Hi All,
I am using a java application to render pdf from XDP. Whenever i perform action to download or view pdf, i am getting the below error message in my eclipse. Please assist. Thanks.
Error in rendering PDF :ALC-DSC-023-000: com.adobe.idp.dsc.registry.service.NoActiveServiceConfigurationException: There is no active service configuration for service: FormsService."

Hi Pushkar,
I am unable to uninsatll the service component. The service is still running and not let me stop and re-install.
Is there is any way for me to stop the servie explicitly?

Could you please provide, with the data source, that can be used to derive activity types (ActTyp),for service orders.

I have checked ZLIS_18_ORDER, where i could find (Maintenance activity type, ILART) but not Activity type.
Or if we need to create a Genric DS for same, could you ppl please provide me with the table name, to get the Activity type.

As far as I know only Dialog users has that ability.

Error activating logical port for service group

Hi,
I reconfigured the Starter Services because I changed the backend.
It all worked fine, but in SOAMANAGER it throws an error when trying to activate logical ports for service group /IWCNT/BPC_SERVICE_GROUP (error is thrown for all 4 service groups he wants to activate)
Configuration of proxy '/IWCNT/CO_BPC_CONT_BYID_QR_OB' failed
    Failed to create logical port for local shortcut.
         Service group '/IWCNT/BPC_SERVICE_GROUP' is not assigned to the own business system.
            Failed to create a logical port using Service Registry.
                Use profile name = 'SAPLOGONPROFILE' version = '4'
                      Failed to create a logical port for inbound interfaceCustomerERPRelationshipContactPersonByIDAndContact'            'http://sap.com/xi/APPL/SE/Global'
                             UDDI error: No Primary Services Registry maintained in this System.
I checked:
1. The provider system name
2. WSIL works fine
3. The profiles used are the same
If i take a deeper look at the service groups there where no logical ports created.

I followed the steps mentioned in the guide (3.3.2) but it didn´t work at all.
The services uses all the same profile. The profile is importet in the SCL.
When I process the pending tasks this massages shown up:
Failed to create a logical port using WSIL (This step is red)
Use profile name = 'SAPLOGONPROFILE' version = '4' (This step is OK = green)
Target WSIL type SAP_6.40 (This step is OK = green)
Failed to create a logical port for inbound interface 'CustomerERPRelationshipContactPersonUpdateRequestC' 'http://sap.com/xi/APPL/Global2' (This step is red)
   Could not determine service using WSIL query (This step is red)
Is it normal that on the SCL, in the Business Scenario Configuration there are no entries in the Service Definitions for the Duet_Starter_Service_All scenario.

Enter Invoice before Service Entry for Service POs?

Hi,
I have a question that I am hoping someone can answer.
As per standard process, in order to enter an invoice for a service PO, the service entry should be posted and accepted. This is the standard service procurement process, i.e. a 3 way match process for service POs (PO - Service Entry - Invoice).
We have a request to be able to enter an invoice for a service PO (that will go on block) before entering the service entry sheet; once the service entry sheet is entered and accepted, the invoice should be unblocked and paid.
Currently, based on our testing in ECC 5.00, the system does NOT allow the user to enter an invoice for a service PO unless:
1. the service entry has been posted and accepted in the system (when using GR-IV checked, GR checked); or
2. the service PO is created such that the GR is non-valuated (where GR-IV is unchecked):
     a. GR-IV unchecked
     b. SR-IV unchecked
     c. GR checked
     d. GR non-valuated checked
In option 2 above, since it is GR non-valuated, as soon as the invoice is posted, the consumption account is hit, and offset by the vendor account (the GR/IR account is not impacted in this scenario). When the service entry is created and accepted, no accounting postings are made as it is GR non-valuated. Therefore, it looks very similar to a 2 way match process.
We also read in SAP Note 1166693 that says an invoice cannot be entered before service entry unless you activate Enterprise Public Sector, however, this conflicts with option 2 mentioned above.
Has anyone come across a similar requirement, implemented Public sector, option 2 above, or have any other solutions? Does anyone see any negative impacts with implementing option 2 above?

By creating PO IV based you can block invoice till GR is posted, check it

Services configuration for sql server 2008r2 in a Windows Cluster

Hello,
We have a Windows Server 2008 Cluster with Sql Server 2008r2 installed on node 2; when node 2 fails (we don't still know why, it's a 'bluescreen' long history), the service goes from node2 to node1, but sometimes the services are not automatically activated.
What is the theoretical startup settings for sql services (for the sql and the agent), manual, disabled, automatic... ?
Also, sometimes, the service for the sql server in node2 stops, but we don't know why, and we are not able to see any significant information on the event viewer. How can we trace why Sql Server stopped ?

Manual. The cluster will start them.

Traffic/Service configuration for ISG

Need help in configuration so that the following requirements should be met:
A set of target IP Addresses to be excluded in the traffic defined for a service (access to those IPs should be allowed, only that the traffic should not be qualified under service usage)

No Service Authentication is done successfully using RADIUS. We have two services INTERNET & INTRANET and the question here is how to configure the IP traffic for a particular service i.e either for INTERNET or INTRANET service. To be more specific on the details:
We are using CISCO ISG as a gateway for both INTERNET and INTRANET access. We are having a separate billing server connected with AAA server. We are able to successfully bill the authenticated users when they are accessing the INTERNET service (for both prepaid and postpaid).
But our problem is when a user who is authenticated and is accessing the INTRANET pages, he getting charged for that service and amount is deducted from his/her account. To be precise over the solution required:
- Exclude the charging/billing for the user when he accesses INTRANET service.
- At the same time charge/bill him when he is accessing INTERNET service.
Any suggestions regarding CISCO ISG configuration in this regard for how to achieve the above requirement is highly apppreiciated.

SAP_PA Service - Configuring for IT 0019

Hi Experts
I have done the necessary steps such that using HCM Forms and SAP_PA Service, IT 0019 gets updated when a particular form is submitted but I think i missed some point somewhere as it is not updating IT 0019.
Can any1 help me with it? The Custom form was already updating IT 0000,0001, 00014 and 0041 and I added the service for IT0019 on similar lines but the config doesnt work.
Has any1 done it in the past and help me do it the right way?

Have you checked your decoupled infotype framework config? You might have IT0019 marked as "read only" in there which would stop any kind of update even from HCM P&F.

Trex configuration for Service desk

After installation of TREX server on solution manager server, when i run SAF
Search Engine Name :STANDARD
i am getting SAF overview in error mode. then i try to check server engine status-->in side check info:"Error: Communication or other system error"
so i use guide to fix problem , then click on TEST, it gives DUMP as below.

Please correct the assignment in OBYC and also in this error itself u can see one icon of proceed.If you will click on Proceed, then it will take u in to OBYC, where u have to do the corrections.

No Service Searching for Service on my iPhone 6 Plus Please Help???

Please Help... my iPhone 6 plus is brand new and has not been working for hours it shows no service and looks like its searching I tried Re-booting it , resetting all the data, turning off the cell data for a few seconds turning on, I have also tried putting it on airplane mode than turning it off and nothing..
normally when this happens I shut it down for a few seconds and then when I turn it on it works but this time it is not working
I guess my questions is if I take it to apple and the issue can not be resolve will they give me a new phone? this is extremely frustrating because I use my phone for work etc...

So just went to AT&T my carrier they tried a few things did not work they gave me a new SIM Card did not work.. they suggested that it must be a factory error and something is wrong with my phone to take it to Apple to see if they replace it
I am keeping my fingers crossed that they can help me get a new one

I will. Unfortunately, I need to focus first on getting a collabd/wiki/calendar issue resolved. But, I'll definitely be coming back because I need to set up an admiistrator with restricted rights too. I skipped past Lion and came straight from SLS. I still have that server and may be able to go back and poke around. But, if you used to be able to do with with serveradmin, I'd still think you could, at least from the CLI.

User Profile Service - Permission for Service User to Read All (also "only me fields")

we have a webapplication that needs to read all info from a user profile. Even if it is set to "only me".
I want to set the least privileges needed. So set the user to "Manage Profiles" in the CA seems to be wrong.
How can i achieve that?

You could run that piece of code in the vacation app using "runwithelevatedprivileges". That may also resolve it, as it will be running under the context of the App Pool account (which you could grant the appropriate rights on the UPSA).

CAF WebServices don't appear in CAF Admin's External Service Configuration

Hi,
I have developed Web Services in CAF and deployed them on the WAS but they don't appear on the CAF Administrative Tools -> External Service Configuration under Service Registry. They appear in the Web Service Navigator running on the J2EE-Engine but I can't set the authentication mode.
What am doing incorrectly?

Hi Richard,
as far as i know the External Service configuration is only for web services (or RFC's) which are imported as external service in a CAF-Project.
I assume you developed a application service in CAF and applied a web service on this. Those web services are not visible in external Service Configuration only (as you have found) in Service Navigator)

CIN - Cess and S&HCess for services

In our Indian company, also sales of services are possible. I have customizing a pricing schema with these type of conditions:
a) Service tax
b) Cess for services
c) S&HCess for services
About conditions (b) and (c), OSS notes 779512 [Master Note for Service Tax] and 778976 (Configuration for Service tax (MM and SD)) explain to create Cess as a tax condition, and there are no reference to excise management or customizing for Cess and S&HCess. This means that for these conditions I don't have to create excise invoice but only accounting document starting from SD billing or I have to create equally excise invoice? If yes, which transaction I have to use? J1IH?
If I have to create excise invoice, settings in excise customizing are similar to these done for Cess and S&HCess for excisable materials?
