No access to free iWork Apps?

Here's the deal, I just bought a new Macbook Air earlier this week, Upgraded to Maverick, and the iWork apps in the app store arent showing up as free?
Solution for this?

Bought new iPad mini retina but cant find install free iWork apps like Keynote. Where can I find/install Them?

When configuring my new iPad mini retina last weekend I first ignored the questions on the installation of the free iWork apps.
Now I would like to install them but I only find the paid version in the App Store. What am I donning wrong. Or was it a missed opportunity and bad luck for me.

I had exactly the same problem but my son told me I had to update to the most up to date ios first. Currently it's only got version 6.1 on it, and it didn't say there was an update available but when I click "check for updates" it started to install version 7. I believe you need version 7 installed first, then if you go to the Store, it will say the software is free to download. I'll check back once it's finished installing the update and let you know.

Upgraded iPhone 5c to 7.1; no longer have access to free iWork in App Store

I recently activated a new 32 Gb iPhone 5c (last Saturday to be exact); a couple of days ago, I launched the App Store for the first time, and was shown a dialog which listed the free programs I could download onto my phone. Because I wasn't near my home Wi-Fi, I selected 'Not Now', which dismissed the dialog; however, I did notice that the iWork programs that were listed (Pages, Keynote, Numbers, etc.) were free.
Since that time, I've updated my iPhone to iOS 7.1; now, when I go back to the App Store to download the iWork apps, I notice that they all cost something (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote costs 9.99 each, iPhoto and IMovie cost 4.99, GarageBand is free).
My question: did I lose eligibility for free iWork because I upgraded iOS? Or am I missing something (to get to the Apple Apps, I selected "New to the Apple Store?", then "Apps by Apple")?

Thought it had worked but soon found out it had not.
after further days of trying finally, solved it for me Yesterday.
turned off notifications when locked, and bingo, wow.
i have not turned off iCloud but location services are also off.
best thing to do I found was keep checking your usage, settings, general, usage, and flip down to bottom, if the standby and usage are similar there is a problem, if there is a big difference then all is ok. Just keep turning things off and on until the difference is very apparent.
something on my phone was keeping the phone alive even when turned off, and I think this was the phone repeatedly trying to update continually.
to me this is definitely down to the iOS, my wife has exactly same phone and iOS but hers doesn't have any problem and the battery lasts for days.
the guy at the Genius Bar told me to restore the phone via iTunes, not iCloud. This is because iCloud remembers the exact info from your phone and simply reinstates it when you restore, and this includes the iOS too.
when I get home from holidays that's what I'll do, or wait for iOS 8 in few weeks. But I'm so pleased I finally made it work, I was beginning to think ditch the phone and buy Samsung.

I purchased a new MacBook Air yesterday, which is supposed to come with free iWork and iLife, but I can't find them on here. If I go to the app store to download them individually (pages, numbers etc) it shows I can purchase... but not free.
How can I download the free version?

Never got free iWork apps for iPhone on iOS 7 update?

I bought my iPhone 5 on September 1 and upgrades it to ios 7 but it still wants me to pay for the iWork apps including iPhoto. Why? Any suggestions? I reset my phone and everything but nothing.

You are not talking to Apple here, just us users. You can give feedback to Apple if you like, but most companies are unlikely to start giving away core products to everybody.

I have new iPad Air, how do I get free iWork apps?

If I go to the App Store, I work apps show at $9.99. How do I get them free since i have the new iPad Air?
I am signed into the same Apple ID that I bought the iPad with. Also though I have other iOS devices on the account. I previously have not purchased any of the iWork apps.

Go to the App Store on your iPad which should open to Featured. If not, tap on Featured at the lower left of the screen & scroll down to Collections & tap on New to the App Store? then scroll down to Apps Made by Apple & tap. You should now see the iWork & iLife apps as "FREE."

32 bit access and free mac apps

Free apps in mac app store only work with 64 bit access. My macbook has 32 bit access and I cant download free apps.
How can I get around this please.

If the app developer requirements state 64bit, then you may not be able to download those apps.

Why are the iWork apps not free FOR ME?

This might be a pretty old question, but lately I came to know that iWork apps were/are free for iOS 7 running devices, and my iPhone 4s which runs on iOS 7.1.2 and I activated it JUST 4 DAYS BEFORE SEPTEMBER 2013 (And many say, those who activated their iDevices after September 1st of 2013 are eligible to download iWork apps for free) is not able to get those apps for free. So is there any trick on refreshing/re-activating my account so that I get those apps (iPhoto, iMovie, Pages etc.) for free? Not being mean, but I feel so embarrassed for not activating my phone just after 4 days so that all those apps which I needed most would have been free (And ofcourse I did not know They would come for free if I had activated my phone afer 4 days ).

The offer for free iWorks apps is date dependent. If you purchased it prior to the eligible date, no, you are not entitled to them for free, and there is no trick to getting them. you will need to purchase them.

Note that you can not log into iCloud.com through the browser on an iOS device, only from a computer. If you want to use the iWork apps on your iOS device, you will need to purchase the apps from the app store if you don't qualify to get them for free.

iWorks apps for Mac and iWorks apps for iOS are different products, the apps only work on the appropriate operating system. They are therefore priced and sold separately.

How do you sync the free iWork and iLife apps to multiple supervised devices?

So, I have a number of 4th gen iPads that are eligible for the free iWork and iLife update. I downloaded all the apps manually to one device, but was wondering how you can do this with multiple devices at once. If I try to add the apps in Configurator it asks for codes, because we have these apps downloaded already and on older devices. Configurator does not dinstinguish between the older and newer devices.
I tried making a backup of the first iPad that has the apps and pushing that out on Configurator, but the apps did not transfer. Do these need to be side loaded? Is there another way? I am trying Settings > iTunes and App Store > Sync apps across devices, and having all ipads logged in with the same account. But, no sync of apps yet, and not even sure that will work...
Ideas?

Getting iWork apps back for free after updating to ios8

After updating to ios8 I lost all of my iWork apps. Now I have to pay money to get them back. I got them for free after buying the iPad mini retina last year and do not understand why now I have to pay money to get those back. I looked at the purchased section in the apps store but they don't show up there even if I had those apps before my iOS 8 update. Can somebody help me out with this? And am I missing something?

Try going to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.
