I have a 7610 wide format printer and would like to print to 11x17" paper, but there is no such selection that I can see. I have the latest drivers. Is there something I'm missing?

  • HP Officejet 7110 Wide Format Printer not printing true black on HP Semi Glossy A4 paper

I recently bought an HP Officejet 7110 Wide Format Printer and I have tried several times to print black on HP Semi Glossy A4 paper C6818A and each time it comes out as an almost dark brown off-black. I have tested it with another HP printer and it printed a perfect dark black from the same file using standard printer settings for plain paper. I have just replaced the printer cartridges supplied with the printer with some new ones and this has not fixed the problem either. If you could suggest any possible solutions I would appreciate it. Thanks

Hi , I see that you are experiencing issues with the printer printing the black in a dark brown, using HP Semi Glossy A4 paper, you have already changed the cartridges with the same results. I would like to help you with this issue. I have provided a document with some steps to try to see if that will resolve the issue.Fixing Print Quality Problems for the HP Officejet 7110 Wide Format ePrinter Series. Try printing from another application to see if you have the same results. What applications have you tried to print from? Check the print driver settings to make sure the paper type and quality is set properly.Changing Print Settings in Windows 8. Here is another document to troubleshoot the cartridge if it isn't software related.Printer Prints a Blank Page or Does Not Print Black or Color Ink for the HP Officejet 7110 Wide Format ePrinter Series. What operating system are you using? • Wide format printing with Officejet7610 wide format printer

When setting up a print job needing 13" x 19" paper (A3+ paper size ), there is NO 13" x 19" (or A3+) paper size to select in the drop down list of paper sizes. The size doesn't seem to be recognized and yet the printer is a wide format printer and says it will handle up to 13" x 19" paper. I have tried printing out of Photoshop Elements, Picasa, and Windows Photo Viewer. There is no 13" x 19" paper size category.  Whats happening here? Why can't I use a paper size that this HP 7610 wide format is supposed to handle? Thanks to all.

  • Duplex printing in an Officejet 7110 wide format printer

Hi to the forum. I just purchased an Officejet 7110 wide format printer. I am trying to print both sides of the paper ( duplex ) manually as I have done with other HP printers but the print preferences do not have a "layout" tab and there is no other place I can find where I can select "print both sides".  I can't do the old trick of manually typing in the odd numbered pages in the print dialog box since there is no option to type in multiple pages, just a range of pages.  This is strange, since every printer I have ever use in the last 10 years allows simple duplexing by printing out the odd numbered pages, fliping the stack over and then printing out the even numbered pages. I can't believe that this new printer won't do that. What am I missing?

  • Officejet 7000 Wide Format printing birds

    Hello my new HP friends.
I have an Officejet 7000 wide format printer, connected to a jetdirect box to print via NDPS. The people in the office are complaining that the printer is printing out 'little birds'. These are of course the birds on the alignment pages. Apparently it prints 2 of these per day.
Why is the printer doing this every day? The pigeons are starting to mount up.
    Thanks,
    Phil

    Hello MerlotLady,
The lines are indeed clearly visable and look like they are caused by the inkt not bleeding very well through the paper. In this case I would recommend using another paper. I checked the HP website for you and HP recommends using advanced paper. So any kind of HP Advanced Paper will do, either glossy or high gloss as long as it is from the HP Advanced line. A copy of the recomendation below. If this will not solved the problem, best thing to do is contacting your local HP support. Let me know if it helps.
    "Advanced photo paper
Best for printing with HP 02, 38, 60, 110, 564, 920, or 940 inks; you get vivid, instantly dry, smudge- and water-resistant photos"

  • HP Officejet 7000 Wide Format Printer - E809a - losing connection through router

We have an issue getting sustained response from our HP Officejet 7000 Wide Format Printer - E809a which is linked to the wireless network by ethernet cable to a Netgear router.  We have tried stripping out the driver software & uninstalling the printer from the register, then re-installing through latest downloads from the HP site.  This works, especially if the device is set as the default printer, but within an hour the printer greys out in the device register and the default automatically resets to another printer.  Does anyone know why this printer is losing its connection?

Hi , I see by your post that the default printer keeps changing. I would be happy to help you.
Uncheck the SMTP setting in the print drivers, to see if that will help. From Devices and Printers, right click on the printer and left click on Printer Properties, click on the Ports tab, select Configure Port, uncheck SMTP and the printer should show online again. If the issue persists, please take a look at this document. • How do I get my Macbook Pro to print with HP Officejet 7500a Wide Format printer

My Macbook Pro (Retina Display) seems to have a problem to print with the HP Officejet 7500a - Wide Format printer - Is it the OS X 10.10.2 causing the problem. It works when connected to the USB cable - but wireless print is a problem.

let's see-on printer control panel, you've pressed the right arrow, then "network" then "wireless" then "wireless setup wizard" then OK,
and the wireless capability has been turned on, yes? (I didn't know you could turn it off) -either press the wireless button, or press setup on the printer's control panel, then wireless menu, then touch "On". A blue light should be lit up.
Failing that, restart the wireless components-turn off router, then printer, then turn on router and then turn on printer.  dunno what else to suggest
apparently, you can do a wireless test from the printer-right arrow, then network, then wireless, then wireless network test.. .
also see if there are any updates for your printer-there has been a firmware update for this printer from  2012-try that, there is also a software update for 10.10 apparently it adds direct wireless printing...

I would like to buy the OfficeJet 7000 Wide Format printer if it meets my needs.
I want to be able to print addresses and some small graphics onto 9X12 catalog envelopes so as to not need labels.  Does anyone know if this would work?
    Thank you!

    Hi AndersT,
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read your thread on your HP Officejet 7000 Wide Format Printer and not working with Windows 8. Here is a link to the HP Print and Scan Doctor. The HP Print and Scan Doctor will run a check on your system and download the appropriate software for you version of Windows. • Compatibiity issues between Microsoft Office 2013 and Epsom Workforce 1100 Wide Format Printer

I just purchased a new Pavilion 23 HP computer with Windows 8 Operating System and Office 2013. I bought an Epson Workforce 1100 Wide Format printer several years ago. Upon installing it on my new computer, I noticed it was for operating systems from 2000
to 7 and did not include Windows 8. I downloaded the recommended driver for Windows 8. My computer recognizes the printer and will print pictures, web-articles, etc. but will not print any text from any of the Office 2013 documents. Can you help me?

    Hi,
I have a couple of questions about the issue:
    1. Did the print task show in the status bar when you use Office2013 to print?
    2. Did you try to print by using the Notepad?
    3. Did you get some error messages?
If we cloud not print from the Notepad, it seems a
compatibility issues between Windows8 and print driver. I recommend you post the issue to Windows 8 forum or connect Epson support.
Then,we also cloud upgrade all the latest Windows 8 and Office 2013 patches to test.

  • Wide-format printer discussion group?

    Hi,
I know this is the Photoshop Forum and I'm hoping this group can refer me to a discussion of wide-format printers either here, or another site.
I'm looking at purchasing the Canon Imageprograf ipf5100 or 6100. I've read a lot or reviews of the printers in this category. I'm looking for the thoughts of experienced users, what the day to day issues are, and are they happy with the Canon product. Do they wish they had gotten Epson or HP?
    Thanks in advance.
    Craig Cheatham

I have a Canon iPF9000. You couldn't get me to go back to Epson. The Canons just work and with the PS plugin for printing you don't have to worry about all the Apple/Adobe Printer/Driver silliness. The plugin lets you print 60,000 x 60,000 pixels.
You might want to consider the iPF 6200 as that I believe has the hard drive in it. After having a printer with a HD in it I would never go back to one that doesn't.
If your also printing from Indesign there is a "Fast Graphic Process" selection that uses a different path/process than what Apple uses and does not introduce the monitor profile into the print flow.

  • HP Officejet 7500A Wide Format Printer from IPad

I would like to print 11" x 17" documents to our HP Officejet 7500A Wide Format from an IPad without access to a wireless network.  I have downloaded the HP ePrint and PrinterControl apps and they don't have the 11" x 17" option.  I was told by the HP Help Center that I need a 'third party' app.  Anyone have any suggestions?

Unfortunately there is no way to print to the Officejet 7500A using your iPad without having access to a wireless network. The wireless network is how the iPad and printer comunicate with each other. If neither devices have any kind of network connection, then there is no way possible for them to communicate.

  • Problems Processing PDFs to Wide-Format Printer

I am having a very difficult time getting my PDF files to process and print to my wide format HP designjet 800 printer. The files are processing to the printer painfully slow if processing at all. My average PDF file appears to be about 4MB to 6MB.  These files are image-heavy banners of about 54in x 15in created in Adobe Indesign CS3 with several layers and lots of images and text and are originally about 30MB as .indd files.  I export the Indesign file to a high quality PDF.  I tried to run the PDF's through a RIP software today (PhotoPrint) and got the same slow processing results.  It was suggested that it may be the why I am exporting the Indesign files to PDF.
    Anyone experience the same problem?

This is not a workflow question. Please repost in the Acrobat forum. However, it may be a question best asked to the maker of your RIP.

  • I am new in the industry of wide format printing, bought Adobe Masters Edition as well

Hi I am new in the industry of wide format digital printing. Ive bought Adobe Masters Edition I think.
    And using Illustrator.
How ever it is fairly hard to do as I am new. Is there anything you can recommend for me to do.
I know Lynda and adobe tv and all of that.. But yeah I guess its just a cry out for help sort of thing.
Specificaly in illustrator I have to use cut contour but I cant actually desing anything it will be a fairlly dodgy design if I was going to sell it.
So not sure what to do I am fairly stuck.

The first thing I would ( and have done when I was where you are ) do is read the User's Manual to the equipment you bought.  That may help you better understand what type of files will work with the equipment.  I know it seems like you've bitten off more than you can chew, so take steps toward understand file prep and how to do basic drawing.  Get to know the tools.  Try to find a print vendor in your area that will give you a tour of their prepress departments.  Ask questions.  You're going to have to experiment with all of the applications.  If you have a local junior college or trade school that offers night classes on desktop publishing, enroll as soon as possible.
