NO Adapter Engine found in SXMB_MONI

Hello Experts,
We have a scenario where we are sending contracts from ECC system to XI and XI send this information to the Seeburger System.
We have all these systems in palce.
But on trying to process a message i.e generate contarcts from ECC the message reaches XI and gives an error in SXMB_MONI.
Following is the error:

SXMB_MONI gives the GUIDs and details concerned to the Integration Engine . In a similar way what tcode gives me the GUIDs and detials in Adapter Engine .

PI 7.11 - Configuration: Adapter Engines Not found

Hi,
We have a PI 7.11 System that is connected to a central SLD. There are also two PI 7.0 systems connected to this SLD. If i open a communicationChannel i get following message:
Adapter Engines Not foundNo SLD elements of type SAP_XIAdapterFramework found
If i look in the SLD Technical Systems (Exchange Infrastructure), i see the three PI systems but only the Adapter Engines of the two PI 7.0 systems.
How can i check if the adapter engine is up and running and if it has correctly been registered by my SLD. Are there any documentation according this configuration?

Adapter engine not found in Integration Directory

Hello All,
We are having a new server installation. The problem I am having is in Integratin Directory --> Communication Channel, no option for Adapter Engine is present in the drop down. I have checked the following options:
1) SAP BASIS Component with Adapter Mata data is present in Repository.
2) In SLD, Content Maintenance, class XI Integration Server. There are 3 associated objects (the last column). XI Sub-System viewed application system is also present.
3) The Technical and Business Systems are already created for XI Integration Server in SLD.
I have also suggested the blog /people/venugopalarao.immadisetty/blog/2007/03/15/adapter-engine-cannot-be-found-in-integration-directory , to the Basis team, however the problem still persits.
Kindly suggest how we can resolve the issue and start executing our scenarios.

Resend Message that fails in adapter engine but shows success in sxmb_moni

Hello SDN!!
We are testing sending soap requests out via SSL. We are using a BEA as a pass through server for SSL encryption only.
The scenerio is to send a message from SAP to PI 7.1 to BEA (SSL enc) to Receiving System. We successfully connect to BEA (only used as a pass-through) but the connection to Receiving System does not work. This returns an error to our adapter engine.
My question is this, Since SXMB_MONI shows the message as successful, but the adapter engine is showing an error. What is the best way for
1. Monitor the errors, (I only see where you can monitor the type of adapter only)
2. Resend the message, since it shows valid in SXMB_MONI, it won't let me resend.
Any help will be greatly appreciated and awarded

1. Once the message is in successful status in moni, the best way to monitor becomes RWB -> Message Monitoring.
2. For adapter engine related errors, you may resend the data manually using the resend option in the Message Monitoring. Otherwise, for automatic retry of messages, you may change the default settings.

Adapter Engine Not found in ID

Hi folks,
While creating a communication channel for File adapter the field for Adapter Engine is blank
I followed this link

Business system was not there. so I tried creating a WEB AS ABAP acc. to this blog.
I got the following error :
CIM_ERR_FAILED 
Qualifier MAX(1) violated for property reference SAP_XIIntegrationServerLogicalIdentity.SameElement
however it's creating a Business System. but I am not able to find the adapter engine in ID.

How to hide a payload in sxmb_moni and RWB and Adapter engine.

I need to hide the pay load in sxmb_moni, RWB, Adapter engine. Because payload has some sensite information.
I need to hide the pay load for perticuler interface Name (http://filetoidoc.com) only. not all payloads.
Please help us this.

SXMBPARTY= Communication Party
SXMBPRTAG= Issuing Agency
SXMBPRTTYP= Identification Scheme
SXMBSERV= Service
SXMBIFNS = Interface Namespace
In your case you will use the last one SXMBIFNS

Adapter Engines not found

Hello All,
I am doing a file to Idoc scenario. When I open the communication channel that I created, there is a warning message popping up as below:
Adapter Engines Not Found
Unable to find associated SLD element for specified class (source element: SAP_XIIntegrationServer, [CreationClassName, SAP_XIIntegrationServer, string, Name, IntegrationServer.pid.svdud01, string], target element class: SAP_BusinessSystem)

I have been checking all possibilities.
I tried to do the cache connectivity test in thr runtime workbench, but it throws the following error:
Attempt to fetch cache data from Integration Directory failed; cache could not be updated
[Fetch Data]: Error while consolidating data
[Data Evaluation]: Couldn't parse Configuration Data cache update XML string from Directory.
I checked the technical and business systems for the PI system and they are maintained correctly.
Any more ideas ?

Multiple adapter engine URL's found

Hello,
In the integration directory, when we tried to add a communication channel or change a currently existing communication channel we get an error " Attempt to determine which Adapter Engines are affected by data changes failed". We did a cache refresh and in AE runtime cache we find the AE name changed to "CA" with a new adapter engine name. The default was "AE" with the adpater name blank. Also in the cache notification of ID there is an "Unknown error" in red and in the cache instance we find 2 adapter engine instances.
Where can we find the actual adapter engine set up for the integration server ?? and How can we revert back to the original settings??
Any help is appreciated.

Hi Anil,
The adapter needs to register itself in SLD.
For this there is template task which should have done this automatically. If not the Basis team could trigger the self-registration of adapter engine in visual admin.

Adapter Engine not found in SLD

hi all -
BASIS applied this note SAP note- 764176 and when we stopped and restarted adapter engine service->
sap.com/com.sap.aii.af.cpa.app.
We did not see the Adapter Engine back in SLD.
Any reason why its not showing?

a)Start transaction SXI_CACHE.
b)From the context menu XI Runtime Cache select Start Complete Cache Refresh.
If you still face issue try this .
Many actions require to access System Landscape Directory content from the Integration Builder. To optimize performance, this content is loaded into a cache so that the System Landscape Directory does not have to be accessed directly each time that System Landscape Directory content is required.
However, this cache is not automatically updated if changes are made to the content of the System Landscape Directory. For this reason that we delete the System Landscape Directory cache if changes have been made to content in the System Landscape Directory. The cache is then filled each time that the System Landscape Directory is accessed. If we log on to the Integration Builder after we have made a change in the SLD, we do not need to delete the SLD cache.
To clear the SLD cache, from the Integration Builder main menu, choose Environment ® Delete Cache for SLD Data.
Once we have deleted the cache for SLD data, accessing objects in the SLD may take longer than usual initially.

Performance Problems - Adapter Engine

Hi all,
something strange is happening... In scenario Soap -> XI -> Abap proxy, sync, my legacy make a soap call to xi web service. The message sent arrives at sxmb_moni only 2,5 or 3 minutes after the legacy has send it. Sometimes does not appear at sxmb_moni because expires in adapter engine.
After sending the message from legacy, I can see the message in runtime workbench imediately. There it remains as "request received", but no message at sxmb_moni. After 2 or 3 minutes appears a "call completed" on runtime workbench, and then it appears on sxmb_moni, goes to ecc, execute the query and returns.
As basis team said, only 15% to 20% of processor and memory resources are in use...
Some of you have some tip about it?

Don't know how to see if the adapter engine is "loaded fully" as you said...
But there are lots of memory and processor free.
Yes, we have multiple adapters running in parallel, but this seems to be a normal scenario.
Actually we found the interface that was causing this problem. It is a synchronous interface that run in 8 seconds. It has been used to load data from a legacy app to sap ecc, and the client program was executing 6 threads at same time calling this interface. If I stop this data load, all other interfaces works fast.
I can't understand why this happens... We normally have 250 messages per minute from many different interfaces and all of them working fast. If we put 3 or 4 threads asking for this one, all other interfaces begins to be slow... and slower, and timed-out sometimes.

Problem With Seeing Message in Adapter Engine

Hello Everyone,
We are facing a strange problem while running an Integration Process, BPM in PI. In the process, we are trying to read a .CSV File and convert it into a .XML File via FCC. The .CSV file is placed in the XI box itself, under a certain directory. We have configured the process such that whenever the .CSV file is read, its attributes are set to 'read only'. After configuring the process, the required XML file did not show up. So we checked that whether the .CSV file was read and it showed up attributes of 'read only'.We cross checked
 -First by going to SXMB_MONI; here it said 'No messages available for selection'
 -Then by examining the 'channel monitoring' in AE; where we found both the sender and receiver channel are showing green. The sender channel first shows up that 'Processing started' and then 'Processing Completed Successfully'. The receiver channel does not show up any messages.
 -we checked for the XML messages that are in the Adapter in IDX5; it shows 'no messages selected'.
 -We anticipated that it may be a cache problem and cleared all the caches; but when we tried to clear the Adapter Framework Cache, it popped up an authorization error and the problem persisted.
We are using NW2004s with SP6 at the ABAP and BASIS stack and SP 9 at the Java Stack. Also, all the required connections made in SM59 are in order.
Now, What can be the problem? Is it the difference in SP level that is causing the problem? Or is it something else? What have we missed? Guys, please help us solve this problem.

1.Document name is indeed the name of message type in our case.
2. We did not use delete mode; but once the file was read- we manually changed its attributes from 'RA' to 'A'..and it became 'RA' again after 2 seconds; which is our polling interval.
3. And we have discovered that the file is being read properly..because we can see the XML payload of it and it contains the correct data.But still it does neither show up in SXMB_MONI..nor in IDX5.
Can you please tell us what are the necessary roles for the User PIAFUSER? We suspect that somewhere's an authorization error we are getting; because the AF cache refresh attempt shows "Forbidden" and we are getting an error in Tcode SXI_SHOW_MESSAGE as:
AE_DETAILS_GET_ERROR: no_adapter_engine_found: Unable to find Adapter Engine:; Stack trace shows:Error while reading access data (URL, user, password) for the Adapter Engine

Receiver File Adapter J2SE Adapter Engine

Hi,
We have configured a receiver file adapter on a J2SE adapter engine through the administrator page of the J2SE adapter.
XI.httpPort=8222
XI.httpService=/file/Receive
and the rest of the adapter parameters.
I have configured a channel in ID as XI receiver adapter.
host: "hostname"
Service: 8222
Path Prefix: /file/Receive
The messages in sxmb_moni fail to be delivered with "HTTP error 404 Resource not found."
Through a browser I am also not able to make a connection to this url:
"host":8222/file/Receive
Getting Http error "501".
Please can someone shed some light on this problem.

This is ok. Since get method not implemeted for this service.
Since from XI you are getting this error "HTTP error 404 Resource not found", can you logon to XI server at OS level and do a telnet test to check if the port is working.
cmd> telnet
telnet> open <J2SEAdpaterEngineHostName (or) IPAddress> 8222
