No access to Spanish iTunes store

Hi
I have recently moved to Spain from UK for work I'm only expected to be here for about 6 months so I don't want to permanently change my iTunes store. BUT I need to download an app for Vodafone Spain to keep an eye on my mobile usage, and I don't have access to it due the fact the my iTunes ID is only valid in the UK store and the app is only available in the Spanish store. What should I do? I'm so confused and its so stupid why can I not download it form my ID?!?!?! It so frustrating!!! If anyone could help I'd be eternally grateful

If you are in Spain then you can only use the Spanish iTunes store (you have to be in a country to use its store), and to use it you have to have a Spanish billing address on your account - if you currently have your UK billing address on your account then you won't be able to use it download content from the Spanish store.
You can either update your country and billing address on your existing account to be your Spanish address : Change the country of your iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, and Mac App Store account - Apple Support.
Or create a new account for use with the Spanish store : Set up an Apple ID in iTunes - Apple Support
Creating an account without giving credit card details : Create an iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store account without a credit card or other payment method - Apple Support

    Close your iTunes,
    Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
    (Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
    netsh winsock reset
    Hit "ENTER" key
    Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

  • HT1918 How do I access the US iTunes store when living in Italy?

I'm on exchange in Italy for a year, and soon after I arrived debit card linked to my apple ID expired. When I enter the information for the new card itunes simply refers me to the itunes support website.
I think that itunes wants me to sign up for the itunes store for Italy, but I am unsure if switching stores will delete my purcheses. I also would like to keep the language in english, if possible.
The way I see it there are two viable options:
How do I access the United States itunes store while in Italy?
    OR
Does accessing the Italian itunes store delete my previous purchases, and can I change the language to English?

If I view another country's store on my Mac's iTunes then the content headings (Music, Movies etc) remain in English, as are the Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the store homepage, though some of items in the store display in the language of the country that I've chosen
    Changing iTunes language : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2242
Note: No matter what you set your language to, some content on the iTunes Store (such as album names and movie names) will still display in their original language; it is mostly the navigation buttons, tabs, and so on which will be affected by changing the language.

  • Accessing U.S. itunes store abroad?

Can I access the U.S. itunes store in Europe via my existing U.S. account? I.e., does it matter where I am if I'm using the same account I use in the U.S.? Can I access all the same content?
    Thanks

I've been using gift cards and buying content from the US store with no problems until about 3 months ago. I can still connect, but the speed is extremely slow (1KB/sec). I heard a rumor that Apple is rejecting all foreign IP addresses accessing the US iTunes store. Can anyone confirm this?
Is there anyone from Malaysia who is experiencing the same problem? Our ISP in Malaysia has blocked ALL P2P ports because of some stupid reason that 20% of users use up 80% of bandwidth. The thing is, i know itunes only uses port 80 and 443. So, would it still be listed as a P2P sharing utility? I really hope someone can provide the solution to all this. Its driving me nuts!

  • HT2534 Hi, if I create a new iTunes Store etc account to access a European iTunes store, will this wipe all the apps I've downloaded via my UK AppleID (which I'm using across 3 different devices)?

NB. the app I'm initially interested in downloading for is the paid global/worldwide BBC iPlayer app that's only accessible outside the UK, if that helps.

    Yes.
And, your credit or debit card credentials must be associated with the same country where you reside.
"Although you can browse the iTunes Store in any country without being signed in, you can only purchase content from the iTunes Store for your own country. This is enforced via the billing address associated with your credit card or other payment method that you use with the iTunes Store, rather than your actual geographic location."

  • Accessing the UK ITunes store

I live in Spain, but have an account at the UK store. Anyone any ideas as to how I access it as all roads seem to lead to the Spanish store. James

  • Updated to 10.4.1 on Itunes and now can no longer access the actual Itunes store ...

Now i have a bit more space, i can explain what is really properly wrong. The other day i updated my itunes to the 10.4.1 version and now can no longer access the Itunes store - whenever i try to do so i get the bar at the top gets to about half way then stops and nothing happens - on rare occasions however i am taken into a place that resembles the Itunes store but there is no detail and whenever i click on anything, NOTHING happens.
Now on a SUPER RARE occasion i'll get a notice that the request was timed out?
If ANYBODY can help me i'll be very grateful
    Matthew

Purple-Gecko...all that I can say is, "Boom!!!"  You are THE man/woman, whichever the case may be.
The "netsh winsock reset" command worked like a charm for my machine (running Windows XP SP3).  I have had two weeks of frustration with this issue and finally found your post which got me back online with the iTunes store.  My problem accessing the iTunes store began once I downloaded and installed iTunes 10.5 in preparation to upgrade to OS5.  Once 10.5 was installed, I could open iTunes and access everything except the store (which prevented any of my devices from being able to sync). I followed all of the suggestions that I could find in Apple Support and the suggestions that I was emailed from Apple's support techs.  I unistalled all Apple software and reinstalled iTunes multiple times, and still could not access the store.
Your suggestion is the only "cure" that I have found.
I thank you, my iPod thanks you, and my iPhone 4 thanks you for taking the time to post this fix.

  • TS2753 i have removed iTunes and re-installed the latest version for Windows XP and still can't access the iTunes store; is there any way to get access to the iTunes store again?

I am unable to access the iTunes store for the last two months, I've tried removing the software and re-installing the latest version for Windows XP and still no access; is there a solution that would allow me to get access again?

If you haven't got a backup copy and if it's still in the store then you can try contacting iTunes support and see if they will grant you a re-download (there is no guarantee that they will) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

  • Can't access movies in iTunes Store after iOS 7 upgrade

I cannot access, click, scroll, or download movies at the iTunes stores after downloading iOS 7. It's the first issue I've encountered. Sort of weird that I can access music but the movies section is inaccessible. I can see all the titles, but can't click on any of them to read details or download the movie.  What's the fix?

I was on the phone with Apple for over an hour last night…they had me trying all kinds of things (deleting plists, creating a test account, etc. We did solve the multiple sign ins problem with the Apple ID (de-authorize iTunes and re-authorize), but I still cannot see podcasts (in the dropdown categories list) in the iTunes Store. The last thing I tried was to re-install Mavericks, but that issue persists…

Do other apps connect to the internet on the iPad ? If they do then have you tried logging out and back into the account on it (Settings > iTunes & App Store), disconnecting and reconnecting to your network, and/or tried a soft-reset ?

  • After I open itune i then try to access either the itune store or the app store i get a message saying "ITunes has stopped working"

After I open ITunes if I try to connect to the ITunes store or the App Store i get an error message.
    It reads
    "ITunes Has Stopped Working"
"A problem caused the priogram to stop workin correctly. Windows will close the program and notify if a solution is available"
I have rebooted, made sure I am up to date with itunes version and windows but it still wont work. My internet connection is fine
How do I reestablish contact with the ITunes store?

Hello. Have you tried using Safe Mode yet? For PC hold F8 on startup and select Safe Mode from Advanced Boot options screen. Also try reinstalling iTunes. Also open up the error console (wherever that might be; I'm a Mac person) and post the error that is causing it to quit. Hope it works!

  • Access to US-iTunes-Store from foreign countries?

Hi! I have a special amount of Dollars on my iTunes-Store-Account. Can I also buy music/videos/etc. when I log into the internet in a country outside the US? Or does the Store automatically detect that I am in a foreign country and doesn't allowed a purchase?
    Please answer ASAP.
    Thank you!!

Where you are does not matter.
    Where you are registerd does.
If you have registered and purchased from the US store, you can continue to purchase fromn the US stare, regardless of your physical location.
