No advanced features available in printing panel

Hi,
I wanted to clean printing head of my printer (Canon Pixma MP830) but I cannot access advanced features. I have reinstalled the drivers but this does not solve the problem. Here is a picture of control panel Link
Thanks in advance!

Matic LJ,
Dave as always is correct.
That is where the utility is located on my system.
For easier access, I created an alias of that file and put it in my utilities folder.

  • Setting Up Google Chrome Features for Cloud Printing from an Android Device

These steps are organized for optimal setup procedure and to decrease the time it would take to set this option up from start to finish. This is a lengthy process and is more for possibly troubleshooting issues that may arise during the setup of Google Chrome's Cloud Print feature. However, if you have an Android phone or tablet and are interested in being able to print virtually anything at anytime from anywhere from your phone to any brand of printer regardless of setup, there is a way. And this is how:
Open/Install Google Chrome onto a computer
Sign in with personal email to access the same Google Chrome account you intent to print from
Download Google Drive as an external storage you can access from anywhere
Open Google Chrome Settings (three lines stacked on top of each other)
Scroll down to the bottom of settings and click "Advanced Settings"
"Sign in/add printers/manage printers" are three of the print options you may see here
Follow this link for information on:
adding a classic printer to this option:  https://support.google.com/cloudprint/answer/1686197?rd=1
how to add an HP ePrint email:  https://www.google.com/cloudprint/learn/printers.html#info-hp
on registering the email of that printer (HP registration page):   https://www.google.com/cloudprint/learn/setup-hp.html
    8.  add the printer to this section of Google Chrome
    9.  at the bottom of the page you will see "Send a test page/print test page" (that will be useful later)
    10. at the top of this page is the option to share this printer with other Google Chrome users
    11. Open Google Drive from www.google.com (likely displayed at the top of the webpage)
Can create a new document of any file type, upload, draw, etc
Leave computer on if intending to print from off the network or another location
The next steps are in regards to printing from a mobile device:
    Install/open Cloud Print App
Add personal email account associated with Google Chrome
Select printer management if on the same network as the printer
Select Web tab and Google Drive if not on the same home network
Find earlier test page in Google Drive Documents
To locate other documents one could find many applications within this app or
In another app like Documents To Go, you can select to send previously saved documents (like one might send an email on the Android) to the Cloud Print app to open, view, and print
Print Test Document – this function means the printer has officially been added now
In Google Drive, but within the Cloud Print app, you can select the printer that was added to this network or from "Printer Management Options."
There are many ways to determine if your printer is still connected (offline, ready, etc.) but after confirmation that the printer is available, print jobs rest in the print queue until the printer receives the command to print.  Then the documents are stored and available for reprinting.
Converts most print jobs to .pdf but prints most file formats from other applications as well
    In Printer Management advanced settings
You can add a contact from the phone to use this printer
    Set as default
See an extensive page of setup and printing options
*After a test print while the computer was off the document did not print and the printer appeared offline until approx. 4 min after computer was rebooted, then the document printed automatically.
Also if a document does not print, the troubleshooting guide on the phone suggested logging out of Google Chrome Cloud Print but I was unable to find that option it was suggesting (unable to log out)
To completely finish adding any additional Google Chrome accounts that wish to share this printer using the suggestion in step 10, you must log into the email that was added and select ADD PRINTER from within the email that was sent for the confirmation and follow the link and instructions on how to do this from your email.
Google Chrome and Google Drive support Windows, MAC, and Linux
You can also change share options, privacy settings, etc. but if you choose to go with the two-step verification process, you may not be able to add your Google Chrome email account to the app without a 16 digit code generated within Google Chrome Privacy Settings for your app (not recommended)
Now you have the option to also email any document to either the Cloud Print App or HP ePrint from the phone/tablet without actually accessing the app first.  Locate the document, press the menu button for more options, select "Send to" and a list of available apps will appear.  Choosing Cloud Print or HP ePrint sends the document or photo directly to the "print" function within the apps, instead of opening the app first and then searching for what it is you want to print.
**computer connected to printer must be on**
Requirements:  a) Google Chrome, Google Drive, and Cloud Print mobile app  b)  These steps outline the use of an Android device on the network for setup  c) will need the computer connected to the printer to be on at all times   d) go to this webpage http://www.google.com/cloudprint/learn/  if you have any more questions.
Available features of Cloud Print App
    a.  Print all file formats from Google Drive (uploaded or create)
    b.  Has an internal notepad and drawing tool
    c.  Prints off all contacts and phone numbers as well as specified text messages
    d. The scan option actually just means take a picture
    e. Without Cloud Print Pro you get 5 days to test the features of printing Facebook pictures, Drop Box and Schedules before those features are no longer available

This document is to assist others in understanding and troubleshooting Cloud Print. This took me many hours to get setup, troubleshoot, and prepare a document that is simple and easy to understand. These are literally step-by-step instructions on how you could be able to print from any Android device to any printer connected to a computer that has Google Chrome.  You would then be able to use the Cloud Print App without having to use HP ePrint to print to any printer connected to any computer (USB or wireless) basically allowing you to print virtually anything from your Android.

I have developed a fillable pdf in Adobe Acrobat Professional X but when I try to use the Airprint feature the form print minus the field data, have anyone been able to resolve this issue?

    Hi,
I had a similar problem and found help for it. Go to the "Advanced" menu and select Extend features in Adobe Reader. That will enable rights which may resolve your problem. If that doesn't work, there is a really helpful guy in here, Robert Levine. You may want to ask him directly.

  • Scanning Software With Advanced Features

I am looking for a scanning software package that has more advanced features compared to the scanning software package included with my all in one.  I have looked for a more advanced scanning software package on the software CD included with the all in one as well as on the HP web site and have not found anything.
Does HP make a more advanced scanning software package than the one inclulded with the all in one?  I am thinking of a program that is similar to VueScan from Hamrick Software.  I might just have to shell out the money if HP does not make a nicer scanning program.
    Thanks.

    Hello @jerryheilman,
Welcome back to the HP Support Forums! I understand you are interested in a Scanning program that offers more options then what is available with the HP Software that was included with your HP Officejet Pro 8610. Unfortunately HP does not have anything like that available.
I was able to Google 3rd party Scanning software and there were many options, I guess it depends on what it is you are interested in doing.

I use lightroom with the soft proofing feature for my printing. I used to make a copy proof, but all of the sudden something changed, and even if I'm on the copy in the developing mode it prints the original. Also, If i chose a file that was already in light room to print, even though I have the chosen file up in the developing mode, it will instead print the most recent file that I added to lightroom. If found a way to work around these problems, (check make this the copy in the soft proofing, and copy my settings and delete and reload the old files) but it's a slight hassle and it didn't use to do this. Not sure why it changed. Could I have accidentally changed a setting?

  • Search PhoneBook by Last Name - Feature available ...

    Hey all,
I want to buy a new Nokia phone for my dad, he's been using his 6600 for the past 2 years and very satisfied with it.
The main feature that I'm looking for is to be able to search through the phone book using the first and last name.
Eg. If the name is TOM HARRIS, I can search using Tom or Harris, as need be.
Is the feature available in S60? If so, what is the cheapest S60 phone I can buy? I'm thinking of 6303 as of now.
If not, what phone would I find this feature in?
    Cheers,
    Thanks in advance,
    dgsmax

    Thanks alot for the suggestions.
Although, the phones mentioned here fall heavily out of my budget. I can still consider 5320, which also has the S60 OS.
My dad def wouldn't like a touch phone, since he's more of a rugged-handling-user.
I'm kind of in a tussle now, since the phones are falling out of my budget. Are there no other cheaper phones from Nokia that have this feature? Doesn't have to be S60, just needs to have the feature to power search through the phonebook.
I'm looking for the most basic features, just the option to search through the phonebook. My dad barely SMSs anyone, just uses his cellphone for making calls and at times snapping a pic or two.

  • Is there any advanced feature of Adobe Flash released to lower the page loading slow down rate...?

Any advanced feature of Adobe Flash to embed in my site
Hi! My site is basically based on providing share market tips covering finance market. The site was recently migrated from the old look to a new look for a professional view. To make the home page wear a professional look, I am displaying a video like screen for news headlines organising images into jquery effect. But what I experienced so far this jquery effect is slowing down the home page at the time of loading (plz refer the screen shot below). You can check it  at Puntercalls Homepage .  I'm sure if I embed the normal flash feature in palce of this jquery, it must slow down than the former.
So what I exactly want to know is if there is any advanced feature of Adobe Flash by which the homepage won't slow down while loading.
Kind suggestions are greatly appreciated in advance!
The screenshot of slower loading as the result of jquery effect:

If you just want to change the way that the photo section works, then, it is most likely that a Flash version of the photo display might be smoother and faster to play than the jquery version that you are now using. Its difficult to guarantee a result. You have 10 css libraries and 8 js libraries that are called along with a good bit of inline js that is running on this site. So it will be difficult to say how quickly or smoothly a Flash .swf file will download and play.
I'm guessing that Flash will be faster, but then I also think that going door to door and handing people a print of the photo would be faster than the jquery file that is running. You may want to look at the possible interference that you have on the current site between the various js and css files that are trying to display the content.

  • Infrastructure for installing advanced features like RAC, ASM and DataGuard

I have been working in Oracle for an year now and would like to start working on advanced features like ASM, DataGuard and RAC. Currently I use a 32bit laptop with OEL6.3 installed with 4GB RAM. Is this system sufficient to install and practice  ASM, DataGuard and RAC. To be more specific I would like to know whether 32bit would suffice OR I need a 64bit  system for this?

I'd say you are pushing it.
These features are usually used in multi-server environments.
You could work with multiple VM's, but 4 GB sounds very limited.
I had a quick look at introduction to the Data Guard Hands On Lab, and it seems it's hosted in the Amazon Cloud.

  • Preview print panel

After install Snow Leopard I lost the option 'Don't fit page dimensions automatically' in print panel when I try to print a PDF.
    Thanks.

    Hi gnomehost,
I'm having the exact same problem with my Canon MP630, immediately after I installed snow leopard, which did not exist before on 10.5.x. It is especially frustrating for my needs, as I am printing DVD artwork for client projects, and scaling just looks unprofessional.
My document's dimensions are precisely the dimensions supplied by the print driver for the DVD tray, though Preview.app for some reason believes that a 94% scaling is in order. Perhaps compensating for the print margins?
I have managed to get the problem down to a specific action. If you change the scale to 100% (or presumably other values as well), then change to another page in the print panel (such as 'Layout', 'Paper Handling' or your printer's custom options), the scale will still read as 100%, but the printout will be at the calculated scale value (94% in my case). Setting the scale value last, and not changing to another settings page after this is set, seems to work in my case to get 100% prints.
In spite of that, I almost always want to print at 100%, and I feel your pain at the loss of this very useful setting.
Mason, your lack of need for a particular feature in no way invalidates that need for others. Perhaps you can better understand why with the example of printing on a DVD which has very real and unchanging dimensions. In the future, please consider that this type of comment can be considered quite rude.

  • Capturing Lookout Print Panel Output to File

I have tried setting my default printer to the FILE: port but do not get a dialog asking for the file to save to. All other programs printing to this printer ask for a filename but Lookout does not. How can I capture the panel printout to an EPS file?

I've installed a while ago HP LaserJet 2100 Series PS driver and now I've tried to set up this driver to create an .eps file from Lookout panels. And, this worked pretty well with Lookout 5.0.
    1. Set the PS (postscript) printer driver to be default
    2. Configure the driver to point to a FILE: port (see image 1)
    3. Configure the driver to generate an .eps (General>Printing Preferences>Advanced>PostScript Options>PostScript Output Option set it to EPS (see image 2)
    4. Print Panel you will be prompt for file name and you could type e.g. c:\temp\testpanel.eps)
Other PostScript printer should work defenitly too. You might consult your postscript printer manual on how to set it up to print a .eps
    Hope this helps.
    Roland
PS: It might be the printer dri
ver that does not prompt you. Which driver are you using? Which version of Lookout are you using?

My Envy 7645 does not have the grayscale option in advanced set up to print in black and white

Hi , Welcome to the HP Forums! I see that your HP Envy 7645 does not have the grayscale option in advanced set up to print in black and white, on Windows 7. I am happy to help!  It is possible, that you may only have the basic driver installed, instead of the full feature software and drivers. I would recommend to try our HP Print and Scan Doctor first, to see if ti can resolve the issue automatically. Otherwise, please try the following steps:  Uninstall the software. Uninstalling the Printer Software.Clean boot the computer. How to perform a clean boot in Windows.Disable any Antivirus programs. Disable Antivirus software.Disable any firewall programs. Turn Windows Firewall on or off.Create a new user account. • Print panel to printer.vi

I cannot get the Print Panel to Printer.vi to recognize that a VI contained in a lvlib (LV8) is actually loaded into memory.  This VI exposes the VIPrintPanelToPrinter function from the labview.exe file and the first arg is a string that represents the VI name.   It will not work if I pass   "Library Name.lvlibome VI to Print.vi" as an argument. I get error 1004 - the VI is not in memory.  If I save the exact same VI as "Some VI to Print.vi" and call the Print Panel to Printer.vi with "Some VI to Print.vi", everythine is fine.  Also, I understand that this function call into labview.exe is how "File->Print" is called from the LabVIEW menu - at least it used to be.  So, can someone tell me how to represent the VI name passed into Print Panel to Printer.vi when the VI I want to print is in a lvlib?
    Thanks
    Mark

    mesmith-nm wrote:
    JLS,
    Thanks
for the interest in my question - I also posed this question to NI and
the application engineer sent this as part of his
    reply
    "As you know, lvlibs are
brand new in LabVIEW 8, and the VIPrintPanelToPrinter function is quite
ancient and hasn't been commonly used since the introduction of VI
Server. Based off of our initial investigation, it appears that the
VIPrintPanelToPrinter function does not have the infrastructure to
accommodate lvlibs and I have created a bug report for R&D to
investigate this issue further and to attempt to fix it for future
    releases."
So the short answer is it can't be done.  But
does anybody have a way they handle print dialogs (which is why I want
to use the Print Panel to Printer.vi - it can open a native Windows
print dialog) that works for them?  I would be curious to see how
    others do it.
    The way I have solved
this in the past (not because of LabVIEW 8 but because my print dialog
needed additional options, was to create my own print dialog. Agreed it
does not look like the fancy XP print dialog with pretty icons for all
the printers but it does work and give my users the specific control
they need. You have two Application property nodes, one returns the
currently available printers and the other returns or sets the
currently used printer. This is enough to create a printer dialog in
which you can select the printer to use. Then have a LabVIEW front
panel setup to be the printout you want and configure it to print when
it completes. Make that VI initilialize all controls properly and then
finish. From you own print dialog call this print VI.
Takes a bit time, does not be a native print dialog (but what do you
want, most of the other option you can choose there besides of the
printer to use do not have any effect on the printing really), and it
    works like a charm.

  • Printed front panel graphics quality (Print Panel to Printer method vs. Append Front Panel Image to Report.vi)

    LV 6.02 (or 6.1)
    NT 4.0
I have a vi that the front panel includes all the information I need to print except that it is on different pages of a tab control to conserve screen space. I was attempting to programatically cycle the value of the tab control in a For loop and invoke the Print Panel to Printer method to print 7 pages of the front panel, each with a different tab page selected. The printouts were excellent quality but beginning with the second consecutive Print Panel to Printer method the on screen front panel image of the VI being printed would become jumbled (sometimes, by the time 7 printings were done, the entire front panel image would disappe
ar and a bitmap of the desktop or underlying windows would be visible in the VI's panel frame) yet the subsequent Print Panel to Printer methods continued to print the panel as they should appear. The visible front panel graphics would never return to normal and the only solution was to close the vi (in the dev system) or exe (compiled) and re-launch. I tried a lot of things (like hiding the panel to print before printing and showing it after printing) with no luck. It appears that two or more of these consecutive invoke methods caused the problem regardless of whether the tabs were cycling, or even if there was no tab control and much fewer controls on the panel to be printed than normal. I also had the same problem with LV 6.1.
Finally, I was forced to switch to the report generation toolkit vi's, I cycle through the tab pages and use the Append Front Panel Image to Report.vi to append each image to the report. This is faster and control returns to my program quicker but I a
m unhappy with the printed quality of the graphics of the front panels. They are not as high of resolution as those generated via the Print Panel to Printer method.
    Any suggestions?

You might try changing the way the VI is printed by going to tools >> options >> printing. Try the postscript and bitmap settings.
