German language patch fot 11.5.10.2 EBS
Hi All,
Can you please let me know the German language patch for 11.5.10.2 EBS version.
Thanks,
Venkat.I want to get german language in my Instance. What patch i need apply for German language. At present in my instance i have English and Arabic.Hi,
The best method to add language in existing instance is using the translation sync patch.
Please follow the Note 252422.1:Requesting Translation Synchronization Patches for steps to follow and also you need to check the DB characterset ( it always recommend UTF8 to support multi-language)

How to enable NLS languages after installation in R12 and 11i
Hi,
We were having a R12.1.3 with NLS supplement media with us. We have installed it on on one of our development server.
We have selected 14 languages at the time of installation. And after installation when the login page appeared , we were able to see all the languages but only English is enabled.Rest other languages were disabled.
Question 1: Steps to enable rest of the languages in R12 and 11i environments. Is there any relation with localisations?
Question 2: How patches(one off , mini packs, family packs and maintainence packs) are applied for this type of environments.
Detailed Steps required.
Question 3: If only India localisation is in use do we require to apply patches for other languages as well at this point of time.
Question 4. How CPU patches are applied for this type of enviroments.

We have selected 14 languages at the time of installation. And after installation when the login page appeared , we were able to see all the languages but only English is enabled.Rest other languages were disabled.12.1.3 does not come as a fresh installation media pack (12.1.1 does!).
Question 1: Steps to enable rest of the languages in R12 and 11i environments. Is there any relation with localisations? You need to add those languages via OAM -- Please see old threads for similar discussion http://forums.oracle.com/forums/search.jspa?threadID=&q=NLS+AND+R12&objID=c3&dateRange=all&userID=&numResults=15&rankBy=10001
Question 2: How patches(one off , mini packs, family packs and maintainence packs) are applied for this type of environments.
Detailed Steps required. You will have to apply the US patches as well as NLS patches (for all installed languages).
Question 3: If only India localisation is in use do we require to apply patches for other languages as well at this point of time.If other languages are installed, then yes. Otherwise, you can just go with the US patches.
Question 4. How CPU patches are applied for this type of enviroments.Same as any other installation except you have to consider applying the NLS patches for the application patches (Database and Developer/OracleAS 10g patches remain the same).

Multiple Templates Selection When No languages patches are applied
Hi All,
I am looking for the best approach to translate the .rtf templates into different languages when no languages patches are applied.
Regards,
Nagesh Manda.there are both "Upload to Flickr" and "BlackMug" apps in App World, for both of those services, they should work.
In your screenshots, the middle one, if you select one image, and then tap the second image, does it DE-select the first selection?

I'm not aware of any being for sale and if there are it's a scam. bash is free software provided to Apple and many other computer software developers.
If you are still running Snow Leopard and you feel the need to patch bash, you will have to compile it for yourself.
Note that Apple is on record as saying:
The vast majority of OS X users are not at risk to recently reported bash vulnerabilities," an Apple spokesperson told iMore. "Bash, a UNIX command shell and language included in OS X, has a weakness that could allow unauthorized users to remotely gain control of vulnerable systems. With OS X, systems are safe by default and not exposed to remote exploits of bash unless users configure advanced UNIX services. -
In order for the process flow in OWB to function, I had installed Workflow 2.6 from Oracle 9i as instructed and the installation was successful. But when I tried to deploy my process, I got the following message 'RPE-02072: Oracle Workflow NLS language ZHT has not been enabled in the Oracle Workflow repository. Please enable using the Oracle Workflow wfnlena.sql server-side script.' I found the wfnlena.sql, but how do I enable it? I tried to execute wfnlena.sql, but I didn't know what parameters should I enter. Please advise.
ThanksI figured it out and executed wfnlena in owf_mgr. But I don't remember that I have changed to ZHT language during installation, why would it ask for enabling it?

12.1.3 NLS Help Patches
Hi,
After upgrading from 11.5.9.2 to 12.1.3, we are applying 12.1.3 online help patch 9239095.
Where can we find the NLS help patches? Can we merge the nls help patch with generic help patch?

Asian language support for Nokia E7
Hi,
I cant view any web pages in other languages except english in E7.I cant even install anyother fonts in E7. Can anybody help me to view and type in other languages, and to install other fonts?
Solved!
Go to Solution.dear nokia,
i live in greece and baught the e7 on a journey in Essen, Germany. At the time i had Anna and i asked to have the greek language and so i had.
yesterday i downloaded Belle and while everything is ok and the phone seems nice and fast with good shortcuts, i noticed that the greek language is no longer available either as writing neither as phone language.
the most weird thing is that all my contacs are in greek and so does the messages!
since the phone understands greek why is it that i cannot load a greek writing language patch?
at the local Nokia Care Point in athens kifisia they asked me for 16euro to load the Greek language witch is a huge disappointment for me since there is not a single warning for this problem when you load Belle via the computer.....
the least you could do is first warn for the problem and while working on new language packs
make the operetion FREE of charge from every nokia center!
you made this happen so you are the one to blame and ultimately you are the one that has to pay for this! or you are just going to lose clients who are dedicated nokia "fans" like me....
and something else... we are not talking about a nokia 100 here but for the top of the line E7, THE communicator phone, with an asking price of over 400 euro when new....
thanks for your time and i hope you anwser.

Hi list,
I have installed a database as a repository for EMGC installation , my enviroment is German ,ie i will support databases with german languages, so the
nls_language is German and nls_charachterset is WE8MSWIN1252 of the repository database.
My question does this make any problem because the nls_language of the repository expected to be American and nls_characterset AL32UTF8 ?
what made me confused is that on our old system with EMGC 10g we have the nls_language of the repository is American and nls_characterset AL32UTF8 so i want to know which langauge and characterset to chose.
DV version 11.2
Windows 2008
Best wishes
Edited by: welo on Jan 10, 2011 1:34 AMDuplicate thread. NLS language of repsository
I have not seen any recommendation on db char set for OMS repository database. Refer to MOS for relevant support notes (e.g. as mentioned the install guides).
Please close this and continue in the proper forum, where you first posted. -

AAC/MPEG-4 support patch for abcde
I got bored to day and made up this patch for abcde that adds support for AAC using the M4A extension.
It uses FAAC as the encoder and also patches abcde to version 2.2.3
I have not tested it yet so bear with me...i'll post my test results later.
You'll have to manually add the "M4AENCOPTS=" variable to the config
usage is: abcde -o m4a
UPDATED: fixed a plethora of typos
another side note is the fact FAAC must be compiled with mpeg-4 support, the Archlinux package for FAAC isn't, so therefore this could be a problem unless you compile FAAC yourself. I submitted a feature request to get mp4 support added.
the following is the 2.2.0 to 2.2.3 update+AAC patch. I will submit a AAC patch for the newest release to the developers of abcde later on.
