No activation code delivered with new computer

Please I am not that computer savvy so please be gentle with computerspeak! 3 weeks ago I had a brand new T440 Thinkpad delivered via courier. What ensued is a series of enormous mishaps.
It was meant to arrive pre-loaded with Microsoft Office Home and Business 2013 and Adobe Acrobat. On calling the Australian support number I was advised there should have been an activation code in the box. THERE WAS NOTHING. I called Customer support again (a misnomer given the 45+minutes one has to wait to speak to someone). I was advised by the Customer Service person to download the trial Office 365 off the net and that the Post Sales Supervisor would call me. That didnt happen.
In the mean time because I was desperate to start work I called in a support service who incorrectly advised me that the Microsoft package had been pre-installed and that the computer was operating off that system. I have now received a notification  to say my subscription for the Office 365 is due to expire!! We called Lenovo on Friday afternoon and were assured someone would call within 24 hours - NOTHING. Today I sat on the phone and called - 50 minutes later someone answered and I was passed backwards and forwards. I eventually drove to the Lenovo offices in Chatswood only be told no-one could help me. Apparently the activation code has to be sent from China. No-one there seems to believe I did not receive the activation code. I cannot be without my computer while I wait for this ridiculous situation to be resolved. I need the product from Lenovo that I paid for in good faith. No-one seems to bother. Does anyone have some advise on how I can get the product I paid for BY TOMORROW????

It is already that way, (tools, Options, remember passwords for site, is checked) but not working. In my old computer there was a pop-up or icon from Firefox asking me if I wanted the safe the sign-in passwords, but that is no longer there.

    You can download the software from the website and then type in your old serial number to activate it... that is, IF the installer database will work with your operating system. I am having problems reinstalling CS4 with a new computer running on Win 8.1. When I called customer support, they told me a whole lot of nothing for 45 minutes and then directed me to a chat session. After about 30 minutes on chat, I was basically told they don't offer support for older products. The website says "no known issues" for installation... but that very well may be because they are unwilling to record the issues when someone calls to report them! Good luck with your install. I wish I had CS5 at this point, as it appears there is still support available for it... but you are on the bubble timewise for that to continue. Other downloads

    I am trying to activate NM on a new laptop. I have a paid license for NM and I have the key from the original install. When I try to activate I get a message stating that the key is invalid. I followed the instructions in item 10 of the NM FAQs in the Advisor and it still will not activate.

    Syncing to a new iTunes library or computer will erase your iPod. Only if you back up your iPod manually before syncing, you can restore your device from that backup again. A manual backup does not include the sync process.
    Do this:
    Disable autosync in iTunes, connect your iPod to your new computer and right click on it in the device list and choose backup. iTunes will backup your iPod without syncing.
    Transfer your purchases the same way, choosing "transfer purchases" this time.
    When you connect your phone for the first time, all media content will be erased. But you can restore your settings and app data from your manual backup afterwards.
    Don't forget to set up at least one contact and event on your new computer to be able to merge calendars and contacts when you sync the iPod for the first time.
    Music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in iTunes and transferred your purchases.

    I have purchased LR2 and updated to LR3. I now am trying to activate LR3 on a new computer. I downloaded the free trial and when it asks me for a serial number I put it in and it accepts but also says It is a upgrade # and needs the original serial number which I do not have. Is there anything I can do?

    Need help re-synching iPods with new computer and getting iTunes to recognize our iPods (it doesn't even recognize them when they're plugged in).
    Hubby wiped my harddrive for me, so now I need to get everything back in proper places. I'm using windows XP and installed iTunes once again (I believe it's version 8). I also installed all of my iTunes songs. Now I need to know where to go from here. We have 3 iPods and I need to get them all synched once again. I know how to create different libraries for each of us, but I can't figure out how to get our songs back into our iTunes libraries. When I open iTunes and plug in an iPod, iTunes doesn't even show that an iPod is plugged in.
    What do I do now to get each of our iPods synched with our own libraries?

    Thanks Zevoneer. The "Restart ipod service" worked and itunes is now recognizing my ipod! Hooray!
    Okay, now how do I synch all of our ipods with our individual libraries (I don't want all of my kids' songs and vice versa)? We each have hundreds of songs on our ipods that we don't want to lose.

    - Transfer iTunes purchases to the new computer by:
    iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
    - Transfer other music by using a third-party program like on of those discussed here:
    newer copy
    - Connect the iPod to the computer and make a backup by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up
    - Restore the iPod from that backup.
    Note that the iPod backup that iTunes makes does not included synced media like apps and music.

  • Cannot sync ipad Air with new computer running windows 8

    With new computer (HP Envy 27) running with windows 8, I have the latest iTunes installed, and successfully transferred my itunes library (books, music, TV programs, podcasts etc) to the new computer.  I've tried multiple times to sync my iPad Air with no success.  Only the Podcasts and Apps have been synched.  No TV programs, and only a few music albums and books came across, despite the fact I selected the albums and books to synch individually.  Can anyone help please?

    Since you are able to sync some content and not all, I would first unsync (uncheck the box and hit apply) for a category (lets say books), then go back and re-sync (check the box again) and select just one item that did not sync before.  If it syncs then you know it's not the content.
    If it doesn't sync, then you will have to do a little more testing to see what it is, like trying to sync from a new library or new user.
    Also, verify in itunes what's on the iPad by showing the sidebar and clicking the arrow next to the iPad on that sidebar.  You can see what has made it onto the iPad.  If its on the iPad there, but not showing up in the proper place on the iPad's screen (like books in iBooks) then you will need to troubleshoot the device up to maybe even restoring it as new.

    I just got a new netbook with Windows 7 Starter. I would like to transition from using my current work laptop to the netbook as the manager of my iPhone. When I try to sync my iPhone with the new computer it says that my iPhone's library is linked to another computer. It appears that all of my contacts and apps will be erased if I sync these items on the netbook.
    Does anyone know a way that I can keep this information without erasing? I already erased my music content from the iPhone. I foresee a real problem since this netbook doesn't have Outlook and all my contact information is in that format. I also don't want to have my apps all wiped out. Thanks for the help.

    iTunes content can be synced or manually managed with an iTunes library on a single computer, and photos can be transferred to the iPhone via the iTunes sync process from a single computer only. When transferring iTunes content and photos from another computer, all iTunes content and photos transferred from a different computer will be erased from your iPhone first.
    No other content is touched or erased when doing so including iPhone contacts especially if you don't select to sync contacts with a supported application on a new computer.
    iTunes includes an option to transfer iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store, but this is for iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store only. With your iPhone connected and without syncing, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPhone. If you haven't activated the new computer with your iTunes account with iTunes, you should do so before doing this.
    With Windows, contacts can be synced with Outlook 2003 or 2007 along with calendar events, or with Windows Contacts for syncing contacts only.
    If you don't have Outlook 2003 or 2007 available on the new computer, you will have Windows Contacts available. Before syncing contacts with Windows Contacts, enter one contact in Windows Contacts. Make the contact up if needed, which can be deleted later. This will provide a merge prompt with the first sync with Windows Contacts, which you want to select.
    There is no Outlook format or Apple address book format with contacts. You can sync contacts with Outlook 2003 or 2007 or with Windows Contacts on a PC, and sync contacts with Apple's address book on a Mac.
    Contact, calendar events, and Safari bookmarks can be synced with the supported applications on multiple computers. With two Windows computers, with two Macs, or with a Windows computer and a Mac.
