Nikon s4100 HELP
Is any one elses camera take dark images, if so how did you fix it. It was fresh out of the box taking blurry and dark photos, even with the flash on... is this a defect or can someone tell me how to change the resolution, which i have tried but i dont know much about it to make it correct.
I NEED OF HELP ASAP.
Im very disappointed in the camera and would love to make it everything id hoped for in my xmas gift from my mom

Hmm....
are the batteries fully charged?
do you have the camera set to "under expose"?
what happens if you view the pictures on the computer? Could the LCD brightness set to be "low"?
are you spot exposuring?
does the manual say anything about a factory reset?
Otherwise, yes take the camera back to the store and check with a sales rep.

Please help with my Nikon S4100!!!
I've had my nikon less then a year and it wont charge via wall charger or computer. i also tried my back up battery and it wont turn on or charge with that battery either. yes the batteries were installed correctly AND I even took out the memory card as I saw some other forums mentioned to do so without any luck. We bought it from best buy about 9 or 10 months ago so I don't think they will do anything about it since I didn't buy insurance on it. UGH. Any other way I can troubleshoot this to get it to work?
I would try seeing if the charging cord is bad. Other than that you may have to send it to Nikon for repair. I think the Coolpix have a year warranty, but dont quote me on that. (edit, they have a year warranty according to their web site)

Importing RAW files from Nikon D810 help
Photoshop Elements 12 will not import RAW files from Nikon D810. Why & help?

Support for the D810 has only just been released in camera raw 8.6 but a version for PSE has not so far been released.
My suspicion is that Adobe are about to announce a new version of PSE and may not provide support for the D810 in PSE 12 - but I could be wrong.
For now, the only thing you could do is to download the DNG 8.6 converter and use that to convert your NEF files to DNG files. Then PSE 12 can use the DNG files.

Can not import nef files to lightroom 5.6 with Nikon D750, help?
Just bought Nikon D750 and tried to import nef from camera to lightroom 5,but couldn't find files. Afterwords I upgraded to lightroom 5.6, still noughing.

HT4101 Lost all Photos while Using Camera Connection Kit to Nikon D70 -HELP!
After using with my Nikon D70, the photos are not on my camera - says now incompatible file format. And they cannot be seen on iPad. on iPad there is a gray box that says 'jpeg' in it. Where are my photos? Can I get them back?
You can't export any type of files using the camera connection kit.
There are some wireless external hard drives that can be used with the iPad.
The Kingston Wi-Drive, which costs $50 for the 16 Gigabyte, and then $30 more for every 16 gigs more. It works by you turning it on and then accessing the files on it from an app that you download on your iDevice. You can access music, movies, and other stuff. No connections or anything, it works like a WiFi connection, you connect to it from the setting on the iPad under wireless networks.
Then there is the Seagate GoFlex, which some would recommend over the Wi-Drive. But this one costs $199 and had 500 Gigabytes of storage. It works the sameway as the Kingston: no wires, runs over its wireless connection. You can actually fit up to 300 HD movies on it.

Elements 6.0 won't open RAW *nef files from Nikon D40 - help!
I tried to open *nef files from a D40. Even though I selected RAW files in the open file menu, AE6 gives me an error message and won't open the files.
How can I get these files to open with AE6?Hmm, that usually indicates that you need to get a newer version of the Adobe Camera Raw plug-in. But according to this tech note:

the D40 needs at least ACR 3.7. PSE 6 ships with 4.2, so you should be able to open them.

As of a few days ago, I can no longer import photos from my Nikon Coolpix s7c into iPhoto '08. Never before had a problem. I sent a request to Nikon for help and they referred me back to Apple. Help, if possible, please.
As the photos imported to the test library you know that it works with your version of iPhoto (so, you can skip the paranoia about Apple making you upgrade). The issue then is the Library, so
Try these in order - from best option on down...
1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
2. Download <a href="http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/"><b><u>iPhoto Library Manager</b></u></a> and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new *iPhoto 08* library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Events and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
In the iPhoto Preferences -> Events Uncheck the box at 'Imported Items from the Finder'
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Event Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption. -
Iphone4 camera gives only 3.2mp jepgs
The cameron on the iPhone 4 claims 5mp but all the photos taken so far come in at 3.2mp. Is this a fault or normal?

Yosemite not compatible with camera or transfer software
I don't think this Yosemite fully functioning. With Mavericks I was able to connect a USB cable to my computer and the file just popped up. Now due to this upgrade it is not recognizing my camera. Can someone please help with a solution. I went to Nikon but there was nothing there that discussed upgrading due to Mac's Yosemite upgrade. I connected my Sony camera and everything uploaded just fine. I don't know why I'm having these problems when I connect the Nikon. Help please

Unless your Nikon uses the same cable that the working Sony uses, try another Nikon cable.
Also, be sure you have installed the latest OS X 10.10 RAW update, currently Digital Camera RAW Compatibility 6.01.

Hi can anybody help please. I am having terrible problems trying to use my Nikon D7100 to tether. I have downloaded the latest Lightroom updates and also checked my firmware which is also the latest avaiable and still Lightroom wont detect my camera!. When I use a friends Canon camera it works every time!

HELP FAST! Need to go to my wedding-Lightroom 4 does not recognize Nikon D800 files
I try to import my d800 nef files and Lightroom does not recognize them and will not import. I looked on the site and it SAYS it supports them but nothing. I looked for a raw plugin but when I clicked the link it would not go anywhere. HELP! I don't want to shoot my wedding with this camera if LR can't support it and I have to return it to the camera store FAST if not.

But the question is about Lightroom. And Lightroom doesn't use any version of ACR. Lightroom 4 is somewhat compatible with ACR 6.7, and fully compatible with ACR 7.x. ACR 6.7 will read Lightroom 4 adjustments when an image is transferred to Photoshop, but it will not provide access to process 2012 sliders in ACR. -

Lightroom does not recognize the raw files (necs?) coming in from my Nikon AW1. It loads them as jpegs. I know it is possible to update Lightroom so it knows my Nikon but I can't get it to work.

I just recently downloaded and installed photoshop cs6 and the highest camera raw update i have is camera raw 7 and my camera (NIKON D610) requires camera raw 8.3 i've updated the camera raw plugin to the highest thats available in the software update but i read that camera raw 8.3 is now available but i can't seem to locate it on the internet or adobe website to upgrade my camera raw plugin to 8.3. can someone please help me and show me where i can find a download link for camera raw 8.3 thank you for taking the time to read this and your help will be greatly appreciated.
Why not update CS6 to use ACR 8.6? If CS 6 menu Help>Updates does not update ACR to 8.6 try downloading the update manually and inst stall it.
