Nimbuzz not working on Nokia 5130 Xpress Music

Hi guys,
I'm Mandaar from India. I have problem with running Nimbuzz (or any other chat application for that matter eg. ebuddy messenger or trutap) on my 5130 Xpress Music. I use a Vodafone GPRS Plan.
I would like to inform you guys that all the other applications like GMail App, Google Maps etc work fine for the same connection.
Kindly help me out !!!

GPRS is working fine on my nokia 5130XM. i have access to the internet. (I received those settings via a txt message from my mobile service provider (mobitel))
My problems are,
1)Can we install Yahoo Go on 5130XM?
(i tried,but on yahoo site,it says use ur default browser to download Y!Go which(a default browser) is not available on 5130.(only OperaMini))
2)How to Setup a Yahoo e mail account on "Messaging" menu
(When im trying to access my Yahoo email address,it says "Username or Password incorrect" though i hv entered my username and password correctly)
(like this i cannot use "IMs" on "Messanging" menu too)
I know these services(email,yahoo messenger) can be used by simply log into internet using the builtin OperaMini browser in my 5130XM. But why we cannot setup those E mail and IMs features so easily. I searched on almost every site related on these settings. But i couldnt find.
Please help!!!!!!!

I have CA-101 data cable got with nokia 5130 xpress music. I have installed pc-suite 7.1 on win xp sp2. But the driver installation is failing with the error "Can not install hardware " - "Nokia 5130 XPressMusic USB Phone Parent".

uninstall pc suite - then reinstall and restart the computer
after restart the phone will register correctly
If you don't restart you get that sort of error.

Unfortunately, the Nokia 5130 is a feature phone (a.k.a, a "dumb" phone). Firefox will currently only run on smart phone devices that operated by Android.
Firefox is compatible with Android 2.1 and above devices with hardware requirements recommending at least 512 MB of RAM.

[Help] Nokia 5130 Xpress Music Video Problem

Hello Guys i saw their are many pros here who can really help me.
I have problem with my nokia 5130 xpress music. When i try to play video i can listen sounds but unable to view the video running or sometimes it hangs after that i have to hold red button to stop music player. This is happening from two days. Please Help me

Obvious that u cannot Play a VIDEO file with .wma since it is a AUDIO format (Windows media audio)
The thing which u r referring to should be ".WMV" which is Windows Media Video

Not Enough Memory [Nokia 5800 Xpress Music]

Hello,
i have a nokia 5800 xpress music mobile phone.
recently, i've been facing an error while trying to change my ringtone from the profiles
when i tap on the screen on the ringing tone tab in general profile (or any other profile), an pop-up tells me the following "not enough memory to display all ringing tones, only read-only memory tones will be displayed"
then, when i tap again , the ringing tones menu open but for sure not listing all of my music files !!
i thought it's a firmware problem, i updated my 5800 to the latest v30 firmware, but the problem still persists.
please, feed me back

take out your memory card and consider the first two options. make sure you have a back up and read carefully
1. *#7780# - Restore factory settings - resets all the settings to the default ( you will not lose any data)
Make sure you back up your data as you will lose all of it when you perform option 2 or 3 on this list. The default code for ALL operations listed here is 12345
2. *#7370# - Reformat your phone (out of the box, tho keep in mind that most newer nokia phones at least n series, e series and s60 based phones have udp - user data preservation so not ALL data may be lost. still it is a good idea to always do a back up of your stuff.)
3. This you perform as a last resort. Nothing else is working.If the phone is not showing any activity, proceed with hard formatting , turn off your phone, hold the following buttons while pressing the power button. (the default code is 12345)
hard reset - hold the following buttons *, 3 (number button) and talk/green key. turn on the phone and do not release those buttons until you see the Nokia boot up screen. once you feel the phone power up you can let go off the power button while still holding all three buttons ( for Nokia 5800XM - use the following buttons to do a hard reset, GREEN/RED/CAMERA keys pressed all at once on power up. this will only work on 5800's that have firmware version 20... and up. ) For Nokia N97 (unofficial version but works) is SHIFT /SPACE BAR / BACKSPACE while holding the power button. Again do not let go until you see the handshake screen.
If these codes are not working the only thing for you to do is contact your Nokia Care Center/Service for assistance.

GPS not working on Nokia 5630 express music

I am unable to use GPS on my Nokia 5630 xpressmusic. It gives me error "enable satellite based positioning method first". This option is not available in Nokia 5630. Kindly assist.

You really need to utilise a Bluetooth GPS receiver as network GPS is not accurate enough for usage with Ovi Maps.

but i am not able 2 connect to the instant messaging option(IM)

gprs on a mobile phone can be used in either wap browser or opera mini browser.
A) wap browser have no particular look i.e when u press "0" for 2 seconds, then a wap browser with a default home page of your operators page will open.
B) opera mini is the nest one which you are already familiar with it. nokia recently decided to give opera as a pre-installed browser for the upcoming devices. but even though we have a chance to install newer versions of opera from the m.opera.com website as per the handset .

   comparing to gmail, yahoo have more security issues. unlike it undergo all security related issues passed then only yahoo works fine. so, because of this reason, your are unable to get through it. but you can set gmail,ovi under the messaging menu .
nextly, nokia 5130 will need to have some settings form the nokia to get IM chat running.( here operator settings is not sufficint).
   but when i surfed the nokia.mobi.com from the mobile ; it says that "your phone not supports IM chat, check later. new phones will be added frequently" .
   anyhow , in the future ..more options wil be available to this mobile... in my view 5130 is more for s40 and less for s60.

Nokia 5530 Xpress Music firmware update not findin...

Apparently theres a V20 update for the nokia 5530 Xpress Music phone, but when i look for updates for it. it says latest firmware is V11. So how do i get this new firmware version, because ive been getting alot of problems with version 11?

HELP ON NOKIA 5530 xpress music

hi, i am new user, and just buyed 2-3 days back a new nokia 5530 xpress music, and i am not happy with it, the main problems are
1) earphone problems - the earphones are not good i mean i got the white color earphone still the sound in it is so bad that no bass in it, simple voice with low sound, also buyed a new earphone but same problem. i hate that
2) music player- well the music is very low as compared to samsung corby pro. this is xpress music but has not much sound where else samsung corby pro has more and better sound than us wat the hell.
3) battery problem- well the battery life as told music can be played upto 27 hrs, and talktime 4 hrs, and standby time, huh ( ALL FAKE). i yesterday rechraged my xpress music fully at around 4 pm, and i dint listen to any music, was just msging my friends and talk to someone for around 30 mins and then was just msging and msging and i stoped at around 12 am night, i saw my battery and its almost down i was shocked and suprise that battery only worked for around 8-9 hrs wat the hell grrrrrrrrrr. at 1 am the battery was at 1 point i mean i am so disappointed i felt like kicking the phone out my balcony. and ya when i recharge my battery it recharges in almost 20-25 mins that too full charge i mean i dont understand y is it happening like that

1. I use in ear earphones and the music is great
2. Music quality on the 5800 is better than the corby pro whose distortion levels are quite high. If we are talking of volume, that is another matter. volume is not equivalent to quality. I am not sure if you are just not using good enough earphones or what, but the presets on mine has a difference on the songs. I can hear the difference. I also listen to songs at volume level 3. So I really think its your earphone which has a problem.
3. These battery life quotations are maximum. Same goes for almost any brand. Music lifetime quotations are impossible to reach in real life. I could tell you how to get 27hours music on your phone but I can assure you, you wont do it.

Nokia 5220 xpress music

my phone model is nokia 5220 xpress music and the problem is it is not turning on properly it is showing main screen for a single second and then switch off again.what should i do.can u help me.

Remove the battery for a couple of minutes..insert and swithch the phone ON.. Check for any difference.
Confirm that the Battery is fully charged (..Keep the phone on charging for about 10 minutes, Keep the charger connected, and try switching ON..)
If these doesn't work, get the device inspected at Nokia Care..
Note that a Hard Reset that does trick in such situations can not be performed on your phone as being an S40 Device...

Problem with Nokia 5800 Xpress Music

Hello. I have a Nokia 5800 Xpress Music for about a year now and been taking great care of it. I don't know why but a while ago it started freezing at times when i would try to turn on the camera..had to multiple times restart the phone and remove the battery in order to make it work (In the open applications menu it would show the camera running but you wouldn't be able to use it). Then i noticed that the two touch buttons it has in the main screen (dialing and phonebook shortcuts) wont work either, no matter how many times i press them nothing happens. Same goes for the Green and Red button on the left and the right side of the phone (Accept/Decline buttons), they won't work either when i'm on the main screen (wallpaper), they do work in the main menu though. I tried resetting my phone to manufacturer settings but nothing happened. What is wrong with my phone? Can anybody help me with it very please?

When you say restored "factory settings" I don't know whether you mean that you backed up essential data then keyed in *#7370# followed by 12345 (default Nokia lock code unless altered by yourself); I would remove any memory card first and see if any difference before restoring device.

GPS adapter for Nokia 5530 Xpress Music

I bought a Nokia 5530 Xpress Music a few weeks back, and today I bought a BlueNEXT GPS bluetooth adapter (901S). It pairs, but it can't connect to any satellites. Any help, please?

1)brush up your english
2)reinsert the battery after 2MIN
3) try rest factory settings-pass 12345 if it doesn't work ...try hard reset *#7370*(makesure you do a backup 1st)
4)pray really2 hard that #3 works

I know that is my fault but i getted some viruses on my nokia 5800 xpress music! I do not know the type of the viruses but all i know is that is eating my memory! Even if i erased all things, i still have at sis aplications to much memori in phone so i have 0 kb memory in C at phone! Can you help me? I tryed to put again the software but i only get a new version on it or the same version and the viruses remain there! Help me please because I started to miss my phone...

Do this:
A hard reset (x6, 5800 and 5230 only) is done by the following (warning, this deletes all data on your phone):
1.) Turn off the phone and remove battery for 5min
2.) Reinsert battery
3.) Press and hold the green, red and camera buttons. DO NOT LET GO.
4.) While holding the three buttons, press the power key to boot the phone up.
5.) Keep on pressing until you see the country selection screen.
A correctly done hard reset would show you that everything on the phone (contacts, messages, calendar entries, etc) would be deleted. So it is advisable to back them up. Upon restoration, do not restore settings or files if possible.
Also, format your memory card. Just make a copy of your songs and pictures on your PC.

Nokia 5610 Xpress Music - Problem with Application...

Hi all..
I have a problem in my Nokia 5610 Xpress Music.
I can't access Applications! When I enter an application, a message says:"supportive file. nothing to display". However, I can enter some of the 'Applications' from the 'Go to' button in the stand by screen. My 'Calculator' has disappeared from my Organizer.
If anyone helps to solve this problem, it would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Most of us here are just nokia users like you or anybody else who asks a problem here and seeks a solution.We are not professionals,and only try to help others.
Now, in this present case: For an instance,The calculator has disappeared. It is a part of firmware which cannot be edited.If it was a symbian phone then there was a possibility of developing a patch.But, with s40's the only option you have is to go for an firmware upgrade,if you can do it by yourself then well enough.Otherwise you need to visit the care center where you can get your firmware updated or get a stable firmware which has a calculator.
