  • Install of Headstart 6.5.3.0 for 9i on Linux

    I am installing Headstart 6.5.3.0 for 9i. Our application server is on Linux. The installation and migration documents all seem to assume that the mid-tier application server is on Windows.
    What needs to be done in order to install on a Linux application server from a Windows client?
    We currently develop our applications on Windows then transfer our forms and libraries to the Application server and recompile. Just not sure what all needs to be on the application server to fully take advantage of Headstar

    Dan,
    This is a quite common development architecture. If you have your forms server running, than deploying a Headstart application is no different from any other application. If you also want to configure the headstart utilities, administration and foundation application, then you need to configure some Aliases in your forms90.conf. If you use the latest release (6.5.3.0 for 9i), there some sample configuration files in the Environment_Setup/9iasr2conf directory.

  • Installation requirements - Headstart 6.5.3.0 for 9i

    Hi,
    In the installation guide: INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR ORACLE HEADSTART 6.5.3.0 for 9i, one of the requirements is : Oracle 9iAS infrastructure 9.0.2.0.1.
    Is it really necessary to have the Oracle 9iAS infrastructure or is the Oracle 9iAS Forms/Reports services enough ?
    Thank you,
    Chad.

    Kiran.

    Hi ....
    Have you done the Roll up ?
    Since aggregates are there on that cube....until and unless you do the roll up that request will not be available for Reporting...

  • Request for reporting  available icon is missing !

    Hi,
    I have an infocube which has been uploaded by ODS and the data load was successful.
    But--
    The request for reporting available Icon is missing in the request.
    Prior to this dataload, yes there were falided requests which i had deleted before uplaoding it self.
    Why i am not seeing the icon?
    Raj

    Hi Raj,
    If you are using BI 7, then in the mange tab of the infocube check in the extream right ....
    otherwise it should appear...
    if you are talking abt ODS then you might have missed the step to activate data in ods.
    hope this helps..

  • "Request for Reporting available " is not displayed after loading the data.

    Hi
    A DSO feeds the data to a cube and DSO. In dso reporting sysmbol is present. However in the cube "Request for Reporting available " is not present in the manage tab of the cube.
    Please advise on this.
    Regards
    loyee

    Hi,
    What is the status in Monitor. If it is ok, go to manage of the infocube,
    in that screen on the menu, Environment --> Automatic Request processing. Then you will get three check boxes.
    Click the first check box, (Set Quality status to OK). If you aggregates,  choose second box.
    Hope this helps.

  • Longer time for Material Availability check while creation of prd order.

    Hi guys,
    I am facing a weird problem while creating production orders thru CO01.
    I enter the component and plant and I am also using the forward scheduling option.
    for some reason, SAP is taking a long time for material availability check when I hit the release button.
    Sometimes its taking more than an hour. Its happening with few specific BOM's, and I have checked the master data but I could hardly find a problem in master data.
    Can someone suggest me some tips ??
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sashivardhan

    Hi,
    Please check the Availability check control maintained for Components it should be 01 or 02. Also check the issue storage location maintained or not. You can maintain issue storage location in BOM in Status/lng text tab in Production Storage Location.
    Hope this will help.

  • Is there an external camera for ipad1 available and does it work with 4.3.5?

    Is there an external camera for ipad1 available and does it work with 4.3.5? Really hoping to get facetime going on my ipad

    AFAIK, no one makes an add on camera for the iPad1.  If selling your iPad1 and buying an iPad2 is out, then you can use Skype on the iPad1.  Although the other person won't see you, the iPad1 will receive Skype video so you can see them, if they enable their video.

  • Problem: Out-of-memory condition? : waiting for an available stack

    Hello,
    I'm evaluating jrockit and trying to run in ita java application that I normally
    run with the Sun JVM on WinXP.
    After a few seconds I get the message "Out-of-memory condition? : waiting for
    an available stack".
    I'm running it on an Intel machine, WindowsXP 392Mb RAM.
    I have played with different GC options, heap, stack size, native/thinthreads
    but it always stops around the same point. When I turn -Xverbose:codegen on I
    can see that it's trying to compile a method in my own security manager. The message
    is something like that:
    [codegen] 500 84732 5169 de.irt.mhp.security.MySecurityManager.checkRead(Ljava.lang.String;Ljava.lang.Object;)V:
    7583.59 ms
    [codegen] 500 84732 5170 de.irt.mhp.security.MySecurityManager.checkRead(Ljava.lang.String;Ljava.lang.Object;)V:
    7583.59 ms
    [codegen] 500 84732 5171 de.irt.mhp.security.MySecurityManager.checkRead(Ljava.lang.String;Ljava.lang.Object;)V:
    7583.59 ms
    [JRockit]Out-of-memory condition? : waiting for an available stack
    It looks as though it's in a loop.
    This is the code for this method (the super class of the containing class is SecurityManager):
    public void checkRead(String fileName, Object context) {
    try {
    if(context==null) {
    super.checkRead(fileName);
    } else {
    super.checkRead(fileName, context);
    } catch (SecurityException ex1) {
    // If a file in the persistent storage is accessed we need to consider additional
    MAC/DAC possibilities
    ServiceDomainIdentifier sdi;
    sdi=ServiceDomainIdentifierManager.getInstance().get(fileName);
    FileSystem filesys=(sdi==null)?null:sdi.getFileSystem();
    if(filesys!=null && !filesys.checkReadPermission(fileName)) {
    throw ex1;
    I also use many native methods in different libraries.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Sibelius

    Hello Staffan,
    Thanks for the info. I had v1.4.1_05 and I have now installed v1.4.2_03.
    Unfortunately, the error still happened at the same point in the code, although
    much earlier on, but this time no message was displayed. It was just stuck there.
    However, I changed the code a little bit (I put the catch block in another private
    function) and now everything works. I'm writing the different snippets down. Perhaps
    it would be interesting to find out why it behaves this way.
    So, can you tell why this code won't works?
    public void checkRead(String fileName, Object context) {
    try {
    if(context==null) {
    super.checkRead(fileName);
    } else {
    super.checkRead(fileName, context);
    } catch (SecurityException ex1) {
    ServiceDomainIdentifier sdi;
    sdi=ServiceDomainIdentifierManager.getInstance().get(fileName);
    FileSystem filesys=(sdi==null)?null:sdi.getFileSystem();
    if(filesys!=null && !filesys.checkReadPermission(fileName)) {
    throw ex1;
    But if I write it like following, it works!
    public void checkRead(String fileName, Object context) {
    try {
    if(context==null) {
    super.checkRead(fileName);
    } else {
    super.checkRead(fileName, context);
    } catch (SecurityException ex1) {
    myFunction(fileName,ex1);
    private void myFunction(tring fileName, SecurityException ex1) {
    ServiceDomainIdentifier sdi;
    sdi=ServiceDomainIdentifierManager.getInstance().get(fileName);
    FileSystem filesys=(sdi==null)?null:sdi.getFileSystem();
    if(filesys!=null && !filesys.checkReadPermission(fileName)) {
    throw ex1;
    Thank you!

    Just do not expect perfection. The conversion depends a lot on how the PDF was created.

  • Best practice for highly available management / publishing servers

    I am testing a highly available appv 5.0 environment, which will deploy appv packages to a Xenapp farm.  I have two SQL 2012 servers configured as an availability group for the backend, and two publishing / management servers for the front end.
    What is the best practice to configure the publishing / management servers for high availability?  Should I configure them as an NLB cluster, which I have tested and does seem to work, or should I just use the GPO to configure the clients to use both
    publishing servers, which I have also tested and appears to work?
    Thanks,
    Patrick Sullivan

    In App-V 5.0 the Management and Publishing Servers are hosted in IIS, so use the same approach for HA as you would any web application.
    If NLB is all that's available to you, then use that; otherwise I would recommend a proper load balancing solution such as Citrix NetScaler or KEMP LoadManager.

  • Bex apps for Iphone available?

    Hi experts,
    I wonder if anyone knows if there are any apps for Iphone available, that can be used för executing BEX queries or web templates. Please note that I am NOT interested in apps for SAP Business Objects, as we do not have this application.
    BR,
    Niclas

    It works, but there's limitations from what I've seen.  Certain portal functions don't work well in general outside of internet explorer, and same goes for WAD objects.  I haven't seen any acknowledgement of what does and doesn't work, but it's worth playing around with.
    In our scenario, I can tell you that we can launch reports via an internal Google Site, pass credentials via single sign-on, and render web reports on the iphone.  Drop down menus don't work properly, color condisitons don't show up (same in Firefox), but lots of things do function properly.

  • Has anyone else discovered that their MacBookPro has been set up for 'no available users' and so cannot use any new applications?

    I've had my MacBook Pro for several months. Sadly I've not been able to use it for my work (I'm a  writer) as I couldn't open my software, Final Draft. I installed it several times, uninstalling it each time to avoid glitches, but every time I tried to open it I had an error message, that the permissions had to be reset. I went onto disk utilities and did everything I could to reset/repair. I spent days and weeks on the phone both to Apple and to Final Draft, but no one could help.
    Apple were adamant that it was a software error and so today I bought yet another version of Final Draft (£140), this time from the net, and downloaded that. Same old same old. Once again, over and over,  I followed the  'trouble shooting permissions' advice on the Apple website, still no luck. Finally, finally, tonight, a technician was able to take me through an obscure routine which ended up with the message that my laptop had been set up with 'No Available Users'.
    In effect it's a useless piece of metal and has been from day one.
    Thanks, Apple.
    Anyone else had a laptop set up for no available user?

    I'm not sure that I followed everything, but you got a replacement phone and continue to experience problems? It sounds like a logical move would be to have AT&T replace your SIM card. I would doubt that the size/fit is an issue, these things are a standard size, but replacing the SIM will have an impact on the network set-up that might be the root cause.
