Dave, I do not understand how the link helps.  I have no AirPrint capable printers but I still have the print option.
The link is to the instructions on using Airprint, lllaass. Benny didn't say in his first post that he had an Airprint printer or knew how to use it. Hence I gave him a place to start.

I am trying to copy 3 photos from an album in iPhoto to my iPhone. I have tried to move them to PhotoStream. I "select" the photos in the Album and then click on PhotoStream in the "Share" menu at the bottom of the screen. Nothing happens.  I have also tried emailing them tyo myself but iPhoto won't send the email. It tells me it doesn't recognize my ID and password. My operating is Lion on an iMac.

Thank you for responding to my question, above, this morning. And thank you for the link about PhotoStream. It was helpful in understanding how Photostream works, but, unfortunately, doesn't really reference my problem since it assumes that the photos were originated on one of my  Apple devices. The photos I want to copy to my iPhone are in an album on iPhoto but I had originally downloaded them from my camera to my iMac then moved them to the album. The confusing thing for me is that they are 3 of a dozen photos takern over a period of 12 years on different digital cameras (two were taken on film and later scanned and eventually moved to the album in iPhoto) and all but three of the photos moved to photostream and are on my iPhone. It is those three, which were all taken on digital cameras and moved to the album, which I can't get to move to Photostream.

  • Why is the "Send to iDVD" command missing from the share menu in iPhoto 9.4.3 when trying to send a slideshow to iDVD?

How come the "Send to iDVD" command is missing from the share menu? In iPhoto I used to be able to send my slideshows to iDVD simply my clicking on the slideshow, selecting the "Share" menu at the top and going to "Send to iDVD". Now in iPhoto 9.4.3 that option is missing.
Further i am also using iDVD 7.1.2 and running OSX version 10.8.3.
    Thanks!

Export the slideshow via the Export button at the bottom of the slideshow window with Size = Medium or Large.
Open iDVD, choose a theme and drag the exported movie file to the menu window being careful to avoid any drop zones.
Follow this workflow to help ensure the best quality video DVD:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the  File ➙ Save as Disk Image  menu option.  This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image and launch DVD Player and play it.  If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding was good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality.  Always use top quality media:  Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.

  • Where is the SHARE Menu located in iPhoto?

Hello. In the Apple procedures for backing up photos, they indicate the following:Copy your photo library to a CD or DVD
    1. Select your Library, roll, album, or individual photos you want to burn to a disc.
    2. Click the Share menu, and choose Burn.
    3. Insert a blank CD or DVD into your drive.
    4. Name your disc.
    5. Click the Burn button in the Burn Disc window.
Can someone advise me where the SHARE MENU is? I have tried to find it, but no luck. Is it in the Toolbar or is it somewhere on the iPhoto page itself? Thanks.

    ws,
Which one would you suggest as a trade-off for economy, ease of use and reliability?>>>
I'll add my vote here for PhotoShop Elements, since I do use it. It's very flexible: easy for beginners, yet powerful for more advanced use. I've had every version from PSE 1 up to 4, and it's been worth every penny each time.
For your second question, I have a different approach. iPhoto and PSE are different types of applications, with different strengths, which work very well in tandem as 2 parts of a workflow. I use iPhoto to organize my photos. The more I play with its features the more I like it. Now that I have added keywords to all my photos, I can use Smart Albums or the keyword tool to pull up any set of photos I could imagine almost instantly. As an image editor, however, iPhoto is quite limited. Fine for a quick crop or red-eye fix, but that's about it.
For image editing I use PSE 4. I set in up in iPhoto's preferences as my external editor. Double-click in iPhoto to open the image in PSE. Edit, click Save, and the edited version is automatically saved back into iPhoto. Simple.
PSE 4 comes with Adobe Bridge, written for PC users who don't have the benefit of iPhoto. I don't know about the version of Bridge that comes with Photoshop CS2, but the version I have is a highly crippled version compared to Bridge on a PC. On a PC you create catalogs, version sets, tags, etc. to organize your photos and be able to search them (like with iPhoto). But the Mac version is lacking all of these features. It is simply a file browser that lets you open files from your own folders and add metadate. You can search by that metadata, I suppose. Anyway, there is no benefit to transferring your files to Bridge whatsoever. It does not store your files for you. You'd lose all the functionalities of iPhoto, and gain only a crippled PC app. BTW, I tried using Bridge when I first got it with PSE 4. It just doesn't work well for photos inside the iPhoto library, because accessing them from Bridge is the same as accessing them through the Finder (a no-no). I am much happier with my iPhoto to PSE workflow. I use only Bridge to browse and access images that I keep outside of iPhoto, like scrapbook projects.
System requirements for PSE 4: http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshopelmac/systemreqs.html indicate OS X (10.3) or higher. PSE 3.0 works with 10.2.8 or 10.3. Version 3 does not come with Bridge; it has a file browser built in, which you can ignore if you are using iPhoto. You can find it for $35 on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Photoshop-Elements-3-0-Mac/dp/B0002UDQAO/sr=1-4/qid= 1172615161/ref=sr14/103-9537804-8479040?ie=UTF8&s=software

  • Email is not an option in the Share menu in Photos.

OS X 10.10.3; 13 inch Macbook. It is my understanding to email pictures in Photos you have to  click on the picture and go to the share button.  However, email is not an option there. If I click the "More" menu choice at the bottom of the Share menu then I see Email as a checked option in the Extensions window that opens. But at no time do I see a way to actually send the photo with mail.

What I discovered is that you must make Mail the default mail program by going to the Mail program-->Preferences-->General and making Mail the default program. I don't want to do that as I use Thunderbird for my email. So Photos is a step backwards for me. I'm back to having to drag the photos out of the Photos app, size them, and then send them, the way I used to do in iPhoto before it had an outgoing email message function. Sounds like Apple is using Photos to force you into using Mail

  • Why is the "iDVD" gray in the Share menu?

I want to burn a movie to DVD. In the Share menu, the iDVD is gray and cannot be selected. This is not true for other projects. How do I find out why and how do I fix it?
Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi
Do not use "Share to iDVD" - BUT
    "Share to Media Browser"
In iDVD import from Media Browser here.
The resulting DVD will be so much better.

You may be attempting to Share (export) the movie from the Event Library. You need to create a Project, drag clips (or segments of clips) from the Event to the Project, then use the Share menu to export the Project. Movie clips can't be exported directly from the Event. Clips you add to a Project reference (point to) the clips in the associated Event (or Events).

  • HT4997 I want to burn a movie to a dvd with iMovie but idvd doesn't show up in the "share" menu--why?  My SuperDrive indicates that my DVD+R can be written to.  Please Help.

I just spent a week creating an iMovie and wanted to burn it to a DVD.  The instruction tutorial said to go to the "Share" menu and select "iDVD", however there is no "iDVD" listed in that memu.  I checked to see that my DVD+R was writeable in my SuperDrive--it is?  Why doesn't "idvd" show in the "share" menu?  Please help, thank you.  Fustrated Mark.

I may have found a way around this issue. I have the old style mouse with a wired usb connection. I've learned from other discussions that by holding down the 'Control' key and pressing the mouse button on an Apple a menu similar to the right-click menu of a PC will appear. When I tried this from the 'Project Library' on iMovie on my iMAC, a menu appears that DOES contain the export to iDVD choice. This choice is still not visible from the 'Share' menu in the menubar. This appears to be some glitch in the Apple software, but my computer is currently formulating the iMovie into the iDVD format. I have my fingers crossed.

  • I want to share my project but the share menu is grey

I am using FCPX and have made a sequence and now want to share my project but the share menu is grey. I have used it a month ago and shared on line and made a dvd but now it is only grey.

Trash the application and reinstall. Most likely you have a software conflict. Most likely MacKeeper.

  • Can anybody tell me where the export current frame option is in the new final cut update? It used to be under the share menu but that menu has now been removed.

Can anybody tell me where the export current frame option is in the new final cut update? It used to be under the share menu but that menu has been removed now.

When I click File> Share> There is no save current frame option. Also Cmd E isn't working either.

  • I can't send spreadsheets using the Share menu.

When I click on one of the "share via email" formats to send a Numbers spreadsheet all I get is the sound/tone that happens when something isn't working. Mail does not open or anything. I have Mail set up on my Mac so it should work right?  I am running OSX 10.8.4.

The most common cause of the share menu not working to send a document via e-mail is having "illegal" characters in the file name, most commonly a /. Stick to letters, numbers, spaces, hyphens & underscores & you shouldn't have a problem.

  • Remove Twitter from the share menu.

How do I remove twitter from the share menu in Safari 6?
I have no interest in it being there at all.

You should let Apple know what you think:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html
Perhaps there might be such an option in the future.  For now, I think Apple wants everyone to see that it's there.
For those that use Twitter it is acutally a cool feature.  Not so much, I guess, for people that don't.

  • I have five projects in my Final Pro X Project Library. Four can be exported via the "Share" menu, one cannot.

For this one project, the "Share" menu can be twirled open, but none of the choices on the menu are active..they are greyed out. I don't understand what the difference is between this project, and the other projects that would cause this. I am noticing that this particular project is configured as 1080p HD, and the others are standard def. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

With further inspection, thanks for your guidance, it turned out that the timeline contained media linked directly off off the SD card. After ejecting the SD card, redness showed up. We will be in good shape going forward. Now I need to figure out how to re-link what's in the timeline to a local copy of the file on the hard drive. But, you solved our issue. Thank you!

  • Facebook is missing from the 'Share' menu

I have successfully moved my iPhoto library to Photos. I wish to upload some pictures to Facebook, but under the Share button, my only options are 'iCloud Photo Sharing' and 'More' - which only opens the settings.
Under 'Internet Accounts' inside System Preferences, I am logged into all of my social media accounts, Facebook, Twitter etc.
Any ideas why Facebook isn't appearing in Photos? I could always upload to Facebook from iPhoto......

I have this issue when I select too many photos. Try selecting ~30 photos instead of a whole album. When I do this, I have the option.
It's annoying that it can't do all of them at once. Has anyone found a fix for this?
