NLE Equipment suggestions *post house guy's, please*

Over the past 3 years or so, I've seen a few posts here that dealt with, '...if you could put together the best Apple-FCP system what would be included?' I've found these threads fascinating and enlighening... As a 35+ year editor, I'm amazed at the level of sharing that goes on these day's in this artform -- that's not 35 years old, that's as a editor, and I don't use that term likely. As an editor in the 70's-80's distinguishing between editor and technical director was pardon the pun, a "blurring thing to do"...
Well, here's that question again, this time, from me....
Take into consideration these final delivery products, WITHOUT owning a digiBeta deck. AND, audio layback done by pro's ELSEWHERE, i.e., outsourced [I've been around long enough to know; have the audio guy take care of THAT] not on the concerned system I'm looking to build...
I've built 2 complete component analog post production suites (in an other lifetime), taking on something like that at this time of my life would be utter foolishness (for all intents and purpose; their gone -- a simple NLE editing work station (hence no need for a server, yet), although it presents its on set of unique problems, I can handle...
This sytem will not be used for outside clients - purely in-house.
Delivery formats: DV, DVCAM, HDV DVD and eventually HD
ALL work will be broadcast spec, does that mean it will air? The client does not towards external distribution, other than the internet which includes streaming video.
Most source material will be generated in-house, initially DV/HDV
Graphics app's: Illustrator, PS, PainterIX
Compression app's: ?????
The best G5: (A serious eye on the quad - any nightmares out there?)
Monitor[s] for G5: ???????
External RAID: FW800 Array ???????
RAM load (consider extensive use AAE - Motion usage)
Digitizing card/rachmount [if necessary] device, something simple to use (I'm getting older) actually, I'm to instruct 2 tech savey college age art students in the use of the system...
Computer Monitor: ??????
Output Monitor: NTSC 16:9 & (cheapest HD[V] monitor)
VTR: Sony UVW 1800 component BetaSP [on hand], DSR-11[on hand, and ???????
Audio: Simple 8x2 stereo board w/phantom power (voice overs, scratch track and VideoTape footage audio.
anything else ???? I won't be using a systems guy - I'm THAT guy -- I want the system to work right out of the box, well, after FCP Studio app's are loaded....
Nomenclature for suggested equipment would be helpful -
I'd sure appreciate post house editors to comment as well as those long-in-tooth...

Thanks for the info and of course the understanding, althought I am sure someone official browses it now & again my main aim was to get this out there. I had an issue a while ago with EA sports regarding their FIFA 15 game, to cut along story short I was incorrectly banned from their servers for apparently botting so I couldn't play online. Their customer service was diabolical, pretty much on par with this. After some research I found out they were the voted the worse company in the states so that said it all. After being passed from advisor to supervisor to manager and back again everything fell on death ears. So through Google I found as many sites & email addresses as possible and posted/sent my argument. It got as far as the EA president where it was all sorted and I was heavily compensated. If I hadn't of done that though I'd still be banned from their servers.  Will do exactly the same with this case, as everthing goes throught to someone as SKY in the UK it should be a dam sight easier than getting a reply from EA Canada etc.
