Nikon D90 Not loading as a Device....Help?!

I have a Nikon D90 and I have photoshop, lightroom, and iPhoto, and the camera will show up as a device in these cameras. But when I try to just find my camera in finder under devices it does not show up. I want to be able to open the photos in Preview and delete the photos I do not want to download to iPhoto or Lightroom. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Sometimes loading the camera directly into the computer isn't as advisable as just using a digital camera media reader. Many printers these days have those built-in, and Sans Disk sells quite a few digitla camera media readers that are Mac compatible. You may find that using such readers may automatically launch a photo application. If it does, you need to change your Apple menu -> System Preferences -> CDs and DVDs preferences for loading a photo media device to launch the device in the Finder.
The advantage of using such readers is that your battery is not wasted on your camera, and usually those media readers have faster transfer rates.

Web Pages not loading on Mobile Devices

Browsing web pages not working on mobile devices
I have bt inifinity 2, from my laptop and mac (with same wifi connection) webpages load no problem, from my android tablet and iphone (with same wifi connection) web pages not loading. On these devices I can load youtube videos, and apps have connections/load data, it seems to be limited just to browsing webpages.
I have tried changing ssid for the 2 channels, I have tried disabling wifi on the router, and using apple time capsule as the router, everything seems to result in the same problem, you cannot browse web pages on mobile devices.
previously i had adsl from bt and didnt have these issues.

Website's browser fill does not load on iOS devices.

I've checked this on several different iPads & iPhones with similar results. Works and loads correctly on android devices and different desktop web browsers.

So the background fill is the issue not the welcome page. Here is a screenshot of how it should look like on my iMac; It is an image I've used as the background fill for the entire site. It's been used within the A MAster. However, on iOS devices as you can see from your own screenshot, the background does not load and is gray.
Also on "The Shop" page there is nothing off to the left side other than a compostion widget I've used with scroll effects to achieve a 100% pagewidth slideshow. HEre is a screen shot of the the entire page with everything selected. I am willing to provide you with my .muse file so you can investigate more/

Firefox not loading in my passwords, help?

I had to do a complete restore on my laptop due to a power outage corrupting parts of my hard drive. Anyways... I copied over my key3.db and signons.sqlite files from my previous firefox profile. When I did a new install of firefox I went to the profile folder and copied these files over to the new profile and told it to overwrite the old ones. Well Firefox is not loading my passwords, it's also not remembering passwords either.
I copied both the files everyone says to copy yet it didn't work. Help?

Did you check that you are remembering passwords?

Anyone having issues today with icloud mail not loading on any device

anyone out there haveing mail to load on all devices today.

Hence the reason I have three accounts all with diffeerent providers. If I am doing anything crtical, I request replies on all of them. I find it much easier to delete the two extras one rather then not getting anything at all.

Itunes 11.1 will not load apple mobile device

Hi
I downloaded i tunes 11.1 yessterday after upgrading my devices to iOS7.
Initially 11.1 would not load stating errors were causing a rollback.
I managed to get 11.1 loaded but now, no devices are recognised.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled itunes 11.1 but no joy as after checking, I no no longer have Apple Mobile device listed anywhere in the common files.
I have tried to download and install each individual part of the itunes package which is okay until i try to install just the Apple Mobile device part whereby again, it just loads then rolls back stating errors.
I have run registry cleaners after this and again tried re installing...nothing.
It seems after looking here that i may need the Mobile device driver but, I cant seem to find, let alone be able to load it on my laptop...
Has anyone got any ideas please, as after three hours of trying, its starting to get just a little annoying now??

I have already tried deletng everything which is by Apple from the pc and reinstalled i tunes....
Unfortunately, its still the same

My Email Will not load... HELP!

I am semi new to owning a mac. But for the last few months I have been accessing my email through Mail. I recently updated my iMac and now my email will not load. It just says loading.... I do not know how to fix this. Is anyone else having this problem? Please help if you know how... thank you!

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
*Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
*Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Sony Shake 5 not supporting my usb device; HELP

My new Sony Shake 5 (LBTSH2000) does not support my usb device (ipod classic); please help! Dirk.

Is there any error message on the screen when you tried using your iPod classic? Have you tried using just a standard USB device and see if that works?

IPMI kernel modules not loading - no ipmi device

My HP ML110 G5 has a IPMI device that worked but somewhen (I can't say when) it stopped working.
Proof that they exist in th machine with dmidecode:

I quite soon found out that the ipmi kernel modules are not loaded so I tried to load them with modprobe:
modprobe ipmi_msghandler
modprobe ipmi_devintf
modprobe ipmi_si
no error, no response, no modules loaded (check with lsmod).
There are descriptions (http://en.onoclea.com/bits/hp-microserver-remote-access-card-ipmi-on-linux.html, http://wiki.adamsweet.org/doku.php?id=ipmi_on_linux) how to load the ipmi_si module with manual parameters. Tried, no error, no response, no modules loaded (check with lsmod).

Does the PKGBUILD generate any errors? Did you check /usr/lib/firmware for the firmware for your wireless? Worst case, you could probably try running b43-fwcutter manually and see what it does. Maybe it has some verbose/debug option you could use, too.
The firmware is installed to the correct directory and the PKGBUILD doesn't generate any errors. I've tried b43-fwcutter manually as well to no avail. Even if that were the case though it doesn't explain why the new kernel also rejects the usbnet, ath9k, and b44 modules. Basically I'm stuck on this old(ish) kernel until this is fixed if I want any sort of network connectivity.

I do not have a separate boot partition on this machine. And the mtime of the initramfs images is certainly current.

W540 will not load from SSD, need help

I just bought a W540 (windows 8) and extra SSD to replace the original HD in W540.
I have created a recovery image in windows 8 to my 16G USB flash and disabled intel rapid storage.
I put the new 512G Crucial MX100 SSD into the machine, and use USB flash drive to reset the laptop.
After the reset process was finished, I took out the USB flash drive, but the laptop will not load windows from my SSD, and the laptop did detect my SSD.
I am wondering if I did something wrong? I took out the SSD and put it in to my desktop, and I did see files were written into the SSD, but W540 will not load it,

It does not give any info if the Recovery Media actually formats the drive in GPT mode, which is required for UEFI boot, in which case you might have to re-format your new SSD and re-install it with your recovery USB, which you're probably required to boot in UEFI mode as well. I have only installed Windows 8 in UEFI mode with an original retail DVD, and to achieve that I had to boot the DVD in UEFI mode.

Photos not loading on iOS devices - frustrated iCloud user!

I have uploaded 20,000 pics and movies to the cloud - a big step to spend EUR 99/ month for an online service! But I cannot view the photos on my devices when o click on the,. The little clock gets stuck at a quarter -and just stays there. Same thing on iPhone, iPad and MacBook Pro. also: when I finally get some photos to download to good quality, it seems as if it rapidly uses up all my memory on the phone and iPad. It tells me to go manage my storahe settings all the time although it is already set to Optimize storage'. when I then go to settings and browse around (since, no idea what to do to further manage my storage (guys I am already payingEUR 120 a year - I should not need to manage anything anymore) I generously get 85Mb extra storage... Sometimes I can't even film a movie since my storage is up... C'mon. I am so close to shifting to Dropbox or other. This new photos/iCloud thing is seriously flawed! When I Google for help I only get articles from 2012. Am I the only one out there with the same problem?!!

I'm having the same issue with Remote on iPad 2 (6.1) talking to iTunes 11.0.2 (26). Works fine for controlling music on the Mini but radio stations just won't load. Will show the radio station currently playing but the screen below shows only Loading...

Pages Not Loading..? Help!

Okay, for the past few months, the internet has hated me. Various sites refuse to load for some reason. A few for example would be Amazon, Ebay, Google Video, Youtube, GameWinners BestBuy, and a few more. I've tried resetting the router, and that's not working. I've reset Safari, tried a few other browsers, but, still, for whatever reason, these sites won't load. They will load a little bit, (for example, Amazon will load the pages, yet fail to load any images, and fail to load any more than 11 out of 72 items).
Works fine on my computer at school, but not here. As for eBay, it will just give me a white screen. On those two sites the only way to progress at all is just to Stop it so I can at least proceed to another page.
I've called my ISP, and they've said it's a problem on my end. I have a Linksys, which I've heard is high quality, and an AirPort card, so I'm thinking the problem lies in the computer itself.
I live far enough from anyone soo I dobut people are 'stealing' my connection to slow it down.

I've got the same problem. Amazon and Ebay won't load, although they used to load fine. I always use Firefox, but when that didn't work, I tried Safari and IE. Those pages won't load through any browser. And, to make things a little more tricky, they load perfectly on the other two computers on my home network.

Windows will not load or install, PLEASE HELP SOON

I turned on my computer today and it said:
Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:
\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM
I restarted and it worked fine.
I then turned it on again later, and got the same message.
After re-seating the cables, cutting the power, trying to start in safe mode, etc, etc, I decided to try a repair.
The repair just got stuck when I pushed '1' for C:\WINDOWS. It just did nothing after that.
I tried to reformat. I put in the Windows XP disc and it loads up and I push F8 and it says "Searching for previous installations of Windows...". It did that for about ten minutes with no HDD activity until I finally shut it off.
Could ANYONE help me with this??? I am in college, and need to use this VERY SOON. It is 8:42pm RIGHT NOW and I need help BADLY. If at all possible, I would like to re-install Windows rather than reformat as there are some very important files that I need to back up before I can do a full reformat.

You haven't said anything about your system configuration, or whether it has had previous problems. This information would be helpful.
Make sure that the boot drive is correctly indicated in the bios. If you have more than 1 hard drive, I would temporarily remove the second one (assuming the OS is on the first drive). I've noticed that Windows Repair install seems to easily get confused by the disk configuration with the Neo Platinum. This would also help if your power supply is marginal (if you diconnect the power as well).
A helpful thing to have would be a Knoppix cdrom. this is a cd bootable version of Linux that can be used to inspect your hard disk contents, and key files such as the boot.ini file etc. Also, if Knoppix runs, you can have some confidence that key system components are functional.

My Safari is not loading YouTube correctly, please help.

Starting on January 15th, 2009, my Safari no longer loads Youtube.com correctly. The homepage looks bizarre, and not like it should. The other links on the page all have similar issues. I have below two screenshots to help visualize what I am trying to describe:

Have you tried resetting Safari? You can do this via Safari menu > Reset Safari...
Also, is there a reason why you aren't running the latest versions of OS X and Safari? OS X 10.4.11 comes with Safari 3, and the latest updates to 10.4.11 now take Safari up to 3.2.1. The latest versions can be obtained by running System Preferences > Software Update
