Nitro (Nalperion Service) patch - 7/8 [32,64]

My T530 Windows 7 arrived with Nitro trial software, which I uninstalled from the Control Panel. Now Lenovo System Update shows critical update Nitro (Nalperion Service) patch - 7/8 [32,64]. Details: version 6.3.9.1, No previous version installed. I tried to install it but it downloaded and couldn't install and prompted my for a manual install. I checked Services and I have Nalpeiron Licensing Services (yes it shows misspelled). Should I do the manual install or should I ignore the update and click 'Do not show this update'?
Solved!
Go to Solution.

Nitro is a .pdf related program... it includes a .pdf FILE CREATOR, making it much more than simply a .pdf "reader".   For example, when I go to "print" a file, one of the "printers" installed on my PC is NITRO PDF CREATOR... and by "printing" there, it generates a .pdf file (on disk) rather than sending the file to a "real" printer.   That file is saved... and can then be viewed with any .pdf reader program (Adobe, FoxIt, Sumatra), can be e-mailed or otherwise transferred to friends and/or colleagues, and of course, hard-copy printed whenever desired.

  • Component Based Servicing patches

    It is well documented that offline servicing/patching of the operating system can only be performed with CBS (Component Based Servicing) updates.  What does not seem to be well documented is what updates are CBS compliant.  Does anyone have guidance
    on obtaining a list of CBS or non-CBS updates?  It would be preferable that this not require downloading the update to make the distinction.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    To use this feature, navigate to Software Library ->
    Overview -> Operating Systems – Operating System Images, select the Image that you wish to update, and click
    Schedule Updates from the ribbon.
    On the choose Updates page, you can select the updates that you wish to add to your image. The list only contains updates that meets the following criteria:
    CBS Updates
    The updates must be deployed in the ConfigMgr 2012 environment.
    The updates have not been applied to the image file.
    For a complete description of the settings mentioned above, check out this article:

  • BO XI & CR product and service patch version number

    hi,
    anyone know
    (1) how to find out the product & service patch version number matrix for BO XI and CR ?
    e.g. I found from my BO XI that the version is 11.0.0.748, but don't know any service patch has applied.
    can find a list like:
    BO XI => 11.0.xxxx
    BO XI R2 => 11.xxxx
    BO XI R2 SP1 => 11.xxxx
    CR XI => xxxx
    etc.
    (2) can a CR report created by CR version 11 be run in BO XI R2 ? what is the compatibility of BO XI and CR ?

    Hi Eddie,
    Adding more: how to get which all versions of BusinessObjects and Crystal Reports is installed on server or on client?
    1. To get to know about the Service Packs for CR and BO:
    -  Go to Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs > here you will get the list of Crystal Reports and Business Objects Product along with the Service packs and Fix Packs  too.
    However if BO has MHF or CHF then this information you will not get in Add or Remove programs.
    2. about which MHF (Monthly Hot Fix) or CHF (Critical Hot Fix):
    For BO:
    Go to My Computers > Installation Directory: \ Program Files > BusinessObjects Enterprise 11.5 > Patch Folder (inside this folder you will get the details)
    For Crystal Reports:
    The information on what updates have been installed in Crystal Reports XI Release 1 can be found in C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Crystal Reports 11\Patches\History.txt.
    Hope this helps you.

  • Service Patches

    I have a few questions about service patches for Crystal Reports.
    Where do I find them?
              So far I have located SAP Support which seems to list service patches for my Crystal Reports 2011 but nothing for 2013 other than noted.
    Should I find additional service patches as the 2011 listing, showing 10, do they need to be installed in order or can I move to the latest and only install that?

    Hi John
    To update CR 2013, you will have to contact sales and they will give you a link. Ph: 866-681-3435

  • Self Services Patch Level for ESS 600 with ERP 6.0 Stack 14

    Does anyone know what the note number or where I can find which level of XSS 600 patch should be used in conjunction with ERP Stack 14?
    There is a note for XSS 100 (note: 761266) that explains what I'm looking for, but it only covers XSS100 not XSS 600.
    Thanks,
    I always award points.

    Not exactly what I'm looking for.  This note only describes the business package, which I'm not concerned about, I'm more looking for which XSS patch to use with the EA-HR sp level on the ECC 6.0 system.

  • Service Patch

    Hi Gurus
    I need small clarification
    IN R/3 if you  go to system  -
    > Status -
    > view in Software Components in that SAP_BW  ( Release ,level and highest support package )  is same as what we see in SAP BW system  -
    > Status -
    > view . under SAP_BW Software Componet
    Please clarify me if i'm wrong
    Regards
    Rajeev

    Hello Rajeev,
    I am not sure that I understand your question.
    If you check the data you mention using the path you give below then it shows the data for two completely different systems, so the bw information you see in the R/3 system  and the BW system are for two completely differnt BW system unless of course you have the R/3 and BW sytem installed on thr same box.
    Kind Regards,

  • Creation of LDAP User for Discoverer Web Services

    Hi all,
    this isn't a Discoverer issue per se, but I couldn't find where to post this in other forums.
    After installing the web services patch for Discoverer (5648158), I need to create a bipublisher user
    in OIDDAS right? However our installation seems a bit ***** up. So I need to do it from the command line.
    I found some instructions in: here
    and created the following bipublisher.ldif file:
    cn=bipublisher,cn=users,dc=company,dc=com
    objectclass=top
    objectclass=person
    objectclass=inetorgperson
    objectclass=organizationalperson
    objectclass=orcluser
    objectclass=orcluserv2
    objectclass=orclUserProvStatus
    givenname=Web
    userpassword=oracle123
    displayname=bipublisher
    orcldefaultprofilegroup=cn=sr_users ,cn=groups,dc=company,dc=com
    preferredlanguage=en-US
    sn=Services
    orcltimezone=Europe/Athens
    mail=[email protected]
    uid=bipublisher
    orclactivestartdate=20080612000000z
    cn=bipublisher
    orclisenabled=ENABLEDthen inserted the entry with:
    ldapadd -h my.host.com -D"cn=orcladmin" -w oracle123 -v -f bipublisher.ldif
    However when I try to login in the web services from Discoverer, I still get invalid credentials
    Any clues? Thanks
    PS I'm talking about the login web service method, not the basic web authentication. I am past that.

    Nevermind, it seems the server was just a bit slow to take the new account under consideration.

  • XP Service Pack 3

    I have been using FM version 6.0 under Windows XP service pack 2. An operation I perform regularly is to copy and paste an excel spreadsheet graphic into a FrameMaker document. This worked without any problems until I installed XP SP3 after which any attempt to paste into the target document just produces an empty frame. It is still possible to drag and drop or to copy the graphic into a Word document so it is being copied to the clipboard OK - it seems that FM can no longer paste it. I have checked this on another computer with SP2 and it works as expected. I suspect MS have crippled yet another feature in their never ending quest to fix 'security' problems I was not having. Short of un-installing SP3, does anyone know how to get my trusty FM software working normally?
    Thanks

    Thank you, Arnis, for your recommendation. I tried your solution, and it works. However, the lines and text in the PDF version are not as sharp as they were in the original AutoCAD LT drawing or the OLE2 object. Also, we prefer to embed images in the FrameMaker document. When graphics files are linked by reference, multiple graphics folders and the FrameMaker documents folder must always maintain the same file location relative to one another to preserve the links. Our archival system does not always preserve this relationship; sometimes, they misplace graphics files altogether. When we reopen the FrameMaker book, gray boxes are displayed in place of drawings and error messages complain about missing files.
    I found a solution that works for now--until the next Microsoft service patch. Use Paste Special and select Metafile to embed the drawing as a Windows Metafile (WMF format). The drawing is scalable, and the lines and text are as sharp as the original AutoCAD drawing. I do not know if this solution will work for David's Excel spreadsheets, but it's worth a try.
