forcing it's customers to upgrade without options or pushing customers towards the iCloud??.
Any suggestions on how to get my photographs back on my laptop without upgrading to Yosemite or iCloud? Could I install Photoshop Elements and maybe that would resolve the issue?. The laptop and external hard drive only appear to be recognizing the iPhoto app and nothing else. I cannot put them in a file of any sort.I'm afraid your post isn't clear.

Exactly what did you move and how? And how are you trying to put things back. Where exactly does it breakdown?

But this will not have happened unless you also upgraded something else - like the OS for instance. Can you give us the exact error message you get? -
Movies from Nikon Coolpix don't upload into iPhoto
I've been able to get video off my camera into iPhoto with no problems up until a couple of weeks ago. Now, I shoot some video, plug in, and get the Import button - press the Import button - I don't see a "thermometer" going, but then it says Finishing IMport but the video has not been uploaded. I did disconnect without ejecting a couple of times in the past, wonder if my memory card is damaged?

How big are those video files? iPhoto will baulk at larger files. The workaround is to copy them to the desktop and then import them.

My photos won't upload to iphoto says start up disc full
I have been trying to upload photos from new Iphone we took on vacation but will not upload all photos because it says the start up disc is full, any suggestions as to what that means or how to fix?

You need a minimum of 60 to 100G free for correct operation of your internal drive, deletions are unlikely to get you all the way there and then the drive will fill up again.
Buy a large external drive (twice the size of your internal) and move a LOT of files to it.
Everything fills up, even the extraordinarily expensive handbags my girlfriend buys, at their prices I expected them to contain life, the universe and everything .... but they don't -
Iphoto won't upload certain jpeg files from my camera?
i uploaded the files off my Nikon D7000 (not the first time) and iphoto gives me a message it cannot upload certain files (121 of them) as they are not recognized. the images are still on my camera, but won't upload onto iphoto. can someone help me understand?

Is that _DSC format the same as the ones which did import? I'm curious about that leading _

I am shooting with a Nikon D60 on Fine Format and unable to print larger than 11x14. I have been able to print larger pictures. I am told iPhoto reduces the size of the file when uploaded. Is this true? If so how can I change this? I need 16x20's

When I try to upload pictures onto iPhoto, it shows up, however it won't upload. The "import" button, I can't click on it. It won't upload. And when I want to close out the window of iPhoto, it won't close, I get a message saying "photos being uploaded to iPhoto library," but i can't even upload. Suddenly my Nikon Coolpix will not upload on to my 09 iphoto it takes for ever then it just shows blank squares no pics and a message that states it cannot read the JPEG files. Can anyone help me, please. I have never had this problem before.

You could also try reformat the Card with your camera

My iPhoto won't upload pictures to Facebook. It lets me hit share and even choose the album I want to put them in. But when I click share the photos never show up on Facebook. Help?

I have never had trouble uploading albums to fb. But now, they won't upload. If I click on the album on the side bar, it will try but then an error message comes up and says to check login information. I am logged in to fb on my computer. If I click on the album in events, the publish button is greyed out and I can't click it. I have went to the change accounts button, it pulls up my fb without issue, I have logged out and back in several times, but still no luck. Any suggestions?

I meant, "I'm an idiot". It shows up, in time sequence, not at the end of the photostream. I just didn't look back far enough in the stream to see them. -
I have a MacBook, v10.7.5, and I am would really like to connect my Nikon D60 camera to it. When I plug it into my computer through a usb cord it doesn't show up. Not in finder or iPhoto.
I have the software the camera came with in the package, Nikon Transfor, but my computer won't open it now because it's a powerpc app.
1). Am I missing anything I sould have or be doing?
2). Should I just buy a sd card reader?If you look in System Profiler (Apple menu > About this Mac > More Info...> System Report) and select USB, does your camera appear here?

Nikon D60 - Bridge CS3 cannot write Metadata
{This is a follow on to thread: http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.59b6704d/1}<br /><br />It appears that Bridge CS3 is unable to write some of the IPTC metadata to pictures taken with my Nikon D60. When trying to change some metadata in a file I get the message "There was an error writing metadata to <filename>"<br /><br />Strangely this does not happen with all metadata fields. For instance, I can change the IPTC Core "City" or "Location" and the change works just fine. However, if I try changing IPTC Core "Creator" or "Copyright Notice" I get that error.<br /><br />I have confirmed that the problem is with the D60 pictures, as it occurs in two different machines (Both CS3, one Vista, one XP). Both machines are able to edit other camera's pictures OK. All files are in JPEG format, I have not tried anything in RAW format.<br /><br />I did find in a completely different forum (for BreezeBrowser, which I've never used) a reference to a similar problem. At least in that forum they mention that the Nikon D60 uses a "different" way of storing metadata which leads to the problem. BreezeBrowser will release a new version to address this issue. <br /><br />Any idea what the solution might be for Bridge and other Adobe products?<br /><br />Thanks!<br />Carlos
I don't have my camera with me at the moment, so I'll have to shoot in NEF later. However, just for kicks I downloaded the latest version of ACR and checked against my current version. It appears to be the same (same size, same timestamp). I even replaced it, per the instructions with the download. No love.
As mentioned in my original post, the issue is limited to a few fields, in particular "Creator" (XMP) or "By-line" (IPTC). I went and added new data to this field using ExifTool. I added it to both IPTC and XMP fields since I know Bridge synchronizes them. The change took, and Bridge noticed it. But now Bridge will not let me modify any XMP/IPTC metadata. It won't even let me change the rating of the file!
I'm really at a loss here. I've searched through other threads and haven't found anything to enlighten me. -
I need some help probem solving as to why my I photo book won't upload to be printed by Apple. It keeps saying there is an error at the very end of the upload and asks me if I want to retry or cancel. Considering the hours spent creating the book and the fact that I can't transfer it to a different file, I seem to be stuck. Ideas?
What version of iPhoto and of the OS? Is the print products country in the advanced iPhoto preferences set correctly ?

IPhone 3Gs Won't Mount In iPhoto 9 After iOS 6.0 Upgrade
Just upgraded my iPhone 3Gs to iOS 6.0 and now I it won't mount in iPhoto 9.
There is a phone icon but no name and photos don't preview for upload.

I have it working with full capability.
Steps I followed:
1 Start with power off iPhone and car
2 Connect phone to USB cable
3 start car turn on stereo select iPod input
4 power up iPhone
5 radio identifies iPhone. Says to reconnect
6 power down car disconnect iPhone
7 restart car and connect phone
All works great! -
I'm trying to upload photos form my D800 into iPhoto. Doing via a card reader and a CF card. iPhoto recognizes the camera, shows the photos on the preview pane and then when I click upload, it won't upload any of the photos. I'm running all the latest software and have 16gb of RAM on a late-2013 iMac.
And then it lists all the photos on the card.
The first file name is "DSC_4037.JPG" and then it goes for 338 more.
Try, if Image Capture can import the files. Perhaps the card is no longer readable and needs reformatting.
Also, try a different USB port or reading directly from the camera.
