No 3G signal after 4.0.2 upgrade on iPhone 4 O2 UK

Has any one else had this problem?
I had a very strong 3G signal before I upgraded to 4.0.2. Now I only have storng Edge signal or strong GPRS signal. I have phoned O2 and they have told me that there is no problem with their Network. On the advice of the O2 customer services I took the sim card out and reinstalled, still no change in signal.
Wiped the phone and setup the phone as a brand new phone. Has any one else had this problem and any ideas how to resolve the issue?

You've probably already checked this but I didn't see it mentioned so I thought I'd give it a shot.
Have you verified that Enable 3G is on? Go to Settings > General > Network and check.

Problem with 3G network after ios 6.1 upgrade on iphone 3Gs.

I have a iphone 3Gs and not a 5 or 4 and since my ios 6.1 upgrade it's a nightmare for me. I meet a lot of reliability issue with the 3G network. Before the 6.1 upgrade it worked fine. My carrier provider is SFR. It seems to be a "bug" only with 3G. Maybe it's the same as 4Gs but not corrected for 3Gs.
By example I'm using my iphone to join a Free Number to join a confcall system and everytime after sometimes 3 minutes or 15 minutes I'm automatically disconnected - nobody is hearing me and I have to switch off and to reconnect. Others collegue working with me having a iphone 3Gs meet the same issue as me with 3G network.
Do you plan to release the 6.1.1 version for iphone 3Gs ? if yes ? when ?

After testing workaround to disable WIFI when I'm using 3G network. It worked for 1 confcall during 1 hour !! but for the second confcall the duration was only 6 minutes and the network was cut !!! the workaround doesn't work !.
I'm surprise because I don't find similar issue on Internet with "Reliability of 3G on iphone 3Gs after ios 6.1 upgrade!!".
This morning during a call this message appears "Could not activate cellular data network".
Are you in the same case as me ? Do you have a workarounf for me ?

Loss of signal after restart following QT upgrade

On restart after downloading and installing QT 7.1.1, I lose the wireless signal. Is it just coincidence? I've tried to use the Airport Assistant but it hangs when it tries to join the network. I've also tried to connect the ethernet cable from the Airport Express station to my powerbook and update the firmware from 6.2 to 6.3 but the updater hangs every time.
I am now connecting directly to the ADSL router by E'net cable and I don't know what to try next or what to make of it?

Yes, alternate universe appears to be the most logical explanation. After months of no signal at all on the iMac, but great signal on the four other wireless connections, suddenly with no other changes or adjustments, simply doing a QuickTime update, causes the signal to re-appear during the update, to remain during multple reboots - even after rebooting in OS 9.2.2, and then rebooting again in OSX.4.6 the signal is still great - and even after five days the signal is still great - no signal fluctuating over the past five days (that had been a common phenomena before) - no signal drop offs during the past 5 days (that also had been a common phenomena). What? was it one of those wild coincidences, that at the precise moment that I was doing the QuickTime update, that actually an hideous, undetected RF Interference source chose that exact instant to stop interferring and to remain non-interferring until this present moment (doubtful) - or was it somehow related to software or to the update process? (I realize that this is not an attractive hypothesis, but is it remotely possible? - Of course, if it is in someway, that Apple wouldn't come out and say as much - not prudent -, but would attempt to correct it in a subsequent update)

Same happen to me. it wasn't right away, but it's widespread and we're not alone, as you can see to the right in More LIke This. It affects all settings that perform Safari functions.

AirPlay mirroring issue after iOS 8.1 upgrade on iPhone 6

I just purchased an Apple TV. When trying to mirror my iPhone 6 on iOS 8.1 to the tv, I get a black screen. If I reboot the iPhone I can use mirroring but it stops working if I disconnect from the Apple TV. My partners iPhone 5s on iOS 8.1 connects fine as does my iPad air.

Yup. Same problem here. Had NO Problems with any of my TV hardware with my old iPhone 5 running iOS 8. But now, with my iPhone 6 - It just will not connect?! The device will try but then the entire list of options in Airplay resets and it defaults back to my iPhone option. Sometimes it asks for the code and then just blinks resets again and does not connect. Oddly, every single other apple device I own (2012 Mac mini, 2013 MBP, iPad 3) ALL connect with NO problems! Could there be something faulty within my iPhone 6 (i.e.: hardware)? I'm beginning to rule out software now... Since iOS 8.1.1 AND Yosemite work fine unilaterally across the rest of the Apple Products.

So, like the rest of us now here - Any suggestions welcome. Dictation problems after ios 8.2 upgrade

I rely heavily upon dictation.   2 problems occur (at minimum) after ios 8.2 upgrade to iphone 6. .
1. I wasnt going to add this dictation bug (feature ;-)) b/c couldnt reproduce the seemingly safari bug when got home, but as I was dictating my first sentence for defect here, it happens in this text box on any line. :-(.
    1. Problem is as soon as dictation types in word Or words, when I hit done, it erases what was just dictated! Happens on even just ine word. (So having to manually type all of this n I stink at typing ie, time consuming).
    2. I can paste characters from noteoad into here...so must be dictation relateD...it seems.
2. In the calendar textbox, when I dictate a new event (doesnt happen in location textbox) and the last character before it fills up the end of textbox (just before the "x"), it automatically does "done" for me (the beep sounds), it stops dictating, but more annoying is it will no longer allow me to continue dictating in that new event's top textbox. That means I HAVE to type n I stink at that. To reproduce I simply:
1. press the microphone.
2. Type in only numerics 1 thru 17....it will dictate to look like this: 123 456-789-1011 1213 1415 1617
3. "Beep/dong" noise because it hits the end of characters alowed it seems n decides it is "Done".
4. press the microphone
   5. "Beep/dong" noise because it wont let you dictate any more of anything said.
I Couldnt find the entry where google shows someone with what looks like same issue/bug/defect/feature # 2, so entering this.
I Have warranty but cant figure out how to get phone support for iphone (only mac ...last year).
I don't seem to have this problem using i notepad in phone when he gets to having to wrap. :-)
I Have not trieddictation on my mac...yet.

Wow! That definitely sounds frustrating, but good job so far isolating and troubleshooting the issue. We have a few more steps that we can try in an attempt to resolve this issue:
First, it sounds like you have tried restarting your phone. Let’s try a reset instead:

No source signal after running an upgrade from Vista to Win7

I have an HP S2031 monitor and I am getting a No Source Signal message after I ran an upgrade from Vista to Win7 operating system.
Computer is running and all cables are connected properly.

Seems like it is not a monitor problem.
Disconnect hard disk and disassemble the memory RAM.
Switch on the pc, then switch it off again.
Re-connect hard disk and ONE RAM stick only.
Retry boot with one stick after the other.
Which pc do you have?
Do you have an additional graphics card?
Which output port do you use for the graphics.
How is it connected to the monitor?
Which port at the monitor side?

Low cell signal After upgrade to IOS 5.1.1 to my iphone 4

After upgrading my iphone 4 to IOS 5.1.1 ,my cell signal becomes very low and after some time it shows no service.

Do you know if your "Cell Network Search" under "Location Services" is on or off. I have been struggling with the same issue, on and off and this is one of the settings I have changed recently.

Blank Email Screen after 4.3.2 upgrade

After upgrading my iPhone 4 to version 4.3.2, mail opens with a blank screen for a couple of seconds then goes away. Any idea why? Resetting/rebooting is without effect and it works fine on my iPad.

Same issue here on an iPhone 4 16gb. Was having minor issues here and there with 3G connectivity and signal strength to AT&T. Saw the update released for 4.3.2 and that some issues were fixed with connectivity so decided to upgrade to it hoping it would be fixed. BIG mistake.
Now on 4.3.2 where I used to get 4-5 bars standing on my 2nd floor balcony outside I am stuck at 1 bar sometimes 2-3 very very briefly and then back stuck at 1. 4-5 bars I haven't seen since the update and reception quality and 3G speed/reliability is gone. This phone now isn't a very mobile device if I cannot use the Internet/gps unless I'm on wifi and call/texting is just down the ******* now especially if I'm inside ANYWHERE. In the silicon valley California near plenty of towers daily but 1 bar is all I can yield from the phone now regardless.
I'll be going into the apple store nearby tomorrow to either get this phone downgraded to 4.3 or 4.3.1 even as it was never this bad where I cannot rely on it while mobile OR get it exchanged for a brand new one that is not on that firmware version.
I'm not going to even get into the other problems I've already seen in 4.3.2 as they are unrelated to the topic. But wow apple, do you even test your firmware updates ONCE aside from turning on the phone post update and being like "oh it works, alright it's ready" before releasing them to the public?
Comparing my girlfriends iPhone 3GS next to mine on the desk she has 4-5 bars steady while mine sticks at 1 and jumps to 2 or 3 for a second before falling again. She is still using the 4.3 firmware. I think you broke somethin apple, get it fixed ASAP.
Missing this kind of bug/issue makes you wonder if Apple actually has a quality control team employed there anymore lately.

After iOS8.1.3 upgrade on 5c lost Verizon cell service (works sporadically, "No Service" most of time).

After iOS8.1.3 upgrade on 5c lost cell service (works sporadically). WiFi works fine, all other phone functions work fine. Replaced SIM at Verizon store, updated carrier settings, did a factory reset, and nothing works. About 20% of the day I will get service while sitting in a high-coverage area. If
I restart the phone several times, sometimes it re-syncs to the network.
Prior to iOS 8.1.3 upgrade, phone was working fine, no signal/service issues. I am not 100% sure what version of iOS and carrier I was running prior to the upgrade (Verizon 18.0? and iOS 8.0?). I have found no way to roll-back to the prior (working) version of iOS that I was running.
This is an issue somewhere between Apple and Verizon, so I have found it frustrating to resolve. I have spent ~2.5 hrs over 3 support sessions with Verizon. Have no submitted ticket to Apple support. Seems like others have had similar issues – but not a common issue.
Let me know if you have suggestions while waiting for Apple to help.

Couple things you can try, Reinsert the sim and power cycle the iPad. Also go to settings>general>reset then select reset subsciber services then attempt to log in to your verizon account, lastly reset network settings and see if that helps. If none of the above help, i would take to apple retail store to have serviced or replaced or contact verizon to make sure everything is good on there end as well.

GPS not working after froyo 2.2 upgrade

I upgraded to froyo 2.2 yesterday and since then my GPS won't work. The only way I can get it to work is to turn GPS on, power off/on my phone, then the GPS will work when the phone is first powered back on. If I turn off the GPS off and then try it again later, it won't work again. I don't normally leave GPS turned on because it drains the battery too fast, but now I have to restart my phone any time I want to use GPS?!?!?

OK. Not just me then. I have 3 Fascinates since last Sept. First couple months, none of the 3 GPS would work.
Then after first verizon patch/upgrade, all 3 worked better. Then after 2nd and finally 3rd EA28, GPS worked
GREAT on all 3 phones. Been working great since the EA28 upgrade.
Yesterday, 2 of the 3 got their Froyo 2.2 upgrade.
Now, the GPS on both of them quit working again. They either never get a signal lock or take over 20 minutes to get one
and IF they do, its a once a day event.
The one that didnt yet receive its 2.2 update, its GPS is still working fine. ( though I'm sure it will quit post update as well).
Since all 3 worked great last 4 or 5 months, I can only assume the gps radios in all 3 are fine and this is some kind
of Android bug. ( i've seen similiar posts in other forums for other phones after gettting various android updates. )
So, $64,000 question for Verizon, Samsung or whomever: How do I fix this now and keep it fixed ??
( I've cleared all cache data I can find, turned off/on, removed battery turned off/on ...Nothing helps on either phone.)
I have not yet tried a 'factory reset' , though I could on 1 of the 2 phones.

No signal after unlock/reset of Nokia N95-2

I got my sister's N95, after she got an upgrade with Orange c/o Santa.
So I got it unlocked to use other sim cards, but this only worked for a short-time and now I just get the no signal/GSM sign (even with my Orange sim inserted). I was told that it was the original software conflicting...... umh?! However, my sims work fine in another corresponding phones...
I have tried restoring factory settings (*#7370#) and re-installing the latest s/w (v30.0.018) from the nokia support site, but to no avail; as this still appears to incorporate the orange theme/settings etc.
Any constructive ideas/help most welcome....

I take it the phone could be black listed, as a result of the phone being unblocked?
If so, I guess then I have a couple of options:
- go back to the place that did the unblocking
- ring orange to see if they will sort it, (probably for an additional fee)
- get another phone

Wifi very slow after iOS 6.1 upgrade

Per iOS 6.1 I had no problems with my phones wifi. After the upgrade however the phone will connect to it but data transmission is extremely slow. Speed tests show that my connection speed on wifi is under 2Mb as where before the upgrade it was around 30. Mail will not download now either without turning off wifi and going to lte. Have also noticed that lte will randomly turn off and go to 4g while I am using it. The phone usually then goes to no signal and then back to full.

I have tried reseting the network settings and forgetting my wireless connection and re-connecting to it. I even backed up my phone on itunes and restored it, factory reseted it. Nothing seems to work.
Also after my upgrade to ios 8.1 my personal hotspot option under cellular data has disappeared.
