Nikon P7100 Profile

I'm looking for the Lens Profile for my Nikon P7100.   Seems like this one should already be done and included with Lightroom 4, but I don't seem to be able to locate it.  Any help please?

Add: I just checked and there is no profile available for the P7100. Unfortunately, nobody created one so far, so you'll have to do it yourself.

  • Nikon Camera Profiles - LR6 CC

    Hello,
Today I took a few photos and noticed in LR6 CC that not all of the photos have the Nikon V2 profiles available.  Some photos do and some do not.
I'm not sure why?  Shouldn't the v2 profiles be available to all photos ?
Is there something I am missing?

You can download the V2 beta profiles for the D700 here: http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/2010/03/new_nikon_d3_and_d700_camera_v.html. These are the ones I use with my D700.

  • Nikon p7100 raw support.

I have no problem importing raw files but I would like to know if the P7100 "profile" in aperture does automatic distortion correction and automatic chromatic aberation correction the same as the build in jpg engine in the camera.

    Sort of just venting.
    If it helps
You can get an idea, of the time for the raw support to be released by looking at the Apple Support Downloads  page: http://support.apple.com/downloads/.
Enter "Digital Camera RAW Support Update" into the searchfield, and you will see how frequently new raw support will be released.

  • Nikon P7100 noise in Lightroom

I uploaded the Camera Raw update for a new Nikon P7100 to Lightroom 3 on Mac 10,7,4, but when the pics come up they're extremely noisy. When converted from RAW to jpg the noise remains.
No problem with JPGs. Same pics from the camera in RAW are fine on the Nikon viewer, so it seems to be a Lightroom mismatch.
    Any advice?

From my experience, it's not a miss-match. But most of the time, camera applied some level of noise reduction into the file. Thus the preview image or the jpg out of camera will look fine. LR just discards most of the camera setting in the raw image. So you have to apply some noise reduction in LR. Nikon viewer can view jpg imbeded in the raw file. LR cannot.

  • Lens Profile for Nikon P7100

Looking for a lens profile for my Nikon D7100.  The default in LR 4 comes up with a P6000 and a different lens than my P7100.  Where can I find user developed profiles or those available from Adobe for download?

  • ACR Nikon D3X profile not listed

Hi I have Adobe Bridge CS6 v 5.0.2.4. I've been using this for a few years with my Nikon D2 series cameras. When I open up a RAW file from one of these cameras, I have a choice of camera profiles for Nikon D2 cameras in the camera profiles drop down menu. No problem. However, I've recently added a Nikon D3x to my kit. When I open up a RAW file from this camera there is no profile listed in the drop down menu in ACR. I've checked on the Adobe RAW compatible cameras list and the Nikon D3x is confirmed as compatible but says I need a minimum of version of 5.3 camera raw plug-in for the D3x. When I check for updates from Adobe Bridge I'm told that I'm already running the most up to date version. Can anyone please advise how to resolve this? Thanks

Hi ssprengel and JimHess, ACR version 8.6.0.254. No when I open a RAW file from my D3x there is no profile for this in the drop down menu only Adobe Standard, a list of my D2 cameras and modes 1, 2 & 3 and portrait, landscape, vivid etc. No D3X. I'm just wondering if I'm missing something, should I be loading up the profile from somewhere? or should ACR recognise the camera automatically. What's puzzling me is that the Bridge/compatible cameras list says I need a newer version of Bridge than the one I'm currently running, but I don't know how to get it. The return on the 'check updates' tab says I'm running the most up to date version. Funny thing is I had one of the support people look at this via the chat service, eventually they asked me to send a RAW file from my camera so that hey could check it at their end. I got an email back later that day confirming that they couldn't see the D3X profile either, case closed..BTW, just to clarify, I have Bridge v 5.02.4 x64 . My version of ACR is 8.6. Thanks for your help, apologies if I'm missing something simple

  • Request a Nikon lense profile for ACR 6.1?

I apologize if this should be posted somewhere else. I did not think the feature request qualified.
I am using a Nikon D80 with a 'AF-S DX Zoom-NIKKOR 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED' lense and it is not in the current list of profiled lenses in ACR 6.1 RC-1.
Is it possible to request inclusion of this lense in the database, or is it just too old or not professional enough?
If not possible to include, can I assume that I need to build my own profile?
I do own a copy of PT Lens which has the profile, so not a huge deal - but; I would love to stay in ACR and then go direct to PS.
Running current PS CS5 on Mac Pro (Early 2008) and OS X (10.6.3).
Vanilla installs of all software other than the ACR 6.1 RC (only third-party PS plug-ins are current versions of PT Lens and Photomatix Pro).
Thanks for any info, or a shove in the right direction for posting.

Thank you for responding and I certainly understand.
I really want to thank all the Adobe employees and other experienced individuals who are helping us. It is very much appreciated and a breath of fresh air compared to some other big company forums where responses from employees are either extremely rare or non-existent.
I am enjoying PS CS5 and know all the small bugs will be worked out in time and the features we depend on will receive the polish they deserve (or at least that has been my experience since PS 6).
Thanks again and I will either use PT Lens in the interim or perhaps see what I can do with the profile creator.
Love the new additions to ACR!

  • Nikon D3 Profile "Camera Landscape" sometimes shows ugly violet cast

    Hi
Lightroom 2.2 with Camera Profile for Nikon D3 "Camera Landscape".
RAW images with a deep blue sky and some yellow/orange cast render in LR with an ugly violet cast.
Has anybody else also seen this behaviour. Apart from that, I am very happy with the profile "Camera Landscape", but for this kind of images, it is not usable.
    Any ideas?
Has anybody else observed the same?
For an example, follow this link:

    >RAW images with a deep blue sky and some yellow/orange cast render in LR with an ugly violet cast<<br />
I raised this issue at the time of the Beta 2 introduction. I my case the problem was a violet tinge introduced into grey areas of D3 NEF files. Adobe asked for examples which I submitted, and which they acknowledged had a problem.
Nothing was altered in the final release - which for the Nikon D3 at least is identical to the Beta 2.
As it happens I was not too unhappy as I can - and do - continue to use the Beta 1 Camera profile as my default. And funnily enough I never experienced highlight posterization issues either then or now.
I did however wonder - for a very little time - at the introduction of the final release, just how much of a "Public" Beta these were.

  • Nikon lens profile for LR4

    does anyone have a lens profile for a Nikkor 24 - 85mm 2.8 - 4 D lens or where I can get one?

  • Nikon Camera Profiles (D700)

    Hi,
When the D700 was brandnew I downloaded and installed camera profiles. Since then I use Camera Standard beta 2. I now upgraded to Lightroom 3 and I guess these profiles are now an official part of Lightroom. And here my question: How do I get the official profiles? Are they identical to the "beta 2" profiles? Are they better? There is something called "Camera Standard" and "Adobe Standard" in the camera calibration drop down menue.
    Thanks and greetings
    Stefan

You can download the V2 beta profiles for the D700 here: http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/2010/03/new_nikon_d3_and_d700_camera_v.html. These are the ones I use with my D700.

  • I cannot find a profile for Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR

Hi, I have tried to download a profile for my D3100 kit lens - Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR but cannot find it in the Adobe Lens Profile downloader.
Adobe says that it is supported (two years ago: see it at this link from October 2010    http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/2010/10  )
Since it is listed many places as being supported, it is frustrating that I cannot find it in the Adobe Lens Profile downloader.
Am I doing something wrong? Or can I download that profile without using the downloader.  Can I use the lens profile that is shown with a different camera.  I see similar lenses under D300 and D90 in the folder with about forty NIKON lens profiles (but only two for the D3100). However, under Lens Correction when I tick Nikon as model then I only see about seven lenses in the drop down list.  How can I see the full contents of the folder?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks
PS.  I was going to ask where the profiles are stored but luckily I have found them after a search.

I too would like to see this lens profile added to the list in Lightroom, in addition to the Nikon DX AF-S DX NIKKOR 55-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR. I've found a similar version of the 18-55mm under the D40, but not for the D3200, and I haven't been able to find any profile matching the 55-300; only 55-200.

  • Nikon RAW = NRW for P7100 missing

The new Nikon P7100 apparently uses another NRW-format as the "older" Nikon P7000. The actual versions of iPhoto and Aperture (under Lion) are not able to open these files ! Adobe Lightroom users are provided at the start of the camera with an RAW-update. It is not the first time that Apple developer for Aperture and iPhote are sleeping very well !

Adobe Photo Shop has just released updated RAW specifications that support NRW RAW format for the P7100.  That means you can work around by going to Photo Shop or Photo Shop elements to do initial RAW processing and then back in to Aperture with a compatible format.
Although the NRW format is larger, than even the previous Nikon NER RAW format, there is more information that adds flexibility to opening up the Dinamic Range of a shot withour having to do the full monty HDR shooting process and offers other post production flexibilities.  That means that you can open up the stop range for highlight and shadows a bit more without inducing noise prematurely.
The only reason for shooting RAW in any format is to capture as much "unprocessed" sensor information as possible.  Converting to DNG or any of the Photo Shop formats to one that are useable by Aperture defeats that purpose and by inference makes the point for just shooting JPG Fine resolution if you want to settle for Aperture's limitations.
Of course that reduces the fexibiliy of post production image processing and makes Aperture less useful as an appliccation for serious advanced amature or semi pro use.  Actually Aperture might be falling behind the latest iteration of Photo Shop Elements.
It is clear that Apple's Aperture Team does not follow the old Hertz phylosophy of if your Number 2 you have to try harder and be faster.  Seems likke the Apreture team is comfortable with number 2.  Sound a lot like MobileMe which by our lost Steve Jobs "was not our finest hour."

  • LR lens profile for Nikon P7000?

I cannot find a profile in LR 3.3 for the Nikon P7000.  The P6000 comes up, but no P7000.  3.3 supports the NRW files from the P7000.  Can anyone give me a hand?
    Thanks very much . .
    Jack

Your computer has the same operating system as mine so there shouldn't be an issue with file paths being different for that reason.
You should only see the P7000 lens profile when you edit RAW/NRW files, not JPGs.  Please confirm that when editing an NRW from a P7000 you cannot locate a "NIKON COOLPIX P7000" profile in the list (at the bottom of about 50 Nikon profiles) when Nikon is selected as the "Make".  Also confirm you do see a screen-full of profiles, not just one or two.  Do this in LR 3.4 RC.
Please locate the P6000 lens-profile (.lcp) files that you can see in the list on your hard drive using Windows Explorer and the paths given, earlier.  If you can't find them, please be specific about what part of the path does not work or what part of the process doesn't work.  If you don't understand some part of these instructions for locating the lens-profile files, say what part.  Saying you cannot find them is not enough information.  By locating the Nikon lens profiles we can verify if the file are missing or if something else is wrong.  I would also like to see the dates of the profile files to understand how long ago they were installed.
You should be using the start-menu/start-button and opening Computer (or My Computer), then copy-pasting each path, in turn, to the address area and hitting Enter or perhaps click on the right-arrow at the right end of the address area.  If copy-pasting the full path in the address area doesn't work, try part of it and add the foldernames one-by-one until you can't get to part of it and say what part that is.

  • LR 5.3 missing camera/lens profiles

Just came back from the camera store after testing out the Nikon Coolpix P7800 and Sony RX100ii.
Imported the RAW files into LR 5.3 to compare the image quality of the cameras.
I noticed that I could not assign camera and lens profiles to the photos. I currently have a Nikon P7100 which does show up in the drop down list and have had no problem doing lens corrections for the older camera.
I thought the P7800 and RX100ii cameras were added in the latest update. Am I missing something?
    Thanks for any suggestions.

Using the new ACR 8.4 RC, the Sony RX100M2 seems fully supported, but the Nikon Coolpix P7800 seems barely supported.
These same conditions are present in LR 5.3.  The only thing new in ACR 8.4 RC is the indication of a built-in profile being used.
    RX100M2 - Built-in lens profile & several camera profiles:
P7800 - No internal or external lens profile & only Matrix as camera profile:
