There are only two ways to process form data -
1. Use mailto:[email protected] as the action of the form
2. Use a server-side scripting method to a) harvest the
form's data, b)
process it in some manner, e.g., enter it into a database, c)
formulate and
send an email to one or more email recipients, and d)
redirect the visitor
to some ending page
Method 1 is quite simple, and is also the least reliable. It
depends both
on your visitor having an email client already installed on
their computer -
this eliminates public computers, or home users without email
clients
installed (more and more it seems) - and on the installed
email client
responding to
the mailto call. It is not possible to use this method *and*
send the
visitor to a
thank you page as well.
Method 2a is the preferred method, since it eliminates the
problems of
method
1, but it means that you have to grapple with
server-scripting somehow (ASP,
CF, PHP, perl, etc.).
Method 2b would be to use some third-party form processing,
like

You would have to decide which of these methods is best for

I'm building a website for a cattle broker who needs to post cattle lots for sale, which includes a description of the cattle(several bits of information) and a video of the cattle. This will be a list that can be sorted by key fields.

Reg..Not able to transfer items form MDM to SRM(Procurement System)

We are implementing SRM5.0 with SRM-MDM2.0.
We have done all the initial level settings in SRM-MDM2.0, and able to add items in shopping cart and view the shopping cart through web, but the moment we click on "Transfer Items" the next screen display the following error message
(404 not found. The request resource doesnt found)
Though we have enter all the details in SRM > Master Data> Define Web Application Server Call Structure area and maintained the Catalog Id in the Org Structure Attributes link too.
But still we are facing the same problem.
Note-: Please help me once we create catalog in MDM how these catalog to be used by SRM users, what are the importent settings/configuration required for the same.
Points will be awarded for the help.

The marketing document can be of 2 types ..Item or Service...this is indicated by the Item / Service type drop down just above the matrix/grid
If you want to add an Item..this drop down should be set to Item. If it is of type Service then you might not see the ItemCode column.
If does not reflect / help what you are referring to ....then please explain your issue ina bit more detail

Using AddItem from A repeater Component item to Add Items to a 'Shopping Cart'

In my app I previously used a product choice tilelist to display all my products and then as each product is clicked a product details screen popped up showing all of that product's details but my client decided he wants all of the items to be displayed at once so I had to simply use a repeater component around the original product details screen so that it repeats the screen for every product one below the other and I've scrapped the product choice tilelist.
Previously I used to be able to add item's to a cart/array collection dataprovider by clicking the add item to cart button within the product details screen using the additem method but this needs to be done by assigning text properties to variables as far as I know because you can't put text values into a array collection but it doesn't seem possible to do this from within a repeater item.
In each of my repeater items I have the values productPrice, productImage, productAddon1 and productAddon2 which are all text components which obviously all vary depending on the repeater item. What I need is when I click on the add item to cart buttons inside each item in the repeater for these details (text component text properties) of that particular item to be added to an array collection. How can I go about doing this?
Basically the objective is to get dynamic text values from within items of a repeater component into an array collection. Is this possible?

If any of you guys were to go about doing this how would you do it?
Basically I have a repeater component display a list of items each of which contains a product. I want it so that when the add to cart button is clicked within the each item it can be added to an array collection but it doesn't seem possible.
Can anyone help me out or give me a hint on this?

Not able to add free item in PO

dear all
i am not able to add free items in already created import PO. when i add item and click on free item check box, system says "No delivery costs allowed without invoice receipt" and if i click on invoice receipt that item is no longer free item as the free item check box gets untick.

If there is no delivery cost condition like Freight at item level exists then
Please check any delivery cost conditions given as Header condition.If it is given as Header condition and this cost will be distributed among the line items.When you adding the line item, the cost also distributed.For free items you can't assign any costs.

Hi Lan,
You can add item price list only by that object. Item cost is controlled by system depending on your inventory valuation method.
In another word, there is no option to add cost for an item master directly.

Add barcode in the item master data

Hi All
we have a field in the item master data called Bar Code. if you have several hundred thousand items in the database how do you assign a barcode for each item? do you enter the barcode manually for each item or is there any other way to enter this item's barcode automatically when the item is added into ware house? if you have enter manually the barcode how we should follow with the number of characters in the field? is that should look like exactly on the barcode label when you print? or we need to follow our own naming convention in using the numbers?

Problem in Set GLby in Item Master

Dear All,
I am facing problem in set GL by method in item master, In my master I have defined some items with warehouse determination, some items with Item group determination and few items with Item level determination.
but in case of items for which i have set GL by item level are automatically changes to item group as i have determined GL at item level and my item group GLs are blank system wont allow me to transact as there is no account in item group and anyway it is not desired .
anybody has faced problems like that and what would be the possible solution

I am not sure whether my reply will be of any further help to you or not!
However, would you please check whether this behaviour is also reproducible in demo database (say OEC computers) or any other database on the same server environment.
If you are able reproduce the same problem in all databases that are configured in your current server environment, I recommend to report the issue to support via a ticket (if not created already).
If the problem is with only one database then as already recommended by other experts on this thread:
1. Comment all user code in Stored procedure
2. Verify if any formatted search queries are active on Item Master (like auto number generation, like ...)
3. Is there any add-ons that are active on Item Master
Would appreciate if you also write back whether you are not able to update on change of "Set GL By" (or) it is getting changed automatically from item level to Item group.

Unable to update item master data after upgrade

Greetings,
I have just upgraded from 2005A SP01 PL22 to 8.81 PL05.
After the upgrade, I am unable to update any field in the item master data.
Error message:
In "Warehouses - Setup" window, on "Accounting" tab, choose sales-type revenue account , '_SYS00000001165' [Message 131-52]
I have checked all the warehouses accounting tab and all the revenue account is a sales type account. I have also checked the GL for _SYS00000001165 and it is a COGS GL. After I change its type to "Sales", I am able to update. This shouldn't be the case.
I have also tested creating and update new item master and I have no problem. However, I will have the same problem if i add a new item via duplicating from an old item.
Any advice?

Can you also check whether the Item which you are trying to update has Manage G\L Account by as Item, Item group or Warehouse?
If you have checked for the Warehouses, check for the Item Group and at the G\L Determination > Inventory tab as well.

How do I read txt file and add items to dropdownlist or checkbox

I want to add items to a dropdown or check box by reading from a text file(and select one of them). (I donot use any table or database). The list of items is sometimes upto 20MB and hence cannot populate using session bean.I want items to be added to either checkbox or listbox during a button action. I have done this for textarea but unable so far to acheive for checkbox or listbox. I use following code which does not work:
